2023-11-11 15:15:48How could I say I love the restaurant here. Just after shopping at the shops at Santa Anita and searching for the restaurant nearby, its the first and closest choice. The store is small and might be somewhat old-fashioned, but you could feel the warmth. The decorations are specially designed while the staff are welcoming. The chef responsible for the sushi bar could always talk with the customers sitting at the bar. We ordered the recommended Salmon sashimi, its fresh enough. The seafood Hotpot is rich in taste and the fish inside might be cod of great taste. Its also a special hand roll of scallops topped with grilled cheese. Thats great and might be with the locals taste.

2023-08-05 05:56:04I had a highly unpleasant experience at the restaurant. To my surprise, they stop all sittings at 1:15 pm for their 2 pm closing time. It would have been helpful if this information was mentioned on their website. I arrived around 1:17 pm with my two young kids, but despite the restaurant being quite empty, they refused to seat us.While I understand the need to adhere to their rules, I found the staffs attitude dismissive and rude. I will definitely not consider dining at this restaurant again. On a positive note, I went to another Japanese restaurant down the street called Sushi Kizen, and the customer experience there was so much better!

2022-09-06 17:58:04Kiyosuzu is the opposite of all you can eat sushi (AYCE) restaurants. AYCE sushi restaurants to me generally represent lower quality food made by people who are not passionate about their craft. The owner operators of Kiyosuzu have been an Arcadia classic for years for their great service and quality sushi--their passion shows. For slightly above what one might typically pay at a typical AYCE, I left satisfied in terms of the aesthetics of the food, the quantity, and the quality. This is a must visit restaurant in Arcadia and it might be my personal favorite.

2019-05-14 00:29:26Excellent quality sushi and other Japanese dishes. Been here a few times and each time is consistently good. There is a parking lot in the back but it gets crowded with all the businesses in the area.

2020-02-05 00:30:57Wonderful popular authentic Japanese restaurant. Crowded during busy hours, reserve table if you can although not taken during peak holiday hours. Many fresh /seasonal items to choose from - usually posted on the walls, such as various grilled fish collars (kama), jelly fish, etc. Premium price for these as well as sashimi grade tuna toro, fresh shrimp, halibut, etc. Can also dine on a budget with popular sushi rolls, tempura. Some Japanese sake collection. Sushi rice balls are much larger than the traditional size but fish cuts are very generous. Brisk service. Shared parking in the back lot with other restaurants. Closed Monday. Open for lunch as well. Major credit cards.

2022-06-29 02:23:30Between the four years that Ive been here, this place has only gotten better. Highly recommend any raw fish dish, also they have uni so its already a bonus in my book. They have options for people who like chicken, beef, and any other fully cooked dish. Their Yosenabe soup, a type of seafood soup with fish and clams, is very good!

2022-07-16 20:30:19My family has been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Good quality food for a decent price and good service. I am very glad it survived the COVID crisis when so many restaurants ran out of business. There is a good reason for that. They have a faithful customer base.

2022-04-11 23:05:23Outstanding Sushi. The fish is top notch and fresh. Kyoto, the sushi chef has a great sense of humor and a great eye for new dishes as well as traditional Japanese fare. Highly recommended family owned restaurant.
