A good secluded spot in a plaza. Not too much foot traffic and many parking spots available. The price of the meal was a deal but the selection of meat and vegetables was outstanding. Plenty of space for a large gathering. Family friendly and definitely bring your friends. Check this place out and experience the delicacies with some good peeps.

Quiet at lunch and no crowd. The meat selection was fresh and portioned where it was enough put out to serve diners but refreshed every 20 min... not sitting there for an hour.Lil server gal hustled and diligent in asking if.dining was comfy.Free dessert, ask for a steamed egg(ayce) and come hungry. Def a high protein heaven for.those going low carb.Def coming back to this place.

This place is great. It’s different than other Korean BBQ’s you will go to. They lay everything out and you take it back to your table/grill and cook it up. They have pretty much everything you would expect from Korean BBQ. The beef bulgolgi is one of the best. They have a great selection of veggies which is great. They are great at changing the grates and when they replace them they bring the replacement heated up already. We paid $27.99 and it’s worth every penny.

Buffet style Korean bbq restaurant. I like the fact that you get to see first and pick the type of meat you want to cook . They have a variety of sauces to choose from. They also have a good selection of side dishes. My favorite is the bean sprout . It compliments the meat dishes. The sesame ball dessert was always freshly made.Service was fast and efficient.Reasonably priced! I would recommend this restaurant.

I was able to reserve a table the day of my husbands birthday. We had a party of 10, and there was no wait, they seated us right a way. Its 27$ per person half off for kids 8 and under. They were very friendly, cleared plates as soon as they were empty. They have such a variety of food and thrifty ice cream for dessert. We will definitely eat here again. Did I mention its all you can eat 😊.

The food was amazing, there are a large variety of food to choose from. The sauces are flavorful and the meat are very fresh. The service is also great, and the staff immediately changed my plates and grill whenever I ask. Finally, the atomsphere and decorations are just a cherry on top.

Been here a few times even when they didnt have alcohol.I like the concept of getting your own meat. Dont waste now. Only get what you can eat so they dont hike the prices.The service is always good.The food is meh but good enough for me since theres no good KOREAN BBQ here in North County.I personally would love the pork belly to be more fatty. The dipping sauce choices are also just alright. Love the sesame balls for dessert.Overall, I would return often if Im craving KBBQ and dont want to drive far.

I recently had lunch at M. BBQ. The reservation was easy to make, and the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating our special requests. The ambiance was great, and the food definitely lived up to my expectations. We tried all the seafood and if you visit the restaurant, you should too. This is a must-try if you are looking for a nice cozy place for lunch

I keep coming back for more! I like that its buffet style where you get to pick the kind and quantity. Aside from the yummy side dishes, they also serve miso soup, dumplings, white rice, ice cream, and my favorite: sesame rice balls! Theres good variety and the service is good. Highly recommend!

Great flavors for AYCE. Had lunch on a weekday and it was $17.99 cant beat it. Service was great too. This place is different from other AYCE Korean bbq places. You go up to their trays and select your own meats. Definitely will go back.

Every time I go to Rookies I see this place and want it. I finally dropped by with my bestie and I was not disappointed.When we first walked in, we were the only people there, so I got scared. But Im not a sissy, so I took a seat anyways.And is a great thing that we did.Not Long after getting seated, 5 military guys walked in. Then a family of 4 and then more and more. I was excited. But enough about others...The girls there are nice. I thought it was odd st first because usually your table has all the sides, but not here.One of the girls said we get up and go our own food and bring it back to the table. What Is this I thought to myself, but I loved it!I dont have to walt on someone to come back and take my order. I dont have to second guess myself if they understood what I said correctly. This is just totally fantastic!!They have 3 refrigerated carts holding the meat & seafood, veggies, and Toppings. Then there is a table with the sauces, rice, and pot stickers. I just wish I saw steamed egg, but maybe I have to ask for that.The girls are nice and pay attention to you so they come by if they see your struggling or need a new grill. Theyre very prompt.I really love this place. I ordered a plum soju and it was delicious. 13% hits you nicely with the tasty food. Nothing was over powering, good looked and tasted fresh. Rice was nice and soft yet fluffy. Veggies were delicious!For $23.99 for dinner, Ill be back. Lunch is of course less than $18, but Im not sure if the options are different.Im glad this place opened and when I need endless meat, Ill be back!

I like this buffet style K-bbq since dont have to wait on staff & can get just the amount I want. Have been there on several occasions and never had an issue, last time we were there I was the only one who ate shrimp and was the only one who got sick August 8th 2021.

Found this place by accident. I love Korean BBQ so we decided to try it. It was amazing, its all you can eat, buffet style so you go grab your own meets and side dishes, rice, and everything else. The staff was super friendly and attentive. A great dinner night out.

Decent Korean BBQ. I was not a fan of their marinated meats, so I stuck with the other meats and dipped them in their various sauces. Their sauces are VERY good. Their side dishes were pretty good. I like that its all buffet style so you can get as much or as little as you want. They even had miso soup. They have a very interesting painting on their wall as well 🤣

Super tasty KBBQ, the server is super attentive and she made sure that we always had a fresh grill. The meat is also buffet style so you can grab the perfect amount every time instead of wondering what might come out next or waiting on a server. Worst korean bbq I been to. Kalbi and bbq was not marinated, only smothered in black pepper. Disgusting. Kimchi was not fresh, no spice or flavor. Not worth $28 per person. I wouldnt eat here even if it was free. Dont recommend!!!!

First of all, service was good, no problem. Meat quality is low, but what do you expect for $28? I was hungry, had heavy workout in the morning, needed proteins, very firm proteins, felt my jaws had workout while chewing that meat. Small dishes like punchan including kimchi was not korean, but something that someone made without watching YouTube, just fantasy punchans. I would prefer if these Chinese team would cook good Chinese food, instead of doing something that they have no idea. I like Chinese food, but its so hard to find good Chinese food around this area.

Amazing selection, either really fresh or well marinated. Very surprised to see oysters in the seafood section. Veggies were crisp & flavorful. I prefer the buffet style compared to other Kbbq restaurants. Try the sesame seed ball!! I loved that they had open rice, miso soup, dumplings, etc. I appreciate the vents so you dont leave smelling like youve been cooking. Everything was very clean & well lit. As I left many families came & its a very cozy family setting or great for date night!

Meat has gotten better since the remodel. Love the sauces and the vegetables. Short rib was the bomb, bulogi cooks super quick for the kid and tastes good too. If you are in the mood for Korean BBQ, or just a bunch of meat, you should check this place out. Throw a few veggies on the grill too, you can put sauce and oil and salt and pepper while they are cooking and you will thank me.

This place Gaja Korean BBQ is HIGHLY NOT recommended!!!! We originally went to Gaja on July 23, 2022 to eat with our whole family of 6. I saw commercials about the robot bringing food to the table on Instagram and thought it was cool. The service was so so slow and the robot was followed around by a person that placed the food on the table. They even missed a few of our orders. Today, September 4, 2022, we decided to give it Gaja a 2nd chance. We went to eat and evan ran into some friends but our 11 yr old already ate and we were bringing the girls to the mall afterwards. We asked the wairess if our young daughter can sit with us and she said we need to talk to the manager. The manager came out and said our daughter can sit with us but would have to charge us full price. NO EXCEPTIONS. It was a very hot day and we were not going to make her wait so we left. The restaurant wasnt even full and they lost business. With the economy so bad and so many restaurant going out of business, they should learn to be more accommodating and better customer service skills.Anyways, we went across the street to one of our go to favorite AYCE Korean BQ places called KM Bbq (2216 S El Camino Real #108 #109, Oceanside, CA 92054) and they had no problem with our little one sitting at the table with us. In fact they gave her a beverage and cotton candy.

A great little Korean BBQ place thats a bit easier on the wallet than others. With the meats, side dishes and sauces app being buffet style you never have to worry about ordering too much or too little. Have room for just another 3 pieces of pork belly and thats it, just go grab three.While you might find larger selections at other locations, I believe the simple convenience of serving yourself makes up for it.Just be mindful of your choices as there are a few marked Dinner items out at Lunch. So if you want to be charged for lunch price only you need to be mindful and choose only those items.

The inside is seemed to be clean and the food was well stocked. It was a typical kbbq but with the ayce twist where you bring back your food and cook it.Okay. Now the here are some things that you should be aware of. The place is small. Very small. Its almost as if you are shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors. The waitresses are so busy that courtesy is almost non existent. We asked for more water and was barely acknowledged but ultimately, we received the refills. When the bill came, the tip suggestion was based off of the cost including taxes. Not too sure why I would tip them for taxes?In the end, it was a positive experience but I dont plan on going back.

The advertisement is misleading because the sign out front says $19.99 lunch and $24.99 dinner 7 days a week BUT like Maury said, the lie detector determined that was a LIE. Plus it’s a buffet style where Everyone touches the tongs to pick up food and right now during COVID, it’s riskier than other dining places.My 3 yr old and I were charged $45.99 at noon on Sunday. Apparently dinner prices are all day on weekends. No Prices are displayed inside. Food was mediocure, Service-ok, now tons of people serving themselves out of the same place.You can really do better down the road. This place is awesome. We are from the Midwest where hospitality is important and quality of food and service is important. We have never been to a KBBQ before and we were not disappointed in the food or service. We went at lunch time where it was $19.99 a person which seems fair priced to me. The food was really good and the service was helpful to ensure we were doing it correctly. It was my husband’s birthday and they sang to him and gave him a little stuffed animal. I’d recommend giving this place a try!!

Below are a few reasons why.Big sign out front says $20 lunch $26 dinner 7 days a weekWhat it fails to mention is that dinner is actually all day on the weekends. The only place that says this is the back of the drink menu that they take away as soon as you order your beverage.The food was mediocre and the atmosphere was abysmal. Giant poorly designed and pixelated mural and the grill hoods were incredibly loud while still not removing all of the smoke. Couldnt hear anyone on the other side of my table and yet their eyes were burning due to no one nothing to change out our cook top.

Food is ok but most of it is Pork, for $28 per person should be better and more collection of fish and shrimp, but the thing make us upset when I ask for the bill the total should pay was $121 but they charge us the total $143 because they decide to include $22, they don’t even ask us if this fine with us, when I ask the waiter why you guys choose $22 tip without my permission they told me because we are 2 adults and 3 kids which is 5 people and we should gave this amount of tip for their service, it’s so ridiculous, we should not accept to pay for a such thing like this but I let it pass because we will never back again here.

We got a drink menu but not a menu saying prices of the dinner. They dont explain what the process is either. They just said go ahead get food and start cooking. This was my second time trying Korean BBQ and I’m super glad that my very experienced friend brought me here to KM BBQ.KM BBQ is conveniently located in a small shopping center just off of El Camino in Oceanside, California.This was my first time here and I totally enjoyed my dining experience.Thank goodness we could dine inside even though we are undergoing many Covid restrictions.Because we were able to eat inside and the lunch rush-hour was over, there was ample seating and distancing for us.Dining inside also meant we had access to an overhead-fan and a more traditional heating surface to cook on.The decor was Asian-inspired and simple (nothing flashy) and one could see the buffet station and kitchen from the dining area.Although the buffet was closed, it was good to know they had these options.This is still all new to me, so I enjoyed all of it.The service was friendly, fast and efficient and everyone was safe with masks and gloves.They also returned often to check on us to see if we were satisfied.We ordered a plethora of meats and were given 4 sides. I’m totally glad that my friends knew how to cook the food and multitask and my only responsibility was to EAT! Hahahahaha!!We had mushrooms, pork belly, shrimp, squid, octopus, meat, meat, MEAT!!What truly impressed me is that we stuffed ourselves in true ALL-YOU-CAN EAT fashion and it only costed us no more than $18 each!! This is not Korean bbq but it does look like one. None of the dishes I tasted had the authentic Korean food taste, like doenjang jjigae (miso soup), egg soufflé, even kimchi. Costco has better kimchi than this, and even then it misses the mark. The cucumber salad, sprouts salad are not even close to k food- you get the point.The buffet price is low because the cuts are not premium. Meats are not tasty.Less than 10 min away, there are better options- go there.The individual hood is great and the service is also great. Clean and well kept.

I like the way how they set up the vents. kbbq has a strong smell it can be overwhelming so how they set up the vent was great. Its about 1ft above the food so the smell travels up the vent and you dont smell too much of it.

Excellent value in Korean BBQ, what makes it great it is getting all of your food is self-service, no waiting for more food to be brought to you you get up and get what you want as much as you want bring it back to your table and cook it. You select from a wide variety of Meats and Seafood items as well as vegetables from a refrigerated buffet arrangement. You have access to korean-style side dishes some appetizers soup, rice everything you would traditionally find on the menu you dont have to wait for you just get what you want and enjoy your meal. Have a much better selection of fresh vegetables with broccoli, multiple types of peppers, onions, mushrooms more choices that you dont often find at traditional Korean BBQ.This is a Great Place for Good Value, healthy keto-friendly/low carb/gluten-free dining with a pleasant, simple straight forward presentation. Its not fancy, its nice, the value is definitely in the quality and variety of the food. The service for items not on the buffet such as drinks is attentive and very welcoming. What makes KM BBQ one of my favorite restaurants is as a longtime Atkins diet person I know that my money is it going for a lot of carbohydrates that I dont need or dont want like at most restaurants.

Selection of meat here is decent, its not the worst but its not the best. For starters most of the meat is not marinated or seasoned. The bulgogi marinated stuff has a different flavor than a typical bulgogi you would expect. I wasnt a huge fan as it was somewhat sweet? They do have seafood which is nice to have in an all you can eat place. The selection for vegetables is good. Banchan options are a little on the small side. The experience going there was very limited in explanation to people who have never gone to bbq before. Also at the end of the meal they added like a $50 tip to our bill even though we were only 6 people and they only refill your water and pick up plates every now and then. (You serve yourself and get all the food from a buffet style area) Just a meh experience, wouldnt reccomend for a seasoned korean bbq connoisseur and its difficult to recommend it to a first time. I would go elsewhere. If this business streamlined their setup and had something to explain kbbq to new people and didnt overcharge tips automatically it would be 10x better.

The cuts of meat were on point and they had whole shrimp head and all, well worth the price. Not sure about other reviews about quality of meats, Ive been to Manna in San Marcos and their meats were not much better. The house spicy dipping sauce was amazing. I like the serve yourself concept as opposed to having to wait to have things brought to your table. Steamed egg was great! There was plenty of banchan to choose from the self serve counter. This is an All-you-can-eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ restaurant that is self service buffet style. The way it works is theres an area in the restaurant where all the meats, veggies, side dishes, and sauces/seasonings are located. You grab it yourself (as much as you want) and then you cook it on the grill in the middle of your table.FYI, a good number of their meat is actually not seasoned so you can grab your sauces, salt, pepper, etc. to season the meat to your liking as you cook them. Of course, they also have marinated meats and seafood as well.Overall a good experience. The staff is nice and attentive too. I put my review as 4 stars (wish there was an option to do 4.5 instead) because it would have been helpful for them to ask customers if its their first time and to explain that some of the meat needs to be seasoned the way we want. Im more used to the kind of AYCE KBBQ restaurants where you order the meat and the server would bring it out to you already seasoned or marinated so it came as a bit of a surprise when my first bite of meat had no flavor during my first visit here.Also, maybe they could improve the exhausts above the grills. The smell of the bbq kind of sticks to my hair after I left the restaurant. Personally doesnt bother me cause it smells good but just thought it would be worth mentioning for those who might have other places to go after eating there.They have K-Pop music videos playing on the TVs for your entertainment. Theres also a challenge on the wall: theres a digital stopwatch. IF you can get the time to stop at exactly 10.00 seconds, your next meal will be free. But you can only try it once per person per visit. I tried it and stopped it at 10.02 secs! So close! It was fun though. Ill definitely be back.

We showed up at around 8 and there was no one dining in. We were greeted and asked “how many?” We tell them 2. He said “I’m sorry but we’re closed”. We thought it was odd that he asked how many first, so we called and asked if they could take a party of 10 and he said “10? Sure! What time?” We hung up. He even called us back to confirm our business. We let them know we were just there and were turned away and hung up again. 😂
