Pretty good Chicken Chow Mein, with a sufficiently large portion, and an ok Onion Pancake. The Pancake came fairly burnt, and oily, and broken to pieces - when delivery. It may be better in store.

Great place for noodle soup. Found the place via Google, and the reviews about the hand-pulled noodles is the reason why I wanted to try this place. Currently, temporarily not eating meat, to help cleanse my body, so we ordered the pickled radish noodle soup and the #10 master greens noodle soup. Also ordered the onion 🌰 pancake, and shrimp 🍤 +chive dumplings.Everything tasted really good! They also have a homemade hot sauce that was 🔥!We plan to go back next month to try their beef noodle 🍜 soup, which the reviewers said were good.A must try!

Came here because it was in Anthony Bourdains show a few years ago. It did not disappoint.Absolutely the best meal Ive had in SF in a while. The pork and bean curd noodles, remembering them Im hungry all over again.Dumplings are just like i remember getting in BeijingThe fried tofu is obscenely good, perfectly light and airy, delicious even as leftovers.The scallion pancake was delicate and flavorful.Prices were excellent, the dining room was cozy, servers were super friendly and happy to answer menu questions.

Amazing tasty food, great pork and chive dumplings and the spicy beef noodle soup had so much flavour: fall apart tender beef, fresh pak choi and a very flavourful spicy broth, best tasting we’ve found outside of China.Can highly recommend this eatery, the staff were very friendly. The complimentary jasmine tea was a bonus. We’d eat there again if we come back to San Francisco.

Had been really looking forward to try this place. They are usually busy whenever I pass through. Decided to try for takeout. I would say their dumplings are some of the best in the area. Wasn’t a big fan of beef chowfun though.. it was little greasy and heavier on soy sauce which made it saltier to our liking. Meat wasn’t tender either. Will definitely try their other noodles.Overall nice people and good food!

Love the beef dumpling with daikon radish. The XLB was good, but the skin was a bit on the thicker side. However, on a positive note, none of the skin broke so I was able to savor all the liquid soup. My friend said the green onion pancake was good too. Unfortunately, I couldnt taste it since I am allergic to seafood. I decided to get the chicken wings. I didnt like it because it was on the sweet side. I would have liked it if it was more garlicky and savory. Would give this place 3.5 stars.

Their xiaolongbao is mediocre. The skin is too thick, the fold needs improvement. All of them are uniform and identical. That’s the upside. The seasoning could also improve. The juice seems like added soup rather than natural juice from the pork.

Excellent lamb noodles and very generous portion of tender lamb as you can see in the photo. Noodles are fresh and springy and the broth is truly heavenly. Decent noodle spot where all of the noodle dough is handmade and to order. I think this place has the potential to be really great, but the food just packed flavor and the noodles were a bit too undercooked on many of the dishes ordered.Loved the black fungus and beef with daikon dumplings. Soups were just OK. Broth needs a bit more depth and flavor. Its pretty reasonably priced fwiw, but I would try other places in the area as there are a ton of better options.Parking is always a pain in this neighborhood, but thats no surprise. Its easy enough to find and walk to if you park a few blocks away in the residential areas. Staff is friendly, but could be a bit more attentive. Overall, a reasonable experience with decent food.

I hesitate to write this review, because I dont want a line forming in front of my favorite restaurant in SF! Hear me out.. you arent going to find a better priced and better tasting noodle shop that makes all noodles and dumplings daily, without all the crazy IG phone takers crowding up the place instead of actually eating what they are taking a picture of. No, it doesnt have a lobster head or beef bone sticking out of it... But if you want authentic noodles with an aromatic spicy savory simmered for days broth, tender beef and fresh choy spicy beef noodle soup, this is your spot! The dumplings are also quite good. Also, for a little extra indulgence try ordering the deep fried onion pancake and dipping it in your soup 😋 not great for vegans and small kids

Great dumplings, ok noodles. I went for the beef and noodles soup and while the noodles were fantastic and had a great texture, the beef was only ok - about half of the pieces were just fat floating in the broth, and the buck choi still had a little dirt in it. That said, the pork dumplings and the soup dumplings were really great!

There is usually a reason for a line outside of a restaurant - the food is so good that it is worth waiting for! That was our experience with the King of Noodles. We had the Wonton Soup, pork and spinach dumplings, Chicken Chow Mein, and the Beef Chow Fun. All were outstanding, balancing the flavors nicely. We also ordered the Sesame Bun dessert - make sure to order it when you order your meal as it takes about 20 minutes to make. We will come back with every visit to SF!

Hand pulled noodles was great! Beef stew should have more tendons that way the meat wouldn’t be so dried when chewing on it. Ordered Farmers’ cucumber (unbalanced: some had flavor, some no flavor, some are a salt-lick and no garlic flavor whatsoever), beef tendon noodles (good flavor, a bit on salty side, noodle to soup ratio bad, it is like it is missing a quarter amount needed), potstickers are must, soup dumplings are on the smaller size and there are only 6 dumplings per order (not worth the price and barely have soup in them) and last was the chicken and soup dumplings (definitely had better ones at other, like the one down 2-3 blocks away towards 19th Ave. All in all, overpriced food that we would rather spend somewhere else.

Good family owned style restaurant. Dont expect any fancy decorations and make sure you feed the parking meter (if youre lucky enough to find a space).Their strengths here are their dumplings. Theyre not Ding Tai Fung quality but nonetheless still has its own identity and flavorful. I would stay away from their fried and stir fry choices as ours came out very greasy. The string beans wasnt in season either.

The wonton soup with wide noodle was legit - tasted just like home.Also ordered the Shanghai soup dumpling (Xiao long bao) - disappointed; smaller than expected, thicker skin than expected, and the soup filling lacked flavor. This was the best chicken chow mein I’ve had in San Fran so far, I’ve been here for 8 months so that may change, but it was pretty darn good! The store closes at 3:30 and we walked in at 3:27 and the staff was obviously annoyed and not really polite about it, but they still allowed us to take your food Togo. However, that wasn’t a problem. The place is pretty small and not really decorated. I’d come here again for takeout!

Its hard to beat $6 for a big bowl of hand-made noodles, especially when it gets a bit foggy in the Sunset. King of Noodles is a little hole in the wall noodle house know for their hand-made noodles and dumplings. My personal recommendations are the beef pancakes, soup dumplings, chicken & chive dumplings with hand-made noodles and the spicy beef noodle soup.Keep in mind that theres usually a wait on the weekends and it does take them a while to deliver your orders. If youre planning to share noodles, ask them to cut it up.

Normally I loved their dumplings and noodles, but had a horrible lunch experience today. It started with the waiter being inattentive (bordering on rude) when taking our order despite the place not being busy at all. When our food arrived, I found a piece of metal shaving in the cucumber and fungus dish! Had my mom or I accidentally put it in our mouth, that would have been a straight trip to the emergency room! When I showed the waiter, he just tried to change the dish with barely an apology. Sister restaurant to Kingdom of Dumpling on Taraval street; King of Noodles is bigger and not as far out; so have stopped going to KOD since King of Noodles opened. The xiao long bao are the best that Ive had in the city (but of course does not compare to Ding Tai Fung). The hand-pulled noodles are amazing - so QQ (meaning chewy, springy texture). We usually get the bean thread noodle cold appetizer to start. Theres a black sesame cake that they sometimes have that is perfectly flaky and crispy - definitely order that if they have.
