Is this a beautiful property - YES! Do they have a decent (not amazing) spa - Yes. Do they have a lot of things to do on property - Yes. AND THAT is what you are paying for.THESE ROOMS need renovating so badly I dont even know how strongly I can word this.What is crazy is that we had an executive suite and this room was still so meh. When you have a bed that the sheets LITERALLY CRINKLE AND MAKE SOUNDS when you sit on them and cover yourself - you have HORRIBLE quality sheets. Sheets are NOT supposed to make a noise. Dont get me started on the bed comforter.....SO NOT CLEAN!! Also - you will HEAR your neighbors sneeze, cough and their TV - so dont plan on sleeping. I know this sounds nutty, but for the price you pay, cant they use more than 1-ply for TP?The food in the restaurants is so overpriced and VERY VERY average.SAVE MONEY and go to a different hotel that doesnt charge you for the property - and will give you a budget motel style room.
We went to this JW after a quick trip to Joshua tree. Great spot. Not too far away from food and a Safeway across the street if you need it. It was hot so the pool was nice! Poolside bar service was perfect. We did the innovation kitchen at the restaurant and the chef and host were fun. The room was pretty large. Double balcony. Overall, id definitely return. I highly recommend.
Where to begin… we pulled up to this hotel because we had a boat reservation at 6pm and dinner at the Japanese restaurant onsite…. There is no self parking, valet only. The valet crew is majority younger men who geeked over our vehicle and made comments about who was going to drive it. When they opened the door they were surprised that it was a manual and all looked disappointed and called the one older gentleman to park it. This made me feel uneasy like the younger crew would have taken advantage if they could. Moving on to the boat ride, it was late and didn’t show up until 10 min past. We get on the boat and the young woman driving immediately states that it’s her 4th boat tour ever conducting and makes a comment that if anything goes wrong we could put the life jackets on that we’re in the front of the boat. There were 2 life jackets and 7 people aboard this. I first thought it was a joke until she kept stressing the entire party out by saying she was uncomfortable with going under the bridges and “she’s got this”. She complained about how fast the other boat in front of her was going, how small the entrance and exit was that the boat had to go through in the hotel. It made my anxiety cringe. We got dropped off at the restaurant and she said she had never dropped anyone off and the other staff told her to do it like a “drive through”, well she hit the boat on the dock and my husband has to grab the dock so we could try to get off of this nightmare of a ride. The water also smells horrible, if you do the boat ride before dinner, it WILL ruin your appetite. I thought this hotel was going to have professional staff based on the reviews and photos, it was not a good experience. It left me feeling unsettled the entire time I was on their property. I’m just glad that I didn’t book a room here, I will not recommend to anyone.

Great location to venues and other attractions. Was really hoping more for this hotel. It’s outdated and would be really nice if we were in the year 2000. So sad. Plus the room was a total disappointment. It was clean and had all the standard things. The balcony door would not open no matter how hard I tried. See video. I left a message with the concierge and they said they would send an engineer but a little too late for all that; they never came. Oh well…won’t stay here again but definitely am a JW Marriot fan. Just not this location.
Positive: Best thing about the Hotel was the boat ride, sushi and the staff. Every staff I interacted with was professional and kind. In addition the resort fee includes free parking which was a huge plus along with free EV charging. Negative: Only complaint is in the suite the AC didnt get cold in the bedroom. In the living room it was 63 degrees but bedroom was warm and had to use a fan.
Husband & I went away on a Labor Day weekend staycation, as well as to celebrate a friend’s birthday.Every room has spectacular views of the property all the way to the foothills. I took a walk around inside/outside & appreciated the design of each trail, thoughtfully planted cacti & babbling brook this desert oasis has to offer.The aviary & garden left me wanting more, but I still enjoyed taking the time to explore these areas.Our room was beautifully appointed with industrial style light fixtures, wrapped in rattan & solid wood. Lots of great backlighting kept our stay cozy & warm.Room service was top notch & the food was delicious. Especially breakfast. I’ve had avocado toast at many restaurants & hotels.. JW Marriott has the best I’ve ever tasted.We will definitely be staying here again.
This hotel is the definition of resort. It is gorgeous and offers every ammenity...spa, tennis, and golf. The free golf clinics and availability of tennis clinics at a reasonable price were great. Unfortunately, for the rather steep price you will not get turn down service, daily room cleaning, or even fresh berries in their expensive buffet breakfast.
Gorgeous location with beautiful views. Loved the option for room service until Midnight. Rooms and lobby are clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Several on-sight restaurants to choose from and late night sushi in lobby bar!
I booked a two night stay for my anniversary at the JW Marriott desert springs spa and resort unfortunately this place did not meet my expectations. Check in went smooth the lady was very nice and friendly as expected. Walking into the room I immediately noticed I was not given the room I booked I specifically booked the room with balcony. I went to front dest to complain about the room they gave me, I was told they did not have any rooms with balcony available for two nights, then I was told one was available with a driveway view which I was unhappy with then apparently they had another room available with a beautiful view. They accommodated me in the nice room with balcony and view but unfortunately the room had a bad ac unit it did not cool the room at all. Also the pool chairs have to be rented ahead of time if you dont want to sit in the sun which I also didnt like. The arcade had machines that were down which was unfortunate since the first night we stayed it rained which left us with not much to do since the pool was closed for the rest of the night. If you do plan on staying here please do your research and read the reviews so you could find the right place!
Stayed here for our 26th anniversary. This place is amazing. From the moment we arrived we were treated very well. All the staff are kind and helpful. Our room was ready upon our arrival. The pool view room we had is well appointed and very comfortable. Our only regret is it didnt have a bath tub with the doors that open to the room. We were kind of looking forward to that. We stayed in the summer during an excessive heat warning with temps up to 118 degrees and though the room was comfortable it never really was cool.The common areas are beautifully kept and there is much to explore here, especially the aviary. We hoped to play a round of mini golf but the heat was too oppressive. The fitness center is really nice with machines and free weights and a room were you can do your yoga or pilates routine.The pool area is beautiful and there are three pools to enjoy. However, shade/protection from the summer sun was not plentiful and the pool bar does not stay open past 5pm when it finally started to cool off so BYOB.My only real complaints are they could use some misters around some of the common outdoor areas to cool things down a bit and the lack of handicapped parking spaces in the self parking garage which is the only parking with protection from the sun. There are only two handicapped spots near the elevator and that made it difficult for me some days.Overall still a great place to stay and I look forward to coming back soon.
We had a great trip at the JW Marriott Desert Springs. The grounds and rooms are great, lots of things to do for the kids and the whole family, the boat rides are fun and the pool has lots of entertainment, especially on the weekends. General Manager Nusrat went out of his way to show great kindness to our family. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon.
I was going to give 4 stars but they were heroes at the end. First the good stuff...They have a Hertz rent-a-car office onsite, so we were able to rent a car at the Palm Springs airport, drive around for 24 hours, and then return it at the hotel before a conference. (Rather than having to go back to the airport and take an Uber back to the hotel.) Very convenient!When we arrived, I asked for a quiet room. The room they gave us was part of a suite, so it had an interior door to the next room. I was nervous about possibly hearing our neighbors so they relocated us to a totally private room with a better view.It was mostly quiet, but people in our hallway were a little loud until maybe 11pm on Fri and Sat nights (despite the sign saying that the hallway was a Quiet Zone). Nevertheless, at least we didnt have the suite problem.When we left, I forgot to check the closet. In it were a pair of slacks, a button down shirt, and an irreplaceable jacket which had all of my keys in the pocket!I called from the airport and they found everything. They let me choose the shipping speed. I got it all back for a reasonable fee. Thats why Im giving a 5 star review.There was some room for improvement, however....One afternoon I was about to take a nap but heard music in the hallway, even though it had a sign saying Quiet zone. The music was coming from the phone of a cleaning lady. I asked her to turn it off and she did. But I was surprised that she didnt honor the Quiet Zone signs in the first place.Leading up to our final morning, I had forgotten to put a Do not disturb sign on the door. While we were still sleeping - maybe 7am? - a cleaning lady knocked on our door and then entered.But it was the day we were checking out. I wish she wouldve waited until the front desk alerted her that we had *actually* checked out - before knocking or entering.I made the mistake of renting a Chevy Bolt (EV). The hotels fee to charge it for 6 hours was reasonable (like $18 I think), but their fee was $40 to charge it overnight.We gave it to them around 9:30pm. I asked them to only charge it for 6 hours, but they said Id have to come get it in exactly 6 hours - at 3:30am. I didnt want to do that, but they were not willing or able to unplug the car for me after 6 hours. So I had to pay $40.Last, the three restaurants onsite are geared towards meat and fish. One said they could make a vegetarian meal, but not vegan. We were there for a plant-based nutrition conference, so this was a disappointment.
Positive: The hotel is beautiful, but walking through it is like walking through a maze. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I liked all of the pools. Negative: It was trickey walking through the hotel to get to my room. Like walking through a maze. The daily resort fee was high - $44.00 a night.
We spent 4 nights at the JW Marriott Desert Springs and had a fabulous visit. The site and rooms are awesome, tons to do for the kids and whole family, the boat ride was fun, lots of entertainment at the pool especially on the weekend. The GM Nusrat went out of his way to show our families so much kindness. We had a blast and hope to visit again soon.
We had a very unfortunate stay at this property - which is in fact huge convention property and not really suited to family vacation. The room was spacious, bathroom great - but unfortunately during our stay the bathroom ceiling come down due to a waterless above. This was not a problem for us - the problem was with the fact that it took three days for the property too clean up the debris from our bathroom floor. This is where the property really is worse than any limited service property - though the hotel is clearly well if not over-staffed, service levels are appalling. We did not have our room refreshed for a couple of days, and when they did it was to a very poor level. Reception was at best unfriendly at times deliberately unhelpful. Warning to all Bonvoy members - even though almost empty the property will not adhere to the usual perks. In summary, maybe ok for a large conventions, but def not a place for a relaxing vacation. My negative highlight was that although some days there were only a handful of guests at the pool they charge a 25 Dollar premium to have a pool chair in the first row around the pool
Had a great time at JW Marriott Desert Springs. Rooms were nice, staff were very attentive and resort pool was a lot of fun. We were there for a company event and was a great venue. Will definitely go back.
Our anniversary and its sentimental so we always return.The room was perfect, pool was perfect, service at the pool perfect. Only cons: Fishermans landing: poor service and the food wasnt good, well not go back. WiFi@!@ Couldnt connect even after calling for assistance! Ending the day with no wifi kinda sucked.
This place us freshly remodeled and the grounds were impeccable. The 18 hole mini golf course was fun and all the catered food for our convention was great. I will be back for golf next time.
Worst experience Ive had in any hotel. The incident happened on 07/26/23 at approximately 6pm at the oasis pool. we were on a sun lounger when an employee of your hotel approached me and my husband and silently began to close the umbrella over me. As it turned out, due to the wind, it could fall off. But the sun was still quite active and we asked not to touch the umbrella for a while, so I was very afraid of burning out. to which the employee decided to call the “manager”, who rudely demanded to leave and free the umbrella ((. we didn’t want to leave (because we had the right to be at the pool until 10 pm) Then this rude decided to call the security guard. It was so humiliating and petty how you treat your guests who bring you money, its only your problem that you cant buy umbrellas strong enough to handle your mythical wind.
Positive: The grounds were immaculate. The landscaping was neat and not overwhelming. Negative: The room was clean but small. During the whole duration, there was a travel crib outside of a room, at the end of my hallway. It changed positions but was never removed. Reservations for dining and activities were very limited.
Staff are great. Rooms are nice. Banquet food for the event I attended was very good, as was the Japanese steak house on premises. Great resort for events.
Came in August for a conference. Probably not the best time to come due to the heat but it was a great time. The rooms were wonderful and great options for shopping and food on site.They do have a charging station but you must valet. They do not charge in addition to charge.
DIRTIEST HOTEL stay. From the moment we walked in, the bathroom floors were dirty, semen stained sheets, cockroch found in closet, makeup stained towels given by housekeeping, pool was not cleaned from night before with lots of hair and band-aid floating around. This is a 4-star resort?!? Management were not sympathetic to all the problems we experienced and did not do much to resolve and/or compensate for the terrible stay we experienced. NEVER going back to this hotel.
Positive: The location and surrounding area is a definite selling point. THe hotel is nice inside and out, and the views throughout the day/night are def worth. Negative: We happened to come during a convention, so it felt like the service was a little stretched. I asked for our room to be made up on our 2nd day and was never done.
My experience was just awful, Saturday 8/5/23 My friend and I sat by the pool right after arriving for a quick picture, I sat my bag on a layout chair and turned my back not even for 3 min when my bag was stolen...later found out along with 4 other families, I was told that they have no cameras in that area in case there is nudity. ( also want to mention that they put wristbands on you to access the pool area but no one checks for wristbands, so what is the point?)The thieves went on a rampage charging items on my card through out the hotel, I was told by security that there are no cameras in gift shops as well?? So basically anyone can steal and get away with it?I will never stay at this hotel again and if you do be safe and do not take anything valuable with you to the pool or out of your room. This is supposed to be a high-end hotel and its very nicely kept its just too bad your security isnt a priority.I was not compensated one penny for any of my things with this hotel even though they gave me a claim number, and seemed not to concern about getting back to me when they gave me a day when I would be called about this matter but called until almost a week or so later.(I honestly have a feeling its a inside job but what else can I say?)I am a Marriott time shareholder and now I just want to get rid of my timeshare for being treated so badly with security during this investigation ( I was not offered a complimentary extra night for a better visit since I spent that whole night talking to the police.
Had a fabulous birthday vacation here and enjoyed how much space this resort has. There’s a lot of people who come here and the pool can get crowded, but because the resort is so big, to don’t feel congested and there’s plenty of places to just sit and grab a drink or some iced coffee from the Bucks. Definitely enjoyed the valet service, mini putting green and the Japanese tepenyaki restaurant! I’d stay here again if I ever came back out for a vacation.
Nope! And no!!!!We checked into the hotel on Friday. Two rooms had no a/c going and one had finger and hand prints all over the balcony doors - gross. So we shlepped the toddler, stroller, floaties, dog and bags from floor to floor. Fun! It’s only 118 degrees outside and only some hallways have any a/c because it’s off season we are told and so they take certain grids off network… finally 3rd room is decently cool. That took 2 hrs from the moment we arrived at the hotel. Bathroom doors that don’t close and why would i want a clean counter top? I’ll gladly wipe off the spaghetti sauce someone before enjoyed me. Why would I expect a clean room?Pool - chairs by the pool in the first row are $100 a chair ha!!! What?!??? No, not a cabana or anything like that. A simple chair but by the edge of pools.Wi-fi $14.99 per daySo what am paying for with the resort fee??? I’ll absolutely never will come back here. What a joke
I attended a 3-Day with Danny Morel. As a resident of Palm Springs I had driven by many times and now it was a joy to experience it.The staff always a smile and ready to help. Everything you may want in a resort is here.At the end of the day came down the elevator and smiled as I heard a performer beautiful voice floating through the gigantic open entrance to the hotel.
First time here at this property for me. Loved the hotel overall.I came here to attend a conference and my experience was great. They have a decent sushi restaurant in the main lobby area overlooking the lake they have surrounding the hotel.Their valet was decent - $11 up to 3 hours.Conference area is quite a hike which is pretty usual for all the hotels.Heard from my colleagues that the rooms are recently remodeled and looks nice.
Its okay. Fine dining. No microwave. Almost crapped My pants trying to get to 2 commode for 200 people. High chlorine in the pool. Free miniature golf. Ralphs across the street.
Rooms could use a refresh. Staff is fantastic. We would really appreciate the pool not being able to be accessed by the public. The pool gates were all disabled, or left open, and we overheard more than a dozen folks bragging about the easy access. The overcrowded pools were the reason we left early for home. So sad, because we loved this property
Stayed here multiple times for conferences and events. Always enjoyed the stay. Good restaurants on the property. Just be prepared to walk a lot. This resort is huge!
Rooms are spacious and the whole wall opens up to the balcony. Bathtub and shower were huge. The resort itself is beautiful and there’s no need to leave with multiple restaurants and bars on property.
Was in town for Stagecoach when my best friend and I stayed here. It was an incredible experience! The staff was so friendly and everything was absolutely beautiful. We had room service every morning and the food was phenomenal. We also hung out by the pool the last day we stayed there to recover, relax, and enjoy. Would absolutely stay again!
I stayed at this wonderful hotel on a work assignment. Unfortunately for me I couldn’t enjoy this beautiful hotel. When I checked in to conduct a one day audit, and all I could say was “WOW! The ground are amazing! The front desk was amazing. They were extremelyhelpful with showing me where my room was located, the hours of the restaurant and bar. My room was spectacular. I thought I could come back after my audit and enjoy the hotel. That did happen. 🥺. On my next visit I plan to reserve a longer time here to enjoy the golf and have the 🦢 swan boat bring me into the hotel. Thank you JW Marriott for your hospitality! Racking up Marriott points with this stay! Yahoo!
Spent a day at the spa with my wife for her birthday and we wish we could of never left! The resort was so well maintained and the staff was so friendly, helpful and welcoming! Recommend 10/10!
This hotel is beautiful. Service was great. Went for our anniversary and the upgraded our room and delivered champagne and chocolate strawberries. The pool and atmosphere of the hotel is outstanding. Can’t wait to come back.

Location 5 * and everything is so pretty and cosy and functional - absolutely epic we stayed at villas II had a villa for us only and was better than living at home - I literally fell in love 🥰 absolutely stunning location epic staff makes every dream wish or question come true and is super helpful - unique experience for sure !! We really enjoyed the JW Marriott Desert Springs. It has all the amenities you’d expect at a large resort. The newly remodeled rooms and expansive pool area made our stay fun. Exactly what you’d expect from a Marriott property.
I really wanted to like this hotel… it was at 100% capacity for the weekend so this meant lines and queues everywhere. 20 mins to check in - even as elite, 30-45 min wait each day for breakfast, no chairs by the pool (people line up at 8am to reserve them), 60 min wait for food by the pool, no dinner reservations available etc etc etc (and forget about Starbucks this line was huge all day). For a big hotel they dont seem to understand how to deal with the crowds. It’s a very noisy hotel, you definitely don’t want a room facing into the lobby as live music is extremely loud.It’s an old hotel thats had a touch up. Rooms are not modern but bed was comfortable.We had a Pool view which was nice and had a balcony with chairs. Housekeeping was average. Dirty glasses left every morning. Waited 2hrs for an ice bucket and a rollaway bed on the first night.Grounds are beautiful. Valet team great.Food average except at Mikado which was good.Tried to raise concerns and complaints with different staff and they didn’t care / remedy anything. First and last time staying here, better to rent a house!
Really nice hotel. Rooms are modern and spacious. The rest of the hotel is nice but not really well mantained. If you just want to relax, maybe you should try another one!
Came here to play golf. The course was beautifully well-maintained with some very challenging holes. Love the GPS golf carts. Great pricing for such a beautiful course
This is a review of the golf experience. The property is gorgeous and great pool area as well. Unfortunately our golf experience was not up to par.Decent course, VALLEY, very scenic. Played late in the day. Tee boxes could be a bit better condition. Pro shop ok. Absolutely gorgeous views and challenging and fun terrain. But the cart staff attendee was rude. We had beginners in our group. We booked last tee time so not to hold anyone up. The gentlemen was younger and slightly heavy compared to others. He insisted we could only play to 7pm with a 5pm tee time. Certainly we were not going to get 18 in but I had spoken with the pro shop several times and when checking in, during phone calls etc no time limit was mentioned at all by anyone. He said we don’t get paid overtime u have to be back by 7pm. Don’t be on your way back at 7 be back at 7 no later.Ok we played 9 and came in exactly at 7. 2 hours. Good pace even with beginners. Another attendant was there when we came in asked how it was and we said great but unfortunate that we could not play past 7 . He was flabbergasted. He said they are there at least until 730 or even 8 and said we never should have been told 7pm and apologized for everything. He offered to let us go back out but at that point we had already adjusted our schedule with our non golfer family . I’m a titanium elite bonvoy but did not mention it at all. That one guy deserves a stern reprimand at a minimum. Not the 5 star experience one should expect at a resort facility of this level.

Great lobby. Little boat rides go nearby the golf course. They have a Starbucks! Black swans and other birds hang out. Friendly and clean.
It is a nice hotel. I was therebfirba conference. As a JW, I was thinking the rooms would be a bit nicer but everything was good.
Beware of charges on your bill during check out. I was charged for restaurant dining which I didn’t use. Upon asking about this charge to front desk associate, she told me that she has to check with the restaurant. She came back after 10 minutes and told me that it was mistake. She corrected the bill and hand me the new bill and walk away without even apologizing for her/their mistake. I was not expecting this kind of service from Marriott.
The rooms at the JW Marriott were clean and spacious. Loved the balcony we had overlooking the miniature golf course. The pool, of course, was amazing. The weather when we were there was in the mid 80s so it wasnt too hot.
My first time here, love the hotel .Will give you this big club feeling. Great big poolThey have a really good buffet also a Sushi bar at the LobbyReally recommend for family’s . I started there on Easter weekend With my wife and kids we had a good time we will definitely come backAlso it’s only 2.5 half hours from LA . One charge on my Tesla :) which reminds me the one down fall there is No E.V charging. from some reason they took them off
Everything was excellent! Property and views are amazing. Property is older, but well maintained.Food is average and slightly overpriced. We did most of our dining off property.What stood out is the service and hospitality. Everyone from the valet to the housekeeping staff.I would like to especially recognize our housekeeper Anita. She surprised my wife with a special birthday arrangement!
Booked last-minute and they were super accommodating! The room was beautiful and clean, though did get a little warm and was hard to keep cool. Service was fantastic and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The spa experience was 10/10, highly recommend it because you get the amenities for the whole day, including an 18+ much quieter pool with food/bar service. Really great experience overall, just wish it was an 18+ resort as it was very filled with children.
The hotel itself is a little tired and worn out. The restaurants are barely mediocre at best, even though the chefs at the Japanese restaurant are very skilled and entertaining
The hotel is wondefful. The views were beautiful; however, someone enter my room and stoled my Tiffany necklace that was in the drawer underneath my clothes. They also stoled my friends tennis braclet in the room next door. The police was called. It was awful. I felt violated and robbed. I will never leave anything of value in a hotel room again. What an amazing place to stay! The view was fantastic, it smelled clean, and all the staff members I interacted with were very professional and courteous.
Everything is awesome and great, atmosphere is mesmerising, only things the bathrooms are still not maintained properly, you find issues much but once you look you will know, in my case i loved the overall experience so it was ok .
Love this place! My family stays here when they come in for the holidays, and my nieces and nephews love the game room here. Also, the Japanese restaurant is awesome!
Getting into and out of this place is truly a nightmare. They do not allow Ubers to approach the entrance of the hotel but shunt them into a parking lot that is downhill from the hotel. Upon arriving with a lot of luggage and already annoyed I walked up to the entrance to find there was no staff anywhere to be seen. I had to take a luggage cart and push everything uphill myself in 100 degree heat to where there was still nobody to help. After registering I proceeded to push the cart to the room but was blocked by a stern staff member who said I was prohibited to do it myself. After some time another staff member came to push. It was a young woman who acted as though it was her first day on her first job and excitedly jabbered away asking questions relentlessly. The luggage was heavy and despite everything I felt guilty as she struggled to lift and move it. Checking out was even worse. To avoid the hassle I took a cart to my room and brought it to the loading circle and called an Uber. Again the Uber was directed to the parking lot and for the first time in my life I yelled and cursed at the staff member and demanded that he tell the driver to come back to the entrance. He very reluctantly walked down to the lot and after a wait I noticed that the Uber had cancelled my ride. Of course he did. Who needs this? I was now in danger of missing the one flight a day to NYC and had an important job the next day. I had to call the company I was at the hotel with and they scrambled to find someone with a rental car to rush and give me a ride themselves. I barely made it to my flight. This is also the first time I’ve ever taken the trouble to post a review on Google and am still angry that I feel it necessary to compel this place to get their act together so that others don’t go through this experience and feel like second class citizens visiting an exorbitant venue before they even get in the door. I hope for your sake they notice better than the non-existent door staff.
This resort is top notch from the word go. Was there for a business conference and boy was it amazing. Will definitely be returning here for a true vacation.
Worst experience, we would not recommend. The highlight was dinner at Fisherman’s Landing! Room was just average and not worth over $700. You couldn’t use the amenities and the noise was so loud you couldn’t sleep. It was nearly 2am before it started to get quiet. My husband is a disabled veteran and was awake all night. The front desk said they’d try better next time. There will be no next time for us.
Super beautiful and unique grounds, great service from the staff on property, but docking stars for some cleanliness issues, including this big cockroach we found under the bed on our last day 🤮I reported it to the hotel and they said they’d follow up with some sort of survey, but they haven’t reached out and haven’t offered any sort of resolution.Edited to add: hotel responded to this review quickly saying they would reach out, and they still haven’t contacted me.
The hotel service of this place was not that good. When we got there, our room was not ready despite us requesting it a while ago. Out of one of the three cleaning days, we were out and the hotel cleaners were in our room. They stole our beer and drank from it, peed in the toilet and didn’t flush, and took the covers and mattress sheets off our beds and didn’t come back until a manager came to do good help.Anyway, besides that one day, the beds and bathroom were luxurious, and the view from our room was beautiful. The resort had a relaxing pool, restaurants with delicious food, and shops with good souvenirs.
Ive stayed at this hotel 3 times now and it never disappoints. Would like to personally shoutout Cathy Davis for being so helpful and responsive when I left some important things in the safe. They seriously have the best staff, best rooms, gorgeous environment, and it deserves the hype it gets. Recommend this hotel to literally anybody.
Nice grounds. Great bathroom (two types of showerheads). Miniature golf and boat ride available (but must book in advance). Only pet peeve is the toilet paper!
Marriott claims they are Veteran friendly when hiring, but I have applied there multiple positions, and I wasn’t offered a chance to interview because they chose a different candidate. Don’t advertise that you are a Veteran friendly employer on your website, but make no effort to hire or even interview. Sound like discrimination to me?
Stayed here on our Palm Springs vacation and it was great. The right amount of attention from the staff. There was always someone there if you needed something but they werent in your face the whole time. Perfect balance. Great food and drink selections and easy to navigate the grounds. They also offer plenty to do on the resort. I would stay here again.

Everything is cool, thanks to the hotel staff 🙂One minus...my girlfriend wanted to buy alcohol at the pool bar, she had no ID...She was refused to sell alcohol (this is ok) I came up with my ID - but the bartender refused to sell me alcohol (allegedly that I buy it for my girlfriend) My girlfriend had to lose 15 minutes to get her ID in the hotel room and only after that he sold us alcohol. (Maybe this is the hotel policy, I do not know) Overall, everything is fine, thank you))
Here for Stagecoach weekend with friends and our moms. We booked the Villas because we were told there were rooms large enough for our group. We were told at check in if the pool wasn’t crowded they would let us in. When we arrived at the pool we were told we couldn’t enter. We tried to speak to the front desk to make an exception since we are all high level Marriott Bonvoy members. The pool was also not crowded at all. The manager Sean Nixon was extremely rude and unprofessional. As members of Marriott Bonvoy and for a JW Marriott I expect higher level of customer service. This is completely unacceptable that this was not communicated to us at booking and then no one was able to assist us. I am disappointed and will not be returning or recommending JW Marriott anymore. Do better.
I would stay here again when I have a chance. It was a little crowded due to a wedding, convention and a prom but overall there were tons of things to do and plenty of food options to keep us from driving off to a restaurant. The aviary was so cute and so are the wild birds that hang out in the lake. Cant wait to go back!
Here for a conference. The hotel definitely has a corporate resort feel to it but the views and space are pretty incredible. Amazing golf location as well.
What an amazing property!Rooms are luxurious, the views are impeccable, and the property has so many things to offer it is a great get away oasis in the dessert.Pickleball courts, grass tennis courts, amazing fitness center, huge pool area, golf and mini golf, great conference venue, Starbucks in the lobby (full location, not a kiosk). Very unique. Stunning views. Details like the flamingos in the pond and Palm Trees really add to the luxury resort feel.The room was huge, bed very comfortable, tons of working space, huge bathroom with soaking tub. There was a weird leak from shower into the bathroom (had to use extra towels to soak up everyday).The service at the main bar in lobby was lacking. Had to ask for a glass every time, and with a Guinness can (specifically engineered to pour into a glass, mimicking a draft), this should be automatic (most bartenders on the planet actually pour it for you) …annoying to have to ask repeatedly for a glass. And then the expectation of automatically tipping 20-25% with poor service is off putting and not to brand at a JW.Other than the bar, the staff and service was exactly what you expect from a JW property = ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen. Friendly, precessional, efficient and attentive.
We were visiting for the day as we are staying at the Marriott Bills next door. Spent most of the day at the pool, which has 5* service for poolside drinks and food. We wanted to take a boat ride that they offer and booked it using their website. When we arrived at our designated time, we were greeted by Isaiah. Found out that I had screwed up and booked the boat for the next day. At this point, most people would have just blown us off and said tough luck. But Isaiah was determined to help. Its as if his only job was to make sure we were taken care of. The boats were completely booked and he asked if we could wait around a bit and hope for a cancellation. He was able to get a couple of us on the boat! It really saved the day! Our grandson got to go on the boat with his Dad. Such a treat, and all because Isaiah was focused on taking care of us. Thank you Marriott!

Great location and stunning views but we experienced some below par service.While sitting at a table in the centre of the main bar (where 6 of us had been for quite a while), we were abruptly told to move by the bar manager. Apparently the table had been booked previously but they had forgotten to mark it and they moved us in a pretty aggressive fashion. We were there for a week and at no other stage was the table “booked”.I did report my dissatisfaction to the hotel and all that happened was the same bar manager rang me back and told me the same story and strangely didn’t think his conduct was an issue. There were also other incidents so needless to say I will not be returning.I stay at Marriott hotels all around the world and this was the worst service I have ever received at a Marriott.
Beautiful property! Nice rooms! Pools were great! Lot of activities for the kids. Missing a pizzeria round the clock option. Starbucks hours should be longer. Staff was nice and courteous. Room service available.Not many options for. Vegetarians at the restaurants. Mattress were too soft for the back:(
Not a good experience. When I arrived after I said I dont need valet parking, I was told to park away, do not leave the car in the reception area. No help to direct me where should I park. Finally found a place to park. When I checked in I was assigned to the end of the hallway building, next to the road, same level of the road, kind of next to the noise room, no privacy room. I called the customer service and I was giving choices to other rooms. -- I think it is because I used the points certificate to book and was assigned to a not-good location room automatically.Pretty disappointed to this JW Marriott hotel.
Good hotel, friendly staff, but there is no soundproofing in the rooms. We were woken up by the staff talking in the corridors. They need to improve sound insulation. You kind of need to sleep and you cant really with all that noise in the hallways.
Wonderful resort...we went to the Ballroom...NEED MORE RESTROOMS for about 150 ladies that needed to use it. Only 7 stalls and only restroom in area!
Ive been going here for literally decades, always a good experience, until last weekend when a young, snooty, power tripping manager at the front desk decided she was more important that the hotel guests and flipped me some attitude. Very poor form.
The resort is beautiful, has several restaurants, Starbucks, shops, golf courses, pool and almost everything you need. The female manager was super nice and gave us a room with a nice view as I explained to her this was a very special trip for us and my husband was a gold Merriott card member. Most restaurants and Starbucks in the resort were open to my surprise on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which was wonderful. The only drawback were that I think they were short on staff for housekeeping and sometimes even picking up the phone on front desks so I had to try multiple times to get hold of people, that certainly was frustrating. Otherwise I will stay here again for sure.
I debated on whether to write a review or not because its something I dont normally do but here we are. Overall, this property lacks professionalism and attention to detail. Front desk agents, servers, and hosts - were all snippy, rude, strungout and had a pretentious attitude. We checked into a hot room where the front desk had already been aware of the issue. Bottom line, if engineering makes a note in their prearrival the AC is not working, that room needs to be taken out of inventory. We were moved to a room in the main building which was extremely loud until about 1 AM each night due to the open atrium with no warning of how noisey it would be. We had breakfast at Rockwood Grill where there was always a wait time (not a big deal) but once we were seated we had to wait another 15-20 minutes before our servers showed up and who openly admitted to not knowing a table had been seated in their section. I had asked about using a ball machine from the tennis club and while they clearly had one because I saw it and had to point it out to girl at the desk proceeded to tell me, oh, that thing. we dont offer ball machine rentals to guests, I dont think. I asked for her to check with the head tennis coach and to call me, after I provided all my contact information on their call back sheet; She never did. We had a room that overlooked a pool we were told we could not have access to because it was an event only space. Overall, really disappointed in our stay. I had high expectations for the quality of service with it being a JW Marriott and in Palm Springs and with it being a very well manicured property.
Room itself was comfortable in size, beds/pillows comfortable with nice bathroom. Was grateful not to have Atrium room above lobby bar, colleagues shared the noise was unbearable. Was there for a work event and the food was meh - really random selections/flavors/ingredients (or lack there of). Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Spa was okay but sauna was out of order, pool was freezing cold and the massage was not worth $220. Gorgeous location/views/grounds.
A very nice property. The pools are excellent, several activities offered by the hotel will keep you entertained in your downtime. Flamingos add to the ambiance!
Stayed here for the Indian Wells tennis tournament. Hotel is great for tennis/golf enthusiasts. One hour of tennis per day was free for guests, and even during their busiest week a court was available. Elite included breakfast was only continental, but very good and upgradeable to full hot breakfast for $10.
Beautiful resort, however if staffing is an issue, don’t book hotel at capacity.We had significant room service issues- staff didn’t clean room for entire first day, even after calling multiple times.Following day, they cleaned room and didn’t replenish toilet paper.Trash cans throughout pool were full through stay and staff would leave finished plates for hours at the pool.Thankfully, the elite desk provided an apology and afforded some refunds to us for the experience. I stay at marriotts weekly.Highly impressed with the grounds, golf course and the service we received at restaurants.The management needs to work on some of the significant service elements to make me feel confident returning here.

Marriott likes to position the jw brand as the premium corporate hotel stay as opposed to the old luxury positioning of St Regis and the contemporary luxury positioning of Ritz Carlton.I may be wrong but I view the 4 Seasons as a rough competitor to the JW.We heard some mixed reviews about the JW and so we guarded our expectations.When we first got our room they assigned is a room that was almost a 10 minute walk to the room requiring you to go briefly outside before getting access to the room.The room itself was standard enough but lighting was suboptimal. The room did feature a nice view of the golf course however there was a puddle on our deck that did not seem rain made. There was a dip in the deck where water was collecting leading me to believe this was an ongoing issue that was neglected.Luckily I was able to get a room reassignment in the central tower.The room was pretty much the same. Pretty standard. Nothing too crazy but in line with our expectations. I was expecting something a bit better than a standard Marriott but not quite the level of a 4 Seasons.The bathroom was good with a walk in shower (a must for luxury hotels). However, I didnt think it was designed well as the water easily spills outside the shower and can run into the main room of your not careful.The grounds themselves are very nice. I dont like golf but the golf course appears to be well maintained. The central lobby is open and spacious. There are 4 or 5 food options. The gym is nice. We saw some flamingos in one of the ponds. Theres a nice gondola boat ride you can book.The spa is competent. One issue is that since the hotel is so big, the spa feels almost like a factory. They stick to their fishing time strictly but if theyre late a few minutes they wont give it to you back.Finally the service is atrocious. And what I mean is that corporate decisions have led to this hotel woefully understaffed.I tried to call the front desk at all times several times and more often then not I couldnt even get a voice mail. I dont thinki was too demanding but for a property this big they really shouldnt be forcing their guests to come to the front desk for additional bottles of water.I generally did not have any problems with staff themselves. Housekeeping was very pleasant. The bar staff was pleasant but they appeared to running ragged.The only issue was or check out guy was little snooty.So final thoughts. It doesnt really deserve the JW name. Its a little over priced for what it is. Rooms are fine but a little dated. If the JW wants to attract corporate conventions they need to be able to have guests reach the front desk.JW palm springs finds itself in a little bit of an awkward position. Either they invest in significant room upgrades, increase staffing or possibly decrease the number of rooms to something more manageable. or finally they remove the JW name and position the property as a luxury lite hotelUnfortunately I wont be coming back. If Im looking for a luxury hotel Im happy to pay more for something truly luxurious and if Im looking for a value Im happy to go to try a courtyard by Marriott or some such.
The rooms and amenities are great the location and sights are beautiful. The lobby staff are garbage. My wife had to call 3 times to tell them that the bar guests were being too loud at 2 oclock at night. The staff then proceeded to say that they were paying guests and what are we not paying guests as well 😒. If you do decide to stay here dont stay in the main lobby.
Beautiful resort! The outside is great for walking or sitting with a beautiful view. The rooms on the other hand were disappointing in terms of cleanliness. The bathtub had hairs from a previous guest which immediately made me uncomfortable. The bed sheets were put on sloppily as well. Other than that it was a pleasant experience. Staff are very professional and polite.
My wife and I came here for a relaxing getaway and were very pleased! What I really appreciated was despite the fact that the resort hosted two large conferences during our stay (one of was the EY conference, which I was told was one of the largest in the area), they did a great job of keeping the loud party scene of the conference attendees separate from the rest of the hotel guests, who looking for a more laid back vibe. The rooms were spacious and clean, the grounds were immaculate, and the staff was incredibly kind. Highly recommend!

There are plenty of things to do in the pool side has an oasishop for snack sandwiches they have multiple restaurants that are at least a 4 star food this is a great place to spend a vacation They have golfing boating Convenience stores and end shops for the wive to buy very nice outfits upfits it is a one stop shop I give this place a 5 star

Good for family but showing its age. The putting course has terrible grass for any real golfer where an artificial surface would be much better suited. The aviary is sad. The boat ride is corny but fun for kids and the flamingos were a hit. Parking and Starbucks is great, and the public bathrooms and water filling station is also nice. The TV in the atrium was great for sports!
Disappointing compared to the price they demand. The rooms are nicely furnished, but there are signs that it has not worn well over the decades. My bathroom ceiling had water stains, chipped paint, shower door was crooked and therefore leaked water all over the floor, and my thermostat wouldn’t respond unless you mashed the buttons.Restaurants are expensive and the hours are random. I went to go to the jacuzzi one evening and was locked out. When I asked the front desk, they said the pool was closed because it had rained… 9 hours ago.
Great place to stay in Palm Springs. I am here with my wife in Christmas holidays~ so far very satisfied with the stay. Nice pool and foods lots of good amenities. I am excited to experience the sailing ⛵ and mini golf ⛳ in the JW resort.

Did you not come and clean and it was full of flies and bugsWe tried to talk to the hotel, but they said we should talk to you because I got books from you guys We had to wait for the towels for four hours and did not deliverIt was full of people like every year, did not treat us very good

I stayed here for a weekend with my best friends and we had a great time! I contacted Veronica in Guest Relations and she and her team were truly amazing! She exceeded our expectations and left us with the best note upon our arrival.The pool was great! It was hard to get service but walking over to the bar wasn’t too bad. The food and drinks were good.Every staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.The tequila drink at the restaurant in the main lobby was so good I’m thinking of making another trip there soon!Overall it was my 2nd visit to this hotel and I loved our stay once again!
It was okay. Signature view room is very small. Pool area was not monitored well. Guests would leave the pool chairs but not take their towels so you did not know if they were actually gone or in the pool. It was frustrating because we couldnt find a spot. The food options were mediocre at best. It is a beautiful location but they really have some work to do. Dont think I will visit again.
Nice experience at JW Marriott! I love all the beautiful black swans and flamingos that we saw at the resort. Also you can have a lot of activities to do here, play tennis, golf, swimming… shopping, playing arcade, taking a boat… of course you can drink, enjoy dining at here. Their rooms are clean and comfortable. The room service is great, they are fast and friendly.

It was Ok, definitely did not feel luxurious.Our check in was easy, room was somewhat clean. We got the room with possibly the worst view and our balcony was covered with dust and debris. We couldn’t even put our wet clothes out there much less sit, we could literally hop over on to another roof. I didn’t bother to ask for a change, my kids were tired and we just wanted to go to the pool. Pool service was nice, we found seats quick although it was very full. We did the boat ride, it was $5 a person for a 10 min ride, the person driving the boat didn’t really talk to us, he just confirmed they had black swans when my kid pointed it out. It’s not worth it.The bed was comfy, tubs were nice. I wouldn’t pay as much as I did to stay here again.
The service sucked. We tried to get new sheets for the pull out bed as it had none, and we had to wait almost an hour just for someone to anwser the phone! The views and grounds are the redeaming factor. They are so beautiful, with all the birds and swans. However, the aviary was depressing. Ruined my entire trip in the last ten minutes of my being there. Those poor birds, couldn’t even spread their wings! Pls help the birds! Just get them bigger cages!
The hotel is beautiful. The main entrance has a incredible view as soon a you come in. I like that they have good amount of activities to try while you are at the hotel and they are all included while you stay here. Plenty of pools to chose from. Good selection of restaurants to dine in. My only issue it was with the room that we got. I feel like it was a bit smaller of what they advertised. Overall We had a good time and We will definitely come again.
This is a great Marriott property. The exterior feels a bit dated, but it’s still well maintained and clean. Once you’re inside the rooms, they are quite lovely and look very fresh. There no shortage of pools and there so many great water features on the property. I really enjoyed seeing the flamingos. Hopefully I could stay again!
Family of 4 here. We have a 13 year old boy and 9 year of girl and we’ve stayed 2 time here. Both times have been awesome. The kids love and so do we. They have lots of things to do but the pool is the center of attention during the day. Be early and get a chair! The restaurants are good and there is a variety to choose from. We will be back again for sure. Mini golf and bike rentals are available complimentary so that’s awesome.
First off we look forward to our yearly visit to the JW in palm desert. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suite which was nice. Problem was when we got to the suite we could not open the door without a big push and to get out a big pull. The other problem was the AC it was not working. We called downstairs for someone to fix or a room change. John from Engineering was immediately up to see what he could do. Marriott is darn lucky to have such a wonderful employee. John went over and above to please us. More so than the front desk IMHO. He got the AC working like a charm and said the door would need to be shaved down to open and close correctly. He was instrumental in getting us a room change and even went over to the new room to make sure everything was working. John went over and beyond his job duties to accommodate us as guests and we would like to recognize him for his efforts. He is one of many behind the scenes employees who add to the comfort of Marriott’s guests. Other recognition goes to the staff at the Rockwood Grill for breakfast. They are all happy to help and friendly. Another enjoyable stay here in the desert

Beautiful resort! Only problem is that it is in the middle of nowhere. As long as you are okay with a long drive to the better restaurants in the desert then it is a great place to stay.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!I don’t know where to begin. THE WORST customer service I have ever had at an expensive hotel.The grounds and scenery are very nice but you can get that elsewhere in palm desert-Had to bring in our own bags from the car as no one was available or offered to help-Were an hour early and told our room was ready so parked the car and then had to wait two hours to get into our room-Reserved and paid for room with a sofa bed for our daughter. Room had one king size bed. Called front desk and were told they are “totally committed” so daughter had to sleep on a cot-Were told we had to put our umbrella down at the pool at 330 because of “wind advisory” and there was absolutely no wind and were at least a dozen other umbrellas up at that time-Paid for a boat ride around the “lakes” and went only in circles 30 yards from the lobby because there was a “goose in the way” (the boat in front of us went around the whole property)-Rude employees everywhere. Worst 800+ dollar a night hotel experience I’ve ever hadOnly google hotel review I’ve ever left but I don’t want anyone else’s vacation to be ruined like my famIly’s was
Perfect destination for some Palm Springs R & R. We had dinner at Rockwood Grill and Mikado Japanese Grill and both meals were delicious. I would definitely stay here again and bring my son to enjoy the arcade and mini golf.
An amazing resort true its name. You never really have to leave the party once you drive up the beautiful entrance. Stunning views all around, extremely polite staff ready to help at a moments notice and the restaurant are amazing. But be sure to book your steakhouse reservation in advance.

JW Marriott is a wonderful resort. Shuttles to take you to Coachella are a huge bonus. The market has things you need. The pools have towels available.
Save your money. The was the worst JW I have ever stayed at. We have higher expectations at a $900 a night hotel. We consistently could not get our roomCleaned, wash cloths, toilet paper or trash emptied. The staff was inattentive and non caring. Trash is everywhere whether it room-service food or every trash can full at the faculty. Water refill stations don’t work and staff is rude. I had a very unpleasant call with guest services ( Stephanie) to get a few towels a water. Much better hotels for the price.

Im currently still in the hotel and will check out tomorrow. I came here with my family to celebrate my birthday on 7/14. I have to comment on todays parking experience and the housekeeping experience for the past 2 days I stayed here. The resort is very nice equipped and designed however the housekeeping is disappointing and the parking is just ridiculous. I used the APP to request housekeeping to clean my room but no one cleaned my room until I made the third attempt by requesting the service via APP. They told me they had problem entering my room that day in the morning. Well, no one followed up with me or explained with me. How would I know they did try to clean my room but they could not enter? That day was my birthday! I just want to have a tidy room to enjoy my birthday! Lack of communications! I also requested 2 new bathrobes, never delivered. Just now I used the APP to mention that and they said I had to request for it, hey I did, I did 2 days ago! Just now when we came back to the resort and tried to do the handicap parking, I was told the nearby spots are full and I can try to get a spot at the further right ramp. Ok, I did try there, they are full as well. So I had to pay $40 for valet parking since I have a 72 years old senior in the car. I explained the whole experience via APP, the customer service representative made me feel she/he is heartless and just told me they are full capacity cause they have an event. Well, I believe full capacity should have nothing to do with prompt communications or attentive service for hospitality industry. Plus, if a full capacity day made customers who needs the handicap parking not available then obviously the handicap parking spots are not enough. I definitely dont want to have my senior father walking a long distance in this extreme heat so I did the valet parking. But I do expect when I communicated with your APP representative, they should show me basic understanding but not being cold and robotic.Overall, nice resort, disappointing customer service!
Great service nice location arcade was really nice. Went with a family to the arcade, while we were there we looked at a guys floatie which was right next to their bags. Husband followed us to the other room and asked me if we went through their bags, I said no, and he was like no oh yeah of course sarcastically, if your reading this review pull up babe don’t worry I’ll end your shi you npc

Pros: Rooms were great- loved our balcony and bathroom with stand alone tub and shower. Food at the buffet was delicious and fresh. Service was amazing. Cons: the food and menu at the pool was abysmal! Nachos were like stadium nachos. And the pool scene was like being in a slimy bar. Gross!
So amazing! I havent visited this place since 2011 and it was just as beautiful as the first time. From the entrance to the awe-inspiring views. Simply wonderful. A special acknowledgment to Edgar at the gondola rides. Yes, they have gondola rides! Thank you so much for helping to make our return to this place so memorable.
Second time here. Breakfast is now a buffet, but not very good. Meals were nice, but expensive. $52 for a New York and a potato is excessive. Entertainment was good. Wife really enjoyed all the opera songs at the end.The big disappointment this trip, though, was the pool. Water was cloudy and full of some sort of tiny black bugs. Literally thousands of them! It was like that for two days.The gals working the kitchen floor were excellent and friendly, unlike one gal working the front desk. Maybe she was having an off day.All-in-all, we liked our stay and will probably be back. Giving them 4 stars despite mentioned flaws. It really is a nice place.
Its a resort... and delivered on all aspects. Food, drinks, golf, atmosphere, service, pools. Really fantastic.
Quieter than we expected for a place with so many rooms. Great little nooks to sit in throughout the property. Pools were beautiful and serene to view, even on days we didnt go in. So many wild birds added an extra element to the already strikingly beautiful desert landscaping and rolling greens so we didnt feel apart from nature. The food was excellent and generous at each of the 4 restaurants we tried, plus the spa. Top notch hospitality and friendliness from everyone. The spa is not to be missed, even if you just get a day pass without a treatment.
We went to the Arcade here and while expensive it was a blast. The kids loved it and they enjoyed all of the games and collecting tickets.
Beautiful hotel with a golf course available on site. If you come to Palm Springs this is probably the place to stay. Service is great, employees make a genuine effort to engage in a conversation and some have stayed for over 20 years. There are 3 restaurants avaialable for your convenience. The only downside is that theyre located about 20 minutes away from downtown, so it could be a burden if you want to venture out.
I’m a Bonvoy member so I always choose a Marriott property if availability. When I see a JW property I am book it without a second thought.This resort is MASSIVE and feels it. Service was good but not great. Had issues with our room and the team really did not take care of us. Very disappointing to book at a JW and receive mediocre service at best. Really cannot recommend this resort.
The JW Desert Springs is so beautiful! You can never go wrong with a JW but this one stands out. From the moment you pull into the driveway the Mountain View’s are truly breathtaking and the lagoons and grounds with all the flowers and wild life are a beautiful sight. They have little boats to take you around the property and several dining options and bars. Updated larger rooms (hotel is old and you can tell by the structure and the narrow hallways, etc, but they’ve done a great job remodeling) and generous sized balconies. Room service was super fast and delicious for breakfast. The Rockwood grill was great for dinner and the lobby has live entertainment in the evenings. Spa is beautiful. Pools aren’t as nice as other resorts but there’s so much to do it doesn’t matter! Hit up the golf course and tennis courts!
This is a fine property - clean and friendly. Its spread out, so if you get put in the outer towers, be prepared or a lot of walking (good for getting your steps in!)...but its not well marked and you can easily get lost. The rooms are small and dated, but clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, if you are looking for an over-the-top luxury hotel experience, you will likely be disappointed. Its just that for the price (and Im willing to pay)...I expect a bit more - in the rooms, in the resort, and in the environment. Again, very adequate - but just worth the luxury tax.
Amazing stay, probably my favourite resort that Ive visited. My room was beautiful, and cleaned every morning. The staff were all extremely kind at the pool, at the restaurants and housekeeping. I felt safe during my time there, and never felt that the resort was busy. It was very relaxing, and cant wait to go back!
We love this place and the zoo nearby is our favorite. Food is amazing at all (5) (I think) places on the grounds. We take the boat their and walk back. I heard this place use to be filled w real birds of paradise. (Macaws). We love the spa and the golf course is beautiful.
The JW is a solid and always enjoyable. It’s a big property - worth perusing their website. There is a little bit of something for everyone.The lobby bar is usually buzzing and then seem to have added a portable satellite bar to handle the drinks volume.JW has done a nice job keeping the property fresh and the rooms updatedOne thing to know - valet parking is $40/nightATM & Starbucks in the lobbyExcellent pool complex2 golf courses but they are grossly over-priced given their poor condition. You’ll find much better for much less.One odd thing - everywhere in the hotel I get good WiFi except in Rockwood Grill where I have full bars but the WiFi won’t connect (and very poor cell signal there too). That’s said, if I walk out of the restaurant and up the stairs the WiFi is back and solid as a rock. Anyway, the food is good so I put up with the lack of connectivity.When I visit the desert this is my go-to place.
Excellent for a family vacation. This is a beautiful property with well manicured grounds and gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains - we enjoyed it all from our room with a balcony. The service is excellent- friendly and efficient. The food at the Rockwood Grill is quite good, and the staff is first rate. The location is perfect - accessible to the dining and retail in both Palm Desert and Palm Springs. And even more important for our family - to the gorgeous hikes in the surrounding areas. The hotel vibe overall was relaxed but not sloppy - lovely for a family vacation. My chief complaint - the hotel seemed somewhat oblivious to the raging pandemic. The heat lamps for the outdoor patios were not functioning. And while the restaurant options were lovely for in-restaurant dining, there was no take out permitted. And the room services and take out options were very limited. Pre-pandemic that would have been fine but in the winter of 2021 it was disappointing and unacceptable for a luxury hotel.
Not a place to visit off-season. The Fishermans Landing restaurant had only two wait staff. Rockwood Grill was a better choice. The shops were nice for gifts or fashion. The rooms were very nice with plenty of space. In the room safe was a top load which limits space for items because of the large locking mechanism. The lobby bar was well stocked but the food choices were limited. The hotel was a distance from downtown Palm Springs which limits off-site dining. Perhaps during the peak season the experience would be different.

I have stayed at this property a few times and love the location and the grounds. However at check in asked for pool view with my Titanium status hoping to get it. I did not until I complained. So sad you have to complain to get an upgrade....thought that was a perk of becoming higher status. Pool, chairs ok but the side tables were never cleaned at night and still had sticky drinks dried and on them every day. The pool staff service was excellent and was nice to have live music back! The singers in Lobby bar amazing.
Nice view with Signature View Room. As a JW Marriott, the price is not high but the service is just good or acceptable not surprising me. The whole environment is beautiful. They have amazing golf courses. In general, considering this low price, I recommend to stay here for a short vacation.
One never needs to leave this resort. With golf, tennis, mini golf, bocce, pools, spa, aviary, flamingos, boats around the lake and restaurants, why leave?We were emailed prior to arriving and offered extensive advice to prepare for our trip. As I had mentioned my daughter’s birthday, the concierge arranged a surprise gift in our room!Even our support dog was pampered. When we sat by the pool, a staff member immediately came over to bring a bowl of water. The weekend was quite wonderful and we HAVE told many people about it. We have stayed in several of the Marriott resorts around Palm Desert and, while all were nice, this was, by far, the nicest.
Housekeeping people don’t come when asked, even for something small like extra towels/blankets, check-in takes forever and rooms aren’t ready on time, nobody picks up phone from room phone or cell, and overall below-average service. In addition to this, when the housekeepers come to bring the items we asked for, only one of the two/three are brought. Not what I thought this would be for a JW Marriott.Golf course is nice, but definitely not worth the price for the condition that it’s in… fairways are patchy with dead grass.After 2 nights of this, management upgraded us to a bigger suite. However, for the rate paid, this shouldn’t happen in the first place.

This resort is such a beautiful place! Even in 100 degree heat. The hotel staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful. It’s nice to just take it in and appreciate the scenery.During our stay, we utilized the tennis facility and rented a ball machine. My husband was able to get a good work out in. He’s somewhat of a tennis expert and his only gripe was that the balls were flat/old. We played on the hard courts, but the grass courts we lovely. Would love to watch a good match on that court! It’s awesome that you guys offer hard, clay, and grass courts. The head of the tennis facility noticed my husband playing and came over to chat with us. Awesome guy! He helped us fine tune the ball machine which we appreciate. For the most part, we enjoyed the food and drinks at Rockwood and the adjoining bar. The breakfast buffet was pretty good! We did order in late Saturday night and one of our items (chicken strips) were NOT good. They weren’t edible. They were all hard and extremely dry. Some didn’t even have chicken in them. It’s like they had been cooked, sat out, and then refried which dried them all out. We were too tired to call and request a refund. But that’s just a minor complaint. We loved our room. It was clean, updated, and had a beautiful view. I would only suggest that they add a full length mirror in there! The hotel provided us with complimentary champagne and strawberries for our anniversary which we greatly appreciated. We ran into the most beautifully spirited woman a few times in the hallway. She is a housekeeper and her name is Anita, I believe. She was just so sweet. I’m thankful for our interactions with her. All in all, we loved our stay. We were in desperate need of a getaway and I was hoping this JW would deliver, and it did! Can’t wait to return!
We went there for the heat and sun, the pool, great food, and fun celebrating our anniversary. We experienced all of it! The staff was always courteous, friendly, and professional. The restaurant food was amazing. The servers went above and beyond. The pool atmosphere was so fun with loud music, great drinks, and they allowed you to bring your own floaties which some other Marriott resorts do not.It was a great time, and I hope to go back every year to get away, decompress, and have an amazing time.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert. The service was fantastic throughout our entire stay, from check-in with Joseph/Justin 😉 and check-out with Daniel; Carlos serving up great drinks at the poolside; Tracy and Lucy providing a very relaxing service at the Spa; Guillermo and Lula keeping my coffee topped off at the Rockwood Grill; Primo helping me find an envelope, and Nathan just being all-around awesome at the Blue Star Lounge. The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the nightly noise coming from the bar area. We had a room that was on the 8th floor, off of the lobby area, and the noise from the bar carried throughout our room. It wasnt bad during the day, but on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, the crowd was a little loud and made it difficult to fall asleep. We made it work, but I think when we go back (and we will be back), we will stay in a room that is further away from the lobby area. Overall, it is a great resort, and we loved our time there.
Beautiful resort with great restaurants, pools and golf. Close to most things you would want to do in palm springs/palm desert. If you are a golfer there is tons of golf in the area!
This is a resort destination. It’s designed to keep you happy staying on the property. It’s like a cruise ship, but without the water. If you’re looking for a place to get away, and do little or no sight seeing, this is the place for you. It’s a beautiful resort. Things like food are expensive here, but everything we ate was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Book spa services long before you get here. They fill up fast. The same goes for the deck chairs by the pools. There aren’t enough for everyone, so get down to the pools early if you want a place to sit. It’s a gorgeous resort about s half hour from downtown Palm Springs. Everything is expensive here, so be prepared to spend a lot if you stay on the property full time. It’s a beautiful resort though. Oh, and they have golf for those who are interested in that sort of thing.
I enjoyed every second in the resort. Spacious natural landscape with wildlife birds & ducks giving life to the hotel. They could be noisy early morning though but entertaining to me 😉All restaurants service and food are amazing. They have womens lounge in the spa and mens lounge and mixed gender as well. It gives you the choice. I loved it and will return.
We stayed at the Palm Springs desert resort to get away for a few days for my daughters birthday. This is an excellent hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. When we checked in we were notified that we would be upgraded to a suite even though my titanium upgrade request was initially denied. There is free and ample hotel parking right outside Starbucks. It’s a huge resort so it’s a bit of a walk but it’s no longer than if you valeted your vehicle. The pools were great and were not too crowded especially if you went in the evening. The food was great. As a titanium member they provide breakfast for two so I had to pay for my kids which was really fine given the quality of the breakfast. We also got food by the pool which was surprisingly good. The only complaints would be plastic cups left all over the place. I suppose this is difficult to keep up given the size of the e resort and the number of people staying there. The mini golf was fun (and free) but one of the “water hazards” was not cleaned and looked swampy and had trash in it. Overall this is a great place to getaway. Oh, the location is also good if you want to eat offsite. There are many restaurants of all types near the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back.
I am a Platinum Member of Marriott Bonvoy. I redeem points to stay here for two nights. When I check in, I was asked possibility for upgrade, the front desk said you have a quite room now….. and I asked about the breakfast rate, he said : you have two complimentary breakfast for adult. The rate of kids are vary by restaurant. He is unhappy because I was asking the benefits that I should have base by my membership?Then We found out our TV is not able to turn on. The maintenance guys said he will need 45 mins to fix it. He is nice and friendly. But, it’s 9:00pm of Christmas Eve and we don’t want a guy in our room to fix TV. We requested to change the room…………..and no one call us back to confirm the room is ready or not?Yes, I used the points to redeem two nights for stay here. I pay nothing for room rate. But ever point I redeem is from each dollar I spend at Marriott Hotel. I will said: Don’t come to this hotel. And this hotel ruined our Christmas Eve
We had a chance to getaway for a concert weekend and really wants to treat ourselves. We were recommended to you by a friend. The room was clean and plentiful the view was excellent and even though we don’t golf we were impressed by the entire grounds. The gandala sunset ride was very nice. We spent a day out by the pool and ordered food and drinks through out the day, there was always staff nearby which was a pleasant treat not having to go looking for anyone. We had dinner at Mikado and the chef Jun was hilarious and really made our night there. Thank you to all the staff for making it a truly memorable weekend
Before staying I checked that they have lap pool, for me as college swimmer that was critical. I emailed them 3 times in spa and no one responded.Today I checked and lap pool cost $50!!! What a crazy, I don’t need resort without lap pool 🏊🏼♀️.Very upsetting
The grounds are beautiful. But there are problems.1. It is a No Smoking resort, but the man in the room below continually smoked marijuana on his balcony, with the odor very noticeable in our bedroom and balcony. Complaints to the front desk led to no change in his behavior during the days we were there, and we did not receive a promised response from security. Poor responsiveness by staff.2. The room was of average quality, despite the very premium price. It was equivalent to standard hotel chains with rooms at about half the price.3. The hotel is not staffed or equipped to handle the number of guests they book. Very long lines, crowded facilities, and lots of noise were our experience.4. The check-in experience was poor. No parking in the front to check in, unless you pay for parking valet. Then they have their hands out for tips for valet, check-in assistance, and bellman all within the first 20 feet of the front door. After that the line to check-in was about 30-40 parties long. Took forever.In short, this place is not worth it. There are many other resorts and hotels in the area for less cost and a better experience.
Took a 5 day trip with hubby, staff was lovely the cocktails and help by the pool were pleasant and great! Golf course was in great condition, just prepare for time, play was slower than what I am accustomed to. Was not happy with my room not being made up, but after speaking to front desk the issue was resolved.

The hospitality staff are exceptional. Every request we made was met with friendly, immediate service and a little extra. For example, when My husband asked for an extra pillow and they brought two. Upon learning it was our anniversary, the hospitality manager treated us like royalty. We are already looking forward to our return trip in March!
We had a wonderful stay at the resort! Great place for families. Our room was clean, and we enjoyed having multiple pools and restaurants to choose from. The staff was great! The front desk remembered us by name, and every staff member was genuinely friendly and nice. Very polite too! As amenities are opening up, and staff are learning to manage their roles a little patience is required in terms of availability and wait times. We enjoyed our 5 days at the resort and would definitely stay again!
Amazing hotel! Very nice of them to give my husband and I an update for our anniversary.Hotel is close to tourist attractions in PS area. Given the extreme heat, we found there are tons of activities to do on the hotel grounds such as looking at flamingos and aviary, swimming in the pools, going to the spa, playing in arcade or taking a boat ride.I also loved the fact that one of my favorite shows filmed an episode here (though it looks very different now).
My 9 year old daughter tremendously appreciated being treated like royalty from the moment the car door was opened for her. Every aspect of our stay and experience was top notch, professional, and exceptional service. Extremely polite, helpful, and knowledgeable staff, our waitress also was incredibly wonderful. We cannot wait to return!

When we think of Palm Springs or Palm Desert, we always think of the JW Marriott Resort & Spa. It is absolutely spectacular. The staff are friendly and helpful. The main bar is very open and inviting, and the sushi is excellent. The scenery at the resort is magnificent - the pink flamingos, the ducks, water everywhere, the pools, the golf course, the mountain views. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can even take a duffy boat on site to their delicious restaurants. What is there not to love?!!! You wont want to leave!
My wife and I had a weekend getaway and chose JW Marriott as our destination. The hotel and staff were incredible. We relaxed by the pool with some great cocktails during the day and had incredible dinners in the evening. The blue star lounge had a great menu and we listened to live music as we ate dinner. The Mikado on our second night was some of the best sushi we have ever had. We will definitely be coming back. And last but not least, the golf course was incredible and very well maintained!
Wonderful place to stay!We had such a nice time over a long weekend at the Marriott Desert Springs! All the staff I worked with were super friendly, helpful and professional. Shout out to Drew and Alan and Gary who were working the pool area and took care of our food/drink and umbrella needs in the scorching heat :) And to Joshua (I think?) who got us on standby for a boat ride even though we didnt have a reservation.The resort is beautiful with ponds and birds all over the place; the buildings, grounds and pools were kept up extremely well. Nice amenities -- we used the pool, tennis courts and arcade rooms often during our stay. This was just after Covid restrictions let up, so it was a little more crowded for this time of year, but not overly so. The tennis courts were empty and were very nice. Fortunately there was a water+ice machine on the side of the pro-shop building there.The rooms were very nice, quiet (except you could hear hallway noise a bit, e.g. from people talking) and cool -- the air conditioning worked well.Food options were good inside the resort -- the Rockwood Grill has a good menu and good buffet, and you get an amazing view if you sit outside after sunset (might be too hot during the day). The on-site Starbucks is nice and convenient and the line moved pretty quickly.Just a few minor complaints... the bathroom doors squeaked in both rooms (ours and our friends). We couldnt pre-order from the Starbucks app for pickup at the in-resort store; would be nice if they could fix that. Because it was the off-season, a lot of the outdoor stores closed early and so we couldnt get in to visit very many of those. (To be fair, we had the same issue at shops at El Paseo too.) The pool was pretty clean considering it was fairly crowded, especially on Saturday. But one time, I saw some fruit and a straw from someones drink floating in the pool... They should consider not letting people bring their drinks inside the pool. Finally, we wished the tennis courts were open later, say till 10pm or midnight, so we could play in the evening after it cooled down. Other than those minor issues, this is a great resort with great service -- highly recommended!

This was my first time to Palm Desert and could not have had a better experience. The JW Marriott resort is beautiful and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gym was well-equipped and enjoyed using the gym every morning. All the food served was amazing. Compliments to the chef. Although, I was attending a conference, it was still very relaxing and enjoyable. I plan to return with my husband and enjoy the full extent of the resort.
We attended a 3 day concert and prior to arrival I was frustrated with the events communication and was unsure about what to expect. But the minute we pulled up to the Marriott I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was so welcoming, attentive, friendly, helpful.. they truly made our whole weekend!! From valet, to bell service, to check in…to pool, spa, and restaurant service I was impressed with their efficiency and positive attitude while juggling the large crowd of concert guests. The hotels remodel is beautiful and very clean. I have been coming here off and on for over 30 years and I will definitely make a point of coming more often after this stay! Thank you to the whole hotel staff for making this weekend amazing!
I came here with a few colleagues for a department company trip. The staff already began a great experience as soon as we stepped out of the car. Valet was friendly, and gave directions to the front desk. The front desk women were helpful in getting us an early check in, and were very communicative of when rooms were going to be available. In the meantime, we stopped at Rockwood Grill for brunch, and were again satisfied by the friendly service. The food was awesome as well. We then headed over to the poolside and was happy to have fast service and friendly faces throughout the day that simply enhanced our experience! I will definitely be coming again!!

We got unlucky on our first room where we found mascara on the bedsheets and gum on the bathroom floor. Unfortunately, we couldnt get moved for the night as they said the hotel was fully booked and housekeeping was basically gone for the night.Amenities- 5 starsThe property is magnificent. The main building was grand and even had a boat in the lobby that serves as a taxi throughout the waterways of the property. The gym was quite large for a resort. There was an 18 hole putting course and also a well landscaped golf course on the property. In addition, there were 3 pools and a large arcade with a mini bowling alley. You really cannot be bored here. Excellent stay for families, groups, couples, anyoneBottom LineThe views and amenities are spectacular and warrant the 4-stars given to the JW Marriott. However, the rooms failed to meet expectations
The hotel is great but has gone down since the first time we came here on 2017. This is our fifth time since then (except Covid). Less service or broken spas, crowded spaces or 45 minutes waiting list for breakfast at 9am make the experience less comfortable. People working are great but I think overwhelmed sometimesRegardless the place is beautiful
Was very disappointed with the fact that I had reserved and paid my room already but when i when I got there for check in they told me my room was yet not ready. They offer another room without a view when i had booked a room with a view.I was left waiting for one hour and forty minutes until my room was ready, I had a fussy 1 year old and we had done a 2 hour drive ! Once we did get situated which already was around 6 pm. The whole check in really took a toll on my expectations. They do have alot of amenities we enjoyed breakfast next morning and the ponds was a nice distraction for my toddler.
I spent 3 days 2 nights at this resort and I felt like I was in a new world.This is a beautiful resort. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pools were great but they don’t heat them during the day just at night. They only had one restaurant open in the evenings for dinner and the menu is limited.. however they had live music and he was amazing, they also had great fire pits and lots of heaters. They have a Starbucks on the property but it has very limited hours. They are stricken about having your wrist band on to get into the pool and they don’t let you have any food or drinks but the pool food is gross, overpriced and takes forever. They have a great miniature golf area that is open, flamingos you can see, they golf course and tennis courts looked fabulous and well kept, they also have little boats you can take a cruise in but they aren’t open and you can not sit anywhere in the lobby.All in all we highly enjoyed this weekend. We spent our time laying by the pool relaxing and enjoying a fabulous dinner with amazing music.. short and sweet. I do wish their price per night or points price reflected their limited service.
Pros - 1. This place is a great golf destination,2. The staff was nice and cordial3. There were 3 pools in the hotel4. The rooms were clean and the views were great5. The entertainment zone was a hit with kids6. Starbucks inside the hotel is awesomeCons1. The main pool area was closed and other pools were overcrowded2. Menu needs some more vegetarian options.3. Lots of bugs in the evening due to heat (they need to do something about the bugs)
Thank you to Marriott! I was here for a golf tournament and had an exceptional stay. Rooms are well designed and clean. Staff very friendly, helpful and courteous. Golf course was in great shape. Food at the sushi bar was good and very fresh and servers were top notch! Couldn’t be happier with our experience! Thank you!!!
I came to this resort for a quick getaway. Im glad a made the right decision coming here. It’s a beautiful resort with many options. I love the spaciousness of the resort and all the amenities. The pools were very clean with beautiful scenery of the lake, golf course and Mountain View’s. The my suit was updated, clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the view fro. My room of the pools, lakes, golf course and stunning Mountain View’s! All staff members were so friendly, always greeted me with a smile and truly made me feel welcomed. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful and amazing resort!
I believe the property was recently updated but the room didnt show it. AC was not working well at all. Thank you housekeeping for finding a fan for us. Otherwise just about unbearable heat in the room. We notified the staff but they couldnt fix it. Location and views are great. Be aware that its a resort, but it felt too crowded. The pool was stagnant and by the end of the day kind of gross. They really need to do better as a JW Marriott resort.
We had a long drive from LAX and were there over Thanksgiving. The property was packed. We waited a very long time to check-in even at the elite desk. I was told wed be put in the best room possible and we had a room overlooking the convention space -- no real view. The noise from the adjoining room was loud. Theyd come in late slamming doors, swearing and talking on the phone (after midnight). Food and beverage are expensive, as expected, but the drinks in the lobby never tasted the same from drink to drink. The pool bartenders were much more consistent. Food at the pool was also good. The golf is amazing and the reason we went -- no complaints there. Once the holiday traffic cleared out Sunday we had a very nice time. Overall, the property is very nice, and I understand properties being understaffed. It was just much too crowded for my liking. I would recommend the hotel but suggest you not go during peak holidays.
Room air conditioning was awful. They tried to fix it with no luck. A huge thanks to the housekeeper that found a fan for us. Awesome location with great views. The pool is a huge resort pool but can get a little crowded. They really need to circulate the pool water more during the day. By 3 PM it was an oil slick and warmer than a bath.
One of my favorite resorts. The pool area and staff are exceptional. Great chair side service and tons of chairs and umbrellas. It’s a beautiful resort inside and out. Tons of great food options. The breakfast team is really remarkable. Foods and beverage team are phenomenal and very well trained. The only complaint was maintenance was a bit lacking. They have a great gym, but some equipment was out of commission and the rooms AC didn’t work well nor AC in the wing our room was in. The rest of the hotel had great AC. I truly love this place. Great bar and great housekeeping as well. All very sweet
Second year in a row we spent our anniversary here. Last year with COVID so much was closed, but the resort was amazing. We had to stay again now that everything is back open. We were not disappointed! Spent the day at spa which is one of the nicest ones I’ve been to. The spa staff was great, attentive and friendly. They made us feel so special. The staff at the hotel, valet, bell service and front desk were so great. Everyone on the property always greeted us with a friendly hello when passing. The rooms were clean, quite, and comfortable! No matter where we went in the area, everything seemed close by, 10 min drive to wherever. I don’t think I’ll choose any other resort when staying in the area.
The Jay-Dub is perfectly located to all the restaurants and shopping. Its a gorgeous piece of property. Check in was great (although I had to come all the way back down because my door lock battery was dead so we had to wait for Security, etc). Not life altering but a small inconvenience as they wanted to move us to another room and our daughter and her fiance had already checked in and unpacked in their room next to ours. Valet guys were super nice and accommodating. Same with Hector at the bar. Very nice. At the end of the day, kindness is all we need. But it was clear you had more guests than staff - dont need to go into that any further. And why you didnt have all your restaurants open the full week b/t Christmas and NYrs is a mystery (unless it was staffing). But overall - good stay.
We enjoyed our stay at the JW a lot! The resort is beautiful and the amenities were great. We had no issues with getting coffee in the mornings and all staff were very friendly. We enjoyed cocktails and live music in the lobby bar area Friday night. The boat ride was fun and different. Food at the Japanese steak house was very good as well. The pool was a bit crowded Saturday but we still managed to find chairs and a spot to hang out for a little while. The only issues we had were with the golf course. One was closed for the season (I think?) and the other had a tournament going on so we couldn’t play (even though we booked the golf package). The staff were kind enough to offer a credit for the day so all in all it was ok. I did request something special for my partners birthday well in advance of us coming out but nothing was arranged. It would have been nice for just a card in the room or something small. I had requested something similar a few years ago at another JW for a friend and she got an elaborate chocolate piano covered with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine! I expected at least something but was disappointed by that. I never had a chance to ask them without my partner being present after we arrived to give them another chance to do something though. Again, overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

2023-12-06 20:14:32In all my travels, this is my favorite hotel! We have been coming here off and on for 30+ years. When our children were little, we brought all three in the summer for a spectacular summer price. What can I say? Just walking into the hotel lobby is quite an experience! It is open and inviting. There are five floors of balconies. A small river flows down to the lake with a grand staircase on either side. There are boats docked inside, ready to take you around the lake and right to your restaurant. The rooms are clean and comfy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I like that the pools are large, and there are plenty of lounge chairs to sit on. I enjoy hanging out in the grand lobby. Its so cool and refreshing after walking in the desert heat. I love visiting the pink flamingos who hang out in the lake out front. The long driveway to the hotel is accentuated by colorful flowers, and even the cacti have beautiful flowers. If you want peaceful relaxation, this is the place.

2023-11-04 14:55:22The hotel staff and service staff at the restaurants were fantastic. The golf course was not 5 stars. No where to clean your clubs, limited food drink options close to golf, going to the range requires getting in a cart, putting area was pretty small. Golf course was well kept. Golf rangers were very friendly and helpful.

2023-10-14 00:19:25We visited the JW Marriott in Desert Springs for our anniversary. Kara Zagone, checked us in and explained all the amenities the hotel offers. There are so many great offerings at this hotel. Kara was warm and personable. She asked if we were celebrating anything during our visit and we told her it was our anniversary. She sent a lovely treat to our room with a beautifully written note. The note really showed she listened and engaged with us.The rest of the resort and its offerings were wonderful. The room and the view were beautiful. The pool was amazing! We really enjoy the JW Marriott resorts and look for their resorts anytime we travel. They make our vacation experience feel so luxurious and their resorts and staff are exceptional. The Palm Desert offering was incredible!

2023-08-31 23:59:59Positive: The layout and the amenities were great. They had a lot of fun activities to do while on the property. Everyone were nice and helpful. Negative: Our room had a few issues. Fridge was unplugged and had to get someone to fix it and wait to be able to use it. The shower head broke and fell on my boyfriend while showering. It got fixed the next day. They are lucky it didn¿t break skin!!

2023-07-24 05:33:52I recently visited the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa over the week and spent a weekend with my family. I was very satisfied with the amount of kindness and respect every staff/service member holds. The lobby is beautiful, with high ceilings and have boat rentals that open at 4PM. All the staff are super friendly and always making sure that you are well and satisfied. I want to say a special thank you to the cleaning crew, they are very hardworking people. We had left to eat brunch, and our room was very messy. After brunch we had came back to our room and came back to a beautiful, clean, organized room with fresh towels, with water bottles. The staff at the pool were beyond friendly always attending me and my family. There is much to do on this resort. There is a little hidden spot I found near the Spa & Gym where you can sit near the lake with a garden. The pools are great! The Daybed rental that me and my family got was worth the price. It came with a bucket of waters and a fruit tray along with some lemonades. My parents would not stop talking about the Spa and how great the Salt Pool is. We are defenitely coming back soon again, and I am bringing ALL of my family with me.

2023-11-26 14:33:42Came here with my mom and sisters. This is a beautiful faculty, one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in. There is a $38 fee for destination and this includes parking and other things. Lots of things to do in and around the hotel. I loved the flamingo pond.

2023-08-11 09:24:12I went for a business conference. First, I was assigned to a room facing the parking lot. Then I asked for a better view and assigned to a room facing the open atrium with a bar in the middle of the ground floor. It was a huge mistake. I could hear the loud bar crowds until 1 AM.The room itself was okay, except the room temperature seemed to be stuck at a warm setting despite trying to change the thermostat. The bathroom is pretty nice with a shower enclosure, a water closet with a frosted glass wall, a large vanity, and a freestanding tub. The swimming pool and pond were beautiful. There were a few black swans swimming around, and there were a few boats that would go around the hotel. Unfortunately, the boats stop running at 7 PM. It was too hot to take a boat ride in a 111°F weather.The restaurants offered fresh seafood and friendly service.

The surrounding environment was stunning and the interior was absolutely gorgeous. Every employee we had the pleasure of interacting with was kind and helpful. The lobby bar staff in particular was an absolute blast to spend time with and represented their hotel excellently.We will certainly be coming back and are encouraging our friends & loved ones to join us.
