Had always talked to my boyfriend about wanting to go to a place like this. He surprised me one day for a date by bringing me here! This place is the best! Its very affordable and you end up feeling very satisfied. The service here is phenomenal!! Everything is made very well and its a really cute and fun place to go to with your family, friends, and partners! And the best part is that once youre done, youre able to roam around the mall and walk-off the food that you just ate!

This is a fun place to eat. The sushi is good, and comes right to you via plates on a constantly moving conveyer belt. Once you eat your sushi, you slide your plate through a slot in the counter. There is also a cute little robot that brings your drinks to the table. Good food, great atmosphere.

Yummy food. The food is brought to you in the revolving bar. Its $3.50+ for the sushi, depending on what you get. The one in Brea is a good place to eat since its where everyone wants to go rather than one in Ontario.A variety of sushi and free refill of course. You wait for your name to be called to be seated.Its popular so go early.

Fun experience and fast service once you sit. The line to be seated can be long so join the wait list early. Basically you can take from the revolver or order straight to your table (it will literally slide to you). Was serviced by humans and machines. Its a nice touch that you get a special prize after so many plates (sold separately if youre not that hungry). Would recommend if you are interested in an exciting type of sushi with some old favorites.

Staff were friendly but their waitlist systems prediction is a bit off. This location is smaller compared to all the other Kura locations. Seats were a bit close to other parties but had nice atmospheres. Food we had that day were fresh, really recommend the Cream Cheese Salmon.Overall, nice experience with this location.

The overall everything was good and nice for a casual sushi experience. Knowledge Check, the table set is much better than the counter set. We have been set at close to the exist door and the place give a weird feeling. The food was good and match the price. I was hoping to see more diffidence unique sushi dish, but it is a little place to handout.

Its such a cool concept! Love that you can take whatever looks good and dont have to wait to order! The TV plays a little cartoon every 5 plates and shoots out a prize at 15 plates, which was very easy to eat 15 plates between my boyfriend and I! I also love the little robot that gave us our drinks. That was so cool!☺️

We were in Rancho and left because the roller was broken. My wife swore that this place was fun so we found another location and ran over. The Brea location was phenomenal.On the ride over, we set an appointment and our table was ready a few minutes later.Once we sat down, our waitress explained the process. You use a touch screen to order the drinks and they are brought out by a robot (OMG!!!)They have sushi that moves around on a conveyor. You grab the dish you want off the conveyor and when done, send the plate down the chute to be counted.They have fried options, soup and deserts that can be ordered on the touch screen also. These arrive on a separate conveyor.Once you are done, you pay on your phone.We had a great staff and great experience. Can’t wait for our next visit.

First time at a revolving sushi bar. The food was good and if an item caught our interest but the plates were empty on the conveyor belt, we could easily place an order for our table directly. We had about an hour wait for a table when we walked up on Sunday afternoon. At least there is the mall to explore and pass time. The parking lot was a bit hectic as it is a mall.

Went here recently for lunch with my mom.We sat at the table and the seats were pretty torn up. I think its time for re-apolstry.Regardless, the food was okay. It was nice having a conveyor belt send us food. But still, on our visit.. I thought everything was decent. The water was brought to us by a wheeled robot device which was nice.The plates really added up as well as ordering from their menu. We ordered some ramen. The size was small but price was high.In the end you can rack up a bill eating by the plate.

Fun experience. Very casual and good for quick eats. Definitely worth trying.The food is ok at best, and very small portions, not a good overall value.The experience is pretty fun though. Its nice to be able to grab whatever looks good and try it out. In addition to the revolving belt, you can also order from a screen and the food is fun to watch how it gets there.They have robots that bring drinks, LCDs to order from, and revolving sushi, so its hard to justify tipping the staff.Booths are small and its very loud and bright. So be aware if any of those bother you. Also be aware that parties over 4 might have an issue sitting closeby.I would recommend going here with kids, on a date, or even by yourself as you can sit at the bar.

Kura doesnt pretend to have the best sushi or ramen in town, but when the bells go off, the monitor lights up, and that bowl of goodness you ordered a few minutes ago slides right next to your table, youll understand why this place rocks.Various types of sushi will drift by you as they float along the revolving conveyor belt. If you see one you like, simply grab it and enjoy. One that stuck out to me was the salmon golden crunchy roll. Its pretty tasty. If your not feeling the floating sushi, you can lookup and order directly from the menu. After a few minutes it will arrive at your table via one of the secondary conveyor belts.Aside from the sushi, the tonkotsu ramen was surprisingly good and just the right size. It comes with half a soft boiled egg, a few slices of pork, scallion, garlic, and a handful of noodles with just the right amount of give when you bite into them.The place is small and youll most likely find yourself waiting for a table. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly too.Almost forgot, the wasabi is authentic too and its a good burn. 🥹

I must have gone at the busiest time because it took close to 30 minutes to get seated, saw multiple groups seated ahead of us even though we were first. I had my hopes up high that it was busy due to the food however the food did not justify the wait time. The food was not bad, but it was limited. The green tea was terrible, looked like bog water. All things considered I probably will not return. For 2 children and 3 adults the total came to $102. I feel a better meal could have been purchased for this price.

The staff here is nice and like all of their locations, it’s fast and delicious. But the wait times on the app are all kinds of wrong. You put your name on the app and it gives you an estimated wait time. In my experience, it’s often inflated. People put their names on it when it’s a two hour wait and don’t show up. It said up to an hour when I put my name on the list, but it took more than an hour and a half. That’s kind of ridiculous for a place that lets you add your name to the list when you’re not even there.

A great concept for Brea. Service was very helpful for a newbie. I enjoyed two dishes from the moving service conveyor. Prices reasonable for the mall. Restaurant was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Restaurant entrance from the inside of the mall isnt so great. Customers walk past the restrooms to the restaurant.

Dear god is this sushi bad. Everything else can be excusable, but the food in general was worse than grocery store sushi. It wasnt exactly cheap either. Theres some fun things like the free gacha capsule, the robot waiter (got old when seated at the bar as it played its music constantly as it drove by us), and the novelty of the plates and the conveyor belt but these got old rather quickly. The noodles were soggy, the soup too thin and the cream cheese was unsalted and too solid. The fish itself was thin and of low quality. The best food there was the harajuku summer salad! While cute and good for a fun time, this is not somewhere Id ever want to return to personally unless its for someone who hasnt tried this style of dining before.

This place has the modern conveyor belt experience with interactive shows every five plates. The made to order stuff comes out quickly and the announcement is pretty cool. It is definitely on the expensive side but was a very enjoyable experience.

Revolving sushi bar is a nice gimmick to those that have never seen it before. But honestly, after the first couple, I still find myself coming back for more, not because of the excitement, but because of the convenience. I can literally sit down, chow down, and leave. All within 20 minutes.I am a sushi fanatic myself and the sushi here is as good as any sushi restaurants out there. Honestly, a lot of sushi restaurants in socal are pretty great already, so its hard to compare. That being said, if you are looking to eat lots without hurting the wallet, this is probably not the place, cuz it does get expensive after a few plates. BUT, if you are looking for something thats new and exciting and want great tasting sushi on a time budget, then this is probably the place. I came for the belt, but I stayed for the convenience. Hope this helps someone out there :)

First time visiting this chain. I like their sushi and price is right. I also tried their Ramen which is good. I like their menu which is full of options beside sushi.. The toy reward is awesome for kids. The only thing Id complain is the cleanliness of the restaurant. It isnt dirty but could be more neat as a Japanese concept. Make sure you join their loyalty program which you get $5 off every $50 spent (easily). We forgot to do that to begin with.

This location for Kura located by the Macys at the Brea mall and is very small. The gimmick is that it is conveyor belt sushi so you dont have to interact with other humans to order food or drink. During peak hours, wait times can be up to an hour long or more! I definitely suggest getting the app to sign in to their wait list. Its much easier to check your phone for the wait time and then go about your business exploring the mall.Service is absolutely stellar! Our server was very accommodating and quick with refills of drinks. The sushi is super fresh, and they also have tempura and other items on the menu. Just dont go too hungry, its easy to rack up a HUGE bill if you just keep grabbing plates off the belt.Every 15 plates gives you a gatchapon toy. They occasionally change the types of toys they give out, but my favorite is the nano block style sushi sets!

This is NOT the freshest sushi I have ever eaten, but service is fast. You can literally have a meal from start to finish in 20 minutes. The amount of food for the price is reasonable. This is the fast food version of sushi 🍣 and not sushi grade fish. It is previoulsy frozen fish. If you want higher quality sushi, go somewhere else pricier. If you want a reasonable meal, and your not too picky about the fish being previously frozen, then this will work for you.

Maybe try a different location. This ones pretty small and tends to get very busy at dinner (not a surprise of course). However, they had a more limited selection compared to the other locations and last few times I dined here, the sushi was really warm :(. The wagyu too tasted like something was off and it was too old, my friend felt the same way. Try to go to a different location for more room and better quality, but its fine if youre in a hurry. The chefs and workers were good.

The food in the belt was not fresh at all, the only thing we thought was better than ok was the Ramen and shrimp tempura that was ordered from kitchen, not on the revolving belt. Yes the plates added up very quickly! So although it seems $ it is per plate $$.(most plates have 2 pieces). I liked the spicy popcorn shrimp roll. The spicy garlic popcorn shrimp roll was ok, the spice and dried garlic on top was too much and not very good, would be so much better with fresh garlic. My favorite place was Blue C Sushi but since they closed years ago, this is an alternative. I would order noodles or another side next time and not just fill up on the small plates.The place is small and the wait was very long.(weekend visit)The service was very good, Daniel provided great customer service.

Apparently from the time of walking from our car, to the door, they closed claiming the mall forced us to start kicking people out, but not like kick them out, but serve them as fast as possible. The mall isnt closed by the way. I still see people going inside and shopping. Exceptionally unprofessional. The restaurant was completely cleaned and empty by the time we got to the door. 5 stars in term of food, cleanliness, and most of the service. This happened on Tuesday: June 28th, 2022 around noon. Everything was going well, and everyone was very friendly until my husband ordered a ramen that came with a red plate and a server told us to put it down the chute (which we did) however we realized that it was counted as another $3.20 on the bill plus the $8.50 that the ramen was supposed to cost. This is no big deal on its own, when we finished the rest of our meal (which was delicious) we asked for the check and let our server know that we were accidentally charged an extra $3.20. Jessica was a sweetheart and very helpful in fixing this issue on our bill; however, the server with the name tag Anaheim was extremely rude not just to us but to other customers as well. We watched as she rolled her eyes and glared at other customers and us. People would ask her questions and she would reply curtly or with an attitude. When our server, Jessica was explaining to Anaheim the error on our bill, Anaheim replied very rudely that its impossible for that to happen. Why would we lie over $3.20? Anaheim should not be working with customers. She had an awful attitude with her coworkers and customers. My husband and I are looking for a new sushi spot since our favorite one didnt survive Covid, but we are hesitant to come back when there is a chance at getting bad service. We made sure to leave Jessica a good tip, but again Anaheim should not be working with customers, she will drive business away.

Make no mistake; the food here is very nice, but the reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because of the service I had received. I usually come here to eat when I am craving sushi in one way or another and the service is usually excellent. But yesterday, on 6/2/19, I was met with two heavily indifferent staff members that did not acknowledge me the entire time I was there. I waited for them to place me in a seat for 15 MINUTES AFTER they had called me. There wasnt a problem with any of the seats or anything of the sort. They just didnt notice me at all standing in the EMPTY line next to the door. The bar had a couple of seats open that were clean and ready to be sat at. After I was placed, they gave me a drink and never came back until I hit checkout.TL;DR: Service was terrible and I was ignored for the entire time I was there. Food is good, though.

Over the past few years, the prices for sushi plates and other plates such as ramen and beef bowls has also increased. While I understand the reasons behind increasing prices, the sizes of the portions have also become drastically smaller. As prices get higher and portions get smaller, it’s no longer convenient to eat here because you no longer feel full. It’s no longer a causal dine in but almost a waste of money. It’s still a really nice place however it’s not really worth the money anymore, since the quality of the food is nothing special.

Great atmosphere brought on by the incredibly unique idea (at least to me) of revolving sushi. They play fun little videos for every 5 plates you eat (usually composing of 3-4 pieces of sushi) and drop a prize themed by their partner (as of right now Hello Kitty, where it used to be One Punch Man) every 15 plates you eat. There seems to be something up with management tho, sometimes you can tell their chefs are brand new (wraps fall apart, not sticky rice) and I see new servers more frequently than old ones. Its not that bad. At first, I was really hesitating visiting this location just because of the 3/5 rating. I figured with the new management the experience might be slightly better. Luckily we had zero issues with this restaurant. The quality might not be top notch, BUT its still good. They have a really good selection of sushi rotating on the conveyor belt and a wide array of items available for order on the tablet. Just keep an eye on your bill or the price of what you order, your bill could easily stack up. Personally, I did not like the ramen or udon they have on their menu. Lunch is typically a less than 30 minute late, but dinner could potentially be over a 2 hour wait. Also, I dont like having trash build up on my table. For those who are looking to discover sushi for the first time, or any Japanese foods for that matter, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is certainly not the place to do so. This place reeks of low quality food and preparation. The fish used in the nigiri has little to no flavor; for example, the salmon and tuna are completely indistinguishable. Combined with a rubbery texture, you would be better off eating a fruit roll-up™ on top of rice instead of Kuras nigiri. The rolls fare no better, sporting stale crabmeat and soggy cucumbers all the while dripping in sauce. The hot foods are nothing to write home about either. Any fried item is either caked in batter or over-fried. But the most egregious offence is the fact that they charge extra for hot tea. While there is no de facto rule that green tea must be free, it certainly raises an eyebrow that a restaurant which charges 2.50 per plate of sushi, cant cover the cost of tea. The only saving grace of this place is the presentation. Clearly most of the budget went into the stores infrastructure, which sports a simple to use interface and plucky delivery system. If youre looking to satisfy your taste buds, be prepared for dissapointment.

Ive been a long time costumer of Kula and visited Kura for the first time since the name change. Two items I always order are the Poke Bowl and a real crab California roll. Both of these items were majorly disappointing based on the use of alternative products. I was disgusted by the blue crab in the California roll, as not only is this an inferior product from the original crab, but it entirely alters the flavor. The Poke Bowl also had a crab replacement beneath the sashimi, and this altered both the flavor and texture of the bowl. If these are changes that will remain, I am greatly disappointed. I hope these changes are temporary, otherwise I will miss Kula, but have no choice but to run for the hills.

Quaint little revolving sushi place. Very authentic, however, there are a few rolls that had been sitting on the revolver a little too long and there were these little flies buzzing all over the place.

We like to go to this place while visiting Brea Mall. Food was good and the service was excellent. I like the salad as a new menu. Good place to eat for family and friends.
