The meat in the shredded taco was extra extra dry the taco shell cracked down the middle before I could bite it...lol twas to warm in there. However! If it werent for the very helpful and patient older lady at the front counter the trip almost wouldve sucked. I would like to make mention here about the absorbent price. We ordered one shredded beef hard shell taco and one Carne sada French fries, large sweet tea, one beer. The person I was there with said get a childrens meal itll be cheaper, thus I did and the grand total almost knocked me out...62.00 dollars and change. Too much Dinero wayyy too much. Thank you for reading this I hope all your yummy taco days are filled with much juicy meat. Heres to a good meal with friends and family and if your alone...thats Ok too, itll be cheaper, take care wear your seat belt and please try and remember to be kind to all wait staff.. they have children too. RAW MEAT - READ THIS REVIEW. Ordered here a number of times and had questionable issues (mild food illness) but never knew exactly where it came from. I ordered the Special #1 yesterday and the Combination burrito (AKA ground beef) had RAW MEAT in it, a chunk the size of a small meatball. See photos. Absolutely unacceptable. Now home sick with the obvious food poisoning, 18 hours later. Thankfully I didnt eat the whole burrito as I saw the raw piece after I had had 1/3 of it. GROSS. DO NOT ORDER HERE. HORRIBLE customer service too, will not help with a refund and super rude on the phone when I called. Be warned.

If I could give no stars I would. I use to love this place even though they are expensive. I got the shrimp tacos all the time until I got 2 today and after eating one I realized that my tortillas were all spotted blue and moldy 🤮 I can’t explain how disgusted I feel. It’s so obvious they are spoiled I don’t know how they missed that. No spot in town has ever done me this dirty. This is unacceptable service. You’re so called cook is trash and needs to be let go. Not even worth calling them back I don’t want anything coming out of that place again they can’t keep my money 😷💩🤢 this is everyone’s fair warning ⚠️

Came through the drive-thru for the first time and wasn’t to sure it was open ( speaker was just broken ) but a couple of minutes later the lady came out and got my order the food came out quick and it was extra hot I got a carne asada burrito 🌯 added beans and rice to it ( only comes with meat and guacamole ) great burrito good beans good rice good meat and The guacamole was good too just a few too many tomatoes in itwould definitely come back One of the better and biggest burritos I’ve had in a while. Super good food. I’m a picky person with Mexican food. This is delicious. My taquitos where fat and crispy. Nice amount of guacamole and queso. I’ll be back soon. I have eaten here 4 times. Always bomb. Sweet girls at the counter too. My new go to. Can’t stand the big place in west hemet intias LV. UKE!! I’ll take this little mom pop joint any day. It’s very clean. The food is 10 stars.

Came to La Cabana today for my first time since moving out to Hemet and the food was so delicious. By far the best Mexican food place I’ve tried out here so far. Authentic Mexican food is hard to come by and this food was Amazing. We will definitely be regulars here now. Only thing I wish I knew was that the burritos didn’t come with beans. But I know In the future to request that now. I Highly recommend this restaurant.

Really good authentic Mexican food! If u have an issue speak to Teo the owner. Service was outstanding on my first visit. Looking forward to breakfast here. Felt welcome great customer service. Contrary to whats been said a pipe burst on the roof causing flood damage therefore closing the place for two weeks. Other than that looking forward to beer and tacos!

Horrible customer service & poorly trained staff. It’s clear that some of the women working there do not know price points. Asked for extra salsa & was told it only comes with large orders and would have to pay for more. We then proceeded to ask how much money is a large order considered, she could not tell us. We spent over $30 so it should not have been that hard to figure out a price point. She did not know the individual price of a salsa cup either. She got frustrated for not knowing her job & closed the window in our face. 😂 word of advice, make your employees LEARN the menu. If your employees don’t like their job, tell them to quit 😊

First time at this place, ordered a breakfast sausage burrito. Bit into my burrito and I did not taste sausage, turns out they put mini Winnie’s!!!! SMFH, You can find these in a bundle at Costco, Sams, Winco, etc. La Cabaña why would you use Winnie’s instead of sausage!!! My wife also got asada tacos, not good not good at all. Salsa was nasty as well. Never coming back!!!

$1.00 soda refills. No exceptions. I used to be a regular customer, eating lunch with my friends 3-5 days a week. My bill was always over $10, often $12 or more, not including a minimum $2 tip. My friends, 2-5 each visit, would often be close or the same, not including tip. I asked the woman, who along with her husband, own the place, if I, as a regular customer who has been a regular since before they bought the place, could have an exception and get my soda refills free. I told her that the fact they even charge or refills is unusual, since no other place in town does it. All she said was a quick and dismissive Sorry, basically blowing me off as though I was asking for something extraordinarily difficult or odd. I explained that since I, along with my friends, think that $1 or that any charge for refills are excessively expensive. Again, the response was another dismissive Sorry. As much as I will miss the good food, I wont miss the exorbitant cost of what, in my opinion, should be a free item, along with things like salsa or chips, and have, along with my friends, decided to visit less often, or not at all, based on her unnecessarily blunt and absolute response, If the owners feel that the charge is just business then I/we feel that my/our taking our hard earned cash somewhere else, where the food is just as good, but the refills are free, is just business for my/our wallets.

I got their crunchy shredded beef taco (SO good!) & enchilada, beans, rice platter & it was so good except for the enchil.sauce being way too sweet & not spicy at all...wish theyd work on that & cater it to Latinos who want a more authentic sauce. Dont get me wrong, it was good but seriously sweet & thats not good...I will never order that item again, sorry but just couldnt eat it. Loved the taco, beans & rice VERY much, you beat your neighboring taco shop on that one 100%! Thank you. :)

Tacos were DELICIOUS and so was the salsa it was great. I asked the waitress several times for some items (chips and extra lemons) and she brought them asap. Thier AC works great my brother and I really enjoyed our time there. I Highly recommend this place for some family bonding time. Prices are good not expansive and the amount of food as well. We will be returning to enjoy the great food. 😁

I love the California burritos from this place. They make huge burritos you can get 2 meals out of, and their Mexican food is hands down the best place in Central Hemet. I also love that they have a drive thru. I go here all the time and have never been disappointed. 10 stars.

This place has gone down hill. The service is horrible, the new girls are so rude. I miss the ladies that use to work there. The one girl (And I dont mean this with any disrespect even though she is always so disrespectful, but I honestly dont know how else to describe her) the bigger girl, is the rudest one. The others are not as bad, but she always has a horrible attitude. If she dosent like her job then why work there. Also, there was a mouse outside of the establishment running in under and around the doors, I noticed as I left. It is just, I dont even know. Sad because it use to be good.

This is our favorite place for Mexican food but it is so hot inside this summer. The air conditioning doesnt work well if at all. I think if customers are willing to sit in that heat to eat (which we have 3 times) you can at least give free refills on drinks.

The lady who served me asked what I wanted through the speaker & I told her my order didnt get a response and when she first asked I didnt get greeted. I was the one who had to say hello so theyd know I was in the line & then after placing my order I dont get a response till a minute later and the lady says give me a minute . It would have been more professional to tell me that ahead of time. Then I look for a name tag and there isnt one on her and the whole time shes walking around rolling her eyes. First time walking into this place and as I entered the restaurant it was super filthy. As I walk up to the register, without even greeting me the cashier girl walks up to the register and say what do you want to order? I was shocked, I couldnt believe at what I was experiencing, but I still managed to keep my cool and be nice and ask for my tacos. Then I order a large horchata water! NEVER NEVER ORDER THEIR HORCHATA WATER!!! It doesnt even taste like horchata, it tastes more like run down milk. Worst experience ever. First and last time I will come here! As a Registered Nurse never eat here, because then I will see you all in my emergency room of food poisoning!

I had a burrito and tacos. The shredded beef was good but the flour tortilla was tough. It would have been better if the meat had more flavor (onion, tomato, cilantro, jalapeno and cheese would have helped). The shredded beef was tender. The carne asada taco meat was tough along with the corn tortillas. The flavor was there. I will probably give them another try hopefully finding them more agreeable. This was my first time.

I went to the drive thru and you can not hear the speaker so i drove up to window. That needs to be fixed. order 2 sopes with no cheese and carne asada fries. NEVER again will i come here. The sopes still had cheese the guy put a ton of lettuce to coved it up in which i had to drive back for them to fix. My meat did not taste like carne asada and it had so much fat that i couldnt keep eating it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person b.c it was alot of food to let it go to waste in which he said Wow thats alot of fat but thank you for the fries he didnt eat the meat. I tried to eat my sope but it was wet and just falling apart from not allowing some of the chicken juice to drain. I paid $15 for me not to eat what i order which really sucked. If you want real carne asada go somewhere else. Save yourself the time and money.

Their food is consistently GREAT! The only drawback is, you dont want to eat right there in the restaurant because there is NO AIR CONDITIONER! Its like an oven in there, with the triple~digit heat 2019 has pounded us with! But for the lack of an A/C, I would have given La Cabaña 5☆, and we get takeout there once or twice every week! Today we went to buy two burritos. One was la cabaña burrito good flavor but expensive for a carne asada burrito almost ten dlls! The second burrito was Chile relleno 🤮 which is what I normally order at any similar restaurants, this second burrito was soaked in oil and a red salsa ( to be honest I have no idea what is the purpose of the red salsa in a chile relleno burrito) I have never seen anything like it 😟 I couldn’t eat my chille relleno burrito, it felt like I was eating vegetable oil with a spoon 😏overall not good experience first time buying there, not planing on going for a second one👎

Honestly just wasted 10minutes waiting in the drive thru, saying hello repeatedly. No one repsonded so I decided to drive up because I thought the intercom was broken. Then another car came up behind and started ordering. It upset me a little bit, so while I waited at the window, the blonde cashier looked over at me and just stood there and didnt bother walking over and ask what I needed. Ive always had problems with these cashiers, there rude and always mess up my orders also they added on to the price of my food. And they decided to to themselves $3 with my information, I later found out from the bank. Will not be returning to that place any time soon.

Nachos with only beans, meat, and cheese only and asked for a taco combo lady said yeah with four tacos and got home checked my order no beans and rice for the combo and the nachos had everything on them so I called back and told them what happen and she said oh we were having a shift change sorry and come back and shell fix the nachos. So I go back they make my nachos right this time and I ask her about the beans and rice she said oh no you didnt pay for that I asked if she can just give me some for the mistake she said no and than I asked can I at least get my money back for the nachos for having to come back she also said no I cant do that usually most places at least do something for there mistake they dont care. The guys who work there are great cooks, but those rude girls they have working the cash register always messes up on someones order, and theyre always over charging even if youre a regular customer and you know how much you paid before for a specific meal its always a different price because the girls dont know their job...And it pisses me off because I just went there tonight and they messed up on my order horribly and overcharged me!👎👎👎😠😤
