The food is too salty; I literally spent $20 for a box of salt. I was excited to try this place because of the great reviews, and the never-ending line in the store only added onto this hype. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and Pozole to-go and sadly, I couldn’t taste any of the ingredients because of the saltiness… I threw it away. Please bear in mind that this is a personal opinion, but also consider your health if you’re eating here monthly. The service is great and they offer a wide selection of Mexican bread/pastries; hence the two stars.

The BEST tortillas in town! Just came here for the first time last week and left super happy. The corn tortillas are soft and out of this world. The flour tortillas are kinda crispy when heated and super buttery. The salsas are super buenísimos. You can dine in or takeout. I noticed that they have a lot of usuals who come in for lunch and dinner. They also offer pan dulce. I gave them three stars because they don’t have many vegetarian and veggie options. I did order a veggie quesadilla but was not impressed. My parent had the cocido and the albóndigas and loved it. Sooooo if you’re a meat eater this place is def a place to visit. If you don’t eat meat just get the tortillas, salsas, and pan dulce and run.

Food is good and it’s like always busy, very close to real Mexican taste. I ordered the Caldo de Res and I got more vegetables than meat, so that goes to show that they are stingy with their food and it had a lot of grease too.

Wow,double wow. I ordered the combination which comes with your choice of 2- tacos, tamales, enchiladas and so much more. I got 1 carnitas taco,1 shredded beef enchilada with rice and beans. All for under $13.00. Plus they give you chips and salsa. The carnitas taco was huge and full of flavor. The enchilada was just right with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Definitely be coming back to this place.

My wife and I have made this restaurant our only Mexican go to...Over the years, I have stopped to get go orders for work at 7:30AM, have used them for parties, and now have two more generations that are absolutely hooked!! We love the staff and appreciate their “aim to please” attitude! Ten + stars are deserved, as far as we are concerned👏🏻👏🏻😋

I came to this spot today and let me tell you it was the worst experience in my life! I came in to eat a burrito with my boyfriend and we got seated fairly quick but our waitress was just the worst her name was karen first off she just very rude from the jump when i asked for a manger she said there wasn’t one in so would could just leave a review and deal with it she needs to be fired I don’t understand if you don’t like your job it’s not the customers fault plus the food was bad. But i did see this other waitress she was short with glasses and she seemed to be actually doing her job right props to her!

Dined there last night for first time. Got a warm welcome at the door like they we re glad to see us! Off to a great start, I always ask about best dish? Pozole was suggested for a cold night and a couple hard shell carnitas tacos (YUMM!) Chips and salsa while we waited for our food. Salsa pretty mild for this guedo.Already thinking about going back for lunch. Reasonable priced. great service and excellent food. Woohoo!

Always 5 Star….food and the young ladies that run the front. They are ALWAYS so nice, friendly and never ever lose their cool; even in the heat. They work as a team helping customers and each other. I LOVE the pan dulce here 🍞 🥖 🥐 there’s so much variation, everyone has a favorite. I don’t eat the food very often here, but when I do, I get a plate of Chicharrón en salsa, it comes with rice, beans and tortillas. The food is good but the owners misstreat theie employes and take advantage of them! By experience i say it., saw it happening some years ago and it was sad to see the people working there had to stay quiet to avoif loosing a job. Cashiers got their break or lunch time but the guys working in the back doing tortillas and washing or cleaning the area didnt get their lunch time sometimes. They occasionally ate a tamal or taco while working in fast pace. The lady owner(wont say her name) had very rude attitude, and hated when an employee called her when required some information that only her could provide.

Good Mexican food at a decent price. I like that they dont have massive portions like other Mexican restaurants, its just the right amount of food. Its definitely authentic and if you can get some of their fresh tortillas as they are making them, they are awesome! Im only giving them 4 stars because some of their food is extremely greasy.

The prices are reasonable...quality of food is good..good selection..friendly service. We were there at 11:30 am on Tuesday, day after Christmas..there was a line out the door..the manager lady went over to the people in line and took their food order...the line quickly disappeared. They deliver the food to your table, after you order at the front kitchen counter area. They have a good bakery selection. It was a cold day, it is better to sit near the kitchen area to stay warmer. I will return again for the food. Reason it is not a 4 start is because the exterior parking lot and exterior side walk are not clean. The side walk of the store fronts needs a good steam cleaning...but it is worth over looking the exterior of the strip shopping area to get to the good food inside. Hint..select the soups and food already cooked at the counter display..you will get very fast service. They have a very good selection of tacos and I really really loved their Pozole.

This was my dads favorite restaurant, so weve been coming here since 1999. I dont live in Southern California anymore, but whenever were here, we visit Julians. In fact, I just picked up a dozen of their sweet tamales (pork, raisins and pineapple) that they ONLY make at Christmas to take back to Colorado with me! Definitely worth a visit!!!

I would give this place a zero it deserves if I had that option. I deliver orders for a living, I went to this business today and was shocked to see they were so irresponsible with customers considering the current virus crisis. Customers were standing next to each other as if nothing was wrong. No limits in safety was followed like other places I picked up orders at. They ignored me at the pickup area, 3 employees passed by me and never asked me about my order. I unassigned my order due to the amount of people allowed to just fill up this place. Great place to catch the virus, no caring to their customers safety.

Their breakfast special was a good price and the chorizo burrito was delish but than pan dulce chocolate was dry and I ordered 1 dozen chicken tamales for $22.50 that I feel where too over priced. They were not that tasty and were certainly not worth the price. I would not order again. Folks.... Just ask for a taste if possible before you SPEND that much $ on your food... Bon Appetite...

Julians as always has great food, but I went in there the other day to have dinner and at the table I was sitting at there where ants by my window. I told one of the female workers about it, and instead of doing something about it with an attitude she sends someone else after my food is brought to me. How disgusting to spray, bug spray well Im eating. So poor customer service on her part. She needs to learn to people skills Ill still continue to order food there because i love there breakfast burritos. Try the Choizo with egg & potatoes...😋But not eat there. So Im giving it a 4 🌟 STAR for there food. But a 2 STAR as far as costumer service for that day.

Julians is my favorite place for Christmas tamales. This year I got 27 dozen between myself and my dad for us and giving as gifts. They get the blessing from my Hispanic friends. We gave out so many since we could not spend time with family & friends this COVID year. It was such an appreciated gift that I think I will do this again next year. Our personal favorite is the green chili and cheese. My son eats the beef ones like they are a burrito. You must pre-order in one dozen increments and make an appt to pick them up. Last day for pre-orders was Dec 15 @ 5pm. I think pre-orders started in November. I split them into a variety pack and gave each a dozen.

Tried this spot during our weekend out and about. Food was ok. I got the menudo and my wife got 2 tacos de tripas and a sope de asada. (Tripas were good, sope was ok. Asada on it was good and the menudo was ok. Their costumer service is what needs addressing. Nothing rude but very cold.......I would think you greet paying customers with a smile and make them feel welcomed so they come back.

Amazing authentic mexican cuisine, as someone who grew up eating grandmas home made tamales and menudo during the holidays i find this restaurant to be a refreshing reminder of my old mexican traditional meals and sweets. Pan dulce (sweet bread) and not to mention great array of mexican food from menudo, tamales, enchiladas, tacos, really is a great place to sit down and eat some classic food! For my english only speakers dont be intimidated, the entire staff is fluent in english and they even accept card payments or cash, not to mention all of their tortillas are hand made in house as well provided with all your meals if you want. Family friendly environment, perfect for kids and adults alike. Overall great place for mexican food!

Julian’s was in a posting years ago and we went once. Three years ago we went again and realized we had left a diamond in the rough lying around.A bit rough, a bit of a diamond, they didn’t have a restroom until late last year.They are a supplier of corn tortillas to much of the region, and theirs are very good.But here’s the main point. I have had their carnitas wet burritos for a couple of years because they’re so very good. But the true test of a Mexican restaurant is their chile relleno, if they even make one.Julian’s chile relleno is as near the ideal for such a place as I have tried. You know how you go to, say, El Torito or the like and you wish it really did taste like Mexican food, but it doesn’t? Not here. A delicious, sumptuous batter that is never, ever soggy as they often are elsewhere, and a nicely roasted chile full of cheese and just as full of flavor. Julian’s lives up to its aspirations every time.I don’t practically ever give five stars. A place would need a better environment and something like a view and/or comfortable outdoor seating. So this one gets my four stars for excellent food.

Julians is one of those hole in the wall spots that has great food. They were in the middle of making tamales when I stopped in for breakfast burritos. This was my first time there. They have a small hot food line with carnitas and other meats to take home. Their menu isnt very large. Just the basics...tacos, burritos, tortas. I bought a chorizo burrito and a machaca burrito. They were both great. The beans were awesome. Ill definitely be back.

Long line during Covid, if you preorder and go to the counter to pick up your preorder, people in line will be angry toward you. Once the same worker who told you your food will be ready in 20 minutes will tell you to wait 45 minutes longer when you are there 30 minutes later after you called to pick up food.
