Its been a while since I ate at this place. I remember how I enjoyed my previous visits. On my latest one, I wasnt as impressed! The kids and I came for lunch. Two of us ordered bento meals, the other, their tonkotsu ramen. We were all underwhelmed. The saving grace of this experience --- their truffle infused Hamachi sake roll. Next time, we might just stick to ordering what this place does best, sushi and sashimi.

Overall amazing :). Was a long wait but they did whatever they could to get a group of 6 in. It was also a packed Friday so it made sense. We were immediately served. Food was pretty good of course. Server kept checking on us, making sure we were satisfied. Super friendly and loved to converse. Those complaining about this place are TRIPPIN, get a life lol. Anyways, tried sushi here for the first time and will continue to go here.

We came here for Fathers Day and had to come back. The food was so good the 1st time that we needed to choose other rolls this time, and they did not disappoint. Our server was Juan for Fathers Day, and he made sure my hubbys day was well fulfilled. He made great suggestions and kept his cup filled. Last night, we had Miguel, and he was very attentive to us and made sure all was good. I love the positive attitude they both had. It just made the experience even better.

We love our server. She has excellent customer service.The food, however...TEMPURA: visually unappetizing, tastes awful because I could taste the old oil they used to fry the tempura in. It is not crunchy as other Japanese restaurants serve the same dish. There are only 2 pieces of green beans, 2 pieces of thinly sliced carrots, and one piece of broccoli that looks really wilted or expired.YELLOW TAIL CARPACCIO... its ok. We wanted the salmon, but we were told they were out of salmon. Thus - the yellow-tail we did not really care for. Meh.SALMON POKE... it was ok, but it caused the family member to throw up an hour later, emptying his stomach of this dish.PORK BELLY RICE BOWL... 😳👀😳 no word! A side order of (2pcs) of pork belly is $3. Yet this order is $12.99(something) with 3 PIECES... unrecognizable pork bellies, NO TASTE at all. I had to use the Tempura sauce to dip the meat in to pick up a flavor. This one disgusted me to the highest level!BANANA DESSERT... meh.Everything did not satisfy us. We literally proceeded to Yoshinoya to appease the really upset tummies. (The only open restaurant after 10pm).We love Japanese cuisines. We have so many favorite restaurants with impressive, top-notched presentations and flavors. Eating here at Kabuki was highly disappointing. We should have gone to Sho-gun instead.I can guarantee avoiding this restaurant at all times. I do however give the best shoutout to our server. Hats off to her and the other staff who helped her.

Stopped in for a Friday night dinner with some friends. We were a party of 3 and we were able to get seated right away even though the restaurant was plenty busy. We ended up ordering a large array of food and it was all quite delicious. The rolls are pricey but there is a good amount of attention placed on each one. It was a great overall dinner; I would recommend it.

I came here with my husband for the first time on Friday just before 6pm. We were seated immediately and the service was great! We were able to order quickly and despite how busy they were we got our food pretty quickly. Our server, Juan, was super friendly and checked on us frequently. Even though we technically ordered after 6pm (end of happy hour) he gave us the happy hour pricing which we werent expecting but was such a nice thing to do.The food was all good and reasonably priced, and we will definitely come again!

Sat at the bar during happy hour when it started, and received the best service from Juan. Juan was super nice and attentive, and he was knowledgeable about the menu items to recommend.We ordered a few specialty rolls from the happy hour menu and they came out really quick. We ordered the gyoza as an appetizer. All of the rolls were good sizes for happy hour pricing and the spicy tuna was perfect!

Great Sushi! We sat at the sushi bar they chefs were friendly. I wish it was closer to us (we live 20 mins away without traffic). We cant wait to go back again. My favorite was Grill shrimp roll- 😋 and baked scallop California roll. Sorry, we forgot to take a picture of this one, but believe me, it was deeeeeelicious! We ordered the grill shrimp twice. The first photo is how it comes, and in the second photo, I add eel sauce and extra spicy mayo. We wouldve had a second of baked scallops, but we got full. I recommend trying this place.

Came here for my birthday and loved everything about this place. The service was great we were greeted and seated right away. Good food; however, I wish the customer service had been a lot better. We had no utensils, no napkins, and at no point were we offered a refill on our beverages. I was sharing my drink with my sister because she had already waited so long for the waitress to come anywhere near us so we could ask for a refill. When we were sat, our table had a tray on it with some dirty dishes. I questioned whether our table was even wiped down. There was a table next to us whose party had just left and there was quite a bit of trash left under the table and to my surprise they didn’t even clean it before they sat down the next party. I’ve been frequenting this location for years now and I’ve never seen it this bad.

We used to love coming here, but on our last two visits everything about it has changed. On our most recent visit, the waiter was rude and kept fleeing from the table before we could ask for anything, the food was less than average, and we got a rotten red bell pepper in our tempura. And now were experiencing the first signs of food poisoning, which isnt surprising given the rotten bell pepper.Its disappointing because we used to love it, but we wont be returning

Americanized Japanese restaurant.Think about the typical American restaurant chain set up and ambiance but instead of burger, steak and fries… it’s Japanese menu.Don’t get me wrong, the food is okay (not great), but if you’re looking for traditional Japanese cuisine, this might not be the place you’re looking for. It can be too loud for some people depending on the time and day.

Don’t ever eat here. The food is disgusting. The stuff that should’ve been cold was room temperature and the stuff that should’ve been hot was cold. The waitress forgot to bring my daughter in laws ramen and never asked to refill our drinks. We had to wave someone down and ask them. Their tuna is ground up into a canned cat food consistency and it was warm and so gross. I wouldn’t feed this food to my dog. I’ve had better sushi from a grocery store!

I had backed lobster roll here and a cocktail 🍹I loved the food! Lobster was amazing 😉Also the atmosphere of the place in the evening is pretty cool. I have given this place multiple chances and it always disappoints. Im not sure how employees are trained here but management with employees is poor. Employees do not have good customer service what so ever. The food is subpar but not something I go out of my way for. I wouldnt waste your money or time here. Plenty of better restaurants around.

Place is good. Its a chain restaurant. So expect a wait. Place is consistent though. The sushi is fresh and tasty. Sometimes the service can he lackluster, especially when its busy. But overall all we had a good time. Happy hour is a must, good selection of sushi rolls and drinks.

Never have I had the most disrespectful server in my entire life. Ellis our waitress was obsessively rude and cold, gave us a huge attitude everytime we nicely asked for something. First I would like to say Rose G. was the best server I have had in a long time. She was attentive and made excellent suggestions. The food was PERFECT. My compliments to the chef. And I would like to say it felt like a high end restaurant and I was expecting a bill of $50 just for myself. And I walked away with it being less than $40 including a BIG tip. I highly recommend this place. And I will be returning!

We ordered two rolls and two ramen. The two rolls were good BUT THE RAMEN IS THE REASON FOR THIS ONE STAR. Two ramen came out, my friends was the miso and mine was spicy beef. The miso came out okay, it wasnt the best ramen ever but it was decent.I dont even know where to start with mine, the noodle was so mushy that I thought it was overcooked at first. But my friend ate it and he was like I dont think this is cooked. And he was right, the noodle was much thinner than his, and it had this uncooked noodle taste. Like it wasnt even undercooked, it was just not cooked at all, how do they forget to cook the noodle? Once we told the server he took it to the kitchen and said they will bring out a new one, it was totally different this time, even the soup tasted different. It was definetly a lot hotter and it had a nice smoky taste and the noodle was bigger in size.I honestly, dont like how they handled the situation, there was no apology, no compensation except bringing a new bowl, which we had to wait even longer for.We were a group of 2, came here on Friday 7:30 seated at 7:55, so far all good. We sat there for 15 min, no one came by. Another group was seated in front of us, another five minutes passed. A server came and took drink orders from the group that came after us and finally came to us. mind you, weve been waiting for a good 20 min already so I asked if we can put our order in as well but the server said hell put in the drinks first and take our order after. So we just ask for water, he left, and we waited another 5-10 min and this other server takes the order of the group that came after us first, and finally our order is taken. Before our food comes out, the group that came 15min after us is already done eating.I just dont think they have a good system in place, I mean obviously from the ratings as well. Their food is decent but they really need to step up their service.

Love the rolls and drink specials here, the special bowl was also amazing but the okonomiyaki needs to be replaced with a dish that isnt swimming in sauce. Came here with friends after work and enjoyed beers and rolls together while catching up. I got really excited when I saw okonomiyaki on the menu and ordered it, but what came out was a skillet full of sauce and sweet mayonnaise instead of the savory magic that is okonomiyaki. The other food was excellent. Definitely enjoyed the special bowl with the soft shelled crab.

Had lunch w/ my daughter. She had shrimp tempura, brown rice, and shrimp cali rolls. I had the beef teriyaki (done medium) lunch combo which comes with cali rolls, house soup, & salad. I love coming here. The sushi has always been delicious for me. Always tastes fresh. No old fishy taste of smell from the sashimi. The service is excellent and accommodating. Since they dont have dine in services available at the moment because of the pandemic, they only offer pick up and take out. But they are very responsive and fast. I arrived on a busy weekend and my order was ready in 20 minutes. Not bad. I loved the takeout boxes and the presentation of the sashimi. 😊

Great sushi place with a nice staff and awesome atmosphere. We were heading home from Vegas and had to charge our Tesla at the supercharger. This is Christmas day and Kabuki was one of the few restaurants open. We walked in and were seated within a few minutes at the sushi bar. The food was very fresh and delicious. The portion was good for the price. On top of that, we were able to watch the Lakers game.

This place was a recommendation from one of my friends and it was a good one. The food was extremely good. I got pure sushi rolls and they were worth every dollar. I got the Avocado Roll, Cilantro Albacore Roll and the Las Vegas Roll and they were all good. The Cilantro roll was my favorite from the three. The service was great and fast. Ill definitely be coming back here again if I ever need a quick bite.

I personally believe Kabuki has some of, if not the, best sushi in the I.E. quality-wise. With respect to service, the servers are usually attentive and the food comes out at a good speed. The sushi chefs are all very nice and quite funny as well. The food itself is delicious, and they offer a lot of options you can find at most Japanese restaurants. They recently updated their menu, however, and now have a lot of things I barely see at Japanese restaurants in California (like a really nice unagi bowl with avocado and shredded egg). Having said all this, I would say where they really shine is the sushi. It is always made with a lot of care and flavor by the chefs, and especially Yoshi. It is always a treat to visit and, while I live a good 20-30 or so minutes away, when I want sushi I make the effort to drive over because it is that good. Definitely recommend the Lava Roll if you like a bit of spiciness in your sushi!

My wife have been asking me to come here unfortunately we did not have a good experience. The location and the staff are great but I took 3 stars off for the food. The soup we got was like warm so we sent it back to get it hot the salad was ok. The rice was not warm at all and the meats was so so. We were not satisfied. We wish the food could have been better for the price.

Came back here to edit my rating from 5 to 3 stars. The quality of everything has gone down at this restaraunt. Atmosphere is TOO family friendly (screaming everywhere). Quality of food in terms of both taste and presentation has gone down. Our dishes came to us as if they had thrown the food on the plate. My boyfriend and I LOVE kabuki but we do NOT recommend this location.

Great menu selection, sushi is fresh and delicious. Many healthy options if your concerned about what your put into your body. Didnt have to wait long for a table, got there at 7:00. They dont accept reservations on the weekend. It looked like the wait was increasing the later it got, but its worth your time to go and check out for yourself.

An easy 10/10. Amazing flavors, good service, reasonable pricing.Ordered the Spicy Beef Ramen and a Philadelphia roll. They brought out a small salad first included with your mean. I didnt expect much, but the salad has so much flavor you also want to drink the dressing.The Ramen came out very hot in a big bowl. Lots of broth and plenty of noodles. It was a very well balanced spicy ramen with great flavors. I will warn people it is spicy and if you eat a hot pepper in it youll regret it. I love spicy stuff and even this had my eyes watering. Loved it would order ramen again.The Philadelphia roll is salmon and cream cheese mostly. The salmon was very thick large cuts with some fat in them. Salmon was a little chewy due to this. However it was very good flavorful salmon and the cream cheese was top notch in combo to it. The best Philadelphia roll Ive ever had.Id happily go back here. A great experience with great quality offerings.

Food tasted acceptable. Prices were fair. Service was extremely lacking.It seemed as though the hostess had no idea what to do when we walked in. She just stared and waited for us to initiate. Not that it matters much, but I only mention it because the fact that the waiter also seemed like he didnt have experience in the industry or wasnt trained.We spoke/saw the waiter 3 times the entire stay and when we did see him he seemed uninterested and felt like we were a bother somehow. When the food came he palmed a bowl of rice and spoke with it, waiving it in the air. He then realized it and asked if we wanted it.... I was so confused. We had to ask additional staff for utensils when food came. It was an awkward experience.If the service was acceptable would rate 3.5-4

Dining at Kabuki was a great experience, excellent Japanese cuisine and great service. Wait time was short and second to none, for seating and food service. The huge sushi selection was awesome, fresh, and delicious, the tempura shrimp rolls were tasty and the spicy beef Ramen was authentic and delicious. Overall pleasant and lively environment with a full bar. Great dining experience with reasonable prices.

I ordered my almost 22+ years favorite spicy tuna tempura, yet I got something filled with fake crab and blended tuna. I addressed what I got versus what I ordered with waiter. Waiter insisted per Chef spicy tuna tempura has fake crab in it 😲. My daughters philadelphia roll also wasnt your typical philadelphia roll. Kabuki Japanese restaurant for me used to be the place to go when my favorite sushi restaurants were too crowded. It used to be just acceptable. I dont know what happened since the pandemic, but now the food is excellent. It taste much better than before and is fresher. The prices are also reasonable. A couple of times I can tell they were under staffed, but the service was excellent. They have now seemed to have solved the staffing issues and service is great. Also very friendly. This is now my go to in Rancho Cucamonga.

Staff at the door arranging seating were inconsistent and all over the place, the young lady that showed my granddaughter and I to our table had an attitude. We sat at the small table in front of the register with a table too big for the space and seats that slanted. She couldnt have cared less. But our wait staff was amazing and the sushi was good. Extremely unprofessional and discriminatory behavior.This place needs a required diversity and customer service training immediately.My party (2) was seated at a table and waited over 10 minutes to be greated by a waiter. An additional 30 minutes passed to never be served nor checked on. During this wait, more than 5 other parties were seated. They were greeted, placed their order and served while my party waited. After 40 minutes of waiting, I asked to speak to the manager, Teddy Albert. When I brought up my concerns he insisted the long wait was due to our order. Yet, when asked how the parties seated after us, all parties of 4 people or more, could get their order fulfilled but not a party of 2 no answer nor apology was provided. He only continued to give excuses and refused to acknowledge any wrongs nor the staffs behavior. The behavior displayed was highly unacceptable and unprofessional. Will NOT be back.

The food was great until one of my friends found what looked like a gum wrap on his ramen, we did end up getting it off the bill without any incident and everyone was really professional about it, as much as I want to give them credit for that, the gum wrap definitely ruined all our appetite and the evening. I guess Ill give 2 stars instead of just 1 because of the great staff. Outside of that, food came in quickly and the only thing that took long was the waiter coming to get our bill.

Located in Victoria Garden, this is easily one of my favorite places to go and dine at.The service is great, we have become regulars and usually ask to be seated at Miguel’s section. He is great and provides outstanding service.The food is amazing, it’s a “rolls” place which is not at all an issue. It’s definitely a different experience compared to places like Ra or Roku but it’s definitely worth the visit. Happy hour is good if you’re trying to keep more cash in your pocket, the rolls aren’t priced badly to begin with. I like to start off with the crab salad, calamari and sashito peppers. They have a roll for everyone, you can’t go bad with anything here. I like to get the dynamite and Las Vegas rolls.Give this place a try.

This restaurant is really nice. They have indoor dining and outdoor dining. The food is really good, from appetizers to main courses. We usually get the Boat, it is not on the menu but is available upon request. The price is $25 per person. It comes in two sizes. We get the large, enough for 4. It comes with soup, rice and the boat has tempura, steak, chicken, sushi, pineapple, pot stickers. The ambiance is nice. They have a bar area too. This place is about average. The meat in my opinion is not seasoned well, the sauce that was used to garnish the food was over powering. In addition, the meat was drenched with it. However, it is cooked properly. In addition, the vegetables with ceaser dressing on the side of the plate tasted nasty. The salad was OK, the dressing was too sweet in my opinion. Service and quality of food plummeted. If you are confused and feel i am incorrect with this review, you must not been at this establishment when it first opened. In the first 3 to 4 years after opening, food and service was excellent. Now the overall quality is not what it used to be. My biggest concern is the portion has became smaller and the price went up. Good on the menu were removed. Not sure why but it is not your traditional selection of food. Waiters seems to disappear way too long. Finished platter is not removed on time or never at all so it overwhelms the table space. Received a couple times on different occasions with almost room temperature slices of sashimi. Dirty or stained utensil. List could go on but i only come here if i wanted to be surprise if the overall experiences has changed for the better... but obviously it hasnt. Hopefully one day it will bring back that feeling that they had once before when first opened.

My daughter actually like the calamari 😂 then I had the grilled pork belly with the Vegas rolls and the Alaskan rolls while my boyfriend had the BBQ short ribs, the dragon roll and an eel roll. The food was fresh, hot and delicious.Although the BBQ ribs were expensive, it was a really nice dinner with my family. Would likely to return.

Kabuki is fabulous. The food is delicious, the presentation is stellar and Ive experienced great service for the vast majority of my visits. Count on a loud and lively crowd if you go there in the evenings; expect a decent wait as well Thursday through Sunday nights. They have a great happy hour as well.

Always had a great experience, the service is aways good but not this time the attentiveness of the server was not what we are used to. I had to get up and get napkins and utensils, our cups were empty most of the time so we had to get his attention to get refills. My son and I had to wait extra because he did not put in our order. After he finally put our order in we had to wait more, we can see our food sitting at the sushi bar meanwhile our server was behind us chatting with his co workers. I was so hungry that I almost got up and grab my food and bring it to my table. Bad experience!

Kabuki is a higher end Japanese themed restaurant with bar service. The food wasnt bad, in fact, overall it was pretty good. I just felt that the price didnt match what we got. If you want sushi during your time at Victoria Gardens, Kabuki is a convenient choice. Keep in mind that there are many other options in the area. Very cool decor and excellent service! Their lunch menu has many delicious options with generous portions! I had the chicken teriyaki with shrimp and veggie tempura, which I love plus 3 pieces of California Roll. Mom had their lunch Salmon which she really enjoyed and was a good sized lunch portion.

Kabuki was very good. Went for happy hour and still spent about $130 on 2 people for just food. The quality of the fish wasnt noticibly different from. The AYCE sushi spots I go to. I cant justify $130 when $70 would have been way cheaper and more food at the same quality.

This is our primary spot for Sushi in the Fontana/Rancho area. Food is always top quality! The reason why I rated 4 stars is because, in my opinion, I feel as though the customer service needs a lil work. Its not bad or great customer service, just slightly below average. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt though, due to this place always being busy! Perhaps, theyre always racing and therefore takes a toll on their customer service and greeting skills.This is not a reason to keep me away though. Great spot. Great food. A lot to choose from. Very busy and louder than other places. But PAR for Victoria Garden places. Calamari was just ok. A lot of batter. Chicken wings karaage were just ok. Sushi was good and large cuts of fish. I would go there for the sushi again. I like the ginger as it seemed freshly cut and not the average wet, pickled kind. Fried rice was clean and not oily and not over seasoned and we liked it. The seared yellow tail collar was good. Our server Celeste was very attentive. The food came quick and like other reviews the food came at different times but not a big issue. I would return for dinner.

I love the foods there and has been their royal customer, but recently I noticed the Kabuki rolls becomes smaller. The base rolls has been so short, and small in portion. I have had Kabuki rolls for many years and when I first order it everything was perfect a few years back, but now I order the Kabuki rolls and each time between this beginning of the year and middle of last year the Kabuki rolls has been smaller and smaller, it look nothing like the picture shown in the menu and didn’t live up to its 15.50$ price. Hope you guys can see it yourself and fix it. This is a point of view of your regular customer.

As my wife was going to sit down the hostess moved my wifes chair out of under her causing my wife to fall on her tailbone. No one asked if she was okay. I dont typically complain, but this was my worst Japanese restaurant experience. Service was terrible, six times waiters brought food for our table that we did not order. The place is too dark to read the menu. Once we got our sushi, the waiter did not bring plates, soy sauce, ginger or wasabi. Waiter kept apologizing, then left and some other waiter took over. Tempura and sushi rolls were way below average, and tasted poor.

Service is clearly affected by Coronavirus. They have few tables on a patio in an alley. No music. No view, no sensory perks, its under a tent thing. Decent food but marginal service. Doing what they can I guess *sigh*
