One of my favorite breakfast restaurant in the bay area. Huge fan of their buttermilk pancakes: so fluffy and perfectly moist!Service is friendly and fast. We had no problem getting seated for 4 on a sunny Sunday at 10am.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WORTH THE PRICE!I recently dined at Kitchen Sunnyside and wanted to share my experience. To be honest, I was quite disappointed with several aspects of my visit.First and foremost, the pricing was a major concern. The pancakes alone were priced at a staggering $18, which, in my opinion, seemed exorbitant, especially considering they appeared to be more decorative than substantial. Additionally, paying $9 for eggs, $4 for hash browns, $7 for sausage, and $7 for a glass of orange juice felt excessive.What further added to my disappointment was the quality and hygiene of the meal. I found a gnat in the fruit served with my meal and discovered a hair on my plate. This lack of attention to cleanliness was not only off-putting but also unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber.In conclusion, I regret to say that this dining experience did not justify the total cost. It appears that a significant portion of the expense goes toward food presentation rather than taste and quality. For those seeking a better value for their money and a more hygienic dining environment, I would recommend exploring other dining options in the area.

We had an absolutely delightful brunch experience at this spot! The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Millionaire Bacon. Walking around town decided to try Sunnyside Cafe for breakfast. Very pleased with our choice. Are inside, while the sitting was awkward where we were it was comfortable. Service was fast, courteous & helpful. Enjoyed the food very much.

We had a party of 7 on a holiday. The wait was roughly 20 minutes, not bad. The hostess came out every 5 minutes to update us on the status of a table becoming available to seat us. The restaurant itself is clean and good atmosphere! The service is prompt and friendly. The food is AMAZING and presented SO beautifully. Definitely make time to stop here if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Went with a party of 7, seated immediately on a Thursday just before noon. I got the avocado toast with the salmon add ons. I asked for hollandaise and put a little over the top. Delicious and simple, and I always love a thin lemon slice for acid! Two of the party members got the Loco Moco which smelled amazing and tasted just as good.We had sangria to share which tasted a little on the sweeter side, but I like it that way!!Service was fabulous, our water and coffee was always topped up and our waiter brought us refill napkins as soon as we needed it.Prices are pretty usual for this area, but a little expensive for some.

Doing the usual search for something near me for breakfast I found the Kitchen Sunnyside. And because I was hoteling it in Mill Valley it was close. The food was great, the potatoes were recommended over the typical hashbrowns and was the right choice/I cant speak intelligently about the hashbrowns. Eggs fresh and cooked to order, sausage was very good. However, when I return to this restaurant for breakfast, Ill definitely order an additional piece of their outstanding sourdough bread. Order was fast, I mean real fast and at first I thought, oh no everything was pre-cooked but, no. Everything was super fresh and I will definitely revisit this place again. If your in the area and needing a morning meal, Id point you in the direction of Kitchen Sunnyside. My new breakfast place in Mill Valley.

This has been one of my favorite places in Mill Valley, CA. It is a must go for breakfast while visiting family. The waiting is a bit long but totally worth the wait. The food is so fresh and delicious. Fresh cook to order. The staff is fantastic and funny. I am impressed how they can remember our order without writing it down. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict and one of the eggs was overcooked so it did not have liquid yolk. I ordered carry out and did not have time to ask them to remake the egg. Other than that, the food was decent. Long wait to get a table which is why I ended up ordering carry out. The rest of the family enjoyed their food. I would give it another chance but there are better restaurants out there especially for the price they are asking.

Very nice local breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of downtown Mill Valley.Gluten free French toast is available, and was excellent. Millionaire dollar bacon is amazing, sweet and spicy — must have.Other options are limited if you have gluten issues — hash browns are not GF, and limits the options.Otherwise, we enjoyed our meal.

My guest and I enjoyed a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and coffee at this cute restaurant with ample seating indoors and out. They allowed tomato slices to substitute for potatoes, which was a bonus. The sourdough ciabatta was tasty. A customer next to us ordered the hot stone pot. It looked amazing, and he highly recommended it on my next visit. The service was friendly and fast, with just enough follow up to not be hovering. Parking on the street was easy to find. My first time at this brunch spot and all of us (two omnivores and one vegetarian) walked away satisfied and super happy!We ordered the hot stone pot with bulgogi (basically bulgogi bibimbap), two eggs with apple sausage with a side of the famous bacon and the Florentine Benny. They were not cheap but more than made up due to the portion and quality.This is definitely an elevated experience. If you want cheap diner food, this is NOT the place for you. The staff were very attentive to our requests and the executive chef was personally overseeing the place. We are now fans and the international influence is much needed in the often-staid Mill Valley food scene. Thank you and we will be back!Sorry no photos we ate so fast!!

I have to say, I hadnt been Herr since before the pandemic. We live about 40 minutes away, so its a treat to drive there for brunch.The food was just as exceptional now as it was two years ago. I had the Sunnyside hash and it was delicious. My companion had millionaires bacon, omg omg omg!Get here, but expect a little bit of a wait about 10 to 20 minutes.

First time in Mill Valley, and such a quaint place to eat nestled in the little downtown street! Found this place because of good reviews and ratings on Yelp! Though there place was busy for a Monday morning brunch, we were seated right away, served with beverages, and the food arrived within 15 or so of ordering. The Scrambles Primavera with Crispy Yukons were absolutely delicious, well done, and quite a big portion that would have suffice two people! The service staff were polite and very kind! Absolutely lovely experience with that little township feeling and quite good food!

Outsized delights! We were seated in a matter of moments on a busy Sunday brunch slot. To start, we enjoyed the millionaire’s bacon which was crispy and tender in a perfect balance, flavorful, and packed a savory punch. Price too high for disappointing quality of food. The sunny side hash was premade frozen undercooked deep fried greasy McDonalds style hash brown patties with glob of cheese mash on top of it. The sourdough was beautiful looking but tasted freezer burned, and the eggs were undercooked. All this for $20... I could have stayed home and made a better meal myself. The millionaires bacon was small and mediocre and tasted like it had a mixed metaphor situation going on between the brown sugar and what tasted like soy sauce and chili of some kind for $7 a slice! My husband got classic eggs Benedict and it was okay but it was nothing to write home about. I gave two stars because the service was very good. I expected higher quality in the middle of Mill Valley.

Regardless, I am quite disappointed given the expectations anyone, either living in or visiting Mill Valley, should experience. Now, thats quite a statement. It is a lack of quality in the food, restaurant design and apathy towards providing services to the customers. They dont have to say a word, but the feeling is transmitted upon looking inside. The phony wood floors, bad colors, grease and grim on the out-of-fashion glass lamp as shades over the counters just scream cheap design and disrespect for a customer base in Mill Valley.And how can you ruin basic breakfast and lunch foods??? Well, go here and order a $25 breakfast to find out!Your better off with $18 avocado toast from an un-named coffee establishment on a well-known corner in downtown Mill Valley.It comes down to this, the establishment is an embarrassment in downtown Mill Valley.To the owners: Please treat the customers better or pass on the restaurant to someone who will.Love your friends and neighbors? This cafe is great? They serve eggs Benedicts, hashes and scrambles, as well other things like sandwiches. The service was quick and efficient. The food was very tasty and make from quality ingredients. I had the Frisco scramble which was eggs, sausage, peppers, and avocado. The Yukon potatoes were delicious and seasoned to perfection. The cost for food ranges between $11 and $20. Overall this place was great and I would go again.

This place has gone downhill significantly since it was sold. Menu was reduced significantly. Food quality has declined. The place is a mess with dishes and condiments all over all the benches, and the kitchen emits a constant torrent of crashing and banging noises. Wow, is all I can say. I know I was hungry when I went in here but the food was excellent.I had the chicken n waffles, with two pouched eggs millionaires bacon n a side of hollandaise sauce. The chicken was fresh made and tasted like it, waffles crisp n fluffy with a light dusting of powdered sugar n some fresh fruit, strawberry n blue berries.The millionaire bacon was tender enough to cut with my fork and had a lil spice, thick and hefty. OMG dont know if it has cheese in it but it tastes like cheese sauce n for me is worth a try all by its self.Service was dedicated to one on one communication meaning the host/waiter/cashier/bus person focused on you when interacting, which is worthy of mention considering there is only one other person working the entire kitchen. Taking this into consideration the Kitchen Sunnyside in my opinion should be considered at the same level of its sister locations Maple and Kitchen Story in SF.

Absolutely perfect diner sort of place for breakfast or lunch. Very large quality portions. Standby dishes but with extra flare. Great coffee. Same ownership as Freds in Sausalito but personally I like a little better.Also they throw a couple of chinese clay pot sort of dishes on the menu. Theyre great. Other favorites are the breakfast tacos, tuna poke salad, millionaire bacon, etc.

Instead it was the frozen, MacDonalds type. $21 is too much money for Scrambled egg dish, 1 piece of dry toast and frozen, oblong hash browns. Would have ordered from IHOP. Manager would not me any partial credit. No butter came with order. Luckily had some at home.
