2023-06-06 03:53:57Great food, great ambiance, and the service was outstanding! Our server was on it the whole time catering to us. Glasses were never empty. Food was coming out at a great pace, giving us time to enjoy the plates. I can say I was impressed with the pork belly buns as they had many flavors ranging from, ginger, cilantro, and mint with the pork flavor made this a favorite. The fried rice was so good it gave me ideas of ingredients to add to my own with a great range of flavor. Also on the list was the HB roll, which was very good and the balboa roll with a flavor all its own and not to miss. Stuffd jalapeños were on a different level with fresh seafood in it giving it a great simple fresh taste. Photos attached.

2023-03-21 04:01:47Our server was great even made us chuckle a few times. The two plates we had were delicious. I appreciated that the fried rice wasnt a huge serving. This allowed me to go downstairs and enjoy an ice cream from the ice cream shop. The restaurant itself is beautiful.

2023-11-14 13:06:04Tucked away in the back of the mall upstairs across from the bungalow. Their speak easy just got shut down unfortunately. Was really cool hidden in a room disguised as a book shelf wall. The rest of the restaurant has Great service. Decent food. The best craft cocktails in all of Orange County in my opinion. Very expensive which keeps me from going here more often. Lower the price of your drinks even just a few dollars and you will get more repeat customers more often. 18.00 for a tiny drink that has a large ice cube filling the entire glass leaves just a small portion to consume. Insanely great drinks through. Place is always dead and never packed. Definitely seems like they may not last.

2023-05-01 04:31:18This gem is tucked in the back corner of level two in pacific city, absolutely gorgeous entryway and decor. The menu has a little something for everyone, we ordered from both the dinner and raw menus. The food waa delicious, the drinks were tasty, our server was friendly and attentive. We had reservations for a Saturday evening and had a very short wait for our table.

2022-12-18 15:45:02I sat at the sushi 🍣 bar and really enjoyed the company of the chefs. This is definitely not the traditional sushi restaurant.Traditional sushi is very light on flavor so you can taste the freshness of the fish.At Kai, every bite is packed with flavor so this is a different way to serve sushi. The staff service was good. Interior design is nice. I would definitely come back and take a few friends.

2023-09-11 21:42:31I had the most incredible meal at Kai. The decor and ambiance was impeccable. Gustavo, our server, was so friendly and helpful guiding us through the menu. Some favorites include the pork belly bao buns and the hashbrown roll (omg!). Can’t wait to go back!

2023-11-30 06:39:59Kai is amazing! I took my dad here for his birthday and our server George made him feel so special - super friendly, quick to laugh, and gave us exceptional service. We loved every single thing we ate (especially the spicy tuna crispy rice and hash brown roll) and the place has a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

2023-12-20 18:39:41We sat in the outer bar area. Was quite lovely and warm until a very rowdy group appeared and were very obnoxious. Loud and uncontrolled. Very difficult to carry on conversation.Thank goodness food was delicious and specially made cocktail fun and tasty.

2023-09-18 00:19:17The pork belly fried rice and the Hawaiian roll were both delicious. The service was pretty good. We walked over from the beach and I had my small baby with me and the hostess was very accommodating, however there is no changing station in the restaurant so I had to change my babys poopy diaper on the sink in the bathroom which was off putting at best. The cocktails left a lot to be desired as well. We all got different cocktails and none of us were impressed, as they were a little weak AND lacking in taste. If they are going to be lacking in taste they should at least be strong!

2023-01-10 08:12:26This place is a must go for sushi lovers. High quality fish and amazing nigiri preparation by the sushi chef. He really knows what hes doing. We will definitely try the omakase next time since the chef really puts a lot of thought into his creations.Even the regular menu items are great. We had the hamachi crudo and a couple carpaccios as well. All super fresh and delicious. The watermelon pork belly salad was an interesting surprise as well.Great food all around!
