We arrived for early dinner 4pm on a Friday, 1st time here. The service was attentive but we thought it could be improved. We ordered 3 ramen bowls (average about $16 each) and overall they were quite good. The broth was flavored just right and they gave a lot of noodles. We also got 2 sushi rolls (Dragon roll, Baked Scallops) but they were ok. The rice on the sushi was not warm at all. We found parking (90min limit) after making 1 loop but it might be tough later because of the popularity of this area.

Staff are super friendly. I ordered two sashimi and one cooked seafood they were all crazily good. However, the ramen wasnt so stunning compared to other dishes. Still very good tho! I could tell the broth was homemade. Recommend this place!

The decor and ambience of the place is nice, The food is generally good, but was disappointed in the price. Since we hadnt been to this location before, looked at the QR code menu online and kind of picked out what I wanted ahead of time. But when going to the Restaurant, the prices were around $4-$5 higher on everything vs the online menu. I can get a good Ramen near my house for under $11 whereas Kopan youre looking at minimum $15 for an ok ramen.

My girlfriend and I wanted some Japanese food so we decided to check out this place.+ Environment and vibe was down to earth and calm. Restaurant was clean.+ Food was delicious and the presentation of the food was excellent.+ Service was fantastic. The young lady who waited on us made us feel comfortable and happy.We definitely will be going back to Kopan in the near future.

We were shopping locally and were craving sushi, so we decided to come here. The restaurant itself is really nice and they have a big selection of foods. Service was great. I would recommend getting the shishito peppers, mixed tempura and garlic green beans. We were very excited for the sushi, but that was a let down. The sushi did not taste fresh at all, the rice was hard and stale, and the shrimp tempura wasn’t crunchy at all. I’m not sure if the Ramen is good, but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want high quality, tasty sushi. It was just tasted old and stale.

If youre dinning in I suggest you go to another location.This location has half of thier dinning room looking like its still set up from the pandemic. If youre lucky youll get seated on the decorated side with staff attending you, if youre unlucky you will be seated on the other side of the restaurant thats used as a storage area/ employee break room. My table had 2 pairs of employee shoes on the floor. Disgusting. I was only attended once by staff and when I had to use the restroom staff made me walk all the way around because of the bad seating. Ridiculous. Id vist the Kopan on Ventura to avoid the empty and depressing dinning room.

First time visiting San Fernando Blvd, CA & stopped by at Kopan Sushi & Ramen for a quick bite. We were super lucky to come across such an amazing staff by the name of BAS💗 He was very welcoming and very helpful. He always made sure to check if we needed something or needed help. --and the food was a big PLUS!! Great food, Great Service from Bas, & a lovely atmosphere! Favorite ramen place in Burbank! The slow boiled, creamy, rich pork bone broth of their Tonkotsu makes all the difference! They also offer other types of ramen, plus a wide selection of sushi, rolls, bento boxes and various delicious Japanese appetizers. Really delicious, quality fare! We miss the Korean tofu bowls they used to offer though. And we wish they still provided a large order of ramen like before, since now its only one size (and one small bowl of ramen that good is not enough!) They remodeled their main dining area to look like a traditional Japanese village, and to accomodate their new sushi bar. It looks very cool! Makes it even more fun to dine there. However, unless they open up their auxiliary dining area, you may have to wait a bit if you are a big group, because their main dining area has limited large group space, mostly occupied by 4 person booths and tables. They have a small parking lot directly behind their building, but there are several public parking structures and street parking all over this part of downtown Burbank. Highly recommended if you are craving a warm, hearty bowl of authentic ramen!

Kopan Burbank is the best one by far. Ive been to other Kopa Ramen locations and cant compare. This one gives larger portions and very fast to make the food. Service is amazing and food taste amazing. Ive been here many times and continue to go back. I recommend this place for sure.

This place has a nice atmosphere but I would not recommend if you have a big party I thought this was only an issue at the Northridge location but they sneak a “gratuity tip” for any party of 6 or more (I was in a party of 6) and I feel that some of the staff know this and don’t care if they are rude because they already know they are getting a really generous tip. Thankfully most but not all the staff still know how to properly treat customers.Just to add context the “gratuity tip” was 18% this time but it can be more at the other locations for my groups main waitress was pretty rude but the other 2 staff members where extremely nice and helpful.

Premium price sushi and Ramen with lukewarm service.Granted a late-evening visit just over an hour before their posted close time wasnt exactly planned, but we were led to our table by a less-than-enthusiastic server that obviously clocked out in her mind hours ago.With the benefit of the doubt, we quickly ordered some rolls and Niguri trying to understand the kitchen probably started their evening cleanup. Unfortunately, we had to ask for utensils, plates, ginger, and wasabi from our reluctant server.Overall, the Niguri was excellent in quality and nicely constructed. The mackerel was delightfully fresh. Rolls are not overly sauce laden, and the Spicy Tuna was well balanced.The pricing is on par with the decor. The atmosphere is inviting putting you in a semi-period-piece setting. The menu is heavily focused on rolls. The selection of rolls can easily be overwhelming, but non-raw fish lovers may enjoy this.

We went here with a group of 8 and were kept waiting for over an hour and a half. We asked multiple times when we would be seated as our names on the waitlist had been up next to be seated. The host kept telling us another 20 minutes and the people who had our table had to leave before we could be seated. At no point were we asked if our party could be split tables or were we given any alternatives. We didn’t end up eating here due to the terrible up front service.

We called to see if they take reservations and they said they only take walk ins. They didn’t mention you can add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp prior to coming. Which saves a lot of time. So do that in advance if you’re dining at a peak time. Order slowly if you want to dine. The rolls were delicious. Very good and so speciality rolls. Would recommend

The last 2 times I came here, it hurt my stomach a little afterwards. The 3rd time I came here, I tried the black garlic ramen, & it was delicious!! Way better than the last 2 ramen dishes I had tried. This time I had also tried the takoyaki - it wasnt bad, but also wasnt great. It mainly tasted doughy & bland, most of the flavor came from the bit of sauce on top. I think it wouldve tasted better if it was regular calamari with the same toppings.

The black ramen is great, the pork bone broth with black garlic sauce they make is different from all other ramens I have tried, it was delicious.The noodles however, they didnt pick up the flavor from the broth, I think they needed to be saltier and more garlicky.Service was fast and efficient.

Soup was delicious and full of mushrooms, I wanted to order and second bowl.The Kung pao chicken came with 2 wontons, an egg/spring roll, plenty of chicken, crunchy peanuts, and just the right amount of spice. The flavor of the rice and KP are really good, & portion sizes is filling.My table server was on it and brought me water without ever running dry. Moving around the room helping everybody. The rooms large and dimly lit, and Its quiet and cool inside.The location is on a busy street so parking can be hard to find right in front. Try parking around the corner in the parking structures.

She brought the wrong sushi plats and put the wrong food items for the dinner box, never got my drink refill, or was asked if I want one, only stopped by our table once. My favorite place has delicious Ramen. The bowls are Big and always full to the top, this ramen has flavor has many options with meat and veggies. I love that mild is not to hot it’s perfect. Customer service is always good here never any problems getting refills on drinks or other items.

Great place for Tonkatsu ramen, try with highest spice level and black garlic oil. You can add as many addons available (each comes with additional charge, only eggs and green onions are free). The jalapeño bombs were awesome, must try. They have sushi bar where your ordered sushi/rolls are prepared fresh. Service is bit off at times. Nice interior and the Japanese touch to it is elegant. I have been here multiple times, basically anytime I crave for ramen in Burbank, then this is the place.

This place is fantastic. Specialized in Tonkotsu Ramen. Came at lunch and had a lunch combo.The Bulgogi bowl was really good. The pork bun was full of flavor and tasted perfect.I got the traditional Black Kopan Ramen with chicken also.The chicken was white meat and tasted like good quality fresh chicken. The broth was fantastic. Creamy and full of flavor but not too heavy.The noodles were really good too.I loved this place overall.Service was quick, polite and helpful.Just be mindful that peak hour at lunch might involve a wait.I’ll be back here for sure.

I got the bibimbap lunch combo that came with a tofu soup. You can choose how spicy you want the tofu soups. I got the vegetable tofu soup which had a lot of tofu and some string mushrooms. The bibimbap was more like a salad with Julienne carrots, bean sprouts, a fried egg and your choice of meat. The quality was definitely good for the price. I would not get the bibimbap again but the soup good. I would give it 3 stars for my food but my friend got Japanese ramen (I think she got black ramen) was really good. I need to try the Japanese ramen next time.

Hubby had the Black Ramen, which has garlic oil and a mild miso broth. I had the Red Ramen, spicy and delicious. I sucked it down like I haven’t eaten in days. The egg was done perfect, the pork was tender, there was nothing I could complain about service was friendly and suggestive. Great lunch.

Located on busy street in Burbank, the ambience is the highlight of the place. We visited at the busy hour, which might have altered our experience. Staff was busy, and not easiest to get hold in between orders. Ginger and Wasabi not served with Sushi. Kopan is both sushi and ramen place, not perfect in either. Prices are medium, quantity is good. Like any other restaurants on the street, parking may be hard to find.

The black ramen tastes the same as those served at the Alhambra branch on Main Street. Same prices. Plenty of free parking in the back (city parking structure). Overall a pleasant visit.

I realllyyyy love this place. I’ve only been here once, and I can’t wait to go again. I ended up getting a bento box. I’ve been to a lot of Japanese restaurants, and I think the tonkatsu (pork cutlet) here was the best one I’ve had so far. It was super crispy and tender. I also loved the spicy tuna roll. The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing. However, the dishes and cups we were given were dirty. We explained it to the hostess who was extremely nice about it and took the dishes away and requested new ones. The server wasn’t as nice. Whenever we hear the word Ramen, most of us think of Top Ramen, that ubiquitous affordable, insta-meal consisting of dehydrated noodles (usually rock hard) and a flavor packet. Then you simply add water, nuke it for a couple of minutes, and viola there u go - a meal. But what if I were to tell you that there was an alternative ramen universe out there, a world were ramen noodles were made fresh everyday and the broth, was a magical brew that had been simmering for hours consisting of a real meat (mainly pork) with the bones and other ingredient I can only guess at, and the results were both savory, complex, and a little myaterious, with a silky consistency that will awaken every taste bud in your mouth. And what if the fun didnt stop there. What if, in addition to the noodles and the broth, there were slices of pork added, flakes of seaweed, ginger, and so on and so on. If you still dont believe me then check this place out for yourself, and also try other ramen shops as well, because each shop has their own unique history, flavors, and twists. And when you dig in, dont forget to slurp. The chef will thank you.

The rolls arent the best here but they arent the worst either. The worst part of this experience was our server named Gina K. As soon as we sat down she didn’t greet us. We proceeded to ask her questions about the menu/rolls she answered in such a rude/hostile way. She NEVER once came to check on our table. We had to yell out excuse me to other servers to bring us things we needed because she would walk right passed our table. She didnt even bring all of our plates!! 2 other servers brought out the rest of our food. She never brought us refills, napkins, sauce NOTHING but yet she treated her other tables with respect? Unbelievable. We were there about 1 hour and a half and once we’ve all finished eating/talking she had the audacity to say “Do you guys need anything else” I was livid at this point. I go to many places to eat and I always tip, this is the first time ive had such a horrible experience with a “server”.

Food was mediocre. The lemon sushi was overly citrus. Service, unfortunately, wasn’t great either. The rest of our party had ramen that came out very quickly. My order of sushi took a while to come out. I had to flag a server, only to find out there were supposedly 11 orders before me. Our server seemed rude and didn’t care much about providing good service. If a customer’s order is backed up while the rest of the customers at the same table already have their food, at least have the decency to notify your customer that it would be a bit until their order is ready. I shouldn’t have had to inquire about the delay. There are other reviews before me that might be addressing the same server that I experienced. I suggest going elsewhere.

We would regularly come to this Kopan. We felt that this was one of the better sushi/ramen place in the Burbank area. Loved getting the ramen and bento boxes! With the bento box you are able to choose a few different options and get a wonderful spread of food. The golden dragon roll is also out of this world. 10/10 would recommend.

Was pleasantly surprised, since my previous experience a few years back wasnt as great. The waiter did a great job of explaining spice levels for food, and showed enthusiasm for input as well (at least, from my waiter last time I visited). We visited this past Sunday. I was with a party of 7. The restaurant is very clean even the bathrooms. I believe this restaurant is basically a sushi restaurant. Everyone in my group love sushi I chose a different food because I dont eat sushi. I believe its a good place to go if you eat sushi everyone in our group demolished the food quickly. Beware of overcharge at this place!!!! Ordered for take out based on a menu on the wall next to the entrance door. When ordering, the restaurant worker stands behind a wide table and does not walk out to see the wall menu. We saw a picture of the same dish on a menu on the table in front of them. Pointed at that dish and ordered 2 bowls. Waited for 40 minutes instead of 20-25 as was originally stated. Upon receiving discovered that they brought only one bowl instead of 2. When checking a receipt to see how many bowls are in it, we discovered that they charged us higher price than we originally saw on the wall menu. The lady who took the order began arguing that we ordered only one plate (as if we dont know that there are 2 of us and we ordered 2 plates!) and since we pointed at the picture on the table, she is absolutely right with charging us a higher price. Sorry, but this is a deceiving practice!!! Using a dirty menu printed in tiny font as an excuse not to honor a large well lit menu on the wall is not how respectable businesses work! We did not look at prices on the table menu as we thought they were the same as on the wall menu. Thats not taking into account the fact that they ignored us when placing an order while letting a least several dine-in groups inside. Saw several open tables but we still waited around for 5 to 10 minutes before we got seated. The ramen itself is okay. The regular sided bowl came with one piece of pork belly whole the large had 2 slives. They are thicker than most other ramen places, so I didnt have an issue with that. The broth was okay, it has a very strong garlic flavor, but not much other flavor and lacked a richness too. Its one of the closer ramen places to me, but I rather make the drive out to get better ramen.

This place is one of my favorites. The food is more of a fusion of Japanese and Korean than a true ramen house. Everything is always fresh, tasty, and the service is great. They are especially accommodating for our 1 year old.

Probably my favorite place to get ramen. The Shoyu is by far my favorite. The make the egg just perfect and the noodles are just the right texture. We often end up bringing the whole family. And normally for the 6 of us, its about $80, which is not bad.

All i can say is their food was weird. Ive been to many Ramen and Japanese restaurants and I can say their food was not up to the hype. The broth had a wierd after taste as well as their eggs.Almost a dollar extra for each add on you put in your ramen. (Only comes with seaweed and meat). Service was almost non existent even with the place dead. You cant hear the person next to you as they were blasting rap music the whole time which was confusing on its own. I would not recommend a date here if your trying to impress someone. And certainly not worth an hour wait.

I like variety. Was a bit disappointed when they only had 2 ramen selections and not mention they charge for all the stuff that should be included in the ramen. Also the portions are small even for a small. Although the staff is pretty amazing and attentive. I havent tried their tofu so I wouldnt know maybe next time I go I will try it.

I was in the mood for a good bowl of Ramen for lunch and havent visited here for a few months. I waited about 5minutes before a food server finished serving a customer and then searlted me in the Japanese section with a menu. (They have Japanese and Korean sections here, though you can choose what dishes you want.) Apparently the new menu had a couple of non a-la-carte bowls and I chose the spicy miso ramen with the extra hot miso broth, pork chasu, egg, seaweed and etc just as it is offered. This is the large sized bowl (they have $10 or $12 base sizes) and at somewhere between $12 ir $13, it was complete, tasty and very good ramen.

Its a little confusing because the restaurant is actually two restaurants: ramen and tofu soup. But both are good.The servers are always wonderful. There can be a bit of wait during regular dinner hours. Recommend for casual ramen or tofu soup for a colder day or for comfort.

Good tasting food with nice portions. Staff confused my pork chasu ramen order with a different meat. They didnt rectify the mistake, and instead tried to convince me that was, in fact, chasu. I ate it. It wasnt.

Great open environment! Tofu house and ramen seating separated from a wall, but can sit where ever. The ramen had a great creamy flavor (and some spice if you request it; I got mild). Plenty of noodles. My wife ordered the seafood and beef tofu bowl and loved it. She is hard to please when it comes to tofu. The only down side was the portion size of the baby octopus in proportion the price. The server Anthony H. was serving 20 people at one point and we didnt feel neglected. Great service! We will come back for that alone. :)

Good place if you’re craving ramen. Prices are decent (about $13 for a large bowl) and ramen portions are huge! They don’t have many kinds of broth but have plenty of topping options. Not sure about other appetizers and sides but the Gyoza was very generic and not homemade, but was still good. Ramen and toppings seemed to be fresh. Don’t expect homemade appetizers/sides, but if you’re craving some quick good homemade ramen this is the place to go.

Well, I normally dont leave reviews even if the place is bad (I have better things to do) but I felt I had to with this place. The food was overpriced, bland, and apparently dangerous. I thought maybe I had just eaten too much because my stomach felt a little sick after my ramen, but I am currently stuck in my bathroom because my body is purging all of my meals contents. Dont eat here.

Ive been here several times, with family and friends, date and group setting. There is usually a wait but it is well worth it. The ramen is bombbb! You can build your own or order the house ramen. The Korean BBQ is also amazing. I never finish my meal but thats fine, it makes a great lunch the next day. I highly recommend.

I really hate to give this place a 3 because I will probably be back. I consider myself vegan-ish. I very rarely eat fish, or dairy. I ordered the vegan ramen, tofu nuggets, and soft boiled egg. The waitress said that despite vegan being in the title in the menu, the broth of the ramen actually has fish. Also, I make better soup broth at home using miso paste.The food came fast, everything tasted pretty good, the service was expect, but Im really hoping they change the broth to make it actually vegan, which means no animal products of any kind.

The service is pretty much the only reason to go. many of the ingredients are frozen so honestly, why bother. you could reheat frozen food at home and it would be equally sufficient. when asked about the gyoza and if it had been frozen, my server replied it was indeed frozen. the taste was apparent in many aspect of the ramen and bamboo shoots. go to daikokuya ramen and enjoy an amazing meal instead.

Best of both Japanese and Korean cuisines offered in a shared space. We sat on the left side that had wooden seats which were a tad uncomfortable after a very long days work. Korean side dishes were brought out and refilled throughout our dining experience. Food ordered to split amongst two people: seafood tofu soup combo with spicy pork, takoyaki, squid legs and octopus. In hindsight, we could have foregone the appetizers with all the free side dishes that accompanied our meal. I was so full!

I got the vegan romen with tofu and it was tasteless. If you want a delicious vegan noodle soup; go to the Vietnamese restaurant at At Water Village. It is not ramen; its Pho but its the best noodle soup that I have ever eaten and they have several vegetarian plates. All of them very delicious and full of flavor; sorry but I would pass Kopan Ramen.

The ramen is more than satisfying. Creamy and Rich savory broth comes with choice of meat and green onion. You can pick the level of spicyness as well as add-on extra meat or veggies like bamboo shoots or a variety of mushrooms, etc. The egg they prepare has to be the best egg I have ever had in my ramen. Its craveable! Although the air conditioning is always on full blast, a hot bowl of ramen will warm you right up! And every time i come for dinner I can watch the dodgers game. Cant speak for the rest of their food though, i only come for the ramen.The service could be improved a bit. Not horrible, but not great either.

Absolutely love ramen and Orochon was my absolute favorite.... until I found Kopan. Their broth is so hard to not keep sipping on even after youre misera-full. If youre a fan of eggs and garlic, make sure you get the minced garlic and the soft boiled egg. Really completes the meal!

The things I liked are the potatoe croquette and the bulgogi bowl. Although the bowl is a bit sweet just ask them to put less sauce. We had the red ramen and the black ramen. Honestly thd black ramen soup was very tasteless and was bitter too. The red ramen was better but the pork belly was not good at all. And please do yourself a favor. Dont get the kimchi. Not a place I would recommend. There are much better ramen joints to eat at.

The service was on point and everyone was friendly.My wife had the bulgogi plate, my friend had the ramen and I had the beef and tofu pot.Bulgogi and ramen tasted as good as it looked and we almost had a chopstick battle at the table.My beef and tofu hot pot had me confused with the picture. Could have sworn I asked for a T8 but it was something different. But oh well...I loved it. I remember having a seafood and tofu dish similar when I was in Korea.Best part...no bad aftermath affects like some places Ive been to before.When I say friendly, it seemed like everyone was greeting us or saying goodbye and not like a group at a sushi joint.Friendly, fast and fantastic!

I was very disappointed with this place. First, they barely give you any soup, especially compared to the place that was there before, Orochon Ramen, which was awesome. Additionally, its almost $10 for a medium size bowl of soup with minimal amounts of noodles. My GF got a small, and I got a regular, and they gave us the exact SAME amount of soup. Whats also BS is that everything you want is A LA CART to in the soup. We got a $10 bowl pork ramen soup and they literally just threw 2 wimpy pieces of tiny pork slivers caked with GROSS pork fat. If you want the other things in the picture of the soup (like egg, mushrooms, etc) its like $1 to $2 per item. That means by the time you build up your soup its like $15, and you will probably still be hungry, because I know we were. Save your money and time and find any other Ramen place. I felt like this was totally overpriced and I hate when restaurants are stingy with their food. On the upside, the broth is actually very good tasting, but I still felt Orochon (the place that was there before) was significantly better tasting as well.

Amazing broth. Rich and flavorful. Spicy isnt too spicy. I tried super spicy and that was palatable still.I tried all types of protein--fatty pork, chasu pork, and chicken--and all were good. Add-ons are served on the side, which allows you to share with others.

Good service had to ask for spicy add-on multiple times food comes out as its ready not when your party of two is complete. Was awkward sitting with my bowl of hot ramen waiting for my friends dish.The ramen is only ok. Noodles are thin but with no snap and really no flavor. The tonkotsu broth flavor profile is just buttery basically. They add corn but it tastes like its from a can directly pretty poor quality. The chashu is lacking in flavor as well.Pretty disappointing bowl of ramen for the LA area, but good location downtown Burbank

The food was ok but they brought me half my order and then disappeared. I had nothing to drink, no napkins, and no server. When I was done I had to go search for someone to get my check. Ive not had ramen this good, ever! The broth is amazing and the noodles are also top shelf. My go to place with friends before a movie. I recommend trying the garlic edamame!
