Kabuki Japanese Restaurant in Oxnard

If you want sushi go somewhere else. Quality has been going downhill. Lately the food has no taste no seasoning no flavor. Ive tried it with my family a couple of times and were still under the same impression that they lack flavor.Especially the noodles have no flavor they look good but they taste like nothing you have to add as many comments as they have availableI would much rather go to a different Sushi spot in Oxnard.

MANUEL AND ANTHONY WERE AMAZING SUSHI CHEFS WITH GREAT ATTITUDE. OUR WAITER NATE WAS NOT ATTENTIVE, DID NOT OFFER A DESSERT NOTHING. HE SEEMED MORE INTERESTED ON HIS PHONE. JUST CAME BY DROPPED THE CHECK NO REFILLS NOTHING. WE HAD TO ASK FOR SIRACHA BY FLAGGING DOWN OUR WAITER .. SUSHI PRICES WERE AVERAGE AND HAD GREAT TASTE. THE 2 SUSHI CHEFS ARE A MUST KEEP GREAT SMILES AND WERE MORE ATTENTIVE THAN THE WAITER.

Nice staff and great selection of good foods. Had an Asahi on tap. So good.

Today was my first time stopping here with my husband. Manuel and Anthony are great chefs and communicated with us. Nat on the other hand didn’t give us good customer service. The food was good overall

Food was great. Our waitress was very nice. They were able to substitute imitation krab with real crab so that it was all gluten-free and delicious. That being said, service was slow.

This is a very Americanized Japanese restaurant. My first impression when we sat down was picture of sushi taco, which was a big red flag. I started with a hot green tea which was more like hot water with a hint of tea. For the dish I got beef yakisoba and the flavor was not good. Almost like a cheap sweet soy sauce that went bad. Was not worth eating and just left it behind. This was the first and last time I am coming here. I highly do not recommend coming here.

Excellent! The food just melts in your mouth. We had an amazing server. 10 out of 10!

I ordered Kabuki delivery from DoorDash last evening. The photo is what I got: 2 pieces of sushi and a roll. I took the pic as soon as I received the order. Check out the sushi!!! I didnt even get chopsticks. I called the restaurant immediately and spoke to the manager. He told me, unapologetically, that whatever my complaint was, I needed to take it up with DoorDash; however, I was not asking for my money back at that point...just acknowledgement of their extremely substandard meal. Never again! Now, I will report to DoorDash!BTW, this is the first time Ive ever left a review of any kind.

The choice of sake bar, sushi bar, outside or inside is the best. The servers are all sweet and on it coming from a server myself. The sushi is fresh and render. The happy hour is insane. Overall this is my favorite sushi restaurant so far. I really appreciate the atmosphere, service, freshness, and overall price point!!!

If you are in the neighborhood of Oxnards make sure you stop by for a visit. Nate is awesome to talk to as well as his sashimi chefs behind the glass. The Nigori is a must and so is a Sapporo if you really want to enhance the flavor of your food. The soft shell crab is excellent but make sure you ask for what you like to dip it in. I prefer some masago, some hot peppers, some soy, and maybe some Wasabi. It is up to you. The Sashimi is fresh, the cucumber salad is excellent and the seaweed salad tastes like every other place but still good. Ask for Nate and your service will be excellent. Also Nate is trying to pursue his passion of voice over so any help would be grateful. He is such a nice young man. Ask for Nate you wont be sorry. Great place, nice atmosphere.
