I come here regularly and have tried almost every vegan/vegetarian dish on the menu. My favorite dishes have been the tofu banh mi, lemongrass tofu bún, crispy vegetarian egg roll, tofu spring roll, and vegetarian crêpe. They also have a dessert menu that you have to ask for, but their fried banana is a must-have(vegetarian, not vegan). Their milk teas are also great, just a bit pricey now. Service is great and they offer outdoor seating now as well. Overall, 5/5!

Oh my God do I want to love Kettles so badly..Im in the Napa Valley area for a week (I come annually) and always crave Asian dishes, so while charging the car, we stumbled upon Kettles.The menu is pretty big and the reviews were good, so we gave it a try.The restaurant was pretty big and had a decent amount of customers dining when we arrived.Service was as expected, she answered all our questions and gave us good quality service.Now for the food. Prices are slightly higher than Id expect for noodles, but if its quality, then I have no issues paying a premium.I got the Bun Bo Hue, mixed meat Vermicelli Bowl, and the fried rolls.Lets start with the positive.The Bun Bo Hue was quite good. It had decent flavor, lots of meat, and had that body warming feel you should get when you have BBH.The Negatives:The fried rolls were very very dry. Even if you lather them in the fish sauce they provide, it is still incredibly dry and hard to swallow.The verm bowl was alright, the meat again was very very dry. They give you a small cup of fish sauce to pour in, but youd need like 4-5 of those to make up for the dryness. I ended up eating all the noodles and leaving most of the meat.. which is not something I do.I might give Kettles another shot in the future, but right now it wouldnt be a recommendation of mine.

This is a hidden gem right across from Whole Foods and tucked away in a sweet little space off of Steele Lane. Its cozy and zen, with excellent service and yummy menu. 😋

I got a Filet Mignon Pho. As soon as I had it, I could smell the pleasant aroma of the broth. The broth also tastes good, and sweet in a good way. The meat is soft and tender too. The atmosphere here is also calm. My waitresses were kind and delivered good service!

What a delicious seafood Pho! The broth is amazing as are the fish cakes! Outstanding service, I think the owner was my server. Great guy, I will be back many more times. It is also not a giant bowl to eat as well. Very comfortable place to relax and enjoy excellent food!

I dont think i have ever left a food review but this place compelled me. By leaps and bounds superior Pho. Something magical happened while I was eating. For the first tine ever, I started noticing the feel of the noodles in my.mouth, the perfect texture of the pork, the depth of flavors so rarely experienced. You simply must come and experience what excellent Vietnamese food tastes like. A wide range of vegan options as well.

Yeah I was going through my reviews and I couldn’t find my review for Kettles! Turns out I’ve never made one…. That is surprising to me because Kettles is one of my favorite restaurants, not just Vietnamese restaurants, favorite of all time! Folks, literally everything is good here. I come for the Pho but I have tried many other things on their menu coming with other people. Their rice plates are good. Their appetizers are good. The other specials including Bun Bo Hue are good. They are very consistent with serving up tasty dishes! Now back to the Pho. I live in a town that doesn’t have a good Pho place so I travel 50 miles to Santa Rosa just for Kettles! Their pho is some of the best I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on ingredients here and there’s always a large portion of meet. The Combination Pho comes with tripe, tendon, brisket, flank steak, and meatballs. I always omit the tripe because it’s like chewing on rubber bands but that’s just me. I always ask for extra lime and basil and have never once been charged for these extras. The wait staff are always super kind and fast. Kettles is my happy place. ❤️ 🍲🍜

By far the best Vietnamese food around, I’ve been going here for years and the food is outstanding! The staff are super friendly and always welcoming, they always have fresh ingredients and quick service, during the summer there’s an outdoor seating area.

We stopped by for lunch, we were seated right away....ordered hot tea and spring rolls...waiter brought them out and we ordered lunch. He ordered combination stir fry, I had the shaken beef... we also added combination fried rice...The service was good and the food was fantastic. The only reason its 4 stars instead of 5, is the dining room is a little dated...the floor could use a little help and there was a broken table. We will definitely be back

We came here for a late lunch, and were delighted to find a Happy Hour menu Monday through Friday 3-5 PM that included both have priced, very freshly made cocktails (the pineapple Mojito 🍹was exquisite!!) plus assorted dishes.Spring rolls with pork and crunchy peanut sauce was crunchy and filling; the Iron Pot Rice Kettle special dish with three types of meat was exceptionally well flavored.I have added this to my Google maps favorites, and plan on returning when we are next in the area.

This place is awesome. I arrived with my mind set on trying pho. Ive tried it once before and loved it so my mouth was watering. The host was amazing and had great customer service. She sat me down with an ice water served with a slice of cucumber along with a menu. I ordered the combination pho which was loaded with beef and the broth was very flavorful. The service was fast yet very personable. The pho was served with bean sprouts fresh basil and lime and jalepenos to top it off and Sriracha and hoisin sauce. I definitely will come back i highly recommend this spot.

Food was great. My combo plate w/vermicelli noodles was prob the best Ive had in a long time. I like how they have kid menus. Most places like this dont have any options for kids leaving me to buy one plate for 2 kids to share or just wasting the money on leftover food. Spring rolls are my fav vietnamese appetizer but something about these ones gave me a bad after taste, not sure if it was the pork inside or what? The atmosphere was nice, cool, quiet & relaxing. Customer service was great & our waitress went the extra mile to make my son feel special by posting his colored drawing up at the front hostess bar. After myself & 3 kids, drinks & appetizer...I surprisingly spent around $65 (not incl. tip). We will be back:D

We discovered this wonderful family run Vietnamese restaurant during a stopover in Santa Rosa. It is a couple blocks from the Charles Schultz Museum. We had limited time to dine before our flight. Everyone was very gracious about taking fast care of us in an extremely friendly way. Our meal arrived within minutes. The food was the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. DELICIOUS! We would drive there during our next Bay Area visit just for the food & kind service. Don’t miss the chance to experience their terrific food, matcha drinks and hospitality.

Best place to get good Pho! As someone with Vietnamese upbringing, its hard to find Pho that isnt completely Americanized these days. Dont skip getting the Combination Pho as this place uses the true ingredients, including my favorites: tendon and tripe! Its sad to go to Vietnamese restaurants where important ingredients are left out because people dont know what it is or they arent completely comfortable trying something different than what they grew up eating.Dont ruin it for those of us who feel nostalgic eating the meals of our culture, get the authentic dishes! Keep those dishes alive and thriving! Not everything needs to be fusion.I like the spring rolls here and the boba is decent; be mindful that the Thai tea will dye your whole mouth orange lol. Made that mistake twice here. Also the Banh Mi is good and as close to Authentic as you can get around this area.Didnt give 4 stars cuz Im not like blown away about anything but the Pho and Banh Mi.

This was my first pho experience,It was unfortunately cold and raining but I still wanted to sit outside and experience it! Tried Kettles last night for take out. Ordered the chicken egg rolls, pork belly skewers, and grilled chicken bon mi. Overall, very good. The egg rolls are different than youd expect, but very good. Loaded with chicken and a bit larger than typical and the wrap was a bit thicker than typical. The bon mi had lots of tasty chicken. Overall a great meal!

I like the variety of dishes here. They have classic Vietnamese fare as well as dishes that I havent seen at other Vietnamese places before. Their cha gio egg rolls are super crispy and should be an absolute must when you visit.

We go here most of the time until this one time they decided to add an extra $23.49 as Gratuity/tip. I mean we always add tip after every Dine in but me personally I think giving tip should be up to us. I Asked the lady and she said if there was more than 6 people they automatically add Gratuity and that is including children because for me there was 3 of adults and 3 kids.

My family absolutely loves this restaurant! They have amazing food and amazing service! I’ve tried nearly every dish on the menu, and have been impressed with most of them. I’m not a big fan of their Bahn Mi, it’s a little dry and not so filling. Everything else is awesome! You gotta try their boba drinks also! Highly recommended 🙌I don’t have many pictures of their food, but trust me, they’re good!

If youre trying to escape the bustle of downtown and actually want good food and service, this is the place for you! This was easily the best vietnamese food I have ever had! With a large menu and the largest vegan/vegetarian selection Ive seen at an Asian place, I absolutely loved the claypot veggies! The servings are big too which makes it a great deal for the price. Our waitress and hostess were attentive and very sweet. Sidenote: the water has cucumber in it, making it refreshing and pairs well with dishes like the vermicelli! They also have a nice selection of alcoholic drinks like sake, wine, and beer. Loved eating out on the patio right after Thanksgiving.

So so good!!I have Celiacs and it can be difficult to find restaurants that take gluten allergies/intolerance seriously.Their menu spells out if the dish has wheat very clearly.I was able to have two incredibly yummy appetizers (crispy chicken egg rolls and fried chicken wings) No reaction at all, but if you have severe Celiacs you wont want to risk the cross contamination. Even their soy sauce is naturally gluten and preservative free.The service was excellent. Jason our server was knowledgeable, attentive and funny. The food was piping hot, just the way hubby likes it,Great evening out with my love!

Great place for delicious pho, and so much more. The owners are also servers and they are friendly and efficient. The spring rolls were a perfect starter. I had the pho and it was just like I wanted. Bottles of hoisin and sriacha sauce were on the table. We did not choose dessert. We spotted a hummingbird outside our window while we were there...an added bonus.

This is not only my favorite Vietnamese restaurant but my favorite restaurant overall. They have the best egg rolls even in comparison to king egg rolls in San Jose (which used to be my fav) and their pho is fire made with oxtail bone broth. The service is friendly and fast. Great authentic Vietnamese food. Very consistent. Ive been coming here since they opened (around 12 years I think) and they have never disappointed me. The menu runs the spectrum of light to hearty, spicy to sweet; there is something for everyone here. Crisp appetizers that make your mouth water. Quality Bánh mì sandwiches for less than youd pay leaving a fast food restaurant. Noodle plates, soups, clay pots all full of flavor and filling.

The host was nice, the waiter, perhaps one of the owners, on the other hand, should be at cash register in stead, and let someone who knows how to give good service take over that duty. He did not give us enough time to let him know what we need for our table. The food, though look good from the menu, was mediocre at best. They all seem to taste the same. Dont bother with appetizers, which are over-priced and bland. The location is awkward. If you missed the turn, you will have to go through 3 long lights to get back there. I was hopeful to find a good Vietnamese restaurant here, the search continues.

Were expected a more traditional Vietnamese restaurant, but they are not. Its a lot more Americanize for our taste. The food is not bad, but the service is extremely slow. I guess, were caught them in between shifts plus we have a large party of 20. However, it shouldnt justify the wait time. It takes about 30 min to get our drink order. Eventually, they did send some additional help.

We have several very good Vietnamese restaurants in Santa Rosa but this one is special - farm to table, quality ingredients, free range poultry, home grown herbs, a little more elegant. I spent a couple of weeks in Vietnam last year and honestly, the food at Kettles was as good or better than anything I had there. Excellent food, great service, family run.

Worst food ever! The service was great, but who cares when the food is atrocious? We tried almost all the starters which were mostly inedible. My whole family felt ill after. This place was such a great find! We made it for the end of Happy Hour and ordered drinks and food. Some of the best Vietnamese food around. Ive been enjoying this cuisine since 1980 starting out in my first wifes mothers kitchen. They came over in 1974 from Danang . I even began cooking myself based on home style recipes. The dipping sauce is to perfection and the iron pot is outstanding. The papaya salads are large enough for two or more people at a time.There are only a few pho selections as this is not a pho restaurant. Pho ga was a little tough, but that could just be because chicken reacts to sudden boiling water. Lovely basil, jalapeno slices, nice heap of bean sprouts, and lime rounded out a proper pho presentation.
