Sushi was good and fresh. You order at the counter and then take your seat. Food came out fast and soup was hot and tasty. I had the Udon. Very quiet atmosphere. No cocktails.

Took a chance and wanted to try out a Ramen spot. Kojis did not let us down. Excellent food. Ordered the Tonkutsu Ramen combo with gyoza. The family order some of the other Ramens as well. All were good. Definitely our new go to when at Cal Poly!!!

This was my first time here, I heard good things about the food. And they were correct. The food was phenomenal. Unfortunately, that is all that was positive about my visit. To start, you have to order and pay upfront. So if you want seconds or add anything, youll have to stand in line and pay again. I asked for recommendations and got short, fast answers. You dont have many options for beverages, bottles, and cans only. I ordered four appetizers and asked for them to come out first. They didnt. Im not one to complain, so I just made the most of it. I might be back.

Probably the best Ramen Ive ever had.. i had the spicy koyjin Ramen... it was amazing and true to its name. Spicy but oh so good . The noodle texture hit differently here from previous Ramen shops they tasted amazingly good. Cant wait to come here more.. I normally never finish an entire bowl but as my pick shows theres always a first for everything

Today I ordered the spicy koji ramen combo that came with a side of shrimp tempura and the miso ramen for my daughter. Both of our soups were perfect. The miso ramen has a nice strong miso taste. The tempura batter was nice and crunchy and the spicy ramen had a nice kick to it

I have ordered take away from here a few times. Like that you can mix and match the broth and soup. The spicy kim chi is tasty. The black garlic broth is also good. The egg is well cooked. The pork is very tender. Nice ramen spot. The potstickers are also yummy!I have also tried their sushi and it is very good...salmon sashimi, rolls, and seaweed salad are all great!!

Was not expecting this restaurant. I was kinda tried of a normal bowl of ramen. Found this gem on Google coz its close to my place. I ordered spicy Koji ramen not knowing what it was. After the first sip, Im happy for visiting the restaurant. Spicy Koji ramen is a spicy season ramen with mussels, shrimps, squid and cabbages. I think the owner could be Korean? Thus the spice level and taste is kinda Korean. Overall good food.

Dined here for lunch on the quick. Pretty much an average experience. The ramen were pretty standard. Nothing really stand out. The fried squid legs were a little better. Service was decent and plenty of tables to accommodate big groups.

This ramen spot was amazing! The broth was so savory and pleasing to my taste buds! I got the spicy vegetarian ramen and I expected decent vegetarian-based broth but was pleasantly surprised to find the broth was so packed with flavor! As a connosseur of spicy cuisine, the spicy broth is definitely not for the fiery-faint-of-heart, but addicting none the less! The ramen noodles were thick and chewy, just how I like them; their coloring was yellow, what I would expect from traditional Japanese ramen! The veggie gyoza was crispy and the fried rice was superb! I will definitely frequent this local gem more often! I highly recommend this restaurant to satisfy the craving for authentic Japanese cuisine! If you check in on Yelp! you get a free 4-piece gyoza!

Its been hit or miss at this place today was a hit. It was a slow day schools out holidays etc, and food was great. This is my favorite ramen shop! Their Impossible Vegan Ramen is my go-to. Its so creamy, delicious, and filling! This place is a hidden gem, dont be fooled, this is the kind of hole-in-the wall you visit often and gatekeep a little bit (except your best friends of course) to keep it to yourself. The staff are very sweet and attentive and its a perfectly clean shop every time Ive been there.

Small restaurant close to Cal Poly Pomona with excellent ramen and other Japanese dishes on the menu. The experience is informal, right in line with a college locale. Menus are posted at the entrance, you order at the cash register and then are directed to a table based on your party size. Drinks are available from a refrigerated display case ( with some unusual and tasty options in addition to the standard sodas and teas). I tried ramen and my family ordered the spicy pork bowl and a special of the day with chicken and rice. We all enjoyed our meal, including the vegetable spring rolls (which were freshly made and came with a delicious sauce). We were all impressed with the food quality. Service was friendly and fast, even though we arrived right during the dinner rush.

Honestly my top ramen place and Im soooo glad its around the down the street from me.Every dish Ive had has been delicious! Spicy seafood ramen is my go-to 😋I love that their to-go ramen is in a separate area of the container so that the noodles dont get soggy in transport.I absolutely love this place and I decided to bring some for my coworkers lunch one day since I was going in during their lunchtime.Well now they ALSO crave it every so often to the point that one of us will forfeit our lunch time just to drive the distance to pick up the food - I work in Ontario. Having lived in Okinawa Japan for 5 years. The Ramen and fried rice is the closest of any other establishment Ive had stateside. The gyoza is almost crunchy and is perfect. I have eaten here once, and it was last year. The meals were quite delicious. This restaurant has a good variety of ramen meals to choose from. Furthermore, they have a good variety of sushi plates to choose. The place itself is clean. However, one drawback is that the place usually gets packed during lunch time. At that time, there is no place to sit down. While wait time for meals is quite long. So, I would recommend to come after, or before, lunch.

Tried Koji Ramen for the first time and it was really good. Our table had three different broths and all were very good. They use thick chewy noodles like you find in the Ramen shops of Tokyo, with healthy portions of veggies, meats and a perfect medium gooey half egg( not hard boiled bit also not runny, just right). My veggies were chopped into smaller pieces and then quick stir fried in black garlic oil, crunchy but not raw, again just right. Will for sure go back to try more of their menu.

Best ramen hands down in Southern California. I was scrolling through the other reviews and I really don’t understand what the complaint is from the one star reviews. They have delicious ramen and excellent customer service every time I go, and if they make a mistake they’ll gladly help you however they can. They truly deserve 5 stars and if you’re a sane person you’ll agree with me!I recommend that you try their Spicy Koji Ramen, and if you like an extra crunch in your ramen add extra cabbage or napa! The Black Yasai is to die for as well.recently it seems as if they’re short staffed but they try their best to bring out the orders in a timely fashion. It is a nice Japanese restaurant. It is located, in what used to be California Sushi & Teriyaki. The meals are quite delicious. Especially delicious are the ramen soups. Nevertheless, without soups, they have a good selection of sushi, to choose from. The prices, though, are on the expensive side. Despite that, this place is worth every penny. The reasons are delicious meals, clean and neat environment, and polite staff. Also, I would recommend to come early, since the place, before the pandemic, was usually full around noon, and there were no places to sit down. So, I would recommend to visit this establishment, after the lockdown, before noon, or afternoon.

Then when my friend who was already hungry went to pick up said that I did not place an order. A few months back, I was ordering delivery and had a hankering for ramen. I have tried many in the area and as a former college student, am capable of making quite a tasty and economic batch myself. But I digress.On Grubhub, Koji Ramen popped up and after a lot of deliberation (and some drooling), I opted for the Spicy Seafood Ramen. Easily the absolute very, very best ramen on this side of the Kuiper Belt. This is the standard for how an exceptional ramen should taste. If you find one that is half as good, that would still be a very good ramen; however, Kojis ramen is truly off the charts. I found out a little later that they also do fantastic sushi as well.You dont even have to die and go to Heaven for this magnificent feast because Kojis masterpieces can be delivered!

One of the best ramen places in the area, at least for my wife and I. The broth in outstanding, some of the best either of us have had, and the noodles are the right amount of chewy. They are thicker noodles, which my wife normally doesnt like, but there is something about these noodles that is just always spot-on. The price isnt ridiculous either, which is great because some ramen places can get absurd with the cost when you start adding in extras, but you get a good amount of add-ins with the base offering here.Our only complaint is that the protein options are just mediocre. My chashu always seems underwhelming, both in terms of taste and amount. My wife gets chicken and tofu typically, and says that the chicken is quite dry and the tofu is mostly flavorless.Whats more upsetting is that this ramen experience is the exact opposite of our other go-to ramen place, Slurpin Ramen Bar; they have great chashu, chicken, tofu, and just generally all of their add-ins are amazing, but their broth and noodles are definitely not as good as Koji. We would love to see some kind of fusion between these two places where ideally you get the top-quality add-ins with great broth and amazing noodles.

This was a realllllly average place. Their noodles are fatter than other places and the broth is so so - not much flavor. The Char shu is pretty lean also. I didn’t finish my bowl. They were generous with the seafood in the spicy Koji Ramen though. My friend who got the regular tonkotsu agreed.Te California roll was a good size - lots of crab but not much in contrast of a crunch. The free gyoza with checkin was okay.Service was okay. I wouldn’t come back here again but it’s not terrible.

Recently ate at this location yesterday and the customer service provided by a young man was absolutely mediocre. He could not care less to ask our table if we needed any refills for water; and to top it off the young lady had to tell him more than three times how to do his job!I ordered the Koji Ramen special and to find out that it had shellfish and other sorts of seafood. When I had asked the gentleman for a refill of water he took more than 5 minutes and tended more to them then my party. He seemed to be very neglectful and not present at all during our dining experience. Again I had to ask the young lady for a refill of water; just to end up hearing her tell the gentleman that we needed water for the 2nd time. After he waited our table he asked us hows everything?I replied to him saying that I was upset with what I ordered considering the fact that my mussels in the ramen tasted crude, and undercooked.He couldnt care to offer a refund for my order, nor offer something else on the menu for the inconvenienceI am not allergic, though soon after arriving home my face and eyes were blood shot red and my body was covered with hives. In addition I had a severe migraine, and excruciating nauseating pain. My fever spiked up to 102.7. My bp was 176/127 and soon after I was rushed to the E.R.As a result of waiting in the hospital for over 8 hours, they diagnosed my w/ FOOD POISONING. I also thought it was ironic that during my visit i remember seeing a sign posted on the wall that stated eating seafood may increase your risk to food borne illness.I do not recommend this place to anyone if youre considering a place with good customer service along with good quality food. The ramen was mediocre, the service was unwelcoming. Completely a mess!

Simply amazing! Had the tonkatsu ramen with pork chashu which the broth is vibrant with flavour, the chashu is perfectly done an could be a stand alone item all by itself. I added in some bamboo shoots, red ginger, and their chili oil which just upped the meal. Their garlic edamame is wonderfully prepared and tasty! This place is one of, if not, the best! Would most definitely recommend to others and will DEFINITELY be back!

Best ramen out of the ten or so places Ive ever been to. Im no ramen expert, but I love good food and this place never failed to impress me. I stopped by this ramen place as i saw a sign that they have a grand opening special for ramen, buy one get one 50 percent off. I got the spicy tonkotsu and my friend got the spicy miso ramen. The spicy tonkatsu was flavorful and the handmade noodles were the perfect texture. We also got the takoyaki and gyoza and some rolls and everything was delicious. The ramen is normally $9.95 which is on the cheaper side. I would recommend dropping by to check it out and take advantage of their grand opening promotion.

This used to be Maka Ramen but is now under new ownership. Today was their Soft Opening so we expected a few things to potentially be out-of-sync. They currently have family and friends working as temporary servers but unfortunately they dont know whats available or in stock (such as which beverages they have, or which menu items are currently available). These type of things are to be expected though. The menu has been slightly changed and truncated so keep that in mind. Our server stumbled through placing our order and the food finally came out after 40 mins. Unfortunately, the vegetarian orders had meat included. Luckily those guests were okay with simply picking the meat out, which definitely made things easier and quicker. The most disappointing aspect is the food wasnt as flavorful as before. There were four servers working simultaneously, and this isnt a large restaurant, but they were still overwhelmed. Obviously everything is in transition so you may choose to wait a few weeks, and hope they get things settled.

My girlfriend and I went here last night and it was so good. We ordered the Shoyu Ramen Combo with Pork Gyoza, and the Gyoza were some of the best Gyoza we have ever had. Also, the ramen was really good, and the pork in it was really good too.
