Hubby and I had dinner here last night with a friend. We had potstickers & baby octopus appetizers, Miso and Black Garlic Oil Ramen and Beef Teriyaki. All were very tasty. Would definitely go again. The woman taking care of customers was a little slow in taking our order and later in bringing the check as well as taking payment. But the food came out quickly, it was quite yummy and generous servings. We recommend you give it a try!!
This place has great ramen form reg ramen to making it spicy if you want some spice in ur ramen. Broth is delicious, it has lots flavor and the the noodles are perfectly cooked absorbing all that delicious broth. The pork is cooked to perfection is soft and has enough flavor to not make it all come together. The gyoza is not overly soft or crunchy, it has lots of flavor.
Good ramen !!! Broth was juicy and not very greasy . Meat also decent made . Great prices ! The ambience was neat and clean . And the lady was super nice and helpful . 5 stars for overall experience ! Will definetly come again
The black garlic ramen is delicious! Also, the squid ink ramen was excellent - rich and flavorful but not too spicy (I got spicy, 3 out of 4).Also the chicken karaage was perfect!
Everything was good. The broth was exquisite, the noodles cooked perfectly, all the skewers were excellent, and the squid was a standout dish.
Specialist ramen shops are always the best. They put a lot of effort into a single type of food and that means they do it really well.They have lots of styles of ramen and I will probably be back to try some more.I went classic with Tonkotsu and Miso ramen. Always a good gauge to test out a new place.Toppings were delicious. The egg was perfectly medium boiled so the yolk stays together but can still be mixed into the soup to make it richer. Medium spicy was perfectly medium spicy.I would definitely recommend trying it out.
They have the most delicious Ramens! Also service is great. We got a milk tea that was very delicious too. Highly recommend this place.

The food here is amazing. I loved tonkotsu and miso ramen. Especially the chicken. The service here is fantastic. Clean bathroom and clean restaurant. Will be coming back.
Ordered the vegan ramen (mushroom based broth, some sort of vegetable ramen noodles [NOT ZOODLES OR SQUASH NOODLES]), grilled squid, and bacon wrapped sausage. Very flavorful food, decent prices, and good portioning.
Hidden gem. Hands down best ramen in San Leandro- we ordered the extra spicy and loved it, and portions were enough for lunch leftovers. The gyoza were perfectly seared. Will absolutely return to try all the ramen flavors.

I expected more from this place based on the reviews.The tonkotsu ramen was very mediocre and disappointing - the broth had no flavor, the ramen noodles were so-so, and the ramen egg was overcooked.On a more positive note, the waitress was friendly.I personally would not come back here even if I had a ramen craving. There are approximately over 100 Ramen eatery/restaurants in Bay Area (Sonoma County, Marin County, San Francisco, Eastbay and Southbay).After reviewing, Kanda Ramen with 4.7 rated so we decided to try out this place on Saturday at 12:30pm. Out of dozen different ramen menus, we ordered shoyu ramen which are most favorite ramen in Kanto Region (Yokohama and Tokyo area) in Japan. Make a long story short, presentation of toppings 2-stars, taste of soup 1-star, temperature of soup not hot enough and not clear and noodles are too thick and over cooked, only good quality was friendly waitress (she might be the owner) services, 5-stars.Out of over 100 Ramen eatery/restaurants, every single eateries are owned, operated and prepared by Non-Japanese so do not expect good quality ramen in Northern California (save money and eat a Nissins cup noodles instead) !!!!!Have suggestions; make a ramen taste so that Japanese would like it, not Americans taste. Secondly minimize ramen menus, (1) Shoyu Ramen, (2) Chashu Ramen, (3) Miso Ramen, (4) Shio Ramen and (5) Tantan-men.Eastern Japanese (Tokyo/Yokohama area) people doesnt care much for tonkotsu style ramen which are originated in Southwest Japan (Kyushu area). Lastly, noodles to be thinner egg (yellowish color) noodles cooked not too soft or not too hard and soup broth to be clear and tasteful (no fishy taste).
I absolutely love this place! I got the Shoyu ramen and the honey pomelo tea, and both were delicious! The atmosphere is comfy, everything is clean, the pricing is good, and its overall a very good experience.
Yes Yes Yes for ramen! finally a place that not only has the flavor profile I was looking for, but also they dont skimp on the pork slices! Love it! Glad I can go somewhere close to home for some good ramen. Oakland can be kind of a food desert and no one is going to the peninsula when you have this place so close! Only side note, the noodles, a little thicker than I usually like, but doesnt make a giant issue. Everything else is on point! Perfect spice on the medium spicy as well. Ordering to to go is even great! Thank you for existing haha! Five stars so you never dissappear. I need my good ramen fix every few weeks. So Im super excited you are so close! Customer for life!
I have ate at most of the well-known ramen restaurants in the East Bay and this restaurant tops all of them! The pork is amazingly seasoned, the broth is full of flavor, and the soy sauce eggs are delicious. Best ramen in the East Bay hands down!
Ive had a lot of good ramen around the Bay Area, and Kanda is definitely up there with them. My wife and I had the vegan ramen and my in-laws had the tonkatsu and the black garlic. Everyone was impressed at the flavorfulness of their dishes. The broth had good flavor and complexity, and the noodles had good flavor and texture. The eggs were cooked well and seasoned nicely. I would have preferred the noodles to have a little more tooth to them, and the broth to have been served a little hotter, but otherwise no complaints. The service was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We had our toddler with us and they were happily accommodating. Really excited to have this place in town!

This is not an authentic Japanese food. The miso ramen was do bland. It needs moresalt & pepper and miso. The karaage did not taste like karaage.
Good ramen and beats driving around for other ramen spots
Excellent, especially the BBQ sticks. We used to go to a Night Market in Cleveland where theyd grill and serve them up fresh - these were just as good and bring back happy memories. We split a bowl of ramen and two sticks been two people and it was the perfect amount.Also, saved a pile of money by picking up instead of using GrubHub.
First time here and loved it! Excellent food, friendly staff, and very clean place. On her free time, staff was disinfecting their menu book page by page! I’ll definitely come back when in the area again.
A very pleasant surprise in this out of the way place. I had the Korean rib plate with steamed cabbage, so surprising and so good.

2023-07-21 19:38:09Edit: This is my FAVORITE Bay Area Ramen Restaurant. Hands down.Delicious ramen for a great price. I didnt know this at first you can choose your ramens spice level! It will be normal if you dont specify but if you do you can get spicy and extra spicy. Very happy with their food and drinks! The ice tea is a little weird because you put the sugar in yourself, but I actually like that so you can decide. Just note its iced tea not sweet tea (was my mistake). And I loved the lighting and decor. Very calm :)

The choices of all the BBQ and fried foods here is endless. The menu is literally a book because they have so much to offer! They serve beer and sake here as well. My favorite ramen here is the squid ink ramen so far. I havent tried them all yet lol If youre looking for a low key, chill spot with great food... This place is it! 😎🤙🏼

2023-06-09 01:58:21I have been looking for a ramen place near the Hayward/San Leandro area and this has been the best ramen place so far! I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and spam musubis. The broth of the ramen was so good and they made it perfectly spicy for me. The spam musubis were crispy perfection. Cute place, nice atmosphere, I will definitely come back!

Their servings are large--we shared a (medium spicy--next time I would get mildly spicy), Spicy Seafood Ramen. Their Saki was only $4.95.Wheelchair accessible.

2022-05-03 05:42:24The spicy tonkotsu ramen was the best weve had so far in the Bay Area. The grilled whole squid was simple but perfectly cooked. The fried oysters were delicately crunchy and gave a delicious briny pop when biting into them. The chicken gizzard, chicken, and beef skewers were full of flavor and perfectly cooked despite their no frills presentation. The service was just about as friendly as you can get. Reminds me of a yakitori place in Tokyo that my Japanese friend once took me to that I still remember fondly many years later. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Out of 20+ local Japanese restaurants in 6 weeks, this place is in the top 3. We are already planning to go back.

We arrived at 3:15pm and were seated immediately.We ordered chicken karaage, black garlic ramen, and fish katsu rice- chicken karaage: pretty good. The big pieces were crispy but could use more seasoning. The mayo dipping sauce was good.- black garlic ramen: decent good ramen. The black garlic flavor was noticeable but could be a bit stronger. The broth was good and rich. The noodle was firm. The chasu pieces were delicious & the eggs were cooked perfectly.- fish katsu rice: fish pieces were crispy and good. Portion was big even for my hubby.Overall, the food was good.

Had dim lighting, Ambient elevator type music was playing when I visited. Very outdated looking menus; it looked and felt like a small book with large pages. The photos on the menu and on the outside window did not make the food look appealing, needs updating.
