What feels to be a hidden gem. We went late in the evening and it was pretty empty, no reservations needed. Seated at the bar, we had a perfect view of the grill master meticulously tending to each skewer. Most pieces were unfortunately cooked well done and lacking a juiciness, maybe it could benefit from hotter coals. Our favorite pieces were the pork belly and grilled smelt.The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance had a coziness like stepping into a local izakaya on the streets of Japan.

The best skewer are okura + pork!!! Definitely have to try this. Other skewers are good, definitely good quality and they know how to cook. Btw, it’s better to call and ask if they have a table or not.

Try the chicken meatballs, try the lamb chops, try the grilled sausage with cheese! Try it all! Make sure you come read to eat! They do close a little early, so come for an early dinner.

Absolutely still the highest quality yakitori in Los Angeles PERIOD. Cooking technique, seasoning, variety 5 stars. Its a shame they only open for dinner now. Some reduced appetizers due to staffing shortages. Better than most yakitori in Tokyo. No cap!

I love this place!!! We come here regularly. The food is always amazing. I recommend trying one of everything until you find your favorite!Tip: the house saki gives me a slight hangover (could just be us, I’m sure it is diff for everyone). We’ve started ordering other saki on the menu.

Nice and quiet, not crowded, great food. May not have as many premium yakitori items, but they have many great selections. Plenty of parking and great service. Definitely worth a visit and definitely going to return to this place.

I had an awsome Bday yakitori dinner. And a very kind waitress that gave me a red bean ice-cream gift. 😋The sake ( waitress recommendation ) was on the best a Had tried. It is small but it gave you this little Japan restaurant atmosphere. Cozy!! 😋🥳

Came here for dinner right when they opened and we were so pleased. We were so hungry we tried ordering a little bit of everything, some skewers, sushi rolls and veggies. It was all great quality and the smell coming from the grill was amazing! In a matter of time the place was packed, so try n make a reservation if your going for the weekend! I wasn’t able to try their drinks but when I come back I’ll be the first thing I try 🥂

Great place to get traditional yakitori. Great selection of skewers with all parts of the chicken, grilled over binchotan charcoal. Its small and busy, perfect izakaya vibe. Our food came out fast, and we ordered about 19 different skewers, as well a some main dishes from the back kitchen.

This may not be the greatest yakitori experience but definitely authentic and good. Food is good and the staff is great. If you look closely many customers are Japanese.I ordered 9 or 10 skewers. What I would do differently would be to order a few skewers at a time to control the flow a bit better.I liked it and will go back again.

Love meat on a stick? I do, and this place has it. You can get chicken skin! And if youve ever visited a convenient store in Japan then you know what I mean. Be mindful of how much you are ordering cause that bill can climb quickly.

Food is lacking in flavor. Portions are small. Service was slow even though every other table was empty. Drinks came out slow. One item was forgotten, and we literally had to walk into kitchen to ask for it, and cancelled it since it took too long. Kind of dark ambience with bad music. The food tasted like it was microwaved, and none of the spicy dishes were spicy. Forced gratuity (perhaps thats why service was slow?) despite bad experience. It felt unorganized, unprofessional, and surprisingly low effort.

Great food, definitely one of the best yakitori restaurants in greater LA areas. The place is small but it looks like they have 2 private rooms accommodate about 8 people each.If anyone likes grilled chicken tail, its highly recommended!

Koshiji services are fantastic, my first ever experienced to eat at a Japanese restaurant, and this company amazed me with the food so delicious, it something like Ill forgot my name while I am eating my orders. Try their Japanese style black cod roe spaghetti, the taste is completely delicious, the pasta is exactly cooked. Try Koshiji, this is a first class Japanese restaurant that will satisfied your tummy as well as your money.

Treated differently because we were Hispanic. We asked to order more food and were ignored until we asked to just get our check and leave. The couple that got there after us was served everything before us. We werent even acknowledged until they got there food. They didnt even have a reservation. The food was good but unfortunately we left with a really bad experience.

Feel like in Japan. The food is neither rushed nor too slow, and the doneness is just right without being too dry. Highly recommended grilled rice balls👍Just like eating yakitori in Japan. The dishes come at the right pace. They are cooked to perfection. Be sure to order the yakinigiri
