Kansai Concord in Concord

Very friendly service, the waitress was so nice and attentive, and kept coming back to check on us. Were all happy with our food. The food was tasty and the fish was fresh. The portion was generous and the price was quite reasonable. Its definitely one of the best Japanese restaurant in Concord. Well surely come back. As a added bonus, they open until.11:30pm.

The service is always great and the staff are always welcoming. The sushi rolls here are the best in the East bay, less rice with more fish and filling. No one can do it like this place! I enjoy the happy hour specials. I recommend the John, Katie 2, and Lion king rolls.

The vegetarian sushi was not great. First time seeing my sushi cut this way, what you see is what we left behind.

I went there on Thursday after my wife had an appointment with the surgeon she is having a surgery and we had lunch it was the most fresh delicious food the California rolls are the best around my wife got the salmon bento box and quality was Unreal the tempura was Awesome everything was great the water had a little slice of lime in it the service was perfect people are super nice the atmosphere is great. It was a good ending to a not so good day thank you cant wait to go again

Best customer service I have ever found in Concord. Very polite and helpful. The food and portion and price wise was excellent. I cant believe I didnt try this earlier. I would recommend to all my friends and family to go here. I was not disappointed at all. I will definitely be back.

Plenty of people were there but not super loud that you couldnt hear others. The service was excellent and the food was great. I tried the special, the flaming dragon. It was literally on fire. Kansai is added to my favorites.

Ive been coming here since they opened. Not once have I ever had a bad experience or found the food or service lacking. Theyve honestly only gotten better since the beginning. Love that they are open fairly late some days. Had a lovely table for 1 last night and enjoyed every second. Will be back, as usual.

I went 08/13/2023, I’m very disappointed by the outcome. It was my best friend’s boyfriend’s birthday, he was extremely excited to finally turn 22. We wasn’t expecting for all us to receive a birthday present - food poisoning. Our “ in and out “ roll tasted NOTHING like the iconic American staple hamburger . All four will not be returning .

Kansai is probably one of the best places to get Japanese near Concord, they have good sushi and good entrees with larger portions. The price has gone up a bit over the years, but its still worth it and the quality shows this.Ive never left Kansai unhappy :)

Ordered food here for the first time and we had the Bento box with Katsu chicken and we also ordered two orders of sushi one was the fried tempura roll and the other was the spicy tuna. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely awful. Fish was not fresh in the slightest and the sushi rolls had so much rice on them, with barely any fish whatsoever, the tuna was extremely mushy, as for the Bento box, the chicken teriyaki was smothered in so much sauce that had very little flavor and was very rubbery in texture. The Katsu chicken was deep-fried and extremely bland. I would not eat here again! I think the quality of the food is poor and I don’t think anything that we ordered was fresh or prepared properly.Some of the cucumber that was in the fried tempura roll, tasted dirty, as if it had not been washed. Very poor quality and food handling.
