JS Foothill Restaurant in Pasadena

Delicious dim sum! The char siu baos are very big, soft, and the bbq pork has amazing flavor! The service here is great and they are very kind! My only complaint is the thickness of the rice rolls and dumpling skin. Personally, I like it a bit thinner. The egg custard buns were not too sweet and filled generously! All the food is reasonably priced. Come support this small business!

Found this tasty new dim sum spot in Hastings Ranch and the food was delicious! Their Beef Chow Fun, Singapore Style Noodles and Shrimp & Pork Shumai were all fantastic! All the staff is polite and theres free parking outside. Cant wait to try some of their other offerings.

I hadnt known JS existed until today -- the restaurant Id intended to eat at apparently closed but as I was hungry, I looked around to see what my options were. Im so glad I found JS.Im still here now -- dont want to forget to thank the owner and staff for the kind, generous service and relaxing atmosphere (great, mellow piano music playing!), the nice variety on the menu, and the fresh, spot-on delicious food. I opted for some faves (spring rolls and chicken chow fun), and I tried the steamed shrimp and chives dumplings and they were delightful.Ill definitely be back!

The food was fresh and tasty! It was a great value. We will add JS Foothill restaurant to our rotation of Chinese and dim sum places.The ambiance was nice but the muzak and large screen TVs with sports on were not exactly my style - but the food and value do make up for it.

This is a new restaurant and I liked the décor. it is very attractive yet subtle and sophisticated.I had hot and sour soup as well as some dim sum, and it was all delicious.The prices are also very reasonable, this is a great place,

Noticed this new place the other day when I was going to Ralphs and decided to get a quick takeout order and give it a try.They were very nice and the rice dish (chicken and salty fish fried rice) I ordered was good. Itll be nice to have this place as a closer option and not have to go into TC or Arcadia for Chinese food. They have a large and varied menu selection, and lunch specials which I hope to try soon.

Ran into this place because I had to park further to pick up my T-Mobile Tuesday swag. Its right next to Ralphs, so you can always order to go, then hit up Ralphs. After shopping take your hot dinner home.Menu says Mandarin & Szechuan, but might be some Cantonese too. I didnt ask for anything special like tomato beef from May Mei since I was trying dim sum.The Dim Sum is great here and large. It just opened about a month ago so of course its updated pricing that all new places have.Plus I didnt have drive all the way down Baldwin for dim sum from Full House. I hope this place succeeds and stays open so this part of arcadia has a nice closer chinese place.Inside seating has booths and tables.For pricing if I take out the 3 sticky Rice $5.99 (×3=$18) and porridge $11 (basically$30 extra), then its more $20 per person vs 30. I got some double orders.Food reviewThe A2 steamed bbq pork buns white bread was nice and sweet. Its hard to notice the sweetness when you get mini ones from other places.The B12 baked bbq pork buns had a nice buttery flavor to them.B8 Deep fried meat Dumplings had a nice crunchy outise and chewy skin.B2 shrimp and pork Sui Mi were bigger than what Im use and smelled so good.I didnt hear complaints from my parents about the b5 chicken feet.A7 sticky Rice with meat had a lot of soft cooked nuts, I split it with my mom and her side got all the meat lol.D2 seasame balls were crunchy.PN3 preserved Egg & Pork Porridge was for my mom and I didnt hear any complaints either.

Dim sums are not bad. Order the main dishes. Tofu and vegetables and Walnut shrimp. Fresh veggies and not over done with the sauces. Great Service!!!

Saw this new restaurant and decided to give it a try. Their food has been delicious and their waiter and host are very nice.

I saw 5 star reviews for this place and was befuddled. The services is fine - BUT the food quality is not good (the dim sum experience was challenged) . Additionally, one of the reviewers indicated that this was $10 -$20 place (this is VERY disingenuous - for the 2 of us it was $50 plus) However, I could be wrong - SO I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO GO TRY THIS PLACE and if desired give a review.Dont get me wrong - the folks here seem nice. I do not have issues with people. (they even replied and seem geniune, that is much appreciated) In fairness you might find the food more to your taste. (give them a try)
