I had a great time at Kickin KAsian. As soon as I walked in a I was greeted and asked if I was dining in. I went in at 3:30PM and the restaurant was full. It is a pleasure to see all staff and crew at Kickin KAsian be helpful and friendly. Congrats to the owner, your staff makes it a pleasure to eat at the restaurant.The food: The combination of Cajun spices and Asian food are and a perfect combination. I had the shrimp and fries. WOW::: They were delicious. Please look at my pictures.The sauces complete the experience. One was sweet and the other more minty. I had the Thai Ice tea that was delicious.There is plenty of parking. Many tables and the food is spectacular. I do recommend Kickin KAsian to anyone who loves Cajon food.

The flavors are very good and I really like the mix of all three, called kickin mix, on my snow crab legs. They also have table lines, bibs, and cups for the sauces. They have really good fried okra, fried shrimp, French fries, Thai tea, strawberry lemonade. When I get my fried shrimp and fried okra I always get the Cajun and lemon mix seasoning. They have great king crab also. The only think I hate is they close early.

Experience having meal without using any fork and knife was pretty awesome! Although everything were kinda salty, but the sauce is very good with rice. Strongly recommended to bring the sauce home and you can cook up some noodles or pasta to mix in. Add some steam veggies on the side is another perfect second meal. p.s. I love the idea of having a lot of lemon to use ask sauce.

PROS: The food looks great and tastes good, the plates all come seasoned really well with peppers, paprika, garlic etc so you will get fill quick. They serve soft drinks as well as other options like lemonades and Thai tea, which were both really good. Its a great place to sit back and hang out with friends if you dont mind getting messy. The staff here are extremely polite and attentive.CONS: You may have trouble finding parking because they share a parking lot with other nearby restaurants and stores. The wait time is very long; I waited about an hour and twenty minutes to get seated(but it was Valentines day weekend so Ill give them that). Its pricey so only go here if youre willing to spend about $20 per person maybe more. For a table of 4 I spent $150 not including the tip because of the drinks and plate extras (potatoes, sausage, corn, fries) it was all very good but its really seasoned...i mean REALLY seasoned. If youre not a fan of salty and hearty foods youll get tired of it quick because the flavors may be overpowering.

In response to your comment, fried oysters arent supposed to be soft and soggy, and tasting citrus. I was excited for my 1st experience at your establishment.It was packed with an hour wait and the kind younglady at the door suggested that I take my order to go.I spent $20 for fried oysters and fried okra they were both soggy and disappointing. I expected them to be crisp considering it was fried. I just live down the street on Reseda so I didnt drive far.My food was hot, but soggy and not crispy.You can invite me to return and have this meal at your establishment on you, to make up for the quality of food and the experience.Thanks for asking.

I always saw this place packed, but I never had the chance to go. I finally did, and OMG. The food is delicious. I took my family here, and Im the only one bilingual and Genesis E. was amazing because she took her time and spoke Spanish to them while taking our order to make them feel comfortable. She took good care of our order, everything correct, very friendly environment, and a MUST if you love Cajun.The only catch was that they charge for gloves, but its all good.

I was excited to try this place based on the reviews on Yelp. The customer service was not good at all . I walked in ; it was not hello or anything, it was oh we are not accepting cash (because I had cash in my hand ) I walked back in still was not greeted she stated are you good . I said I would like to order is that ok . To be in a place and not feel welcomed . I told the person Cat or Kat how it was my first time, no helpful suggestions, customer service was dry . Then they get your number but you have to wait outside for them to call your name if you place to go order . Unfortunately customer service is big and was not welcomed I do not recommend this place . I love, love, love this place. I love the food, the staff and the service. Ive been going here for a couple of years now. Kevin and Nancy are still there and are really cool peeps. I always order snow crab legs kickin mix and shrimp with kickin mix. Sometimes I order the garlic butter mild. Even though it would be easier to order the naked shrimp, there is something very therapeutic about peeling your own shrimp. For those of you that love super spicy? Please order a side of the shut up sauce. Its going to cost you a dollar, but its worth it. Buyer beware of how spicy it is. I personally love it. I have ordered the mussels on several occasions and hated it. Its too fishy, griddy and jiggly in your mouth. I wouldnt recommend it. My favorite Arnold Palmer in the world is at this place. They sweeten the lemonade with honey instead of sugar. (Its such a great mix) make sure to order gloves because the smell will stay with your hands for a couple of days. One great thing about this place is there is a sink right in the dining area. When youre done, youre done. Youll know what I mean. You dont want to wait 20 minutes for the bathroom. Its really convenient to have sink in the dining area.

Overall the experience was great. Food was good, service kind and fast. We did wait for 45 mins. Another person waiting said they made reservations on Yelp in case somebody wants to try that. We got Cajun fries, white rice, mango michelada, 🍤 deveined and added sausage and mushrooms. Would pass on the sausage and 🍄 nxt time tho.The only thing I can say is there was no sign outside and there were ppl waiting. So u dont know if ur supposed to go inside to put ur name on the list or the ppl waiting r in line to give their name. This food is a 5 stars but why 4 then?1. They “opted to do not accept legal tender aka CASH”.2. No cash, no problem pay with card…. Why is the problem? You pay their transaction fee 3.5% of your bill. This is the highest percentage that only Amex charge. I am business owner and first it’s illegal to pass it to consumer like this. Prices should reflect all fees the business incur.3. I did not like the paper straw they use, Ik it’s California law but they don’t mind breaking since they charge you the fee with no potion to voiding buy paying cash, same with a weird wood single use forks they provide and charge you extra if you ask for gloves.Average I will definitely come back, place is very small but food is good. At least at my experience waitress were nice, many helped and Thai tea probably is the BEST I ever tried. I took 2 refills and took one more to go… so yummy.Expect to pay about $50 per person about but I think it’s expected for the food they are serving. Not complaint about prices.Overall love the food, hate the forced processing fee with no way to void it.

Great food, great staff, and a good experience. The server was very nice in making sure that our first experience was good in explaining the menu. She did very well. Unfortunately we arrived at the restaurant rather late and were quickly told that last call was happening. With our lack of experience in trying a boil type restaurant we were helped by the lovely server in selecting our food. Unfortunately, we felt rushed to take our food out to eat the remainder at home. Within understandable means, I understand that the restaurant was closing and we did arrive late. But as customers completely new to this boil house experience, we enjoyed the overall experience but felt slightly rushed to end our dining and kindly force a take out.

Today was my first time here. I read a ton of great reviews, and thats what brought me in. I love the seafood boils, so Id figured Id give this place a try. First off I would say the service was great. They even had a little robot bring me my water. I thought that was really cool. But when it came down to my food, I didnt find the seasonings to be super flavorful. I got the kickin sauce medium on both my shrimp and snow crab legs. The medium was more like mild. I didnt taste a kick in my sauce at all. The shrimp was cooked just right and I find that the crab was a bit over done. The meat was stuck to the walls of the crabs, which made it more of a challenge to crack the crabs. If I come back here I would probably only get the shrimp and try a different sauce with the temp being more spicy.

Its amazing how they combine both Asian and Canjun flavor profiles successfully! We got the full size shrimp oysters. The oysters were pretty large and tasty, but the star of the show was definitely the kicking Asian sauce on a bag of shrimp with mini corn. Rice which perfectly balanced all of the intense flavor from the tanginess of the lime, to the Cajun flavors, definitely tasted some butter in there, and the sauce made a perfect compliment to the plain white rice. I love the kickin mix here. Prices thou have been up since inflation. It’s not that affordable according to me. 🤣🤣 but sometimes you gotta splurge on yourself. I like that they have a lot of sides you can add on like eggs, corn, baby corn, okra and mushroom. The only thing that I would like them to change are the sausages. They are just not that good according to me and my friends, that’s why we don’t order them.

Best oysters Ive ever tasted at any restaurant, they were just perfect, very sweet and served fresh on ice just how its supposed to. The shrimp is very delicious it has so much flavor. We had a large party of 12 and they took a while to seat us because we they are a smaller location.The stars that I’m giving them is because of the good service and the quickness of the food and the atmosphere. That was all good but the food itself isn’t that good the boiling crab has better flavors. PORTION SIZES are very SMALL. Much smaller than we used to get. For the works we got 2 small pieces of sausage 1 corn 1 Potato. The 1 whole order of peeled shrimp $27 was probably less than half a pound. You can tell by looking and holding it. CRAZY how little they give you. Idk if it’s new management or something but whatever it is, they’re cheap af now. I had to purchase an additional 1/2 pound skin-on head-on shrimp $12. Here’s what you do friends: buy the works with extra sauce and go get yourself some peeled shrimp from Ralph’s, boil them up for a little in a pot and throw them in the bag after. I got you!,you’re welcome. With $27 you can get like 2/3 pounds of peeled shrimp. The sauce is the only thing that makes it good anyway. Total order was $56 - no thanks! 😐

But just a heads up, wait time gets extremely long 😬Due to covid it required vaccine cards or negative test within 3 days. I had mine from a few days ago but wasnt valid anymore so I couldnt dine in with my fam 🙁 Some ended up eating elsewhere, me in the car, while the rest ate inside. To be honest, I think this location is suffering a little from the popularity. Nothing tastes quite the same. The flavor isnt infused the way it used to taste. Like it didnt simmer long enough... Maybe they got more efficient, but some of the flavor has been lost.Its still good. And most of the servers are pretty good and will check on you.I definitely recommend the quail eggs.

Weve never had a bad meal here. The service has always been top notch. The only minus is there is always a wait. We went there at 2pm on a Saturday and there was still a 20 min wait. They use the app Nowait to help seat people quicker and to alert people via text messaging. Tip: If you dont mind taking the food home, order ahead and you can get your food in a couple minutes.

The food was delicious and the waiter was attentive. It was reasonably priced. I disliked it because they dont take reservations and they wont seat you unless 100% of your party is present. We had a birthday party, mostly a mature older crowd. The birthday girls mother just slipped away to grab something from her car and the host refused to seat us. It was embarrassing to be treated like we were lying and ridiculous that he couldnt seat 9 out of 10 of us. That wasnt a great start to our celebration. If you want to try it (they do have good food), go when its not busy (we waited just over an hour on a Friday night).

The food is amazing but the only problem is if you are ordering pickup through the phone, the person answering the phone can be rude sometimes. I feel the guy at the phone expects me to hear him clearly but I cant because the background is really loud and then he gives a bit of attitude when repeating. The guy at the register also doesnt lead the order. It feels like he expects the customer to know what to order and how. It has happened multiple times to me. If you like Cajun seafood, this is the spot for you. They have different options of seafood such as shrimp crab, oysters, and calamari which you can also add corn, potatoes, and sausage to your order. On top of that they have different seasoning combination and levels of spiciness. The dining area has a southern feel and the friendliness of the staff is all around welcoming. The wait time isnt that bad on the weekdays but weekends you could be waiting up to thirty minutes so plan accordingly. Overall this is one of my favorite spots to enjoy seafood and definitely suggest giving this place a try.

Overpriced. They make money on the drinks and anything you add to your seafood such as sausage, veggies, and rice ($3 for a side). Fries were over seasoned so was very salty. Good size soft shell crab but again over seasoned so flavor was all in the deep fried coating and dipping sauce. If I eat there again, Ill skip the fries and drink so that I can have veggies with my seafood. With seafood, side, drink, and tip, expect to pay $25-30...plastic gloves are extra.

This is my favorite food ever. I was looking for an alternative to Boiling Crab ever since they changed their sauce recipe to have absolutely no texture, just oil and butter. The sauce here is so, so delicious. Theres chunks and seasonings that I can scoop with my shrimp and into my rice. It has texture and is soooooooo good.

Delicious food and a cool experience! My boyfriend came here one time on a Sunday evening, and it was so busy! We wouldve had to wait an hour to eat though, so we decided to come back another time. We came back on a Saturday afternoon, and were seated right away. Its a good price for the amount of food that you get, and well-done seafood is worth the price! We both got the kickin kasian seasoning; I felt like it was a bit too much when I was finishing up my clams, so maybe next time Ill order rice or something to help balance it out. Definitely worth the trip!

The food was flavorful, but some a bit salty. They have fried and broiled food. Not many vegetables. Friendly helpful staff. Always busy. Northridge has a large parking lot. Fried oysters were heavily battered, but delicious. Fries are seasoned. Everything we had was good. We chose mild seasoning, which still had a comfortable spice. The cheese bites only come in one level and were a bit more spicy than mild. For comparison, we usually get medium spice salsa. Be conservative if you have difficulty with spicy foods. We used to go to this place often, the Cajun shrimps are good. But they keep bumping up the prices. Shrimp is $15 a pound, used to be a lot less. The King crab is $33/pound for 2 1/2 pieces of legs. Before or a month ago there were at least 5-6 legs per pound. They said they’re using another kind of crab that is bigger, but honestly they were the same size. The food was delicious, but I cant approve of the plastic waste. I wonder (and dont) that leftovers are composted.
