2023-10-15 05:44:47Unfortunately, we cant give La Casa Mia a 5 star rating. I chose this restaurant for lunch based on positive Yelp and Google reviews. The menu seemed delicious, but upon our arrival for lunch, we were informed that they had switched to a limited lunch menu, with the full menu available only for dinner.Regrettably, the pizza we wanted to try was unavailable, and we were also disappointed to find that the Matcha tiramisu wasnt an option either. While the service was friendly, the ambiance was charming, and the sake was delightful, our meal and cocktail didnt quite impress us, despite the quality and creativity in the presentation. We might consider visiting for dinner to check out the full mean if we’re in the area.

2023-07-29 19:31:45Nice vibes and cute decorations. Food was delicious, I like the salmon mushroom pasta (not the regular pasta texture though), like soup&salad in the lunch special, pizza maybe 4 star could be a bit more pepperoni. Services good, would come back to try different things

2023-08-13 06:04:57Amazing flavors all around. Japanese Italian fusion is my new favorite cuisine.Ordered the Mentaiko Mochi Pizza, Salmon Risotto and Uni Pasta and all 3 were delicious. Mochi on pizza is interestingly good! You actually chew longer because of the mochi which allows you to savor the flavors longer before swallowing. Uni Pasta was very creamy and savory which I loved. The risotto was also creamy but a lighter flavor compared to the pasta, but still very flavorful.I will definitely be back to explore the menu

2023-04-28 04:54:38Great Japanese Italian fusion restaurant! Service is good and quick. Good to reserve the seat online in advance.- Honey Mustard Fried Chicken: Portion is larger than our expectation. Its really tasty.- Meat sauce pasta with pork cutlet: good taste with a great portion of pork cutlet.- Wagyu sukiyaki tagaliatelle: taste great, noodle is very tender, though portion of beef is small.- Garlic shrimp pizza: The pizza is really thin and crispy. Tasty though not many shrimps on top.- Matcha tiramisu: There are also mochi and red bin paste at the side. Looks great but tiramisu is a bit too sweet, with much cream.

2023-06-17 02:52:00Pretty cool concept of Japanese-Italian fusion. Overall food was good and decently priced. We got the pork cutlet pasta and the mochi mentaiko pizza. Both were interesting and well made but not sure if its something Id re-order. Definitely worth trying for the novelty factor but I wish it had more of a Japanese feel than it did.The place is super small and doesnt really accommodate walk-ins so definitely make a reservation. Theyre also super strict with the timing, so theyll give away your spot if yourre 15 minutes late, even if you call in ahead to let them know.

2023-07-25 14:55:38Weve been wanting to eat @ La Casa Mia for several months and finally our schedule was in sync over the weekend. We reserved an outside table for 4, we ordered the meat sauce pasta w/ pork cutlet, seafood pescatore bianco,-which includes shrimp, mussels, scallop, calm, octopus, white wine sauce and parsley, and a cheese pizza.Everyone really enjoyed their menu choices. The seafood was fresh, the pork cutlet was fried perfectly and the cheese was stretchy and gooey. The table service was fairly quick and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.Would definitely recommend trying La Casa Mia.

2023-01-08 16:56:05La Casa Mia (My home) is located in Santa Clara, CA. When you first walk in, the aesthetics in the interior are very pleasing. I love the pops of green inside and overall it’s just a cozy, cute environment to dine in. This place is known for their creative Japanese and Italian fusion which is a combination fusion that I never heard of before. It’s basically Italian inspired dishes combined with Asian flavors. I got to try a lot of dishes that were Italian inspired but have these parts of Asian flavors that I did not expect and the flavors were just exceptional. They do not disappoint in terms of their big bold Asian flavors while still keeping the Italian cooking in place. My favorite dish out of the dishes I got was the uni pasta. The only pasta was very rich, creamy, salty, and had a nice umami flavor that brought the dish together. The sauce was so perfect and I love the texture of the pasta when you mix the only and every ingredient in the pasta dish is just an 11/10 and it’s just an exceptional dish that I would love to eat every single day. If you are a pasta lover and they offer the Uni pasta as a daily special, make sure you get it because it’s just the most bomb pasta dish I’ve ever had.Another interesting dish that I got was the mochi cheese pizza. I never heard of mochi in a pizza but the mochi texture comes from the cheese and part of the crust as well. You get a good chew on the Mochi pizza but I wish there was a little bit more mochi but at the same time, I do enjoy how it is. You have a nice thin crust that is so pleasurable and the cheese actually tastes good. I think it should have a little bit more mochi texture but the flavor combination of the pizza itself is a nice sweet and salty flavor. Overall, this was a great pizza! For the appetizer, I had the Carpaccio, which is a dish of meat or fish ( such as beef, veal, venison, salmon or tuna), thinly sliced or pounded thin, and served raw, typically as an appetizer. The chef made the carpaccio with tuna and made it like a sahaimi. The flavors of the tuna carpaccio were Asian inspired flavors that had a nice sour and fresh taste. It was absolutely delicious as the sahimi melted in my mouth. The fried tofu salad was a pretty platted and yummy tasting dish. The tofu texture was great and nicely fried. The dish did need a little bit more salt in the tomato sauce and the dish itself. Overall, it was a nice light salad that was pleasurable. For dessert I got the matcha tiramisu which is super Italian and I love how they add matcha because the tiramisu was very light but it had a nice bitter aspect of the dishes well. Overall this Italian Japanese fusion restaurant is exceptional and I love how the dishes are Italian so far but they add Asian flavors to make the dish pop. The bold umami flavors were so exceptional I would definitely come back to try this place again and get more dishes. They even have a nice ambiance as well. This has been by far one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area!
