Kens Japanese Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

Hands down, this is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Southern California!I moved to the Inland Empire a couple of years ago and I’ve read many good reviews of Ken’s Japanese Restaurant on Google and Yelp. I decided to give this restaurant a try and it truly lives up to the hype.I chose OMAKASE (Chef’s choice course), and it was amazing! It was the best Japanese meal that I’ve ever had so far.What I love about this restaurant:-       Fresh ingredients: I can taste the freshness of all the seafood dishes I had.-       Great hospitality: the moment I stepped in the restaurant, I was greeted by the great waiters. The chef also came out to ask me about the Chef’s choice course and explained what those are.-       The experience: the restaurant and its ambiance remind me of those authentic Japanese restaurants I visited in Japan.I love this restaurant and I will definitely come back!PS: Thank you, Victor! Your hospitality and great personality have made my dinner an amazing experience.

Been driving in front of this restaurant since 2003 and decided to check it out after having an urge for sushi. Our regular sushi spot is in Tustin. Didn’t know that it’s reservation only, yet we were allowed to walk in. Best sushi place in town, thus far!

FANTASTIC QUALITY SUSHI. We dont need to go downtown for good sushi. We had the omakase.The place looks pretty old, probably why theyre renovating. We called to get seats.

Authentic Japanese cuisine!I’ve been coming here with my family for the last couple of years, and we are always greeted warmly by the owners and their employees.They have the best quality fish, fresh and exquisite! The servers are friendly and attentive, as well as the owners of the restaurant, they ensure you have an amazing dinner. They always greet you with a smile!They serve a variety of sashimi/sushi options from bluefin toro, salmon, yellowtail, tuna, uni and more! Their rolls are delicious! I’ve had their Godzilla roll, caterpillar roll, crunchy roll, firecracker roll, California roll, and rainbow roll, and I have yet to try the rest. The chicken teriyaki is so tender and the yaki udon is good. They serve baked green mussels with sirachi sauce and it’s so delicious! They serve the best quality food.Dine in is available upon making a reservation. Book ahead of time.

Please note that they have limited kitchen items.First timer here! I absolutely loved it. Im a sushi snob and Kens was top notch. They also have a great Japanese beer selection. I highly recommend Kens if you appreciate quality sushi.

Oh my goodness my all time sushi place! Great quality of sushi! Beats having to drive to LA for over priced mediocre sushi. Kens has been here for such a long time and I dont know why I havent discovered him any sooner. My favorite to order their blue fin toro it just melts in your mouth! Me and my co workers come here often. Tip! Make sure you sit at the bar so the chefs can recommend their specials for the day

Best quality sushi Ive ever had. Will wreck your wallet. About ~$13-$20 per roll.They serve soda out of soda cans.No Dr Pepper.Wish they played music or added ambient noise.Worth trying at least once

Made a reservation on Wednesday for Friday night. I drive an hour in rush hour traffic to get to the restaurant, when I get there the parking lot is empty and there is a sign on the door saying they are closed until further notice. Food might be great, unfortunately I’ll never know.

I have been coming to this place since 2001. Never disappointed, food is awesome. Prices are fair and staff very courteous. My favorite place

A truly five star experience. Highly reccomend the Omokase across the board. This place has ruined other sushi restaurants for me. Can’t go anywhere else now.
