Overall: 4.4/5Kra Z Kais BBQ is located in Rodeo 39 Market so theyre like a take out place. Theres a table behind the storefront but its not specific to the restaurant.Lao Beef Jerky ($10.99): The beef jerky is umami but not dry like Vietnamese beef jerky. Its good enough to eat on its own. Besides, the sauce that it came with was okay. We opted for sticky rice which was done perfectly - not too sticky or mushy. The entree also came with a basic salad but needed to balance out the beef jerky and sticky rice.Sticky Sauce (2 oz for $1): The flavor profile for this sauce is sweet, tangy, & mild. It was so good with the lao beef jerky. $1 for 2 oz is a bit expensive but the lady was nice enough to give me a second one for free when I came back to buy another sauce. We drenched the sticky rice in this sauce which made it bomb 💣

Food was delicious. I ordered the Laotian BBQ rib plate with fried rice. Side salad was tasty and fresh. Fried rice had a good flavor and the ribs were well cooked and seasoned. The only downside were the multiple bone fragments I ended up having to pick out of my bites after finding them in my mouth. Maybe a different cutting and cleaning process would help alleviate this problem. Otherwise delicious food and great service.

The workers here are super nice and the place is basically brand new so you know its clean. It’s awesome to be able to see the kitchen where they are grilling everything and smell the amazing food.2 Piece Chicken Lunch Special: 10/5Guys, this is $7.50, $8.16 after tax. TELL ME WHERE YOU CAN GET A 2 PIECE CHICKEN COMBO IN THIS INFLATED ECONOMY TODAY. TELL ME! The chicken itself has this incredibly charred glaze that is really similar to a teriyaki but has something special to it. You know that they ain’t using none of that Costco Yoshida stuff. It was succulent, savory, and had that beautiful pink hue that comes from perfectly grilled meats. The sticky rice, a southeast Asian staple, chef kisses, cooked to perfection as well. It also comes out with two other sauces one being like a salsa with fish sauce and another sour of brown sugar chutney sort of thing. You honestly don’t even need them. This meal was just so perfect. The special is for Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm I believe, but even if you need to pay full price you will not regret. If I had one last meal on this earth, this may be it. Keep up the great work guys!

Im a huge fan of Foodbeast and when I saw their posting on Facebook I knew I had to come here. I got the BBQ sampler plate to get a taste of everything. You get a Lao sausage, beef short rib, pork rib, chicken breast with rice and a salad. All the meat was delicious. You get a clean bite on the chicken and pork rib. They would do well in a BBQ competition. The sausage had a unique flavor thats addicting. The meat sits atop an insane amount of rice. Everything is so good, Id like to order a family size platter of this meal. Service is fast, and all the food is fresh.

I got the mango sticky rice with ube sauce for dessert and it was phenomenal. Hands down best mango sticky rice Ive had. The mango was perfectly sweet and ripe. The sticky rice was moist and coconuty. The grannie making them was super adorable! This dish is a pop up dish so they dont always serve it.

THE BEST CHICKEN EVER!! The chicken is tender and juicy. The sauce tastes delicious. The price is insanely cheap. Very smoky and grilled flavor. It is my first time here, but Im definitely coming back!

2 piece grilled chicken thighs with rice were really tasty 5/5*! Moist inside and perfectly grilled crispy skin and 3 scoops of rice (3 options). Papaya salad was pretty good 4/5*

Someone in our group ordered the sampler platter here. I had one bite of that lemongrass sausage and was sold! The flavors are so bold and delicious. The food comes out piping hot and fresh.

This store is specialized in Laos food. I tried the BBQ combo and very satisfied with it. The combo included different kind of grilled proteins: chicken/ sausage/ ribs.., salad comes with sauce and sticky rice (or you can choose white rice/ fried rice). They located inside the Rodeo 39 Market. Price is reasonable. Highly recommended!!

Everything in the bbq mix was great, aside from the sausage. The pork bbq, kalbi, and chicken were amazing, and the salsa as well. Sticky rice was ok.

Love this place. This isnt normal BBQ, its better. Love the ribs, jerky and chicken. Fried rice is also amazing with their salsa. Great service!

Food is fire. Got the beef dip, papaya salad and a side order of sausages. Meat was cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce is the perfect mix of savory and spicy also good for dipping the sausage into too. Papaya salad on point. Definitely be back when I want some authentic good ole fashion Laos food.

Had an order of Lao sausage and sticky rice. Lao sausage taste was 3/5 and sticky rice wasn’t thoroughly cooked, so 1/5. Found it awkward to have been greeted by the cashier in a kind tone however after I declined her upsell of other foods and a drink, she gave me a negative vibe. The young man who handed me my food however was very nice.

I got the combo and everything was delicious. When I go back Id probably focus on the short rib + sausage since they were my favorites, but everything really was great and you cant go wrong. I loved how there was lemongrass seeped into the meat flavors (especially the sausage), the BBQ really was so good Im salivating right now.Rodeo 39 as a whole is a huge hit and I really appreciated how they set up outdoor seating (under a tent) inside their space. It does get a bit cold during the winter, but the variety of food & desserts in the food hall is impressive!

This week, we explored Kra Z Kais BBQ, snuggled inside Rodeo39 Public Market. Located in Stanton, CA, right off the 22 Freeway. This is Orange County’s latest hangout spot. If you are from Southern California, you must be familiar with Anaheim’s Packing District or Long Beach Exchange (LBX) - The Hangar. Rodeo39 is no different and a great place to bring a date to dine and drink. At this location, there is ample parking, clean modern restrooms, and outdoor dining patios to catch some fresh air and summer rays.Kra Z Kai is serving up Loatian-style barbeque that’ll knock your socks off. Each plate entrée comes with your choice of steamed rice or fried rice and a side salad. I opted for the sticky rice, which is a Lao staple and must be eaten with your hands. You grab a piece of sticky rice, roll it into a ball, and use it to sop up sauces. I couldn’t decide on what items to get, so I got their Lao BBQ Mix plate. It comes with your choice of BBQ Chicken Wing or Thigh, BBQ Pork Rib, Lao Sausage and their BBQ Beef Short Rib.Southeast Asian Cuisine harmonizes sweet, salty, sour, spicy and umami, which Kra Z Kai is doing with their Laotian marinade. Each meat item was grilled to perfection. Their meats were tender, juicy, rich, smoky, well-seasoned and well-marinaded. Instead of their side salad, I got their papaya salad, which paired well with sticky rice. Their papaya salad was nice and spicy, balanced with sour and salty to help cut the rich, fattiness and sweetness of their barbequed meats.Kra Z Kai was high on flavor and low on price.
