We felt very welcomed by the friendly owners. everything was very well made especially the nigiris; there were so little rice compared to the thick pieces of fish. each roll had 8 pieces and were made fresh in front of us. 10/10 would recommend :)

On a trip here from Chicago and found this location via google. Apparently under new ownership and let me say worked out in our favor I guess. Everything was delicious!!!! Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Will definitely refer local relatives here. Highly recommend.

Yes AYCE for sure this will be my to go place for ayce sushi. You can order 3 round but me and my wife only did it round two and full :) overall good quality sushi and the no rice sushi recommended.

My guy and I happened upon the soft opening of Koyi Sushi, while having my car serviced down the street. What a great surprise! The service was great- the host and chef were so friendly and accommodating, and welcomed any and all feedback. They truly want to know how to provide the best experience for their customers.The food was fantastic, with smaller serving sizes that are ideal for an all-you-can-eat menu, so you can try more items instead of filling up on just a few rolls. We were happy with everything we ordered, and they had suggestions that perfectly complimented what we had on our table.We will definitely be back!

My mom loves this place .. its hard to find a place that my mom likes .. she os really hard to please .. but if she liked a place its gotta be amazing .. i mean look at the pictures .. All our nigiri orders was super delicious forgot to take picture of em .. the yellow tail and eel are my favorite order them on the sushi bar .. dont miss out on the daily special dishes you wont regret it

Absolutely top notch in every way. Sushi couldve been generic judging off the names alone, however one bite and you know its unlike your average sushi bar. SO flavorful. The salmon and albacore was so fresh and juicy.On top of that, the service was impeccable. 👌Everyone was so nice, and went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable for my 9yr old daughter. The chefs specially made an avocado mouse for her. It was adorable and she loved it.Cant rave about Sushi Wave enough. Give it a try! 🍣

While I know Sushi Wave had many ups and downs throughout the -vid times, they will be missed and hold a dear place in my heart during very troubling times indeed. Now displayed on the marquis as Sushi Hong, Hong Sushi N Ramen is so far a dang decent spot to get two of my food loves...sushi and ramen! Theyre miso soup is exactly what ails you, spider roll (soft shell crab) divine, spicy ramen dilectable down to the last drop, shrimp tempura the absolute best most tender Ive ever had, and vanilla soft serve to end off on the perfect sweet note. Will be back soon to try the next adventure!

What a great place! Under new ownership, brothers Brian and Nathan, this place is awesome. Yea it’s All you can eat, but it’s different than the normal all you can eat places, it’s actually very good.I went with a longtime friend who lives in Costa Mesa, and lived here for over 45 years. He visited this place prior to the new ownership and was pleasantly surprised.As usual, I totally forget to take pictures of the delish selections, but was able to get a few. I do suggest a number of items. The gyoza was crispy after being prepared and was made to melt in your mouth. I had Salman, tuna, and Bluefin Toro, which was delicious. Not too much rice and fresh fish. Enjoyed a few rolls: Crench (so tasty), Salman Crunch Roll, Spicy Tuna Hand roll, and Sun and Kisses Roll, all worth the order. The Asahi beer was ice cold and a great compliment to our meal.Coming from Chicago I’m particular with my sushi restaurants, especially one that advertises “All you can eat”, but I strongly suggest this one, it’s so worth it! Visited here and I have to say, the food quality and pricing is amazing. Definetly the lunch prices and quantity of food that is served. The all you can eat seems like a great deal as well. The chicken katsu is a must try!Also the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, love it. Would make a great date spot in the evening.

Its fine but it didnt amaze me. Fresh quality ingredients. But fairly basic choices and preparations. Its AYCE all you can eat. You can bring a bottle of wine for just a $6 corkage fee. The jalapeno bomb is a whole raw jalapeno, so extremely spicy. The CJ roll had a citrus vinaigrette that I didnt care for. The crispy rice and tuna was great. The lobster roll was ok. I prefer the AYCE at the Triangle instead.

Favorite spot. Always fresh. Been a patron of this place for 10 years, at least a visit a month (and sometimes weekly visits too!)Recently under new ownership. Theyve changed and improved a few things, but the menu is still the same, freshness is still the same, and they have even added some new stuff.While Ive always loved this place, the service by the waitstaff under previous ownership did need some help, and sometimes there would be too manywaitsyagf which led to some arguing over whose tables are whose, etc. Not a pretty picture at times! The sushi chefs are the same so you can expect the same great skill and quality and so far the new waitstaff are really great!

A tasty new find. Who knew you can get amazing sushi in an unobtrusive strip mall. Its our new favorite place. The quality of the food is worth the price. We were there five days ago and still talk about the food. They were very accommodating when I asked for a modification. We never felt like we were a bother. Presentation was amazing.. We cannot wait to go back with friends. We tried the cucumber roll, volcano roll, shrimp crunch roll, tiger roll and Japanese fried chicken eating ourselves stupid. So doing it again!

Service was friendly and helpful though a little slow.Definitely AVOID the tempura calamari as it was incredibly bland and like 75% deep fried batter 25% calamari.Otherwise the food was pretty good. Its COVID season at the moment but we plan to try the all you can eat if we ever get out of this quarantine restriction.

This place and experience was WOW. We saw the reviews and the place was pretty tiny so we werent entirely ready for the experience we were about to have. Our waitress was so nice and friendly and explained everything soooo well. The food was amazing, from the Katsu to the salmon and especially the omakase!!!!! If you can, you NEED to try the omakase with the sweet shrimp. The experience was like none other. We will definitely be excited to come back.

I ordered take out from here last night, so my rating does not apply to the staff or the cleanliness of their dining room, only the quality and value of the food. I live less than 5 minutes from sushi wave, so there is no excuse for the meal to have been that awful (it could not have spoiled in the time it took for me to get the food home).I ordered a sampler of their specialty rolls as well as salmon and tuna nigiri, most of which ended up in the trash. The fish was dry and tasted old. Even their imitation crab was mostly just mayo. It was not high quality as the restaurant claims nor was it just a matter of personal taste. I was concerned about becoming ill. They are completely unjustified in changing as much as they do. It is significantly more expensive than some other local places and I regret ordering from sushi wave.

A few years ago, it was real good. I came back and seems like they downgraded the food to offset the cost. It wasnt as good as I remembered. Compare it to other all you can eat places, i would still pick Sushi Wave over others. Nevertheless, $20 for all you can eat sushi is pretty good especially they make it once you placed the order. Not sushi sitting out like other places. Best bang for your buck.

Absolutely bad. Limited rolls and sushi selections, probably because it’s more for all you can eat. The fish was already cut in pieces meaning the fish is dry. Pre-cutting fish is absolutely not a tradition of a high quality Japanese restaurant. If you want to come here for all you can eat, I guess it might be a good option but for sure if not, you would want to leave the moment you sat down.

Nice small dining room with traditional Japanese decor. Only chopsticks are provided to pick your food off your plate, giving you the full Japanese experience. The Sashimi Lunch is a great sampler. The strip mall in which this restaurant is located has no bike parking. Oh well. There’s always delivery services to bring my favorites from here straight to my home.

The vast majority of its menu is derived from the California roll, which is represented here either by real or imitation crab.Imitation crab is the hallmark of poor sushi.If you’re interested in eating cream cheese x ground & reconstituted white fish, I encourage you to enjoy the pleasures of Sushi Wave.If, on the other hand, you prefer the taste of real fish, go somewhere else. Looking for a new sushi place. My wife and I and a couple friends came to Sushi wave. Initial impressions was it was hard to find. We found it off the side of the 55 fwy. And we had passed it but its right bext to Crossings church. So make sure the gps is on top of it.We had heard about the AYCE and with 4 of us 2 ladies and 2 men, we only lasted 1.25 rounds.Each person can have 5 orders so we had 20 in the first round and was stuffed and tried to max out.Sushi quality was great especially for AYCE and we tried the new sunshine no rice sushi for those on keto diets or whatever the fad is at the moment.Anyhow it was more than enough anyone complaining they can eat 3 rounds or 4 must be starving themselves and a freak. No thanks.Next time 3 rolls may be enough for my overweight self.Happy hour from 5 to 7 everyday and 8 dollar pitchers are hard to beat!!Shane the head sushi chef and manager conversed with us and sent us complimentary sashimi. It was yum! Thanks again we will be back.

Service was good. Quality was way below par. Menu is very limited. No amaebi, uni, or any other nigiri options besides the basic tunas etc. Shrimp tempura was very bland. Miso and udon were very salty. Worst part of everything is that you are only allowed 5 orders of nigiri at a time, and you only get three rounds. I am skinny and dont eat a good amount so after the hour in between rounds they make you wait I was already full. Disappointed big time.

Good service but this is not the sushi you are looking for. If you are visiting California and want good sushi this is not it. We ordered all you can eat and they are all dressed up California rolls. The gyoza came out cold then they realized it without asking and brought it back burned. The taste of the rolls was bland and not interesting. The jalapeño roll had way too much jalapeño, it was a jalapeño filled with cream cheese and a little bit of crunch. I also didn’t appreciate the forced 20% gratuity for just my family, I totally understand this for a large group of people but it was two adults and some kids.

WAVE SUSHI is by far one of the finest sushi restaurants that Ive had the pleasure of eating at. The all-you-can-eat option is fantastic and delicious!!!! The lobster roll, freshwater eel, halibut, yellowtail, teriyaki salmon and a multitude of other wonderful dishes were enjoyed today by my friend and myself! I highly recommend this fantastic sushi restaurant to anyone who enjoys good sushi! Our Sushi Chef Shane was very friendly and kind all the while delivering us fantastic entrees that were so very tasty and delicious!!!! Sushi rolls are made of ONLY rice. There is very little fish in any of it. All you can eat was $25, and they where so slow that the all you can eat 2 hour time limit would nearly run out before you eat all you can. If you are a frequent sushi eater, their Japanese food names are miss-used to the point of creating issues. Do not eat here.

Great value for what you get. AYCE is good price and great selection. Sushi, salmon teriyaki, miso, edamame, not just rolls! Sad you get charged if you dont finish everything (1$ per slice of roll) and more for if you leave rice on the plate. Rolls are fresh, which means wait time is extended. But thats not necessarily a bad thing with a fresh sushi place.
