2023-11-21 21:10:30The ice cream is super rich and creamy. It was good. I felt like I was full after I ate half but it was good and I kept eating… so maybe don’t go if you don’t need to eat tons of ice cream. The ambiance was fun with little plushies on some shelves behind our bench against the wall. There was a little car in the corner by the door near the street entrance. The girls serving were nice too.All 5 of us loved our ice cream and finished it all up. Yum yum!

2023-09-27 19:55:31A great place for diner type food and delicious ice cream. Sundaes, floats, milkshakes, all the classics. Large portions! Perfect for kid’s birthday parties or sports team parties. Servers are friendly and good with the large groups.

2023-09-28 05:20:39Good looking ice cream. Tasted great. The inside is pretty spacious for an ice cream place. They seem to serve food too. I just tried the sundae and it was good. And it is quite expensive.

2023-12-02 05:17:03Ridiculously expensive. $9 for a cup of soup. Just had lunch there. 2 sandwiches with fries, 2 cups of soup and 2 iced teas came out to $78 after tax. Exorbitant even with todays inflation. Food wasnt bad and service was fine, but this is way too much to pay for diner style food. Could have gone for a steak at a nicer place for this kind of money. Only come here for ice cream.

2022-02-07 00:53:09Love this place. One of the best ice cream sundaes I’ve had till date. I made my own sundae with blueberry cheesecake ice cream and knudens toffee topped with caramel, hot fudge, nuts and cherry and it was out of the world . Also tried their beef chili and it was fresh and very tasty(not from a can). Though it’s a old restaurant it is very nicely maintained and clean. Loved their customer service as well. Definitely recommend this place! Kids would love it. It’s a Must visit !

2022-05-25 23:55:55Great place! Family friendly, tons of hand made ice cream, comfort food (American style), a sweet shop in the back, some coin operated cars for the kids right up front. Its got a real Happy Days 50s kind of feel to it.Toys line the walls to be purchased for the little ones. And its spacious, not crowded like many other places. Ample parking in the back. Big thumbs up.

2023-10-02 04:02:49Food was ok, had a bacon cheese burger, didnt know that the bacon and the cheese extra, the burger actually cost me close to $24.00,yeah. Had a malt with an extra scope of malt, was good, very good. But for $15.00. Dam should have looked at the menu closer, didnt have my glasses. Hell could have went and had s good steak for less.

2022-09-06 01:00:14🍨 Enjoyed this ice cream soda last week, but figured you all would appreciate it during Heat Wave 2022!🍒From old-school ice cream parlor Knudsens in Castro Valley, where you can choose your own fruit sundae topping to mix into the soda and youre preferred ice cream flavor scooped on top.🍪Did my coffee & cookie dough ice cream make much sense with a rasperry soda? Not really! But I still enjoyed every bite and sip and that I could choose whatever I wanted.

2023-08-03 00:24:40Came to eat on a whim based on lots of good reviews...Paid about $30 for a BLT and small scoop of ice cream. BLT was very small for the price ($18), bacon was reheated/pre cooked. The curly fries were decent, but the ranch tasted cheap and store bought. The ice cream tasted like cheap store bought as well. Nothing gourmet about any of the food. Counter staff insisted that I order ice cream at my table, presumably to increased my bill and warrant a higher tip. IMO I would have preferred to not be waited on at all, especially for all the sub par food. Wouldnt spend my money here if I were you.
