We contacted KC Home Services because had a leaky pipe that ended up being outside the house underground and had a couple faucets that were leaking and needed to be replaced as well. We are fairly new in town and did not have a plumber to call so selected KC Home Services based on their good reviews, and the service did not disappoint! The office staff and plumber were friendly and pleasant to work with and they had a very effective system to manage appointments and let you know when your plumber was on the way via text. I appreciated the added security that they sent a photo of the plumber who was coming to your house along with the text. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner at a reasonable cost. We will definitely use KC Home Services for all our future plumbing needs!

I had Jake (Langston Plumbing) come out and he and Don from KC Home Services were here at the same time, Don got here first and he diagnosed my problem, a valve that was not all the way on (when I flushed the toilet the most god awful loud banging sound occurred), fixed it and no charge! Jake agreed with him that this is what it likely was but if it happens again to call him, or Don at KC. It was embarrassing for ME to have them both here at the same time, LOL, but they actually knew each other and had a good talk so I felt like maybe I did my good deed for the day. And BTW I got the same feeling from both of them, trustworthy! So you cant go wrong with either outfit. Thanks to both of them!

When I first read the reviews, I thought KC Home Services must have some review writers in China on staff. But I have to say, I dont think that anymore. What an example of professionalism these people are. From Travis coming out to walk me through all the possibilities, to Virginia responding immediately to all my questions, to the crew (Travis, Will and Conner) coming out for the install...these guys were a class act. Every time they needed to get down on the floor they put a protective carpet so they didnt scratch the hardwood. Theyve actually left my house cleaner than when they started.I was prepared for a two day install for my new tankless water heater and whole house water filtration system. But instead, they showed up early and stayed late.KCHS could write a book on how to run a successful business. Five Stars across the board!

Well, first off, shout out to Virgina who answered a message at 12am in the morning. To be honest, thats something you rarely see. Second, I had Finn come out the following morning to confirm that my water heater was at its end. He was cautious and very courteous about the process. He didnt want to push a new water heater on my right off the bat, but I knew it was time.Finn got the water heater swapped out and put in all kinds of new fittings to be up to code. (They ran a permit which costs more but I like that the work being done is legit) Unfortunately with my luck, this new unit was defective. We had issues with it that caused PG&E to come out. All the while Finn was apologizing for something out of his control.They went ahead and got another unit out to the house within hours and its up and running. Finn is probably sore from the cramped space that he had to work in, but I sure am grateful for his hard work on the job. He was neat and clean and always answered my questions. Its important to educate yourself as a homeowner about these things and I enjoyed learning. Thank you all at KC home services who helped me and supported Finn. Ill be using you for my plumbing/heating and air needs in the future.Happy New year!

These guys are absolutely, positively wonderful. Their whole staff is amazingly friendly and honest. They responded really quickly to my service request, and accurately predicted how much time they would need. They communicate clearly via phone, email, and text, letting me know who was coming out and when. I never felt like I was getting the wool pulled over my eyes, even when I found out the repair I needed (to my swamp cooler) was worse than expected. They gave me multiple options, but I never felt pressured. Virginia is super sweet and a great communicator, and Kevin went out of his way to work with me so that I could afford this vital repair. Victor came out today and was consummately professional and friendly. He answered every question I had, and made sure I knew I could contact them later if I thought of something. They were very respectful of my need to keep the doors closed as much as possible due to skittish cats. They took great care to keep my carpets clean (with booties), and although there was a little bit of expected debris from the job, they brought in a shopvac and cleaned the hallway thoroughly. Our new swamp cooler is working very well, thankfully! I am so grateful to K C Home Services and their team!! I know I will call them again in the future if I need any kind of service that they provide, and Im recommending them to my friends and family.I forgot to mention that their use of photography and video was SUPER helpful in making my decisions, and reinforcing how honest they are. Im attaching a before and after picture of the old swamp cooler and the new one. Its like night and day! And you can see, too, how they even cleaned up my roof! These folks rock!UPDATE 11/22/2023 -- we just had KC out to repair our heater. Marvin was prompt, friendly, and professional. He answered all of my questions, and explained what wasnt working and why (and also, what was working normally). He diagnosed the issue quickly, and was able to find the needed part nearby. Within two hours, I went from no heat to a toasty home. The office team at KC had gotten us scheduled within 24hrs (I said it was NOT an emergency), and they were great communicators the whole time. I will always choose KC for our heating/cooling/plumbing needs!

After contacting KC, they scheduled a service technician to come out the next day. Our furnace, zone controller, and thermostats were replaced within 3-days start to finish. They were honest about our options, communicated exceptionally, and did a fantastic, and clean install. I will definitely consider giving KC a call for any future HVAC related work.

KC is locally family owned business. The estimate from Brooks was detailed and fair.The installation was done by Victor and Brandon. They were great! Both arrive on time, well dressed, polite, very knowledgeable and always respectful to wear shoe covers inside to protect my white hardwood floors.After installing the A/C they took time to explain every how the operate the unit, and warranty. They cleaned all areas and vacuumed.The electrician Dustin Johnson was amazing! He too was extremely knowledgeable, respectful and competent.The office staff Virginia was fabulous! When our furnace died on Dec 26th KC Home Services was one of the only places that was open due to the holidays. They responded right away! We decided to go ahead and replace the furnace with a new heat pump and new ducting. Our project was rather large (bad crawlspace, sump pump needed, rainstorms ensued) but they powered through and got us all set up. They were friendly, communicative, always on time, and knowledgeable. We are satisfied with their services.

Brooks just left our house. Fast and very good attention to detail. He noticed that one of the ducts was disconnected and quickly fixed. He also had a good wit. Made it very pleasant to work with him. Although we need to replace our furnace he wasnt heavy on the upsell. They will be sending us a quote on the upgrade. Morgan (Mo), Rick, and Chris who were our installers were very professional and knowledgeable on the new heat pump system that was installed after the removal of our old gas furnace units and AC. Their attention to the little finishing details was very much appreciated. They were always respectful of our home. Each day they vacuumed and cleaned up the area and arrived promptly each morning.Mike built a beautiful custom metal rack for the units to sit on.Brooks was very helpful in guiding us through the decision making process after our AC died and actually was able to come out immediately after we called.This was a 2nd very large job done by KC Home Services for us. After getting quotes from 6 companies I determined KC home services was the one to go with and I’m glad I did! They were priced well and very professional. Virginia was a lifeline, really pushing to get my permit through the permit office in a timely manner, she kept me updated on the whole process, and I was able to get my AC installed before an impending heat wave. Jonathan, Rick, Moe, and Chris did great job installing the AC unit, they were very hard workers and were able to get the job done in one day despite any obstacles my home threw at them. Another company installed my ducts, but the guys at KC Home Services noticed they weren’t sealed and took care of it. The finished AC install looked great, very professional looking. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with them, hire these guys!

I cant say enough about this wonderful family company and how helpful they have been for us. We needed to replace an old heat pump and they managed to come up with a solution that cost less than another firms bid, even though the KC bid included upgrading all the relevant duct work (which really needed to be done). All of the people who worked on this job were professional, efficient and dedicated to the task.Virginia in the office is so helpful, and got us additional helpers for some plumbing and electrical work that surfaced during the job. They also have an impressive customer information system that emails you the name and picture of the technician coming to the house, so you dont have to let anyone in that you dont recognize.We are so grateful to have found this wonderful service provider.

He troubleshot the system but ultimately recommended replacement based on the age of the system (20 years old) and the likelihood that it would continue to deteriorate and cost additional money.He was prompt, courteous, professional, and assisted us through multiple quotes u til we got the system we wanted.The I stall team comprised of Brandon and Chris. However, this last time they came to ignite the water heater, the tech did not know how yo do it. We ended up calling the manufacturer, followed guided instructions and, took care of it ourselves. Michael had my furnace up and running in about 5 minutes. He was very knowledgeable friendly great sense of humor and empathy as Id been without heat for a month as the other company I had asked to come out really did not take care of my situation and totally misdiagnosed the problem. Meeting with Brooks was great. Found out that my heater 33 yr old still works. Nothing wrong with it other than it being old and should be replaced in the near future with one that is more efficient. Brooks was personable, a good communicator, and outlined clearly the different options I would have to choose from have for replacing the heater and potentially adding air-conditioning in the future. We also discussed my options for replacing the hot water heater, including going the tankless route. A received a lot of clear information to consider upcoming improvements, which gives me the lay of the land moving forward. Thankful!

One of my vents didnt seem to work lately so I called for service late on a Friday. I was scheduled for the very next Tuesday. Michael G came, checked it out, went under the house, and redid all the connections for that vent. All my other vents were fine. This was a recent development, and there didnt seem to be a reason for the issue, but now there are no leaks, I have heat from that vent, and I know I can count on KC Services to take care of me. Previous experience in Santa Rosa has taught us that it’s difficult to find quick and efficient service in the area.Since it was the coldest week of the year, we were anxious to get started. I contacted KC Home Services and they had been booked out about 3 days - we had no heat coming from our heater. I was booked for a time between 2-4 on a Thursday, at 1pm they texted stating they would not make it and would need to reschedule to the following week. I tried to reschedule and got no response from them it is now Tuesday of the following week. Still no heat and still no response from KC Home Services. I would recommend contacting someone else if you need help. Such a bummer.

After more than 2 months of issues, Finn and Will from KC Home Services fixed our malfunctioning dryer. We’d previously had the dryer vent cleaned, but somehow a lot of old, wet lint was still stuck along the bottom of the vent pipe and was missed. They opened the vent in the middle and sent a camera exploring up and down the vent. They used a more specialized snake than would normally be used for a dryer vent and removed the hard-packed lint. Now the dryer works like new! I highly recommend KC Home Services for their clear communication, punctuality, polite and innovative staff, reasonable prices, and use of technology to make working with them super easy and convenient. This was the initial bid for a ducted heat pump installation. Brooks, the rep, inspected our existing system, and explained how the heat pump would be configured. He wrote up two bids, one for each brand. The only reason it wasnt five stars is the appointment window was 10-12, and I received no message until after 12pm, then he showed up around 12:45pm.

I ended up having issues on my end prevent me from following through, but I was super happy with KC Home Services showing up exactly on time, giving me all the different kinds of scenario bids I needed, and showing me photos of similar jobs to mine so that I could see what they were talking about and how clean their work is. I consulted them for a major plumbing repair on a commercial property, which we ended up having to hire a larger scale contractor for, because it went way beyond plumbing. And also for an HVAC & upgraded electrical panel at home, which we will probably have them do as soon as Im not overwhelmed with the commercial property project anymore. They are clear and direct in their communication, and it is easy to see where the costs are on their bids.

**EDIT - though I was very pleased with the service I received, I am not familiar with plumbing costs and was in a somewhat urgent situation. Needing the work done right away, I agreed to their cost. Out of curiosity, I requested an itemized invoice after, just so I could see how the total cost was reached. They have repeatedly promised to provide this, but I just made my 5th request and have not received anything. I dont know what else to think except that they did in fact over charge me. Or that they dont care about customer requests after they have been paid. Either way, buyer beware.Finn and Will were amazing, as was Virginia in the office. Wow! KC home services has the best customer service in all of Sonoma county! I have worked with many plumbing services and have not gotten the care as I had from them. I needed my toilet repaired (its the only one in the house so an emergency) and because they couldnt see me right away, Virginia was able to find me another plumber to see me sooner!!! I had a valve start leaking on my tankless water heater, but they are only sold in pairs (hot/cold)... Makes sense to me except I dont need both valves, so Finn only charged me half of the quote (I guess they had to write it up as installing 2 since theyre sold as 2) and said hed keep the extra one in case someone else had the same problem. They were back the next day with the parts, did a great job on the install (looks very clean), and even added pipe insulation that was not there previously. Very friendly and professional. Brook came to inspect why the gas valve failed to shut when the furnace shut off. He measured with a meter 4 PPM of carbon monoxide then informed me a bit later there was 11 PPM of carbon monoxide, then informed me this was not safe, there must be a crack in the furnace and the whole thing should go. I had PG and E come give a safety inspection. No crack, no soot, no measure of carbon monoxide at all. Third opinion, no crack, no soot, no evidence. Two weeks without heat due to Brooks concerns in December. Thanks.

I wanted to use this company to reinstall a mini split system that I had purchased and had installed in a modular home when it was built in our factory. The mini split system cost about $12,000 for all the equipment and the installation and the hook up and the testing. I asked this company for an estimate of what it would cost to just hook the equipment back up because it had to be disconnected after traveling. They said they couldn’t give it to me and I had to wait until their technician came out. Long story short the technician came out and gave me a bid for almost $5000 just to hook the system back up again. We’ve had this same thing done in other installations and I know it takes about 3 to 4 hours to do. And I asked the technician to explain what could possibly justify $1200 an hour to hook the system back up. He gave me some hubba Dubba about flashing around the line set and this and that . I asked him if he thought he was talking to the owner, because I was a contractor and I knew better. They call my customer and billed her the full amount ahead of time, after I had called the office to tell them that I thought the quote was ridiculous. Now I’m getting emails two or three times a day asking me what I thought of their service. So here it is. If they had been able to give me any sort of estimate ahead of time, which they refused to do, I would’ve looked for another company. I certainly should have. I can’t tell you if they do good work, but what I had to do was really simple and any HVAC company could have done it. To charge 40% of the cost of a whole system to just hook it back up is ridiculous. Not sure if they’re trying to justify these kind of prices due to Covid or supply chain or what, but I’m in the San Francisco Bay area and I don’t pay anywhere near this much for the services from my vendors.

Was having an issue with the system fan constantly running at the low stage. There was a technician who looked at the system a couple months back, but the issue persisted. They sent Michael G out to check the system. After explaining just what was happening, he began checking the system. Turned on the AC and noted that what Id said was indeed happening. After checking the thermostat, he went to the garage to check out the main unit. He took readings on the main board, then went to the main control box for the duo system. As he went to take a reading, as soon as he touched the probe to a connector, the fan immediately jumped to a higher speed. When he removed the probe, the wire fell out of its connector. Took less than 10 minutes for him to find the problem, properly reconnect the wire, and problem solved. Highly recommend asking for Michael G if you have HVAC problems that ;eed to be troubleshot and fixed.

We used this company in the past when we had a problem with our water heater. Kevin was prompt, professional and transparent during that interaction. As such, we decided to contact them regarding our aging AC system, ailing water heater and our heating system that dated back to 1991. Our estimator, Brooks, provided three options to deal with our aging system and we decided to replace everything with new technology to reduce our bills and have more comfort in our house. Just as the first autumn cold snap hit, THAT’S when the heating failed to respond. When we set the thermostat to call for heat, we could hear the furnace start warming up. A couple of minutes later the blower came on … and then it all shut down. We tried several times, but no luck.Unfortunately, we had very little experience with heating/air conditioning firms, but after talking with a knowledgeable friend, we got a strong recommendation — call Brooks Robertson at KC Home Services.Brooks came by the next morning, opened the furnace up … and found a 20+ year old system riddled with corrosion and looking in every way like it was on its last legs. His recommendation: If we wanted reliable heating (and cooling) for years to come, retire the old system and install a new one. Fixing “the old jalopy,” while a lot cheaper in the short run, wouldn’t get us much additional mileage.Brooks gave us estimates on two new systems, one more energy-efficient but also more expensive than the other. Together, we went over our utility bills and it became obvious that the more efficient system would take many years to pay for itself in lower bills. We chose the less expensive, but less efficient option.After Brooks left, a couple of other guys showed up that same afternoon to remove the old furnace. It was messy work, but when they were done, they left the place spic and span. Unfortunately, that was on a Friday, and although the outside temperatures warmed up a little, we spent the weekend in sweaters and extra socks. But bright and early on Monday, Morgan Kang and an apprentice, Brandon, showed up with a new furnace. They worked all day, and that evening we had a nice warm house. The next day Morgan and Brandon came back and finished the job, hooking up the air conditioning’s outside equipment, a noticeably larger, more robust condenser unit than the old one.Brooks, Morgan and their team clearly knew what they were doing. Solid professionals, and not just in a technical sense. They explained everything clearly, patiently and politely. Throughout the process, we also heard several times from Virginia in the office. She’d check — even into the early evening — to make sure everything was going well, and she unfailingly sent us emails and texts to let us know who’d be coming and when we could expect them. It was another mark of professionalism and customer care that’s not just lip service. We’re not expecting any more trouble, but next time we might need some help, KC Home Services is the company we’ll surely call.

My Experience with KC Home Services (Locally Family Owned and Operated Business) for an AC install was excellent.I rarely provide 5-star reviews but I cannot find any glaring issues with their service. We were considering adding AC to our home but wanted to compare it to a whole house fan. Brooks came out and did an assessment, ran through the pros and cons of each and the cost of each and gave me an estimate on the spot. The entire team was super professional and on it from the start when I talked to Virginia and the installers Morgan and Darren. And yes, they stayed on budget. You cannot go wrong if you are looking for a team that shows up when they say theyre going to, gives old school service, makes you feel like a valued customer and follows up to ensure that all is well. I couldn’t be more pleased with the KC crew. To start with Virginia is absolutely amazing and in my struggle of no hot water and a 1 year old baby she was heaven sent. I had my hot water heater go out and she did everything she could to make sure we got hot water again. She was more than patient with my undecided landlord as well with me calling her the day before thanksgiving. The techs she dispatched where very polite and clean with their work and got us up and running again. KC home helped me out in a pinch. My AC went out and I had renters that were unhappy. Virginia was super helpful and responsive over the phone (and it was a holiday weekend)! Kevin, the owner, was in contact with me explaining everything as Victor was on site diagnosing the problem. I felt like I had a team behind me. We had an older HVAC unit that we replaced with a new unit and condenser. We had older family members living in the house in the midst of a heat wave, and KC Homes brought fans that day (no expense to us) so that they could be comfortable until the new unit was installed.
