Excellent restaurant to eat you will enjoy It! I have tried the sushi here before you will love to try It, great service, great cozy atmosphere and overall a perfect place to eat. I ordered the beef noodle soup the other day It was yummy. Just be careful Its a little hot but good flavor and about 16$ range.

I have never eaten at a place so fast. The service was good and the atmosphere is nice but the portions are incredibly small for 20$ almost a roll with only 5 pieces (what it seems like). I am surprised the place has mostly good reviews (maybe bots or fake reviews from the owner).If the raw fish isn’t good, neither is the rest. The lemonade tasted like flavored water. This is actually a warning to not eat here, nothing against them, but just go eat some place else that’s more edible or filling.

Super yummy chirashi bowl even for take out. It had seaweed salad and miso soup. The fish was super fresh and delicious. It was presented well especially for take out. I wonder how the dine in bowl looks! Would recommend this to anyone, the amount of high-quality fish for $23 is awesome

Really liked the food here. Its a nice cozy place, perfect to enjoy good food with family. We arrived pretty late so the experience was a bit rushed, would have to go back again with more time so that we can sit back and enjoy the food. We ordered a mix of rolls and other dishes. We were not disappointed. But they have a lot of other options on the menu, we have to try those out too.

I went there to eat for the first time with my wife because the reviews seemed solid with over 400 reviews and it fell short. I call Kaki Sushi shortly after my experience letting them know I wanted to tell the manager or experience and no one has returned my call. This leads me to believe they do not care about their customers and how they can improve.I have eaten at probably every sushi restaurant in Pleasanton and many in Dublin and this was sadly the worst around.I ordered the ika fry and it was too chewy and the oil it was fried in was old. I have made ika dry at home and mine might not have been as tasty but it was not chewy or cooked in burned oil. I also ordered a roll and bento box, not special at all. The salmon in the bento box wasnt flavored, rather tasteless. The miso soup was also lacking some flavor, I could confidently say my home made miso soup was more tasty.I am still hoping someone from the restaurant will call me back so I can let them know of my experience. To make up for this experience Im looking to go back to my go-to sushi spot Meiko and Zakuro.Update: July 16.$97 was a lot for a family of 5, where the three kids dont eat much, one only eats rice. Maki rolls seemed small for the cost (comparing to other local Japanese spots), the server seemed rush, came and took the order and rushed away. Food was okay, nothing special. The ambience is very nice, probably the best part.

This place lacks customer service. Walked into this place at 2:40pm. The hosts at the door asks us how long do we plan to eat since they stop taking orders at 3pm.They should have a sign that says we close earlier than 3pm.I have never been to a restaurant where the hosts asks “hoe long do you plan to eat!” Pathetic customer service !!

First time ordering from this restaurant. We ordered the salmon sashimi dinner to go, and we were very, very happy with the quality. They were also extremely fast. Our brief interaction with the one person who took the order was also very positive! Seems like very nice people, and the prices were great! We will definitely be back, and will review again.

Visited tonight for my daughters birthday. There was 5 of us my wife me and 3 kids. We were the only people seated there. The service was slow. When we received our check there was a service fee added to the bill. I asked what this was, and the lady said it was because we were a large party. We were a family of 5. This fee came out to $15.00. our bill subtotal was $69.70. I asked the what was the percent she added, she had no idea and said the computer figures it out.There is no signs on the wall or menu stating the charge a service fee for 5 or more people.Stay away from this place. They are crooks!!!

This Sushi place has Great food, specials, and service. Great place to have drinks, a light meal, big meal with your family, or to come and celebrate any occasion. The service is quick and there are some really creative dining options. Its cozy and welcoming. We will be coming back to dine here. The staff makes you feel special and the prices are very fair!

Love this sushi restaurant! Mostly because of the friendly (and speedy) staff!This is my go to place for both sit down or takeout. We always get seated here (even though there are plenty of customers), and take out never takes more than 15 minutes (usually done as soon as I drive there).The quality of the food is always outstanding. Weve been probably 15-20 times and have rarely gotten a bad piece of fish (out of their power, mostly just a fatty piece of raw fish). Nothing rotten ever. The place never stinks or reeks of fish like some poke places weve been to.You can generally expect complementary simple miso soup and edamame if youre eating there.Parking is alright, you can park in the common Walmart parking lot that is in the same shopping area.

The food here was great, but the service & prices are going to keep me coming back! The staff was super friendly and even gave us a complimentary piece of fried fish! The fish was battered and fried to perfection, and big enough for 2 to share. We were pleased with all of the 5 rolls we ordered. To top it off, the complimentary ice cream at the end had to be the best green tea ice cream Ive ever had!! The decor is outdated and needs a little help; old traditonal Japanese style with floral seat pads! Too many positives to pay attention for too long though. Their sashimi slices are actually thick slabs and fresh! We have taken out from here at least 3x and dined-in 1x over the past 6 months. Consistently good sashimi, especially salmon. No shiso leaves though. Love the salmon sashimi dinner set; a reasonable price!Spider roll (soft-shell crab) was generous and tasty but the tempura batter was a bit over-fried, making it too crunchy for my preference!All in all, a solid Japanese place that earns a place in our take-out rotation!

Overpriced, overcooked, undersized portions, and overall did not taste fresh. This was the smallest sushi rolls I’ve ever seen, particularly the lion king roll and the bay island. Also, got a two item bento box. There was a child’s portion of salmon and beef, both were over cooked and chewy. Unfortunately, were never coming here again.

First visit and would love to go more often. Large menu, friendly service, good food. We were given a free appetizer of breaded fried fish (big enough to split at least 2 ways). Included was also edamame, miso soup, hot tea, and a small scoop of green tea ice cream. The three of us enjoyed our own rolls and shared an order of pot stickers and hot sake. All of this for only about $15/person. If it wasnt a 45 minute drive for us, wed definitely be frequent visitors.

Recently moved to the area. First time customer - good sushi, but very rude waitress. Brought menus and soup out with no spoons. Came back 5 minutes later asking if we were ready to order and said we needed a minute but if we could get spoons. Came back and slammed the spoons. We looked at the menu and she came back again. We ordered the Sashimi Chefs choice 16 piece to split for starters and wanted to look over the menu more and she was upset we didnt order anything else and grabbed the menu. Brought us our food and didnt check on us at once. We got a togo box, paid and left.

Very good sushi here with excellent customer service. They gave us a free Aloha roll dish - which was pretty good. They also gave us free green tea ice cream at the end. We ordered the Big Mac sushi which was good. My favorite ones were the Alaska roll (if you like Avocado - you will def. like this one) and the OMG roll. They also have a frequent buyer card, which gives you credit for free sushi!

The food at this place is good, but Im a bit disappointed with the service. Ive gone here twice and BOTH times, they forgot part of my order. The first time it was a California Roll, the second time it was a salad. When I told them they had forgotten part of the order, they didnt give me anything free as an apology--they just said that they would give it to me the next time I went to the restaurant. Isnt it usual to give customers something free as an apology if you forget something?

I think this place is super cute! And I like the fact that you get a free potato cake (like a latke) and a free scoop of ice cream (size of mochi ice cream). Everyone is super friendly and the sushi is delicious. The first time I went here, I had the Honey honey roll which is unagi, tamago and avocado in a sweet sauce. And I thought it was at a good price.The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I came back here recently with a friend because we had a serious craving for sushi. I had a veggie roll and inari. The veggie roll had avocado, seaweed, egg, and cucumber. It was quite filling. My friend ended up devouring two rolls, so I know she liked it.Kaki is tucked away on the corner next to Walmart, so parking may be in issue depending on the time of day. We were fortunate to find parking nearby. We didnt wait long for our food, so I think the turnaround time is normal.

Kaki Sushi is generous, authentic and friendly. You will get complimentary fried fish, miso soup, salad and your choice of green or mango ice cream. Tea lovers may like the fact that Kaki serves the kind of green tea with roasted rice (genmaicha). Their menu has many options; that along with their specials are great at a very reasonable price. Decided to visit kaki after reading the reviews. However, it turned out to be a big disappointment.Food: food was merely average. Ordered Dinner combo beef short ribs with sushi. The bed ribs were burnt and overcooked, a bit on the salty side. The salmon sushi and yellowtail sushi were fresh, but the tuna sushi were not fresh, might have been sitting idle for too long. California roll was average good.Service: I would give it a 0 if it is available. I was greeted by the restaurant hostess, who seated me fairly quickly. Then it went downhill. A Korean waitress attended me, very impatient in answering my questions to the menu. Didnt bring me eating plate or the little sauce plate to put soy sauce and wasabi in. When finishing the meal, I asked it would be possible for the waitress to help pack my sushi as my hands are tied on the phone. She rolled her eyes, and yelled why this is not a 5 star restaurant...I am not sure why she behaved this way as there are very few customers around for dinner and she was mostly just chatting with other waitors.Overall, it was a big disappointment. Food was at or below average, service was terrible. Will not return.

Kaki is fantastic, the owners are the cutest couple and give great personal service. When you order food, it comes with a potato pancake, edamame, and ice cream, no matter what you order. I usually goin for their sushi rolls, though Ive tried the Bento box as well. Both are very tasty, but the rolls especially are the best; not too messy, deep friend just right, and the sauce is to die for. Their decorations are cooky and random but its great.Also, the cook likes to send people Saki shots to do with him ;)HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have been visiting this place for a very very long time, and I have always preferred the sushi here above all other sushi locations in Pleasanton. In fact I like this place more than most places I have ever visited outside of Pleasanton.Perhaps, some day in Japan, I might finally find a sushi place that is better than Kaki. The place is quite nice, a little small but cozy, I went when they just opened in the morning, so there was no one else, they served me quickly and the waitress was very friendly. I ordered a bento with Teriyaki and California makis. They give you miso soup salad and rice. The rolls are very simple and somewhat salty, the Teriyaki is good, drink a juice, something sweet but not bad. I feel that the portions are very small but I suppose that if you order another type of food it could vary. The bathroom was slightly dirty on this occasion and only has one for ladies and one for men. If there are a lot of people you could have problems because of the queue. He has takeout, a girl came for his order.
