Kobe Seafood & Steakhouse in Redding

10/19/23Birthday dinner here was awesome as always! We love to sit at the sushi bar and the amazing Mallory was our server. This young lady is absolutely the most charming, beautiful and intelligent server ever!The older gentleman was our sushi Chef and he rocked it. This man is a master! The plates were colorful, arranged perfectly, and delicious!Mallory makes you feel at home and appreciated. The people here make your dinner a dining experience! We cant wait to return!And I got the most delicious free dessert for my birthday!7/11/23We have dinner here once a month. Occasionally we do the tabenaki but primarily we eat sushi at the bar.Service is fantastic and the two sushi chefs are amazing! Freshest seafood in town and these chefs rock! Everything we have had is beyond compare and absolutely the best when youre in northern California! Do yourself a favor and dine at Kobe tonight!

Ordered the Kobe plate and there is nothing about this dish that was appetizing. Ordered medium rare and each piece was well done. Also, large portions of fat and little marbling throughout.I asked the waitress what cut of meat the steak is and she had no idea what I was referring to. She asked her manager and he said he also doesn’t know. That alone should have caused me to not order.

Absolutely love our experience every time we go here ❤️ we sit on the hibachi side (all but one time) and are never disappointed in the service, food or cooks! Wonderful place to go for a nice night out with your partner or for a fun dinner with your family. Oh and if you like a nice drink with your meal like I do I highly recommend the plum wine with sake 😉

We had the Hibachi and it was really delicious plus you get a lot for your money. The atmosphere is ok, although the other half of the area were we were seated was not cleaned up for a long time. Not appetizing to be looking at dirty dishes and glasses next to where Im eating.

We had our birthday dinner at Kobe. Jag was our server and we had the best time. He set up sake bombs and it was a blast. He helped us all pick out food that we would like and it was delicious. Our entire family was very pleased and had the best time. We will definitely go again.

I like the food! But I do like teppanyaki, so thats easy for me to enjoy.Parking can be either on the street or behind in open air lot. (Pay by meter box or online for convenience).The location of restaurant is right on the corner but not so fond of where it is in town. Bars are a couple doors down & there was some people arguing outside :(Good service though & friendly staff

The food was excellent, the service was prompt, and ALL of the staff were professional and went above and beyond to make our daughters birthday dinner special.

First time patron. Celebrating our Anniversary. Excellent food, great choices, staff is friendly, attentive & accommodating! As if thats not enough, theres entertainment too! The Chef was engaging and funny! Definitely well worth the cost! Had delicious food and a great time!

We went to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday but instead experienced the most unprofessional dining situation I’ve had in my life. We love Kobe and come often to celebrate throughout the year, but this time we were sat to dine with our server Jag’s baby mama and his child. The whole night was centered around his family, rather than to celebrate the birthday we came and paid to be there for. He spent most of the evening trying to spoon feed his cranky child who wouldn’t eat and to flirt with his girlfriend. Our evening consisted of this and worse. Our SERVER would lean his entire body over the hibachi table from the serving side to eat food off his baby mama’s plate. Sloppily. It was disgusting. We came to have a great night of celebration and left disgusted. I’ve never in my life watched waitstaff eat food with their fingers off another diner’s plate. I don’t care who they are, I’m not going to pay $100+ for a dinner to watch my server eat food with his fingers while we’re dining. This was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and our evening out was eaten up by bad service and low class behavior. Before this I would recommend Kobe to anyone I know. Today, I’d compare it to any other sloppy diner of choice that this town has to offer. But worse. I genuinely can’t believe what I saw tonight and we won’t be back anytime soon. Kobe, please clean up your act. You can do better.
