I dined here with my hopes of finally answering my craving for a good old chirashi bowl. I was surprised that they don’t serve chirashi. Eh. I had the spicy tuna hand roll and rainbow roll instead. It was good. Fresh, well put together and the rice was on point. The service was excellent, the servers were attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is average, typical sushi restaurant ambiance.

Very excellent sushi! More on the pricey side but the quality is absolutely worth the extra money! I also really like the creativity of the rolls, I loved the salmon scallop roll, the dynamite hand roll, and the creamy salmon hand roll! My bestie also got the green yellowtail and loved it a lot as well!My best friend and I are big sushi aficionados and were quite impressed! Service was excellent and staff were welcoming and polite. The restaurant was very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. I would love to come here again!

5 of us ordered 10 + dishes and every single one of them was DELICIOUS! They have such creative rolls Ive never tasted anywhere else. Baked Langostino Roll, Salmon Skin Roll, Crunch Onion Albacore Sashimi are excellent. Fat Avocado, Spicy Garlic Edamame and Chicken Karaage appetitizer were perfect for beer. Lastly I forgot the name of the roll, it was roll with cream cheese on top was mind blowing. Definately visit again soon.

I dont often leave bad reviews, but I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered several sushi rolls for lunch. The rolls were falling apart and the meat tasted not very fresh. My friend and I both had upset stomachs afterwards.

Came here on a Tuesday night to an almost empty restaurant. this allowed for attentive and nice service. however, I was quite disappointed in the food. the unagi roll was drenched in sauce and the toro sushi fell flat compared to other toros I tried.

Only making this review so other ppl wont waste their money like I did. Its half the quality of most sushi places Ive been to at OVER DOUBLE the price. Paid 50+ tip for something I normally pay 25-30 total including tip. Sushi is cut like theyre feeding an adult bear, and the hand rolls are obviously also made with bear hands in mind. 😅 waitress rudely reached over my food for the menu I said Id keep next to me, I dont think she heard me but, to reach over my boiling broth (miso soup had 1 piece of tofu and no seaweed) was annoying 🙁

Ordered take out during quarantine (8/22/2020), and was disappointed with quality versus price tag. If I’m going to pay $100 for a two person meal, it feels like the quality should be a little closer to Moto (a Glendale favorite, and will be going there from now on) or Sugarfish.We ordered via Postmates takeout, and the order was ready on time and met with friendly service.The nigiri sushi was OK, not great. Same with rolls. Quality and taste felt more like an “OK” quality chain than a good sushi place. If i had to choose between this place and Whole Foods sushi, I’d pick Whole Foods, based on price/quality barometer. Rice didn’t even have a taste (google “sushi rice” if you don’t know what I’m talking about”).Only redeeming quality were the “Dynamite” Crab Hand Rolls. Those were great.

Nice and quiet atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I loves sushi we normally order 3 different rolls to share. But everything we ordered was so good we ended up adding 2 more rolls. Our fave was the baked salmon roll. Definitely will come back for it.

The food was so good! I had the crispy California Roll with no avocados, sesame chicken, garlic edamame and the seafood ramen. The portions were a nice size enough for 3 people. The service was great. Ill definitely be going back soon.

First time here and I was shocked I hadnt had it before. The fish was very fresh and all the menu items we ordered were tasty! I recommend the lemon roll because Im still dreaming about that one! The service was great. The food came out super fast.

Extensive sushi menu and great atmosphere. Came here on a date night and the seating style is intimate and the restaurant is very clean. We really enjoyed our sushi and I was a fan of how clean the bathrooms were. Everyone was very friendly and were happy to explain the menu. If you tell the what kind of sushi you like, they will make recommendations! Its off the main path in this high traffic area so it wasnt super busy or crowded which was a plus for me. Im sure that will change as people write more awesome reviews!

Food may be good, BUT PLEASE, CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. Even when you are a loyal customer and spend hundreds of dollars on each dine-in or take out, they will not only overcharge each entree by 1 or 2 dollars, but they will charge you for the pricier drinks and hope you do not find out about it.THEY ARE ABSOLUTE CHEATS AND SCAM ARTISTS ON EVERY ORDER!!!

This is the good stuff.Lots of ways to eat tuna or yellowtail. Id highly recommend the sashimi dishes with the sauce and jalapeno or the one with the fried onions on tuna. Definitely would come back for those

The salmon teriyaki is the worst salmon teriyaki i have tried, super dry and 2.5-3 times smaller then what shown on menu picture. Got also 2 style of sushi and to be honest wouldn’t try it again. Waste of money!!! First and last time i was trying food at this place. Total disappointment!

Quality food at a great price! Stuffed my face with a Alaskan roll, salmon sushi (happy hour deal) & a Spicy Albacore roll (happy hour deal). Oh, cant forget the Sapporo! All at just $25!!! Decor is awesome with low lighting and modern desing.A great place to go to and have a few drinks all the while you dine on some delicious sushi!

We feel right at home here. The workers and owners know their clientele and do their utmost to make everyone feel like they are at Cheers. And the fish! Oh... the fish. Fresh, top quality, perfectly served. No need to hide behind fancy sauces. But if thats your thing... you will be very happy here, too. Dont miss a chance to try this place.

50/50 roll yes!; Gyoza & scallop roll no. The gyoza were deep fried. And the scallop roll was an excessive and heavy pile of mush on top of a California roll. I didnt finish either. Both made me feel gross. The 5050 roll, while it sounds kind of gross, is actually delightful.Lots of kids at this location during happy hour 3 to 7pm.

Quarantine - Take out meal:Spent about $90 to treat my gf and myself.Pros:Softshell Crab was on point. Good portion, perfect crunch, not overly fried.Fresh Water Eel was soft and deliciousSashimi tasted freshCons:Sashimi platter (15 pieces). I would describe this as half sized pieces, picture a half dollar coin. Was not worth the price, imo.Toro Sushi - The toro was more fat than tuna, by a 2:1 ratio. The fat portion was very chewy.If youre a sushi purist, this is not a place for you.If you like baked and specialty rolls, this place does a decent job.

Average sushi place.Came in during peak dinner hours and it was surprisingly pretty empty. Glad that I was able to sit down right away and order immediately. Service was good and fast, but the sushi was definitely very average and a bit pricey. I came with another person and we shared three rolls, sesame chicken, and got a bowl of udon as well. We got the rainbow roll, red rock, and the tres amigo. Rainbow roll tastes like every other rainbow roll Ive had, so it was good. The red rock was crispy rice. It was a little disappointing because I got sick of the roll after a few bites. The sauce was too sweet and had to eat it in between bites of other rolls to finish it. The tres amigo was hands down my favorite, but this is because Im a fan of soy paper. The sesame chicken and udon were pretty average. Not bad but not my favorite dishes on the menu.

I have been to Kumadori before and have always really enjoyed my experience, the service and of course the food. But tonight....tonight was stellar!!! We ordered:- No. 6 Roll: shrimp tempura wrapped in soy paper topped with fresh tuna, spicy creamy sauce, and wasabi tobiko- Baked Langostino Roll: california roll topped with baked crawfish, mushroom and dynamite sauce- Special Spicy Rainbow Roll: shrimp, asparagus and cucumber wrapped with tuna, salmon, tilapia and avocado- Pink Lady: spicy crabmeat and avocado wrapped in salmon on top of cucumber slices.I have a bad habit at times of sticking to the usual rolls that I gravitate towards but today I decided to step outside my sushi bubble a bit! And..the pay off? I loved everything that I tried! The Pink Lady was so simple yet robust - really celebrated the creaminess of the salmon itself. The Special Spicy Rainbow Roll had a good balance of spice, freshness, and crunch! Woooo ....and the spice from the No.6 had me refilling my water glass but it was a good burn!

This sushi restaurant is located near both shopping centers, The Americana at Brand and Glendale Galleria. Its worth leaving the food courts there for a quick walk across the street and stopping here.Very friendly and fast service, delicious dishes. Clean and stylishly furnished with a Far Eastern ambience.

Delicious Japanese-style soup with steamed rice, vegetable tempura, seasoned onion rings, jasmine tea, a sushi roll called Dragon, just like my Chinese horoscope. Simply exquisite! I would order it again!
