We ordered the chicken and rice as well as their special Bahn mi sandwich. My husband really enjoyed the chicken and rice. The Bahn mi sandwich was reasonably priced and really tasty.

My honeymoon was in Vietnam and that is where I had my first banh mi. I literally waited to have my first there. It was amazing! J&Q is the only place I have found that brings the same quality and taste that I had in Vietnam.They also have my favorite Vietnamese coffee and I’ve tried quite a few on the area

Have been looking for a local Vietnamese place to replace another that has sadly closed during the pandemic of the last several years, and J&Q fits the bill. A mom & pop, have been a couple of times now, and will keep going - banh mi sandwiches are on point, bread is baked on site, and are bigger than most other places I’ve gotten sandwiches from. Tasty egg rolls and spring rolls (have had the grilled pork version and even ate it the next day… like cold pizza… still tasty) are also larger than normal, so you won’t likely go hungry after ordering from here. The grilled pork, J&Q special, and Spam and egg banh mi are good and I plan to go thru the rest of the sandwich menu. Eager to try the Pho and rice dishes, but am sold on this place for sure. Friendly and courteous service. Can’t go wrong here.

Food is always good, consistent quality. I enjoy the spring rolls and my family gets the banh mi. Food always takes a long time to prepare but is fresh. They dont have a great system for customizing dishes so I would be cautious if you have allergies.

This place is waaay better than Lee’s sandwiches OMG I got the grilled pork sandwich it was so fresh the pork had a very good flavor. The bread and veggies were fresh. The Vietnamese coffe was good as well. I would definitely go back!

Ordering is incredibly difficult. their online menu shows sides. they claim they have only 1 side. it was discouraged by being described as small. i described the other sides id seen on their online menu. they dont know what a side is, & they dont know what scrambled is. the person remained confused. i asked if it was possible for the business to sell these items to a customer. the answer was yes, but she discouraged it because the fried egg was only 1 egg, & the scrambled eggs were only 2 eggs.i dont understand this employees perpetual confusion, time-wasting, & discouragement! frankly, i find it very rude!

I have tried their beef rice and fired rice, all tasted pretty good. However, their grilled pork chop is so disappointed. I hate pork skin and it tastes weird .

Very good, the beef stew is good with choices of bread, rice or rice noodle. The shredded chicken sandwich is also very good and very big!

The place is supper clean and workers are amazingly friendly. My daughters love Phở and bread here ( you can tell base on pictures) my parent love J&G special and coffee is so addicted. According to my parent, foods from this restaurant reminds them of Vietnam lots. Highly recommended 🤗

We got the JQ special soup and the JQ special bahn mi and it was so much food for 2 to split we took enough home for each of us to have another entire meal. The pho and bahn mi were excellent!

Its not just a sandwich place, although they are really good, its much more with pho, beef brisket, soups stews & chiclen & beef fried rice. The atmosphere is clean pleasent

This restaurant was competent, but not exceptional. I had the tofu vermicelli. Ingredients were fresh tasting, but did there have to be so much iceberg lettuce? There was a lot of tofu, but the thickness of the slices meant that the ratio of exterior crispy to interior uncooked was off. The egg rolls were piping hot, but a little bland. Some of it was probably my own personal preference. I missed the peanuts, but it is probably much easier for the restaurant to be peanut free. I prefer it when my noodles are hot, but I understand it is much quicker during the lunch rush to cook them in advance.

Their sandwiches are really good, but I come here for the drinks! Love a good Vietnamese coffee and their Thai tea is great too. The people behind the counter are always kind and friendly. If I lived closer and didnt just pass thru on my commute, I would eat here regularly.

Nice and clean place. Service ok. Sandwich is bland but bread is good. Very thin slices of meat, almost tastes like a vege sandwich. Spring rolls rather tasteless, not enough shrimp but tons of lettuce. Dipping sauce on bland side too. Not much choice in the area. Ill come back but not for the $10 Sandwich, gonna try pho.

First time here, and I absolutely LOVED it!!! I ordered the pork spring rolls and the hubby had a Vietnamese coffee. He said the coffee was beyond expectation, where as I was flabbergasted by how good the spring rolls were. Being pregnant, and dealing with hyperemesis, the food not only settled well, I have a feeling this will become a new craving! To top everything off, the service was amazing, the place has hand sanitizer at every table and was sparkling clean! I cant wait to come back!!!

Im so happy I found this place! Possibly the best Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches) in socal.I ordered their special combo sandwich, a Vietnamese coffee, and an egg roll. The portions are large. All their ingredients are fresh. The patte and vegetables are perfectly seasoned not too salty or vinegary like Lees or other places. Im definitely going to be a regular here.

The pho tastes familiar but just better. Every ingredient individually is better than any other pho I can recall having. Noodles were not soggy, meat was delicious and the meatballs were the best I have ever had. The bahn mi was spectacular as well.

The bahn mi and vermicelli are sooooo good. The bread is super fresh and softer than other places. The flavors they use are great and the cucumber wedges makes the sandwich more refreshing. The egg rolls are a good treat too.The hours are fairly restrictions and it makes it hard for me to get there, but the hours are understandable for a small, local restaurant in that area. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I LOVE a good banh mi, and boy, did they deliver! Portions were huge... almost twice the size of what I’m used to. Flavors were excellent! I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and it did not disappoint! Super strong, just how I like it! I’m happy I found this place. I no longer have to drive to Garden Grove to get my banh mi! (Sorry, Google, I don’t have any photos. I ate my sandwiches too fast!)

Clean little shop with nice choices. I had the grilled pork bahn mi with loads of marinated pork. More expensive and nicer than the volume places. They have pho, stew, fried rice, spring rolls. Not the full Vietnamese menu, but more than sandwiches.

The beef banh mi is so so good. The beef is tender, the vegetables are crisp, the sauces are the perfect amount, and the baguette is quality - soft bread with flaky crust. Ive had the traditional pork too and its stellar. Their Thai and milk teas are also excellent.

Very clean space, loved that there is outdoor seating. Our Bahn mi were huge. We loved the bread, it was toasted but still soft and you can taste the buttery sweet flavor.

They have the best Bahn mi in the local area. The bread is amazing and they use pâté, not just mayo. Pho broth is really good, other dishes are okay. Should definitely try their Bahn Mi and beef stew. They also have a fried shrimp Bahn mi that is unique and very delicious. If you like po boys and Asian food, you should give it try.

No happy, I had big expectations about this place. I asked my sandwich without jalapeño because it give a reaction in my tongue and still they put jalapeños on it . I even asked her if she put jalapeños when she gave my order and she said no !! Teste is not bad, but the jalapeños ruined for me. People there needs to pay more attention

I LOVE this place I tried all of the difference fillings Banh Mi on the menu.. omg all are incredibly amazing, you can leave the bread out for days and still soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Their Pho is delicious also. I come here at least 3 times a weeks oh and dont forget to try the iced coffee. AMAZING!!
