Food is great with large portion. We like wonton soup, sesame chicken, fried rice and tofu. Each dish is around$ 10-12, very affordable. The place is full of people and only down side is not enough manpower, you need to wait a bit long for your meal. Will definitely visit again if come to Desert Hot Spring.

This is my Hubbys Favorite place to eat in the desert. We drive to Desert Hot springs just to eat here. The staff are always so friendly and work hard to get your food out fast. The food is always delicious, were so glad your back open!

I’ve been coming to this place for YEARS. It was the best Chinese Restaurant in the Coachella Valley - I drove here even when I lived in Palm Springs and now Cathedral City. This is my last ride up the hill, at least for Chinese Food.I tried this place 3 times since the new owners took it over. Third time is not the charm. I really wanted to love this place, but no one loves bad food. The best business decision they made was to raise the price. The old food warranted it. The new food doesn’t.We’ve tried different dishes. Tonight we had Mongolian Chicken and Chicken Curry in the dinner combo and a small Egg Drop Soup. The soup was fair and the appetizers were ok. The fried and steamed rice both tasted old (the fried rice was nothing more than white rice dashed with soy sauce). Both main dishes had the same problem - a lot of onions and peppers, not an appropriate amount of meat and tasted overwhelmingly of onions and like it was thrown together in a way that didn’t give it any good flavor.I sincerely wish the new owners luck, but I really won’t be back. From the looks of the empty restaurant and lack of the to go order line out the door, like it used to be, I don’t think I’m the only one.

Reviews are outdated. The food tastes old. The fried rice tasted like it had been sitting out too long. The chicken was stringy and slimy. The egg drop soup tasted like straight egg whites. Not to mention the entire building smells like pee and the carpets and tables are sticky. Tried to not judge a book by its cover but this was disgusting.

I was craving Chinese and as this was the highest rated place nearby I decided to give it a try even though it seems people feel it has gone down hill since it changed hands. My food took ten minutes and the lady who served me was very friendly and helpful. She even brought my take out to the car without my asking. The food itself was just fine though. I ordered the beef with mushroom and fried rice. The fried rice was brown rice which was unexpected and personally wasn’t to my taste. The beef had loads of vegetables but wasn’t very tasty. The portion was pretty big though. I didn’t dislike my meal but didn’t really enjoy it either.

Nice size portions for a fair price. Super friendly service. Food is ok. If you are a neat freak or not a fan of clutter, I would recommend sending someone else to pick up your order.

I had to change from five stars to one star!!!The original owners were doing a pretty decent job - minus the dusting and vacuuming. The new owners?Awwww geez… I ordered my usual, and it STOPPED coming with the soup and other extras. The container was smaller, the chicken was as if had been soaking in water overnight and then slightly warmed up.So, I’ve been out here two years and everything I’m used to in the Inland Empire is far superior to any food out here. I’m never spending another dime here… the benefits will be immediate. My sodium intake will go down and my money will find a better value elsewhere. With the new owners cost-cutting, I had to cost cut them. Good luck to them, as I hope they make improvements if they are reading reviews. For those who know where a good alternative is… please let us know.*Someone said the original cook had personal issues, that resulted in him not being able to work there any longer. I’m not sure if that’s true but IT IS CLEARLY OBVIOUS that supplier/kitchen techniques had changed. Anyone having eaten here, under prior ownership, will have no doubt that there is an obvious difference.

Whenever I go visit my mom in the desert, we tend to order from this place. Tonight the food was disappointing as the flavor was not there and it seemed like its all fluff with onions and bell peppers. I either wonder if the cook does not have taste buds, cook got changed, or something else. What happen to you?

I love good Chinese food. Today we had the Kung pao chicken lunch special today. Great portions, but the taste was a bit bland. Cud have used more spices and seasoning to give it a better flavor. Overall, not to bad, though I have had much better.
