Kalbi King Korean BBQ & Sushi in Bakersfield

Great place especially for Bakersfield. Staff is super nice and always asking if we are doing okay during our meal. Food is good as well and I enjoy the atmosphere! Heading back here again in a week for a birthday dinner:)! I will include a photo from when I last went to this place!

So impressed with this place from start to finish. We had a birthday in the party and mentioned it randomly to the staff while we were waiting for our table. At the end of the meal they brought out a little desert with a candle.Staff was attentive, everything was delicious. There were a lot of people but it didn’t feel crowded. Music was playing but it was at the perfect level for good conversation.Banchan was super tasty and they brought out more kimchi when we were running low.Everyone in our party was singing the praises by the end of meal. A+

Reservation is a must. And arrive on time. We enjoyed the attention and lesson of our meal. All quality meats, lovely service. And plenty to enjoy. A full table is an understatement. Happy hearts, happy tummy. Definitely recommend it! But if you have a hungry man, buy him a larger meat portion, and watch him control the cooking.We were very cared for, important in todays dining. The food was great we had excellent service even with the waitress on her second day, She was amazing. We ordered 2 large meat plates and a few other appetizers and everything was excellent. and I have to give some slight praise to the manager he was also amazing that day. He was very helpful to our large group.

This place was very good. We had never tried Korean BBQ before and decided to give this place a shot. At first glance this place looks like a hole in the wall, but the inside has a very trendy vibe. The food was good, but we didnt know what half the sides were or how to eat most of it. Which was fine - we could have asked or Googled it. My only complaint was that it was incredibly loud inside - there was K-pop music videos playing the entire meal. Not a big deal though, overall experience was good.

Had a most delicious New Years Eve dinner at Kalbi King. Everyone was nice and courteous. Will definitely return.

My husband and i ordered combo #1, the steak, pork belly and thinkly cut beef. It came with 2 sides of white rice, salad and 5-7 toppings, egg and soup. $49 they offer to cook it for you if needed.I also ordered the firecracker sushi roll, delicious!Appetizers: garlic edamame and musselsEverything was delicious! We have tons of leftovers. Great customer service. They were very kind and helpful.PS dont forget to purchase a macaron on your way out! $4.50

I always love going here. I love the side dishes and the premium pork belly. You get a lot for your money, but I recommend it.

Me and my 7 yr old son decided to try this restaurant and paid 82$ for food and got poor quality meat loaded with fat we left starving and went straight to McDonald’s. Save your money and go somewhere else. This is a quick very expensive snack not worth it.

The food is really pretty good. I tried the pork you-cook-it option and it was real tasty. All the condiments were quite nice. Our server was very polite in explaining things as newcomers to Korean food. The busboy however, wow...he must not like working there because he had a terrible rude attitude. This review would be a four if it were not for him. I asked how to turn the grill off because we were finished and it was smoking, but he gave some pretty serious attitude and told us to do it ourselves without explaining how. He just said its over there, rolled his eyes, and left us to figure it out alone. My 4 year old was coughing and we needed help and that was pretty crummy. -1 point for that guy.
