2024-06-04 01:08:14Everything was delicious! Tried the curry pork katsu, wang don katsu, curry udon, takoyaki, and soba noodles.Really glad theres a katsu place in the area. The wang don katsu sauce is very unique and tangy. Its really good. Service was exceptional and everyone was nice and friendly. The interior design of the restaurant was authentic and pleasing. It paired very well with the overall ambiance.Perfect place to hang out and eat delicious food.

2024-05-27 22:18:29Our family visited this place last Sunday. I really love wang donkatsu, and I was surprised by how big and thick their wang donkatsu was. Of course, it was delicious. The cheese katsu had a perfect balance of meat and cheese. We also tried the gyu katsu and udon combo, which was fun to grill ourselves. I’m so happy this place opened close to our home, and I’m sure we’ll be visiting often.

2024-06-23 14:20:38Food was good only when they were just opened. I visited this place 3 times. From those experiences, only the first time was good and getting worst. I visited last weekend and ordered dontatsu, but wasnt eatable condition.. the skins separate from meat & foods was too oily. I will not go this place again.

2024-06-21 00:13:33Possibly the best pork katsu I have ever had, anywhere! Tender, juicy, lightly herbed and with almost magical panko breading that stayed crisp despite me dumping curry sauce all over it. Came with a good amount of tasty house-made sides and fluffy rice. We also ordered the cheese corn, which was the perfect sweet and savory combination.Delightfully friendly atmosphere too, a real treat. Cant wait to come back and try their izakiya and yakiniku selections.

2024-06-17 01:39:40Get Bento, buddy!Occupying the former location of a shabu shabu restaurant, Katsumura is a Korean katsu restaurant, specializing in gyu katsu. Yakiniku is available after 4pm, as well.Pork katsu bento lunch special-Choice of pork, chicken or shrimp, with rice, salad, macaroni salad, seaweed salad, gyoza, takoyaki & miso soup. A generous amount of food, yet not heavy in the tummy, Katsumuras pork katsu bento lunch special provided a bit of everything. The breaded pork cutlets were cooked a tad too well done for my liking, but still good. The takoyaki tasted great, but sauced thoroughly which made them soggy. The bento provided an ample amount of food for a very great price.Service was great. A gentleman, whom I believe is the owner, greeted everyone and checked on each table during visit. Ample seating inside, the restaurant kept the shabu shabu hooded vents on the ceiling. A woodsy, rustic motif prevails throughout, adding to the ambiance. Parking is at the busy Artesia City Plaza. Katsumura is located in-between BCD & Gerrys Grill.Welcome to the neighborhood, Katsumura! A fine lunch was had & Im looking forward to experiencing their gyu katsu & yakiniku in the very near future. Great food, friendly service & a welcoming environment, I plan to be a regular patron going forward.

2024-05-26 21:34:09This place newly opened a few days ago and had it for lunch with my husband today.Their gyu katsu was so good! Transported me back to Japan. They also had Terra Beer which is our favorite Korean beer. They have yakiniku for dinner and we’ll definitely be coming back to try that next. The server SeoJeong and owner Andy were so caring and hospitable. A restaurant I’ll definitely be returning to support 🙂
