This Japanese Steakhouse offers live entertainment, bands, shows, etc... The food is delicious and the quality is superb! The sauces are not so good and could be much improved, as they do not live up to the other hibachi steakhouses, make sure to do a taste test before you dump them on your food. The chef was the best I have seen, his talent and entertaining level was off the charts! The entire service staff was very attentive and friendly.

Amazing food, service, and place to hang out. All the servers were super friendly and very quick to help and get you anything. The bartender was on every alcohol related drink in seconds and a very nice guy.

Wanted to listen to some live music and this was the place to be. Even though I had to pay a cover, pulse a minimum for food and drink it was worth it because I hung out with my girl. You won’t be disappointed. Plenty of parking and the food is fine.

Wow very impressed. My wife is gluten-free and this place took care of her. We asked our server if she could get teppanyaki gluten-free and he assured of the chef would take care of it and use gluten-free soy sauce. The chef prepared hers first and did a great job of avoiding cross-contamination. The server was also very aware of other items that might contain gluten. Most Japanese food could easily be gluten-free, it is just usually just because of the wheat in soy sauce, and my wife often craves Japanese food. Well come back for sure.

Went here for dinner over the weekend and they have a band playing. The atmosphere is lively and quite crowded. We ordered steak and salmon teriyaki (separate dishes). Both tasted pretty good. The veggies that it came with had some flavor in them. The steak is not that warm when it was served. The service is also slow, but maybe its bec of the weekend crowd. Next time we might try teppanyaki. We got to watch some of the showmanship from the teppanyaki bar and its pretty entertaining.

Chef Tony who cooked for us was just so great! His cooking was just right and extremely well cooked. He cooked my steak just as how I like it. Server Asia was friendly and gave us great service! Will definitely give 10/10 and come back to dine again.

We went for dinner to see the show. And I have to say that we were pleased that the workers were friendly, and the food was pretty good. We enjoyed their filet mignon—it was tender. But I did wish the sauces were more flavorful and the fried rice less salty. However, our overall experience was good.

We had an early Mothers Day celebration and it was fantastic! We saw Beatles tribute and had THE BEST service by Michael at the bar and fab food weve had in a looong time for a buffet. The price was affordable $17 per person for show seated at bar and $45 each for buffet and bottomless champs 🍾! The sushi was fresh and the choices imo were great. I will DEF be back for show or dinner like hibachi.

The service was good and staff was friendly. You can reserve or walk in. They have a live music section $20 cover (different musicians so price may vary). Fried Gyoza was delicious. Fried Tempura was delicious. The OMG sushi roll was delicious. The Emperor Kobe stake was alright. It was buttery, nice and tender, but little more seasoning was needed seemed a bit bland for a $179.95 (for that price I expected perfection).

Ive only gone for their Beatles tribute Band and Live Breakfast with the Beatles... which is a buffet of sushi, salad, steak and eggs, other breakfast food, and desserts. Great spread! Bottomless mimosas... highly recommend the experience if you love the Beatles.

We got there 10mins after our reservation. I had called ahead and they told me I had a 15min grace period. We arrived and they checked us in. We were the only ones in the waiting area. Then more guests start to arrive for reservations later than ours and they start to seat them. At this point Im starving but I wait patiently. They continue to seat people before us. It is now an hour later and they finally seat us.I can understand there is a system but please communicate that to your guests. Why should I sit there and feel overlooked for being 10mins late when you told me you would wait for me but then dont seat me till the next hour. That could have been easily explained.Once seated the service was awesome. Our server and cook were funny and suggestive. Food was good and so were the drinks. We left satisfied.

They had live music and the food was AMAZING and perfectly cooked. I ordered the Chilean Seabass Teppanyaki and the fish was cooked perfectly. The chef put on quite the show. We were celebrating my birthday as well as my sons first, both of which I will cherish this memory forever. Food was great and cooked to perfection I cannot hesitate that fact, and the band that played was awesome as well. It was a swing band playing the well known classics of which I dont know the names, just that Ive heard them before. Its a bit pricey, but you definitely get the quality that you pay for. I highly recommend for any celebrations, but also make reservations ahead of time. They can be made online or by telephone.

This is a favorite spot on the LA OC border, and the food is always good. Watching the chefs on the grill is an experience, and is fun to watch as well as eat. There is often live music, great bar, and service is good. Parking can be a pain, but they do have valet. One thing to keep in mind is you are paying for dinner and a show of sorts, so expect your date night or night out to be expensive for you average Joe.

Great food, good service. Expensive, but its great for a special occasion. It did take us 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation, but I think thats due to CoVid and having to space out so many seats to keep everyone safe.Steak was so tender and well cooked. Our chef was super fast and our server was very attentive.Well return for another special occasion, skip the sushi bar items and just concentrate on the teppan items.

First time in this restaurant after pandemia happened. We made a reservation in advance since the hostess of this restaurant said reservations are recomended specially for the weekends. When we arrived, they asked us if we wouldve liked to get a drink at the bar since they were setting up our table which we did. Bar was pretty empty and bartender and drinks were good. Our sits at the Teppanyaki table were distant from another couple in the same table, we were only four in our table. Chef assigned was great and food as well. We were happy with our experience and will come back again.

So so tapenyaki restaurant. Nothing to write home about and definitely not as good as Benihana. Tapenyaki starts at 27 and goes up. It doesn’t come with ice cream either. 5 of us paid $220 with 2 beers. The place was also half full.

We went for a birthday celebration. So much fun! We shared a rib eye and it was delicious. It came with a shrimp appetizer, which was all freaking good, even the veggies were really tasty. Sorry I dont have pics of the steak. The chef was fun and funny, was our waitress was great! I would come here for any occasion.

I’m not the biggest fan of hibachi style restaurants but as they go this is one of the best I’ve been to. The cook was entertaining and funny as they always are and the food was great. The drinks were expensive but equivalently filled with alcohol and super yummy. The menu was full of choices to satisfy everyone. If you’re looking for great Hibachi and don’t mind the pricing this is as good as it gets.

Went there with my family for a birthday dinner and I ordered a shrimp and chicken combination plate which came with rice, salad and some veggies. The meals were expensive and I only received very little on my plate. Only 9 small pieces of shrimp and the guy trashed the rest of the shrimp saying thats left overs. My other family members didnt receive much either and was disappointed. The guy that made our food tossed the left over shrimp away I saw him put the rest on a disposable tray. I asked him are you not giving us the rest of the shrimp u just made? And he responded by no thats left overs. Well if Im paying 50 dollars and up for our meals I should be getting more than what he gave us and was passed he wasted the rest of the food he should have given us. Will not be going back and would not reccomend.

This has been our local, go-to steakhouse for the past 13 years. What I love about it is atmosphere. You can sit at a table, the bar, or indulge in teppanyaki. If you sit at the bar you can enjoy the music from their special events for free. Speaking of music, they do Breakfast with the Beatles on select Sundays. We got the opportunity to take my mom and she absolutely loved it.As for the food, I can only speak for the steak teppanyaki. I think I have had all cuts and have almost always walked away satisfied. There was a period of time around 2019 when the food was under seasoned and after 2, 3 visits of that I was close to not returning. Luckily, they must have corrected the issue since the pandemic because things are tasting good again.Nice place, good food and drinks.

Today was my 58th birthday celebration. I went with my girlfriend and her 20 year old daughter. We had a blast. The cover band was super fun. Made me so nostalgic hearing songs from my youth. I sang, clapped laughed, and almost cried a few times just thinking of passed memories. The most fun Ive had in years. Music was great, food was awesome. Seating was perfect and not overly crowded. Couldnt have picked a better place to celebrate my birthday. I will be going back for more soon. Cant rate the place any more than the best time Ive had in years 5 stars all the way. Our daughter even had a fun time which was a little surprising, but she recognized a lot of songs so it wasnt boring for her. Totally recommend kobe steakhouse sunday brunch.

We ate there on a Wednesday night and it was not busy, I can’t see a reasonable explanation for the delay. Even if I could, nothing can justify substituting Ahi as Big Eye Tuna. Took my wife out here for her birthday. We’d both been wanting to try out a good wagyu steak. The atmosphere was really nice to start. We got the emperor steak, and the miso soup was really excellent. Got the gyozas and tempura which were also very good. For some reason our drinks came out super late, and we had to ask multiple times for them. Right as we got the appetizers the main course came out, which was a bit weird to me. Everything looked good, but when I cut into the steak it was cold. My wife had the same issue. When I asked the waitress about it, she told me it’s usually room temperature. I couldn’t believe it. She went to talk to the manager I guess, and she gave me the option to reheat my steak or to remake it. I felt weird at that point about either option so I declined and just mustered through it. Ate maybe half of it. The steak overall super disappointing. So if you go for other stuff you’ll probably have a good meal, but avoid the steak. You could get a better one for a fraction of the price anywhere else.

The waitress was not friendly at all. In fact after taking our order and delivering the food to be cooked we never saw her again till bill time. The food was not good, ok at best, the kids took a few bites of their kids chicken and wouldnt eat the rest as it had a odd flavor and for the prices the beef was very tough. We all ordered different desserts and all did not get finished because they were not good. For $50 I left still hungry, disappointed and not willing to come back again. The show of cooking the food was entertaining but it had zero flavor, even the fried rice was a dud in the flavor department.

A great place for date night or to take a party like the birthday going on behind us. Food was very good, drinks too. Service superb. Nice (mostly) quiet atmosphere (occasional crowd noise when the theatrics get going at the teppan tables but it doesnt last long). Certainly quieter than Spaghettini next door. And a lot easier to get a table - 15 minutes vs 2 hrs on a Wednesday night. What we paid included a couple of drinks each, no dessert.

First thing I have to say is there is NO YUM YUM SAUCE! I know to some people this might be really important and to me it was. Even the couple next to us was surprised that they did not have it. I have eaten at many Japanese grills all around this state and the US and this is the first time this happens. So be warned. We got mixed Tempura and it was great. The food was good, I think they could put more butter in the cooking. Overall it was an ok experience, staff, chef and environment was good.

OMGOODERNESS, I celebrated my 51st 🎂 Saturday, March 10, 2018. I had a wonderful time with my sister and great friends old and new. This lively establishment is very crowded and reservations is best. I wouldnt go without making one. The band was AWESOME and sang oldies and entertained everyone. NO complaints at ALL! I enjoyed myself to the fullest.😄Theres a small dance floor, but everyone just moved in close and danced the night away! Loved the food and customer service plus everyone was so nice. I especially loved the multicultural vibe. Like family partying together. I will definitely be stopping by again and this place is family friendly as well. Came in for a birthday dinner and was greeted by a polite employee outside. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. After that the evening went south. I let the host know we were there for a birthday dinner when they walked us to the table because i know they do a birthday treat and song. As the chef arrives i greet him with a tip and let him also know that is my friends birthday. The chef was not personable. He did not to make my friends day special. The chef then left and began cooking at another table was was doing so much flair that our table made a comment on how he did none of that. After a while our check was presented to us and i walked over to the host stand and asked if she had notified our server about the birthday girl. The host told me he did and when I asked the server she said sorry and that they forgot. Over all it was not a pleasant experience, ruined a birthday, and wasted my money.

As such, it felt gentle, but undercooked. I thought maybe its just me, so I let my wife and FIL to try it, and they both confirmed that it just tastes odd (especially considering the price of 190$+). I guess it would be an interesting experience for those who never had it before, but if you ever had a good Wagyu, trust me, you can tell this one isnt it.Sushi/Rolls (5/5) - cannot complain, I always get the same stuff, Kobe roll and it never disappoints. As someone who is gluten free, its hard to find a good variety of sushi rolls, but our server, Gabriel (Gabe), helped me identify and even checked in with the kitchen to ensure the two I ordered were gluten free: the baked Chilean sea bass roll and the Kobe roll. I was so excited to try out a new place for date night, but our experience fell very short of anything spectacular. We waited almost an hour to be seated meanwhile we had a reservation. There were larger parties who arrived way after us (45 minutes) but were seated first due to their size. Granted, our server moved fairly quick to get us going, which was nice but Again more waiting followed to now get a box and our bill. By this time, we could not wait to get out of there. I asked to speak with management finding out the individual we had most issues with was the manager. Unfortunately, she was so scattered and all over the place effecting service GREATLY. When our disappointment was brought up again, she encouraged we not tip the staff for her error and that was even more troubling. She offered to comp our current bill or give her the opportunity to redeem herself with a gift certificate to return, which we opted for a 2nd chance understanding that things happen, but the certificate wasn’t even enough to cover one of our meals. All in all HUGE disappointment. Save your money, this place is not worth it by any means.

Really fun and SAFE. The staff were so nice, everyone wore masks. The place was well decorated, tables kept a good distance apart, (no one was over crowded at all). Staff was really good at picking up finished dishes and checking on how we were doing, drink refills, etc. And they took multiple pictures for our table. I said I didn’t order anything lol I said you took our order he said I know I’m sorry I forgot. We spent 2.5 hours there and well close to $1000.000. This place is trash. They charge extra for fried rice. It’s supposed to be miso soup not French’s onion dirty water soup. It was horrible. For two people it was $172 and just to put this out there at shoguns in corona which is the same food it cost $200 for five people and the food was so much better I will never go back to Kobe‘s steakhouse again. This restaurant was a very joyous surprise! From outside it looks like any other quiet, slow paced, restaurant. We entered and were met with a busy bar, tepan style dining tables filled with people watching the chefs prepare their meals, a band setting up for live music, and the busy staff rushing to serve everyone. My wife ordered the filet and lobster. The Kobe steak was incredible. It was so soft that it literally melted in my mouth. There was a good portion of grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes with julienne vegetables included; an excellent meal. The filet had a nice crust around a tender center, the flavor was delicious. The lobster was a good size and cooked perfectly. Our server frequently checked on us, even though they were extremely busy. The band started playing and the place filled up even more. Overall, we had a great time. This is definitely going to be one of our regular spots. 10 out of 10! Oh, did I mention that we ended up here after being ignored by the staff at our local TGIF restaurant and walking out?

I have only been here for the breakfast with the Beatles champagne brunch, so I cannot speak for their dinner or lunch service. The Sunday brunch is excellent with all you can drink mimosas, excellent breakfast items, and really great sushi. Service it always spot on and we never find ourselves with an empty glass.

We were told the wait would be 20min. 20min passed then 40 then an hour so we left. We didnt have a reservation but also the people coming in AFTER us didnt either. The difference was that they karened their way to a table and we just waited quietly.

We had an amazing Server! She was just lovely. We had to make reservations no walking the day we went or I am not sure if that is usual. I didnt like the mustard sauce or the ginger sauce. the teriyaki sauce was great.

If you have food allergies, stay away. I notified the server of my food allergies, and the chef first gave me a plate full of shrimp (one of my allergies) then tried to give me a plate of steak that had a lump of butter on it and soy sauce (dairy and gluten). Had I not noticed, I could have had an allergic reaction, which for me means a trip to the hospital, not mere tummy pains, mind you. Then I had to wait for another steak that came out rare when I had ordered medium-rare, but ate it because I was sick of waiting, but the cherry on top was that they not only charged for the first meal but the second steak as well. I should mention I did not get any vegetables with either of my orders. Just steak. When my friend tried to explain it to the server, the server said it was too much to take off one of the steaks, took his card and walked away. Didnt even give my friend a chance to speak after. It was extremely loud in there too so he had to raise his voice which probably put off the server, but thats no excuse for that behavior. He then brings the card back and says the first meal was taken off and then apologized, but I know damn well he wasnt sorry. Ive worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and Ill tell you right now that he didnt care one bit about the mistake. One that could have put me in the hospital had I not been paying attention. A few more little things; how does a Japanese restaurant not have brown rice for people with allergies to white rice? My hole-in-the-wall place place down the street has brown rice but this big fancy restaurant doesnt? Didnt appreciate the fan blowing on me on max level the whole time, good thing I brought a jacket. Not one good thing to say about this experience. Made my friends birthday feel awkward to say the least.

The chef was spectacular. This place was the most fun I had during my time in California. The steak was absolutely incredible, the shrimp fantastic. Absolutely delicious hibachi that I dont think Ill ever forget.

Great place but the Venue dance floor area is HORRIBLE. Way to small, they have plenty of money to expand so do something, it will bring more money revenue in the long run. Also, they use to much salt on their rice, etc. Prices are a bit high for adult beverages also. But their bartenders are great.

Great restaurant but......They have great food and great service. Ive always been satisfied with the restaurant. However, on a recent visit, I had an existing reservation for a regular table (when you reserve you have an option between a regular table and Teppanyaki). When we arrived at the restaurant they said that all the tables are busy and that we must sit at the Teppanyaki and order only from the Teppanyaki menu (which is more expensive). We stayed more than an hour at the restaurant and it was clear that more than 60% of the tables were vacant. This is not right. They try to increase their revenue by forcing everyone to use the Teppanyaki.

Okay this place is great. Probably one of the best buffet style brunches around. They do breakfast with the Beatlesand have a band there and every other weekend they actually broadcast live on KLOS. If youve never been there its enjoyable you should give it a try.

More of a fun experience than a delicious meal. Watch a master chef cook with style with a group of your friends or coworkers. Theres fire, knife juggling, and LOTS of butter but you lose out on taste. Friday nights are also VERY loud with live music so dont expect to make conversation. The right way to enjoy Kobe steakhouse is to enjoy the chefs show, eat the food, and quickly get to the bar and dance floor.

Very good experience overall. The Chefs are always full of personality, we went in 11/13 which was a Friday and they had live music outside while abiding by Covid regs and restrictions. Pricing, I feel, is reasonable all things considered. For $150 including tip, we split a large Sapporo, large hot sake, lobster, angus beef, shrimp, fried rice, veggies, salad, soup, a special roll. Make sure to order your fried rice separetly, its not necessarily included.

Since my birthday back in March, this has been our go to place whenever we are in Long Beach. Although we came a few hours before closing, they still gave us great service. Oh, and dont let me forget the band! They are amazing😍
