Service was horrible. Took the waitress 4 tries to take my order, constantly rushing off to another table for one reason or another. To make things worst, she unable (or unwilling..) to make any recommendation of dishes to try. I should have left right there without ordering food, big mistake.The place looks like a mess, Covid style divides with restaurant supplies stored right next to diners. The bathroom was a mess and falling apart.Food was below average.Never returning there.

Pretty great place. Was looking for a place that had some vegan and sweet and sour, this place did not disappoint. Also got a soup with some vegan dumplings in them, was tasty! Lots of vegan options for all kinds of dishes, will definitely be back.

For the same price go to erewhon for a combo plate frankly. It’s better quality food certified organic, and WAY tastier, and made with attention. The beef I ordered was so cooked impossible to Chew.. what a deception, never again.

Don’t understand the poor reviews, we had great service and great food.Ordered the Lo Mein, orange chicken and beef with broccoli. The orange chicken was one of the best I’ve ever tried. Slightly crispy while juicy at the same time; amazing sauce and a tiny hint of spice. The broccoli beef was equally exceptional, very juicy and amazing flavor. The only thing lacking was the Lo mein - a bit dry and somewhat flavorless but paired well with the entrees.Will definitely be back. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Overall highly recommended

DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM HERE! COMPLETELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY SENT ME THE WRONG ITEMS. NOT TO MENTION KUNG PAO BISTRO SENT ME SHRIMP AND I’M DEATHLY ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH. I’m a foodie and go to restaurants in Los Angeles often. I also order out often. I ordered 6 meal items and when I received the order, Kung Pao Bistro sent me 2 items that were completely different than any of the items that I ordered. When I called, they said they couldn’t do anything about sending me the completely wrong items and I would have to re-order. Kung Pao Bistro did not refund me or do anything to rectify the situation. Not to mention, the items they sent me I was allergic to since I’m allergic to shellfish. Worst experience at any Chinese food restaurant in LA, or nationally in the US as I travel often for work.

Had a great meal there with my friend. We shared our entrees and they were both very good. We had Kung Pao Chicken & BBQ pork chow fun. It was certainly reasonably priced and the service was terrific. I will definitely be back. There are several dedicated parking spaces for the restaurant, which I very much appreciated. We were there on a Tuesday night around 7 and it wasnt terribly busy.

There are amazing vegan options! They have salads, soups and delicious dishes with meatless “meat”!I ordered Beef with broccoli and corn soup and it was exactly that I wanted. Taste really good!I recommend for vegans, vegetarians and their non-vegan friends :)

The shrimp was very fresh in the honey walnut dish and not overly sauced so it stayed crispy. LOVED the 3 musketeers. The garlicky kung pao sauce was delicious and the meat was super high quality. I would have gone spicer but I added some chili oil and it smacked! The crab Rangoon was mid, but then again I don’t like when they incorporate imitation crab meat. Would definitely order again but only as a treat because the dishes are EXPENSIVE! Although I was impressed with the large portions so I might just order one item next time. I definitely ordered at a good time (around 3 for a late lunch) So my order didn’t feel rushed or like it had been sitting around. I’m always scared to try a new Chinese place because the quality can be very unpredictable but I feel like I made the right choice! 😊

Came here after work for the first time.I got the beef lo mein and chicken wings! Both were delicious. I liked how the lo mein tasted, but everyone has different taste. Its not to soggy or oily!! And the wings were the regular baked. I liked how they added green onions, i think cilantro, red hot pepper, and fried jalapeños. However, none were mildly spicy which I understand. They gave me soy sauce but no hot sauce, which I should asked for. So ask if you want that for sure!! The customer service was okay, friendly.Would definitely come again.

Ordered for the first time on Postmates. So pleasantly surprised! Haven’t tasted this delicious style of Chinese food in a while. Food came very quickly and still warm when arrived.Chicken Lo Mein - my sister ordered this (Im vegetarian), large portion size, she says it is standard deliciousness, nothing too special compared to other places but very yummy.Hot Garlic Eggplant with Fried Tofu - very delicious, it actually wasnt spicy (I have low spice tolerance too). So maybe the hot part of the name is not referring to spiciness? I wouldnt know but I definitely appreciated that because I was worried about it being spicy prior to ordering so it was perfect for me!Stir Fried Garlic String Beans - tasty, flavorful, fresh, and delicious.Overall very happy with my order. Definitely plan on ordering again!

Ordered vegan black pepper chicken. What I got was real chicken! When i called, they argued with me. It is not hard to tell the difference when you cut into it. Bottom line, I threw the food out and will never eat there again.

While the manager was VERY accomodating, the person who answered the was the very least. The food was ordered through a delivery service and EXTREMELY late. The poor delivery guy was waiting for over an hour. Finally when the food got here, it was SOOO poorly packaged, i spent a good hlaf hour cleaning it up. I called the restaurant who had NOTHING but excuses, would not even listen to me and I said cant call up here and be disrespectful. It took over half an hour to clean up the food ALL over my things. I managed to eat a few bites of the salad, only to find a small gnat in my food.

A cheerful eatery, with really great service. Fabulous food and we had fun. Creamsicle drink was tasty, and the cheesecake yummy. It was a birthday celebration with long time friends. Solid FoodI ordered the orange chicken and lo mein, the classic combo, was expecting amazing food just from reading the reviews but I was a little disappointed. The orange chicken is good but not great, the noddles where great, overall the flavor was a tad bit bland. I definitely put Hoy Woks over Kung Pao Bistro any day just for their orange chicken alone.Also, I never really mention customer service when reviewing a restaurant, unless it is memorably bad. This wasn’t exactly the case here, but customer service isn’t their strong suit here.

4/14/23, 9 PM. Picked up my order over $70, at the counter asked for some sauces and got 4 small containers but with lot of attitudes-“if you wanted more, I need to charge you”. This package was too big to fit into plastic bags, they put all in a big cardboard box, this cashier was rude about giving out 4 small containers of sauce. Her attitudes need big adjustments, I hope the owner see this review. The food however was good.

The food is really good and tasty. I had to knock out 2 stars because my order was not what I ordered, specifically. 1. I was missing a soup dish (which I did get a refund for even though I would have preferred to have I delivered). 2. A dish had pork added to it (I did not request it), it wouldve been fine except I had a house guest that does not consume pork. 3. The sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls ordered were missing.So I am on the fence with Kung Pao Bistro.

I have ordered from kung pow bistro for years, seems lately there customer service has went down.. it’s seems I need to make sure specific details are on the order, sometimes restaurants can mess that up.. this can be understandable but when the Staff have attitude about accountability issues and the same mistakes it’s Disappointing!

Wow. this place is so good! the place looks very unassuming from the outside, but the food was really good. they have a few non-basic menu items which was nice. my favorites were the black pepper udon and the hawker noodles. we never had these anywhere else and we’re so glad to found our new neighborhood spot.

One of my favorite restaurants to eat in LA! If you’re vegan or vegetarian there are plenty of options, I highly recommend the Kimchi Brussel Sprouts, the Vegan Hot Garlic Chicken and the Tofu in Brown Sauce. You can add a side of rice for just $1 to compliment any entrée, and the egg rolls are vegan too! Everyone’s super friendly and eager to help you out with any questions :) a must go for anyone who enjoys food cooked to perfection!

My wife and I would have had a fabulous experience - food was excellent, the service to US was fabulous, our food server was wonderful to US. However, we did NOT have a fabulous experience. While my wife and I enjoyed top-notch service, sitting two tables from us, in this almost empty restaurant, with several employees, was a gentle mid-90ish woman, and another woman of less years. I saw them quietly enter, sit and order. While our server was attending to us, something crashed from the table on to the floor and the person of the younger, leaving red splatterings upon her dress and across the floor beneath where she sat. But for a glance, not a reaction by our server. After a few passings of this obviously distressed customer with what appeared to be glass on her thigh, and a request by her for help, they brought her a bunch of paper towels and just handed them to her. No nice words to her, no help. Then she awkwardly arose appearing like to turn towards the way to the door, and I, only a customer, asked her if I could help her. She replied that she was going to see if she had a rag in her car. I told her that I can get her a rag here. She said she asked but they gave her paper towels (which I witnessed entirely). I saw one of the employees simply sitting at a table and I asked for rag. She had one at the table and said you can have this one. I, a customer, handed it to this lady. I witnessed them to continue to ignore her, serve her and others food. She got up and I asked if I can be of more assistance and I helplessly said, Im so sorry - she said she is going to the bathroom to clean up and asked if I could watch the other person. I stood next to the almost 100ish lady trying to make small talk and to be civil in the restaurant. I felt like going Rambo. She returned, and I asked an employee if they had a mop and can someone clean this up from the floor. One of the employees got some paper towels, and tossed them on the floor, and with her foot, moved the towels over the mess on the floor. No comments. No smiles. No apologies. I had great service. But this forced me to be either an apathetic accomplice or to assist in what appeared to be outrageously indecent treatment of the elderly, and I could not help but notice that the younger lady was black. It is hard to believe anyone could be so ignorant to treat someone badly based upon their skin color, and it is harder to imagine to do so to who was likely the caregiver for someone who may have been 100 years old. I will NEVER return to this place.

Very unhappy that do not allow you to dine in without proof of vaccination. My family and I drove 30 mins to come here as the food looked amazing, but were immediatley turned away at the door. Love this place, the best Asian food (mainly Chinese, some Thai). Nearby (for me), my friends and I have come here nearly every Friday for the last 9 years. It was the Crispy Beef specialty that originally hooked me - cant even describe how delicious this is or what mysterious spices they use. The cool thing is there is a vegan version of it also. Many vegan choices available, which makes it great that you can eat together, vegan and omnivores. Also have beer, wine, cocktails, - friendly, fast. Since working from home, have been coming here for the lunch specials, too.

We have ordered from this location some years back and it was decent food. We ordered last night, eggrolls, a vegan dish, kung pao chicken all with steamed rice. I also added a side dish of some grilled chicken on sticks.After placing the order, within approximately three minutes, I got a message on my phone saying the order was ready. My wife went and picked it up brought it home and honestly it was nasty. All the food tasted like chemicals and I’m convinced the egg rolls went into the fryer directly from the freezer.It’s not possible for good food to be prepared w/in three minutes so I conclude they prepare all the food early and booya, it’s done.My stomach is all messed up and I can’t leave my crib for fear of being too far from a toilet.

Kung Pao Bistro has been the one of my favorite Restaurants for a really long time, since I lived in West Hollywood back in the year of 2000... Its an upscale Restaurant with consistent food quality and home-made taste with highly affordable prices. We bought a house in the 2003 year and moved like 50 miles East of LA. Unfortunately Im not going there any more as often as Id like to, but any time I go, nothing has changed..!? They still serve high quality, delicious food with highly affordable prices. Interior has calm and soothing feeling as I know about it... Although, they do refresh it from time to time with new paint and make stylish changes, but that old calm and soothing feeling has not been gone anywhere!?

They have a variety of dishes available for their lunch special where you get soup, salad, rice with entree and spring roll for 9-12 bucks.I enjoyed my garlic chicken with miso soup combo. I ended up taking the robot chicken lunch special home to my son. He liked it but thought the dish was too watery. He did not enjoy the consistency of the hot and sour soup as I do but he appreciated the flavors.I was nosy while waiting for my food and noticed the other patrons also had vibrant and delicious looking dishes. I would come here again and maybe take advantage of their weekend buffet.

I actually changed my Uber destination so that I could have lunch, before the dining room closed.Wasnt going to happen though, and these girls could not have cared less. I arrived at 3:22, and was basically told that they didnt want to seat me and would kick me out of the dining room at 3:30. I live down the street so it’s a convenient spot. If this review was based solely on the food I’d probably give it 5 stars.However, and I don’t normally b*tch, but the service is horrible. If you’re doing anything but carry out, avoid this place. I’ve dined in 3 times over the course of a year and it was 3 too many. It seems like the staff are constantly overwhelmed and stressed out, plus I think the waiters and waitresses pool tips so they don’t really give a s about service. Can’t blame them I guess.

Best service I experienced in a long time. Never had to ask for more water or to take food home. They offered! They checked in with us by asking how everything was and the food was delicious. This place is above the rest for quality of great food. So many options to choose from and always HITS THE SPOT! If I lived in the area, I would go here 5 times a week cause its really worth it. Plus the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. This place makes my mouth water everytime I order and wait for my food. They have many tasty vegan options that are just outright super bombay! The food here is really quite good. The reason for my 3-star review is their pricing. The cost is excessive for both appetizers and entrees. The portions are small in compare to similar Chinese/American restaurants. Further, when you call the restaurant directly, an automated voice prompts you to press a few buttons in order to speak with a person... but not before you hear all about their online offerings.

Had a play at the Short & Sweet Festival a block away from KPB. Arrived at the start of happy hour. Theres a great selection of cocktails and the appetizers are perfect for sharing. I was so surprised when I accidentally went to have a bite to eat at Kung Pao Bistro. I have almost no teeth touching each other that I can chew on. I ended up at Kung Pao Bistro and wasnt sure what I could eat due to my condition. The waitress recommended Won Ton Soup. I was able to eat all of it and was totally surprised when I got my bill. We ordered the hot/sour soup, general chows chicken and the Kung Pao 3 musketeers. The soup was more sour than hot. And the two entrees were almost the same. My friend and I couldnt taste any major differences in flavor. We were disappointed.Service was interesting. It started out well from this Asian lady. New menu serves food on a Chinese type tray. All items on the one tray. Service is timely, but servers seem disinterested.They now charge for tea, which, in the Chinese tradition, was always complimentary.(cheap)Still, all that said, the food is tasty, and well priced. The enviroment is less than lovely. But still a good port for a vegetarian in a storm.

When I used to live in the WeHo area I would often order delivery from this restaurant. I dont get back here all that often these days but it is still a pleasant restaurant with good (but safe) Chinese food. What i mean by safe is that this is pretty much Americanized Chinese food. Theres nothing wrong with that and all the dishes I have tried were very tasty but dont expect to find any exotic Chinese food dishes here. I would compare their dishes to Panda Express but a cut above Panda Express. In other words, flavorful dishes that are meant to appeal to a broad range of palettes just like Panda Express but with slightly more elaborate recipes that give them an edge over Panda Express. They also have many vegetarian options and I hear that they are good but I am not a vegetarian so I havent tried any of them. Still, if you are a vegetarian there is more to choose from on their menu than most restaurants that are not actual vegetarian restaurants. They can get a bit busy at times but all in all the pleasant environment and good quality Chinese food is worth dealing with the occasional lunch or dinner rush.

I ordered food this evening. The polite demeanor of the delivery staff member was the highlight of the dinner. The chicken cadhew and Mongolian beef dishes were each 80-85% zucchini. I had never seen that before and hope to never see that again in any dish. The food was also very greasy.Finally, the price exceeded far better Chinese food by a factor of 2. Paying $75 for these two dishes plus fried rice and Lo Mein was shameful and outrageous. Even if I were desperate I would avoid ordering again from Kung Pao Bistro.
