Kanaloa Seafood in Oxnard

Actually my wife Yelped the place while waiting at the costco car wash.Make sure you call and check the restaurant hours to make sure the kitchen is still open.We arrived when the kitchen was closing, but got in on time.We had the recommended Korea Salmon Tacos and Original Fish Tacos, both Amazing!We also got the ceviche with chips and fries, also great!We would definitely come back!

I had the fish and chips and it was ok, white flaky fish that wasnt tough or fishy tasting but has a strange sweet kind of taste. So I asked what kind of fish it was I was told it was SWAI.Now I know why it tasted weird, Swai is a bottom dwelling trash feeder and Its one of the cheapest white flaky fishes you can find.I dont understand why a local fresh fish restaurant would be selling this farm raised junk when theres plenty of fresh local fish that people would love to eat. The SWAI left a Nasty taste that wouldnt go away!And apparently there is no other choice for their fish and chips.My other problem was the smell of the place, both inside and out!And I know that kind of comes with the territory but maybe theres something that can be done like better ventilation on the inside. Just saying.If Youre looking for some decent fish and chips you may want to just go to Andreas, they have three or four different kinds of local fresh fish and chips on the menu and theyre all good.

Oh boy, us here in Oxnard are Blessed with Businesses like Kanaloa Seafood. My Ahi Poke Bowl is delicious!! So delicious I’m still eating it while doing this review. This place is hidden near the commercial buildings. I’m looking forward to returning not only for the restaurant but for the fresh seafood 🦞🐠 🍤🦐🐙🎣.Thank you for my EPIC Lunch!!! 🥇🏆🥇

The Korean salmon tacos, swordfish jerk tacos and the fried fish tacos are amazing!Also, tried the po boy shrimp sandwich and that was really good too.This find is a gem and if you like seafood, I highly recommend them. Their fish is fresh and the tacos are simply outstanding.

I think she said her name was Tonya, but she was amazingly passionate about the company and her work. She was so knowledgeable and really sold us on the sustainable and ecologically friendly products. Her customer service was impeccable. She even called the Santa Barbara location to ask if shipping was possible to our state.Obviously our poké bowl and tacos were amazing. All the ingredients are fresh and guilt-free. Well definitely be giving Kanaloa our business from now on.

Wow! the fish tacos were amazing!!! Im so mad I didnt get three of them... Or more. Next time Ill try the swordfish tacos. They also have a huge menu you should definitely go out of your way for this place. You will not be disappointed.

Best seafood tacos I’ve ever had. The crispy fish tacos are good if you’re some one who is afraid of spice however the Korean fish tacos are fantastic if you enjoy spice. I inhaled them an wasn’t able to take a proper picture. I would recommend the crispy fish tacos or korean tacos as way better than the swordfish or poke

What a hidden gem! Loved my poke bowl and the quality of the ingredients. My husband was blown away by the chicken club (he’s not a huge seafood fan) and the showstopping chips!Friendly service with outdoor seating options. We found our new pit stop between LA and Santa Barbara!

Went here on a business trip thanks to good reviews online. The clam chowder was pretty good, but the Korean salmon tacos were absolutely fantastic. The staff recommended them, and I can see why. Despite being on the other side of the country, I still think about going back. They were that good.

The fish is fresh, authentic and tastes great but the quantity for the money is very less.I would like the restaurant to not advertise small dishes just because they are cheap, just stick to having full meals with their actually heavy prices.
