⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Had a delightful experience at Ko Ryo Jung Korean BBQ. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. The beef was incredibly fresh and, given the quality, the prices were very reasonable. The all you can eat option is a definite win, ensuring generous portions. I highly recommend trying their short rib and finger meat - both were flavorful and succulent. A must-visit! Highly recommended!

Came in with my family of 7 for a birthday. Our server was exceptionally nice, sweet, and always came to us with a smile. The food is quality and the mini bar with kimchi/sides were enjoyable. Music in the restaurant was not loud and the brightness of the lights were comfortable.

Came here with 9 and had a terrible experience. After we sat down and gave in our first order, the manager came and told us that larger parties has a mandatory 25% gratuity. Tipping is fine, not writing the mandatory fee on the menu is just malicious equivocation.Additionally the manager straight up stopped our orders from being processed. On the menu it explicitly says its one beef short rib per person, we ordered 4 and were stopped from additional orders.Finally we got kicked out of the reasturant because we asked the hostess why our orders were being cancelled.Our server was great and we ended up tipping 60 to the waiter.Glad to never come back again

I came before 5pm and we were seated immediately. A little bit after that, there was a rush of people and the wait outside was long. The place got a bit chaotic and too loud, expectedly. So come early.The food is great but tends to be a bit pricey. They bring the food at a reasonable time. The servers are friendly enough, not as attentive, but will help you the instant you catch their attention. Be assertive...this is survival of the fittest :)It looks like many of the complaints pertain to tipping. I hate the tipping system in the US, but I usually visit this restaurant with a group of four and tip the recommended amount. No problems so far, but the horrible experiences of others make me think twice about returning especially with larger parties.

I’m a very loyal person to places I enjoy. However when you do me wrong in any way I will not go back Not recommend the establishment any longer.My friend and I have been coming here for a few years now. The food I cannot complain about.It is great.The service is a hit or miss. You’re either going to get a person who is willing to engage with you or someone who doesn’t speak much at all.That’s what ever. But based on service is howI go about tipping as well. No where does it say tipping is mandatory!Which brings me to my whole point. They tipped themselves on my credit card!!That’s not only shady it’s embarrassing that they have no shame! I have my original receipt and the charge the bank shows me! And with reading other reviews this shows me they do this a lot. So I will not recommend this place to anyone and will let others know to not come here because they steal your money and feel they have a right to!

They make you pay for each person only to get the slowest cooking grills ever (can’t even cook the thin beef brisket), put a 2 hour time limit on your table and if you leave any meat because of your horrible grills you have to pay as if for “another” person. Don’t go here if you want Kbbq. Service though is pretty good.

I was refused service because I was just one person, and it’s a two person minimum. It’s their restaurant and their rules, but that was my experience being turned away because I was one person and this is my review.It was 1pm on a Tuesday and barely any other customers and no line. I could understand this more if it was crowded and peak hour. This was pathetic, I’ll never come back here solo or with company.

We were craving for Korean BBQ when we were in Torrance. My cousin’s kid recommended this cool Korean AYCE BBQ restaurant. The location was in an asian haven. I liked the ambience. The food were delicious. Definitely a must go if you love Korean BBQ like me.

This place is absolutely terrible. You should never come here. Don’t check it out, ever!Just kiddin’. The only downside to this wonderful place is the wait times when you don’t make a reservation on the waitlist during busy hours. This is a pretty typical all you can eat Korea BBQ. It may not have the freshest highest quality meat, but you only get those portions at pay by the order KBBQ restaurants.The wait staff is very busy but just as kind and attentive as they are busy.But please don’t come here. They are plenty busy enough and I don’t like to wait :-)

Meat was outstanding when they brought it.The server kept turning down the grill. It was like trying to cook with a bic lighter.Only refilled drinks once. He would walk by and turn down the grill but wouldnt ask if we wanted refills or more food. There was also a language barrier with the server.The place is run down.

Food, atmosphere, and especially the service was great, up until it was time to pay. We had a party of 13 and the bill was split into two tables (one of 6 and one of 7 people). Both checks were paid for with credit cards. A $40 cash tip was included on the seven person table. After our wonderful server picked up the cards to run them, we see him approached by who we could only assume was manager/boss/owner. This gentleman would continue to chew out and yell at the server and then walked away with the cards to run them. The same man would come back with our checks to be signed. When he picked them up he grabbed the check from the seven person table and asked why a $0 tip was given (after we saw him take the $40 in cash out of the booklet himself), we explained a cash tip was given and he went on to pretend to ask our server about it then tell us that they have a policy that once a check is given to a table, we are only allowed 5 minutes to leave. Not sure if this was a real policy or not, but regardless, will never go back and will be sure no one I know spends money at this establishment.

The prices were definitely on the upper end of KBBQ but the variety for the all you can eat option A is really expansive and its all delicious. There wasnt a single bit of meat that was disappointing. I appreciate that you can grab your own rice paper, but should you need to ask for something, the waiters are very attentive. I felt well treated and left very content with my meal and night out with friends. Worth every penny.

We were supposed to enjoy our time.This 1 star review is for the waitress who forced us to tip 25%, refuse to fulfill our orders (it is ayce!), and in the end ask us to leave. She claim herself as the hostess of the restaurant. Me and my family had the worst dining experience at this place. I have been here twice prior with my sisters and I immediately made plans to take there my wife and two kids. as soon as we got inside after placing ourselves on the wait list, we politely asked for an outside table. the older Korean man who took our order was a bit gruff but we understand. our order was delivered in bits and pieces and if we didnt follow up, we wouldnt have been served the sides. the grill was almost close to burning before anyone would take our order. the tall male server whose name we werent able to get just made a real cute habit of going to the table across us. this went in for 30 minutes. and I had to get up three times (!) to ask if we could get any service - i approached the older Korean guy in gray shirt, the angry older Korean lady in the front counter and finally, a younger petite Asian server who took pity on us and helped us with our order.FINAL VERDICT: the food was great. but the service was definitely one for the books - it was disgustingly horrific. we havent been treated with so much disrespect in any establishment before as this place has. go elsewhere with your money. and frankly, no amount of apologies from the old Korean guy in gray, would suffice because as soon as he was gone from sight, Mr Tall Server guy went back to his old ways.I hope they really revamp their ways of treating their customers. because I would have brought a lot more of my friends and family to this place had they treated us kindly.

Disappointed. Party of 5 for $175.00. Not worth it. They forgot my steamed egg which was ordered when i first arrived and never came out. Also never asked us if we wanted drinks. As a veteran enjoyer of KBBQ, I tend to judge places like this very harshly, especially when they are as expensive as this one! (Almost $30 per person, with a 2 person minimum.) However, Ko Ryo Jung checked all my boxes perfectly.Firstly, the grills are top notch. I think they may be treated cast iron (as opposed to wire, aluminum, or stainless steel). The meat cooked quickly, evenly, and never stuck to the grill. Despite how quickly the meat cooked, my hand never felt hot while cooking, which tells me that heat was not wasted (again, as opposed to wire, aluminum, or stainless steel).The selection of meat is stunning. Even on the limited menu (Menu A), you have exotic/non-standard choices, such as Baby Octopus. The meat is also of obvious quality, looking and tasting fresh from the time it arrives to the time you bite into it.The establishment allows you to order up to 3 plates of meat at a time, reducing wait times between meats drastically. In addition, the waitstaff is incredibly attentive and prompt. I never felt like I was waiting.I only have 2 minor complaints:Selection of sides is limited, compared to other KBBQ establishments. The sides are also self-serve, put out like a buffet line. (This is a negative in my opinion, especially during COVID Times.)Interior of restaurant is LOUD. I couldnt hear the music (Standard KPop fare, with the music videos playing on wall-mounted TVs) and I also couldnt hear my partner. This combined with the width of the tables made it near impossible to hold a conversation with her.All in all, unless you are looking for a venue for a romantic date, I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love this place, i can honestly say they have a complete menu when it comes to food.My only negative thing to say weekday lunch time serving 8 tables and when my friend was needed water i need to ask twice and felt bad that my friend needed it badly but wanst able to pay attention of urgency.At night or late afternoon server (mexican or other race not asian) did a great job serving multiple table with no problem. All evening server are great no doubt about that.The owner or manager is also very handowns to his customer (the asian man). He is alert of what the customer needed.I recommend eating here most likely late afternoon to dinner. Lunch depends if server are picky who they serve more. Somehow for me when service is great food tastes better. There were enough servers going around taking the finished dishes and prompt to asking (and bringing) the meat orders so we did not have to wait just looking at the grill. I also enjoyed the self serve banchan (side dish corner). Wraps, side dishes and some canned fruits options (pineapple, lychee, etc) for dessert).

This place is great if youre very hungry and love meat. The ambiance isnt up there with Gen, but then again, neither is the price. There are two price tiers, the higher one having additional proteins and sides including soup. The basic was good enough for us. In addition to various meats, the basic menu includes steamed egg, which the kids enjoyed. They dont automatically bring everyone rice and various pickled items like they do at Gen, although it is included. There is a small bar where you can get your own pickled items, potato salad, noodles, sauces, etc. Also, if youre thirsty and the service isnt fast enough, the pitchers of ice water are right there within reach. This place is definitely worth trying if you havent been. Just be sure to bring your appetite. Also, as with any Korean BBQ restaurant where you cook food at the table, its always a good idea to leave your jacket in the car as the smell permeates your clothing, hair, etc.

To summarize this large paragraph this place doesnt look anything like the photos (it was small and looked dirty). When my friends and I came in we were discriminated against, perhaps because were young, or perhaps because were young women. We noticed after being there for a few minutes that although we werent allowed to sit in the booths (that could hold 4 people) the older men (that came later than us) were. (Do note that they dont hold reservations).First of all, this place looks NOTHING like the photos. Recently went here a few days ago with a couple friends and upon entrance we were treated terribly. When we came inside it was around 4 and only two other groups were there with us. This group of older men and a family of around 6 to 8 people. We had three people, and when we asked to sit in the booth the waiter had to ask the boss if we were allowed. The boss said we could only sit in the wooden chairs. (Just a little extra side info: we called ahead to ask if they had reservations and they said no.) We didnt understand why we could not sit in the booth, but compliantly sat down in the wooden chairs. The grill was already in there so we dont know how long it was there because when we tried to cook the meat it kept sticking, and this was with our first plate of meat. We barely put two pieces of meet on and it was already sticking to the grill as if it hadnt been oiled well enough. The meat started to burn and fire started blazing out of the grill after only a couple minutes. We were initially going to leave because we felt like this place was just a scam. It looked nothing like the photos posted by the owner. We only stayed because of how hungry my friends were. After eating for a few minutes we saw these two men come in and they got to sit in the booth. What happened was extremy unfair and the owner was probably discriminating against us due to how were young women. (I dont believe everyone is discriminating against me because Im a woman, but probably because my friends and I are younger.) Even so, we are still paying the same price as every other person that walks into that restaurant and it was unfair that we were not allowed to sit in the booth which could hold 4 people and that the 2 older men were allowed when we had to sit in the cheap seats. Never coming back, if it werent for the decent waiters we wouldnt even have left a tip.

I visited this restaurant about 6:45 pm on October 10, 2018. There were 4 other diners at a single table in the restaurant. I was dining alone that night and was seated at a table for two with the typical Korean BBQ grill centered in the middle of the table. I was handed a menu by a waiter who left, then returned about 15 seconds later. He informed me that I could order from the menu but not the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, which is the reason I came to that restaurant. The waiter informed me that the all-you-can-eat menu required two people but that I could pay for two people and that would be OK. I left the restaurant. I had clearly been discriminated against by being a party of one. I STRONGLY advise avoiding this restaurant with its very strange requirements for dining. There are possibly other restrictions that I did not run into in my very short stay.

I would like to say that the owner and the staff are very friendly! They get busy at times but the staff is always hustling to make sure you have your order correct. Our first ever experience with Korean BBQ and we were not disappointed! Went with people who have been to lots of KBBQ places before and they said this was one of their new favs. The food came fast, waiters were attentive, marinated meat was flavorful, and the ventilation was great (which apparently is a problem in most KBBQ places). One of the coolest little hidden dives in the Southbay. You have to order their pork belly and brisket. Insanely great meat, in fact I talked with the manager and they actually use in not exactly 100% traditional meet, but a better quality meat altogether to make it more flavorful. The waitress, waiter, and manager are all super friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere reminds me of an old Bruce Lee film, very old-school barbecue, very old-school Korean crowd, but with a sprinkling of youth and the young business seen that comes in and knows what Goodfood is. There are only reviews that go years back so here is recent and very objective review. Basically, this place is just filthy as garbage as if they never clean the kitchen. When the mashed potato/salad was serverd, my friend spotted small fly which the body was partially mashed that we could even see its inside.
