Top 3 Japanese restaurant in the US.We park our car near by and walk to the restaurant surrounding. Then we see many people here and decide to choose it. The fried noodles is like 100% Japanese style and so good. The Tonkatsu was ok but I got very full so I think it’s worth.

This was my first time here. The food was fair. My salmon was overcooked . I guess I expected a better meal. It was fair. The service was great when we walked in. Seated right away. But our waiter kept forgetting us. We had to keep calling him. Overall, my dad enjoyed his birthday meal.

I sat at the sushi bar and had the cilantro albacore rolls, lotus on fire rolls, California rolls, house salad, and miso soup and for dessert I had a scoop of strawberry ice cream, green tea ice cream and mochi balls ice cream. The customer service is outstanding! Stephen is awesome and Francesca the manager is wonderful.

Been a while since I’ve been here. It was a mainstay before all the All You Can Eat Sushi places started to pop up. Sushi is one of those dishes where quality trumps quantity. While Kabuki is definitely on the more expensive side, much much easier to get a table and good service. Ordered the sashimi sampler and definitely did not disappoint

I really liked this place, we arrived at lunch time, got a table immediately and the food was served pretty fast.We ordered beef gyozas (they dont have pork on the menu 😔), tuna sashimi and 2 rolls.The tuna sashimi was a bit pricey ($15 for 5 slides of tuna) but it was fresh and savory, the rolls come in 6 pieces (Im more of a 8 - 10 pieces type of girl but they were fine) and they offer complementary lemon flavored water.Also, the wazabi was spicy, just like I like it.Good experience in an overall.

The food is amazing, very nice crew, the only problem I had is that someone in my table add something at the order after we finished with the person in charge, it took about 30 minutes until we asked again and had to wait another ten minutes til the finally served it.Try the *eel and avocado roll* and the *volcano roll* they were my favorite, the rest of the food was also good

Overall I really like this place it would have gotten at least a 4 But just found out that the side order of shrimp tempora that only comes with only 1 they charge $3.50 for just 1 😤 Honestly I was expecting at least 3 or at least 2 big ones I feel ripped off. I thought maybe it was a mistake, But unfortunately it was not I called them myself, the nice lady on the phone recommends to just get the veggie tempora instead 😕

This is one of my go-to sushi spots when I am in Cerritos. I like that they are fast, affordable, and has casual vibes. My fave is their sashimi and calamari. My husband loves their beef ramen. This place always satisfies our cravings. We will always come back here. so far. :)

The review is based on the way we were treated just recently based on the covid “rules” a couple of us went to eat for lunch the girl at front asked for our vax cards not sure if this is what they are doing now but never have we’ve been asked but everyone had a picture of it I had to go get it from car so I told her I would go get it from my car when I get back there’s a male there I proceeded to show him my vax card, then he asksd for my DRivers license … idk if it’s legal here but Iam looking into it it felt wrong to be asked for that I don’t think they were asking other customers for it. I felt discriminated he’s attitude while asking was horrible .

We are addicted to this place. Weve been coming to this location since opening day and service is always great, friendly, accurate and fast. Their selection off food is awesome, if you dont like the raw fish they also have different noodles soup, entree plates like fish, meat and chicken, different. Their drink menu is also pretty great,. Their sample sakes are a must and lots of fun. Their wait is pretty long at times, try to reserve ahead before you go. The food was decent and fairly priced in my opinion. Got a bowl of ramen for $9 and it had a nice toasty flavor to the broth. I was pleasantly surprised. I really like that they give you a salad in addition to your entree. Their salad has pretty good ingredients although they douse it with dressing. I would definitely come back. My boyfriend got the salmon and chicken platter and it was pretty good too

I has enjoyed here for more than 10 years.I ordered 3 items thru online today 7 pm, but they changed the pickup time to 7:30 pm. When I arrived there 7:45, but it was not ready. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. When my family and I arrived, we were told we had to be seated in 2 separate tables. A nearby customer asked why we couldn’t be seated together, but they proceeded to seat us under the tent, separately. I got up and asked a different waitress if we could be seated together. She hesitated but finally agreed and sat us in the sun ... even though there were tables in the shaded area. I then proceeded to ask a waiter if he could seat us in the shade. He politely agreed. When the food got to the table, it was mediocre at best. The check arrived at a whopping $200. First and last time here.....

I usually go to the one in Westchester and by comparison this one gets mixed reviews. We arrived during happy hour but were not given a happy hour menu by the hostess until we asked our server.Other than that I loved the service but the food was just...Not the same as the other location. The sushi roll with what is supposed to be baked scallops on top was basically chopped onion in a fishy dish served on seaweed and rice. It did not look appetizing. The spicy mayo tasted and looked like a spicy nacho cheese sauce. But everything else was okay.

Great presentation, average service, skimpy serving size and average if not sub par sushi. It didnt taste that great and we were so hungry afterwards we went to McDonalds. We spent $80 for 2 people and were both starving afterwards. Ive been to a lot of sushi places and usually expect to pay $40 or more per person, but its absurd that it felt like we barely ate an appetizer. I ordered shrimp tempura, a crunch roll and Unagi. At most places that should be plenty of food to fill me up, they trick you with the nice presentation but it really isnt that much food at allThe presentation was really nice though.I will never be back. Place is too small and noisy. Ambience is nothing compare to Bella Terra branch. The service is not good. Waiter is no where to be seen. Beer and mango lemonade came out lukewarm. Tempura mix platter had string beans that were so fibrous only a horse can digest. I chewed a d chewed and just cant manage to swallow. Waited for a refill of my lemonade but cant find our waiter anywhere. We also got the omakase special and it was alright. We hurried and paid and leave. We will not come again to this location.

I have been eating at Kabuki for some time and the BBQ short ribs are my favorite. This is my birthday dinner and the ribs we very fat and not cooked well with fat meat at the bottom. Every time Ive ordered rolls Ive received edamame and when I asked for some with my to-go order they were trying to charge me. So I talked to the manager Eduardo and told him I wanted a refund. It took him about three attempts to refund my cash because he wasnt counting it right. He even had a calculator and still couldnt manage to add my refund right. I wasted 30 minutes and I received no apology for the inconvenience. Very rude and poor customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have only been to this place a couple of time. I dont have any memory of this place left me any impression the first. But I really enjoy my meal the second time i was there. Taking the suggestion from our waitress, I ordered the seafood udon. I thought I would not like sauteed udon, but I was wrong! It was very testy and a little bit spicy which I dont mind at all, and seafood was very fresh and clean.

I used to like Kabuki for the fresh sushi, but it has gone waaaay down in my book! Today I ordered and paid over $20 for 1 roll, which took 35 minutes to get, was the incorrect roll and soaked in ponzu/falling apart/dripping all over because they left the ponzu open. Oh, and they didnt give me any pickled ginger or Wasabi. What a waste of my time and money.Ps, dont try to complain to the manager because youll just get left on hold.

One down thing about doing take out during covid is that you dont know if the restaurant pack up your food correctly until you get home. This is not the first time i had this happen to me from this kabuki location. They either get my order wrong, or i come home with missing items but already got charged for in the receipt. It is worth it ro call them and dispute? And like a domestic violence victim, i keep coming back to them bc my favorite sushi restaurant doesnt open on sunday... What i should of done, anf will next time, is check mt orders before i leave... But i shouldnt have to do that in the first place if the staff just do a thorough job.

Overall excellent restaurant! The steak teriyaki here is the best steak teriyaki ever! High quality steak (better than most steak houses) cooked perfectly. The ginger Asian dressing they use in the salad is super yummy too. And if youre a soda person like me the soda fountains here are perfectly calibrated. Delicious Coke and Pibb Xtra! Sometimes the service isnt perfect - last time we ate here we were ready to pay and leave and couldnt find our waitress forever. But usually its not like that.

This is a chain restaurant, but has always been a consistent go-to for my family. Food is Japanese-Korean-SoCal fusion. Quality is always very good to excellent. The menu changes every now and again, so things remain fresh.This is NOT a traditional Japanese restaurant, so please dont come expecting that, and dont critisize the place with that in mind.Biggest complaint would be noise level. Its an open plan with high celings, and can get very noisy when busy.

I use to have this at 5 stars but when I went down for a birthday lunch with my mother, it went down hill! Lobster was raw in the lobster roll (inedible). They use to serve edamame when you sit down, now they charge for it. They also had ran out of other stuff for their drinks like lemonade, mint, and mango for their tea. I use to love the sushi even though it is a bit costly but the quality is (was) top notch been going here for the past few years when they opened!

Have been here twice and both times the same horrible service and experience from several receptionist and servers. Kabuki lost a customer at this location. Or something along those lines. Anyway, I was pretty disappointed, as this was my third sushi place in a week, and definitely last on my list.I dont remember what exactly it was that I didnt like about it. I just remember thinking that the sushi was so mehhh. Maybe it was bland? I honestly cant say. All I know is that there are definitely a lot better sushi places out there (my favorite one is Jang Soo in hawaiian gardens) that are worth the more expensive cost.

I like Kabuki in genral but Cerritos location is one of the worst.Cons:No reverse happy hour post 9 pm unlike a lot of locations.They used to give complimentaty edamme. Not anymore.Service is below average.Same menu items that taste better at othet Kabuki locations dont taste that good here.Chefs dont seem to put heart into dishes they prepare here. Example : albacore crunch that we ordered comes with onions and ponzu sauce. (Hardly any onions and ponzy sauce in it).Overall i end up here at times but more often than not leave with a negative experience.
