Be warned that after 5pm they pack up your food as to go rather than plated. Doesn’t make much of a difference as the food is packed quite well but just a heads up. The food itself tastes very good and the pork is juicy and not too dry. While the restaurant usually doesn’t have a line, most of the seating for this food court is outdoors.

Came here for dinner after work on a coworker’s recommendation - it was excellent! I got The Loin Katsu Set, which was a great value - katsu, rice, and soup all for under $15. The pork was so juicy and tender, and the outside was so unbelievably light and crispy. The sauce was very good and went great with the pork. Would definitely come again!

Food quality itself is so great, and the price is so inexpensive compared with the quality. There is a counter with me and servers, and servers are nice, and there is nothing to get any extra service. The dining area is crowded as expected. Good place to order the Tonkatsu.

The food at the food court is nice, but I just like to grab the sushi from the store. The tables and chairs are kept clean, the floor had a bunch of dropped food left on it.

The food was ok. Ive had better chicken katsu. The woman that took our order seems to hate her job. Not very friendly or helpful. I asked for soy sauce, and she said, What for? I told her for the rice, and she said they dont have soy sauce. I asked if she had any spicy sauce, and she laughed and said no. She just gave me more katsu sauce. We asked if she had anything a little healthy, and she said, Everything is deep fried. Just not the type of employee I would want working for me. I probably wont return here.

My go-to for on the go katsu curry. I feel like they give more when you sit down and eat rather than to go. You get way more cabbage salad! Service is polite and fast.

This is a really good Japanese cutlet! Ordered the Mille katsu and man is this a juicy and crispy cutlet. This set has everything, rice, miso, salad, and the cutlet. Very good price for a full meal. Even the spicy mustard (karashi) is awesome. So far I been twice but I ordered the same thing cause its so good. Its even better when your done to grab some more grub from the grocery store.

Totemo oishi. Mata kimasu. Delicious, clean, fresh, good quality,, good portion. Chicken katsu is crunchy, fresh. Every item is excellent. I dont say this often. Hygiene & freshness are not trivial to me. God willing we will come here often.

I’ve been to their beautiful El Segundo dine-in branch. Note this branch only does take-out.The sando ($9) was nice, but I recommend their rice set versions.

Weaker version of the Kagura Torrance; however, the quality is still good. It is just a bit cheaper. I usually get the Katsu Don here for to-go since the outdoor food court closes at 6. The indoor dining area has limited seat.

The food was new to me and it was satisfying. I recommend you ask about the food you order in detail. I ordered the Tare katsudon, next time I will not get the Tare katsudon, Ill get the regular one. My food got mushy when I was expecting crunchy. Thank goodness for the karaage place.

If you like authentic Japanese tonkatsu, this is the place for you! They make delicious tonkatsu made to order, so it is fresh and hot! I like the loin katsu set, but the katsudon is delicious also. I would highly recommend this place for great Japanese tonkatsu.

Food is good..Menu is really good...Took my staff there for lunch...They gotta look in to replacing or training front servicing lady....Spend close to $70 and also left them a good tip .We understand the struggle of the small business now days I own my self one ...She needs to keep smile on a face ...(kind a mean mean demeanor) and refused few times to give my employees a Wassabi and teriyaki sauce ..we did ask if there a extra charge....she did kind throw fit at my employee when he ask few times ..said no we dont allow extra stuff...Manager or owner needs to train her or have a word with her ...I never a believer giving low stars to any small business...

This is the express version of [what I know as] the original Kagura location in Old Torrance. The menu is limited to just katsu (pork, chicken, and curry options) compared to the restaurant but its what I prefer, TBH. I usually get the loin katsu (more tender and fatty) while my husband prefers the fillet katsu (leaner cut).Expect long lines during peak lunch hours, especially during the weekend. There are usually plenty of tables in the food hall; indoor seating is limited but there is lots of space in the enclosed patio. You can also peruse the market or pick up some AMAZING pastries at the adjacent food stall (Croissants du Tokyo) while you wait to enjoy the best katsu in the South Bay.

Great tonkatsu. I recommend the filet katsu set. The pork tenderloin on a bed of cabbage with pickles and mustard served with rice and wakame onion miso soup. Call ahead for evem faster pickup.

This store is located in the Food Court in Tokyo Central. The store is small, but the quality of the tonkatsu is very good! All orders will be automatically packaged as takeout after 5pm, but customers can still eat freely at outdoor or indoor seats.

Every time I come here, I get the perfect tonkatsu. I liked that there was a bakery next door, so it felt like they used carefully selected breadcrumbs.Its a little different from the picture. There are pickled radish and sesame salt mustard in the picture, but instead of pickled radish, only pickled cucumber and mustard appear.The cashier in front often frowned. If only the service was a little better.I dont think there is a more delicious tonkatsu restaurant than here.The best restaurant
