At first I only left a 5-star review to get a free slushy, BUT THEN after eating, I thought an actual review would be better. Creamy ramen was so flavorful and yummy. The crispy chicken tenders WOW. And the slushy iced tea was the perfect treat. To say the least, I would recommend trying this place. good price too!And I quote from my boyfriend “If all restaurants in that center were free, I’d still pick this place”.

Five stars for what it is: A beachside Ramen restaurant with no atmosphere, but really good reasonably priced food and nice service.The Ramen seems to be more chicken based than pork basedI had their creamy collagen broth ramen with extra chicken and was very pleased; could probably have used some chili peppers though.The interior is very small, so not much seating, but outdoor places are available at Fujiyama restaurant.

Both clear and creamy are Decent Ramen broth. I didnt like the noodle that much. My pee get so artificially yellow afterward. Small store with a couple of seatings. Decent pricing. Self service. The kitchen people work very hard.

My friend told me that the ramen at this place was terrible. However, with 130 reviews on Google and a 4.9 rating, I thought it couldnt be that bad. I tried it today, and honestly, its the worst ramen Ive ever had. You guys should try it for yourselves.

This tiny little hole in the wall has literally 5 things and 5 things only on their menu. And I mean that in the best way possible. You know any place with a small menu are the best places to eat. Ain’t no way you can stay in business if your one item you serve is bad. The food here is fantasticThey have 3 appetizers: chicken tenders, chicken potstickers, & impossible potstickers. 2 entrees: chicken ramen with clear broth or chicken ramen with creamy broth. The ramen can also be served with Chashu for $1.50 extra or with tofu instead of sous vide chickenWe ordered one of each ramen and the chicken tenders. I never had ramen that was so rich yet so light at the same time. Tonkotsu to me - is overrated and way too heavy. I want decadence without the guilt which I never thought was possible till I had this ramen. My only wish is that the ramen had more meat but that’s ramen in general, ramen is never served with a lot of protein. My last rec is that the eggs were soaked longer for more flavor. The eggs were slightly bland but still good. I think the broth could use just a TOUCH more salt to bring out the flavor better. The broth and chicken were the stars of the showThey also served pink lemonade and Thai tea slushies. Slightly too much ice for me but still goodTo top it all off, the prices are reasonable (almost too reasonable) about $14 for a large bowl of ramen, and the service was phenomenal. Expect to wait about 10-15 minutes for your food as everything’s prepared fresh. I think I’ll be back again today lolTo the guy (Thien Win) who gave the bad review bc his pee was discolored after eating… pls don’t blame this delicious ramen for YOUR poor health

Amazing ramen. They use real bone broth they even do it well to go with separate containers so it doesn’t go soggy! It inexpensive for what you get and they are friendly, fast and tasty. Highly recommend !

Brought my son here for his first ramen experience and it was amazing. Friendly, helpful staff who made sure we felt comfortable while serving outstanding food. We had the clear broth with chicken, chicken potstickers, white rice, and a side of the crispy chicken tenders. My son said he would give them 10 stars if that was an option. Thanks Kokiyo!

Found this great little spot though Instagram. The waiter at the front was super friendly and helpful and offered to help if I had any trouble using the kiosk when ordering. Food was amazing and cheaper than I expected. If I had to nitpick it’s that there isn’t a lot of seating available.

Hidden gem of a ramen spot. Came at 3pm and it was easy to order and sit down (limited seating). Best ramen weve had in the states. Ordered the creamy broth ramen with chicken, which was tender. My 2 year old daughter loved it as well.We also ordered the fire chicken tenders. Great flavor and crispy. Not very spicy which was fine with us. Owner and staff are very friendly!

I came to this place because I saw it on tiktok And instagram. they have a poor service! The music is too loud that the cashier can‘t here our names and order properly. We waited for our food for 30 minutes. And there was a group of people after us, how come they got there order first before us. I follow up with our order and telling us they will start with our order!! Like what?! I would understand if the store is big and they have crowded people but the fact they only have less than 10 people in the store. They would know who ordered first. We are so hungry that we just left the store and not wait for another 30 minutes for our food! It’s not worth of the hype!

I got the creamy chashu ramen and all of the ingredients were extremely flavorful... except the egg and broth; the egg was barely flavored and was just a basic hard boiled egg...the broth is more sauce than broth and isnt very seasoned. HOWEVER The chashu was fall apart tender and still had a good crust from the blow torch, the spicy sauce that comes with is to die for (not for those with a sensitive palate). The picked radish is sweet and refreshing. THE GYOZA IS SO GOOD. I would come back just for the Gyoza. They add what looks like crushed sesame seeds to the bottom when they pan fry it, and it creates an awesome texture

I came to this place to try because I saw it had 5 star rating and wanted to see what the hype was about. There was a long-ish line, which is a good sign that the food was going to be bomb! Unfortunately the wait for just two ramen bowls was 35-40 minutes, which is understandable considering how many people were waiting as well. I excitedly parked at a del taco parking lot to eat my creamy chicken ramen, the flavor was… mild… and I didn’t receive any eggs that comes with the ramen! For the price point the flavor could be significantly better, same with the chicken itself, it was very bland.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My boyfriend and I saw this place on Instagram and were excited to try this place today. I drove 30 minutes to get here from Long Beach and wish I didnt. We walked in and werent greeted at all and just placed our order on a kiosk.When we sat down, a worker (white, brunette girl) informed the family of three next to us that they only had three ramen noodle packs left (it was only 12pm and they were already out of ramen) and that my boyfriend and I would be getting 2 of them since we ordered first. Which I thought was fair, until she came over to us 2 minutes later and told us the same thing and that we had to choose either udon or rice noodles instead. She acted like we had not heard what she just said to the other family and I said I thought it was going to us since we ordered first. She immediately got an attitude and just told us to pick either udon or rice noodles and ignored what I said. I dont know what the other family told her and how they got the ramen and we didnt, but when my boyfriend asked if we could at least have one bowl of ramen, she said the family has to have all three. She gave us the opinion to just refund our order instead of just giving us one of the ramens, and clearly doesnt care about business. The family next to us was very rude and literally turned their backs to us because they knew what they did was wrong. We should have both gotten ramen since we ordered first and the family wouldnt even spare us one bowl of ramen.We went up to the counter to get our refund and the worker didnt even acknowledge us as she brought the three bowls of ramen to the other family. She finally came to the counter and didnt say a word to us or apologize for the inconvenience. I have never left a bad review on Yelp before, but I was very upset after driving 30 minutes just to get no food and terrible service. Its a shame because we were both excited to try a new place, but its safe to say we will never be coming back here again.

Geez..... what do I have to say about this place. I was really excited to try this place out due to some buzz on TikTok, boi this was the biggest let down I have ever experienced. We went on May 15th around 7p.Upon arrival we did not receive a greeting or nothing; although they did have a substantial line and were pretty busy. To order they expect you to place your own order at a kiosk, which is no problem I dont mind but if thats the case orders should be flying out to the customers. Nah nah nah nah...... they thought a 45 minute wait was okay. No apology or acknowledgement of the wait, okay Ill take it. But if you are going to make me order myself and wait 45 minutes this food better be bussin bussin. Nope DOG WATER. There were a total of 4 workers working but only 2 struggling in the kitchen 1 of which was the owner. Im just saying but if I have a line out the door and were are in the middle of a rush wouldnt you want all hands on deck and not 2 workers in the back doing god knows what?We ordered 1 Creamy Ramen w/ Chashu and 1 Clear Ramen w/ Chicken, and finally potstickers.To start with the Creamy ramen it was not creamy..... and the broth tasted bland and like pork water. No depth of flavor and barely any salt. Im sure dog water probably had more flavor than this. Noodles trash. Ramen noods are supposed to be nice and curly with some chewiness to allow for the broth and aromatic oils to be scooped up as you eat. Bruh these were like spaghetti noodles ahhh heck no!!!!! Clear ramen was worse. This ramen was on another level of bland.Now on to the potstickers; I wouldnt know how good they were since they ran out. When we placed our order we didnt know that they were sold out if I knew I wouldnt have ordered them. Upon recieving my order we were not told as well. So they were going to take our order and not offer an apology or acknowledgement hmmm sus. On top of that when I brought this up to THE OWNER he said he would refund and continued to apologize profusely. I dont want an Im sorry I want you to be better. It is May 22nd and I have yet to receive my refund on potstickers. Im not pressed about the money, Im pressed about the experience.The last point I want to make is that this place has a total of 3 items on their menu. If thats the case you would think these 3 would be exceptional. We tried both types of ramen and they were lackluster and we didnt receive potstickers so if 2/3 of your menu was not great then what does that say about your establishment and at that point what excuse do you have for a 2/5 stars. This place has potential to be a great hole in the wall which I see from the great review but suffers from poor organization, lack of customer service and flavor. Plenty of my concerns would be disregarded if the ramen was bussin bussin or the customer service was amazing. But nah. 2/5 Ill be back May 15th 2025 to give them another shot but until then I stick with Hiro Nori and Kitakata Ramen.

I went to Japan last year and fell in love with ramen there- the bouncy noodles and rich (but not overwhelmingly so) broth. This place is super authentic to those components. The creamy broth chashu ramen with spicy sauce I got was really good, filling, and gives you the sense of comfort you want from a nice hot bowl of noodles. Only note of caution is that this place gets pretty busy- I waited 20+ mins for one bowl of ramen. The business can stand to improve the self order station’s system for when a customer’s order is ready. Currently, the screen does not let you see your order number (which is what the staff use to call out a ready order). That will be really important as the restaurant continues to get more popular.

If you are looking for authentic mom and pop Japanese noodle place. Kokiyo is the place to dine. Easy to order and Price is so Reasonable. The Ramen is Soooo GOOD, the soup is so Creamy, the Texture of Ramen is on the spot, al dente but soft, size of the Serving is Large portion. Been to Japan and the broth is comparative to the. Best Ramen in Japan. If you are craving for Ramen you don’t have to go to far. Kokiyo is not that far away.
