J.Tranis Ristorante in San Pedro

A wonderful evening! All the food was excellent, service was also the best we have had in the last three years! Seemed like just minutes between our Calamari appetizer order and when it arrived at our table! My duck was super tender and wonderfully paired with the Roman gnocchi with wine reduction. My wifes pork chop was also excellent but the size was more suited to a super hungry dock worker! My friends also enjoyed their Meals as well, the Seafood linguini excellent and loaded with Salmon and large Shrimp. And the price was very reasonable as well. Thank you Nick for a wonderful evening!

I had a small pizza with mozzarella, arugula, and shrimp ($24). Just a few small pieces of tasty shrimp, which were cut into even smaller pieces. Pizza somewhat soggy in places, lacked uniform crispy, firm crust. Some spots were less warm than others, leading me to suspect it may have been pre-made and cooked from frozen. Its not a bad pizza, but it is not one I would order again.

Love their Carbonara!!! The best bike tasted!!!! The Trani salad dressing is superb!

Ive spent about a month in Italy, and the food is generally fabulous. J Trains is bringing it to LA. Chill vibe, friendly staff, complete bar with a good wine list. Prices are very fair, and we consider dining here an excellent value. You may meet lots of locals here for good reason - great experience all around.

Food was amazing! Still thinking about it! Decor is simple friendly old world Villa style. But still—- food and drinks were the star of the show!i

I cant believe I lived in the Southbay for 25 years without knowing this restaurant! It has suddenly become my favorite as their scallops are some of the most delicious Ive had in my life!

Fancy dining in San Pedro? Hmm ... this place has some good appetizers and their pizza is surprisingly good. Chicken marsala was really good. Pasta is so so in my opinion. Oh yeah and the sauce from the braised short rib was extremely delicious. Four stars for being expensive and quirky.

A very nice small Italian restaurant. Our waitress (Christina) was excellent.The food was outstanding. Very nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great Food but need to improve on the bread service.Had Halibut, spegetti and meatballs, filled by the most incredible bread pudding! Food was a culinary delight.
