I only go here for their delicious handmade noodle soup. They reduced the amount of noodles per bowl significantly, comparing to pre-COVID. To make it worse, the price went up 25%. I ordered few cold appetizers. They are loaded with MSG and made me dizzy and thirsty afterwards. I used to favorite this place. Now I am over it.
Their curry chicken cutlet is excellent!! Japanese flavor style sweet not spicy, and the rice that comes with it is Japanese rice I believe. it’s not like the typical Chinese style.
It looks like Kam Hong Garden has gone through a menu renovation. The dishes that they serve seem to be different from the ones I had tried a few years ago. They dont have xiao long bao (which is what I wanted when I walked into the store), but they do offer a variety of noodle soups, dry noodles, rice, dumplings, wraps, etc. And with the noodles, there are three different types you can order from!The beef noodle soup was really good! I was pleasantly surprised at how much meat was in the dish. They also had a good amount of green onion and cilantro that garnished the soup. The beef was tender and soft, the soup had rich flavor and wasnt too spicy ... but it was the thick hand-cut noodles that was the star of the meal. I love thick noodles, and I especially loved Kam Hongs thick cut noodles! Chewy, but not too dough-y, there was enough substance yet the noodles still carried the flavor of the broth. If I needed to be picky about this dish, I would say that the soup could have a little more flavor. There wasnt enough noodles, but we did have a lot of beef and soup left, so I would recommend ordering an extra plate of noodles (maybe even something different!) so you can have enough noodle to complement the beef and soup.We also ordered the beef wrap - I remember the visit before, I had griped that they put too much melon into the wrap. But this time, even though there was a substantial amount of cucumber, it didnt detract from the beef or the sweet barbecue sauce! And the skin was crispy! I really liked that there was melon inside because it gave the wrap a sweetness that most other restaurants dont have. I think there were five total wraps ... we could only finish two!tl;dr - Overall, great lunch. Prices werent too costly - we paid a little under $20 for two people. The service was okay. I think the restaurant has a new owner (seems like a family business), which is nice since its always great to support family owned businesses! Good amount of air conditioning on a great day! I would definitely come here again ... the beef noodle soup beat Bull Demon King in my opinion.
Their lamb noodle soup was one of the best noodle dish I have ever eaten. It still haunts my dream. Ill be traveling to LA this weekend, and will definitely stop by again for that delicious delicious dish.
We LOVED this restaurant!. Everything was great, as good as any Chinese food Ive eaten with the possible exception of a few restaurants in Shanghai and Beijing. The shrimp and pork dumplings were amazing, the soup was savory, and the noodle dishes. No regrets dining at its best!

Homey, inexpensive, and their homemade chili sauce is amazing. 10x better than lao gan ma - 10x as spicy, too.Ordered the vegetarian zha jiang mian - looked underwhelming (too much cucumber and cilantro) until I mixed it and found heaven. It was almost too savory at first bite, but then the garlic and some sort of vinegar comes in and rounds out the mellows it out. Add the chili sauce for a deep complexity to your meal.... just try it.

I ordered a couples lung slices and a box of minced beef. They said that this has been the case since they opened the store. The beef is not good. It was a pile of leftover minced beef. It was not touched and they were not refunded or exchanged (this was only after eating for a while). The photo shows it was all minced beef), and he also said that I have never seen husband and wife lung slices made just like this. The noodles are not only salty but not fragrant, and the beef is so braised that it is too chewy. Why do people still come to this junk shop?Do you know if you get 5-star reviews? I have eaten at this store for many years, and I really like their beef burritos, a lot of beef coriander and cucumber shreds, the fruit is very thick, the skin is crispy and fragrant, especially the lamb braised noodles are super authentic, I am an authentic Authentic Henan people, this is one of the most authentic mutton stewed noodles I have ever eaten. I also have many fellow villagers who came here from Chino to eat this lamb stew. Very recommendable.

The dumplings are delicious and the skin is chewy. The beef noodle soup has enough flavors, but the beef is a little too thin. It would be better to have more gluten. Many people eat mutton noodles. It looks good.

2020-07-18 00:46:20My wife and I have been here twice since since the COVID pandemic started. We were looking for new places to try and stumbled across this hole-in-wall place. Both times the service was quick and the food was delicious. This is a local mom and pop restaurant with reasonable prices and large portions. We order the lamb soup noodles, tomato egg flat noodles, and the beef roll. The lamb soup noodle is packed with ingredients, very flavorful without being to salty. However, I think it would have been better if they gave us more soup - maybe the there was just too much ingredients. My favorite dish was the tomato egg noodles. The noodles (flat, wide noodles) had just the right amount of chewy (QQ) texture and hold very well with the sauce. It was a bit sweet and tangy. The cucumbers added a refreshing contrast to the dish. Its a very simple dish yet very comforting. My wife really liked the beef roll - nothing special, just delicious. We really hope they can get more support during this difficult time. Cash only, parking available in a shared parking lot.

Theyre cooked perfectly, have an excellent texture, and whole dish is overall enjoyable. Its a simple dish with pleasant flavors.Overall, while the knife cut noodles were enjoyable I dont think its worth driving out here just to eat them. With the rest of the menu being forgettable you wont miss a beat skipping this place.

2021-07-24 23:54:22Walked by here so many times without really ever paying attention, but decided to try on a whim (also after reading owners snarky reply to a review). As many other reviews have noted, portions are pretty impressive, and there really is no sense of skimping on any ingredients (really the opposite). All dishes we tried were pretty phenomenal, with classically strong and distinct flavors. Definitely worth a shot if youre looking for a little place to support in COVID times.

I came with friends because this place was in LA Weekly magazine as the second best place for authentic Chinese noodles and this place does not disappoint. Everything was delish, beef hand noodles, beef fried rice, egg roll the size of a burrito, dry mix fried egg with tomato noodles, seriously its worth the drive for the experience. After everything then we get the bill, and its very reasonable pricing and worth every penny.
