I have been holding off on writing a review for this best-kept secret here in our neighborhood. Just because we would hate for it to become TOO popular... But I have to give credit where its due. The staff kept up with demanding customers all throughout the Covid pandemic with take-out food. Now its back open to indoor dining once again. The food is very tasty. We love the pan-fried noodles and whatever the fresh vegetable of the day is. They have lunch specials that are good. The won ton soup is really yummy. Kudos to Joyce who always greets us with a smile.

Super legit! Decent food at reasonable price AND friendly service. What more could you ask for! I stopped in on a whim in the middle of laundry mat adventures so I was blown away at their prices in San Diego it’s rare to see this. Come, experience and enjoy.

This is yet another hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant in San Diego. Skip all the larger chain restaurants and try this one instead! They have plenty of seating, the staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. The orange chicken was very crispy and delicious, the crab rangoons were cooked perfectly, and the fried rice was excellent. This restaurant has some of the best orange chicken that Ive tried as well. There is plenty of parking, as this restaurant is located in a pretty big strip mall. I found this restaurant on a recommendation, and I will definitely be going back for more when Im in the area.

Ordered chicken lo mein got horrible food poisoning! I was sick for days had to see a doctor to check for dehydration. Called to speck to the manager and inform him. Instead of apologizing and offering to refund the cost of the meal but, he argued with me and to convince me I was allergic to MSG! Im half Chinese and definitely not allergic to MSG. Wont be going back there.

Been dining here for nearly 25 years... they have the best food, but the secret gem?... Their wanton soup... we call it the Magic Soup, because every time we ever had a cold we go get the family size wonton soup and the next day, cold is gone!Service is great and the husband and wife that run the place are super sweet and have wonderful senses of humor!... They also do to go orders and they have generous portions weather you dine in or take out.

This local eatery is one of my favorite places to eat, been eating here for several years and never disappointed! If you want good fresh Chinese food, with a very friendly, and helpful staff, this is the place to go. Nothing fancy, just good food. And June always has a smile and laugh when we come in! Good menu, lots of choices- spicy or mild, daily lunch specials at great prices! I strongly recommend !!

The BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had! (I’m actually eating it as I write this.)It’s always fresh and delicious. They have the most tender meat ever - the chicken and the beef are always amazing in every dish they make. My favorites are the orange chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken with snow peas, combination stir fry udon, and the pecan shrimp! Very generous portions. My mom loves their wonton soup. They have never disappointed me and I’ve been coming here for years. The lunch & dinner specials are great deals btw!

I have never posted a review of any restaurant I have ever eaten at. But I do need to review this one, it was the worst experience Ive ever had for Chinese food ever. I have never had sweet and sour pork fried in balls and with very little taste. My wonton soup was barely warm but did have flavor. I would never eat at this restaurant again.

The server was pleasant and mostly knowledgeable. The one thing she did not know, however, was that the plum sauce was sweet. My dining guest asked if it was sweet or not sweet, and the server said it was not sweet, which my guest was glad to hear. When the plum sauce arrived however, not only was it sweet, but it was watery. It soaked through the moo shu pancakes instead of being a thick, clingy sauce. After we placed our order, the server asked if I wanted rice. Yes, of course. Doesnt it come with rice? At a Chinese restaurant, I expect rice to be included. Nope. $1.50 extra for a small bowl of white rice! I wanted to leave, but my companion was too hungry and wanted to stay, so we stayed. Nowhere on the menu did it say that entrees did not include rice.My mixed vegetable dish contained about 30% cabbage, which was way too much cabbage. My vegetables were drowning in sauce that was way too salty. It tasted like pure soy sauce. The vegetables were otherwise good, fresh and lightly sauteed.About 20 minutes before the restaurant was supposed to close, we were given our check without being asked if we wanted anything else. A few minutes later, they rushed to take away our dishes and did so quite noisily. By time we left, 12 minutes before their stated closing time, they had turned off their open sign.We wont be back.

I’m the president of the USC Triathlon team. For a race in the local area, we brought 16 people here on a Saturday night, and the staff treated us all so nicely and politely. Not only was the service great, but also the food was amazing. The staff was able to accomodate all of the team’s dietary needs and restrictions. So glad we brought the team here!

Hands down… We’ve lived in North Carolina, Texas, California and Japan for the BEST Chinese food we come to La China in the little community of Fletcher Hills, San Diego, California. You want good tasting food without the celery filler?.. this is the place. We ordered crispy beef, cashew chicken, shrimp with snow peas, Saigon noodles fried rice and steamed rice, all so good and each taste unique. NO fillers here!

I got the Salt and Pepper wings. I’m not sure about the other menu items but these wings are so NASTY. I got 2 orders thinking they would be good but just lost $17. The salt and pepper seasoning is burned to a crisp and looks like burnt crust from the skillet that the cook scraped and put over the chicken in the plate. The chicken skin tastes sweet like they used the same batter from the sweet and sour chicken to fry it in. This is the only menu item I’ve tried as this was my first visit and I will not be going back. If you can’t fry chicken then you can’t cook anything.

I use to come here so the time but one day i asked for a cup of ice and she told me that well she has to charge me $0.50 and I said thats fine so as soon as I get home I see that they charged me for the price of a drink if thats the case why didnt they just tell me that and just give me a drink instead of charging me regular price her dream just to get ice. I was pretty shocked but its fine just wont take my business there other places give out free cups of water or ice but they charge me for regular drink just for ice

So darn disappointing when you spend hard earned money on substandard food. The salt and pepper wings aren’t even close. Too much breading, oily, and no salt or pepper taste at all. The BBQ ribs are dry, oh so dry, and no taste. We are here about 10-12 years ago and decided to give it a second chance. Well, never ever again.

Ordered the chicken kung pao to go on 9/5/22. The chicken was over cooked and the sauce was bitter and tasted burnt. Plenty of onion skin in it too. The dish is just chicken onion and peanuts, no hint of garlic or ginger or bell pepper. The onions were inconsistent sizes and undercooked. Once again, can’t stress enough how bad the sauce is. Will not be coming back and would not recommend.

Check out their lunch specials that I believe go from 11:00-3:30. Very comfortable modest decor as well. This is a very good neighborhood Chinese restaurant. I had the Cashew Chicken and my friend had shrimp in lobster sauce which I sampled. They both were very good, flavorful but not too spicy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to friends.

I recently placed a pickup order of 2 chicken & corn soups. When I got home,by the time I got to the bottom of the container,there was no chicken or corn. Today I placed an identical order & mentioned about the previous order & the gentleman told me that I should have called then. This little hideaway is fast and typically a to go spot. We have eaten there 5 or 6 times. Its consistent, inexpensive with good service. Friendly staff very good paper chicken and OK egg rolls with spicy mustard. To Go the portions seem larger and keep for leftover well. The noodle dishes are always good but could use more vegetables and meat. A little oily.

My wife and I come here every month on our monthly anniversary since we married in August. They are very friendly and the service is quick. The atmosphere is calm and quiet even when crowded. The table is nicely set with a conversation piece of a placemat explaining each years animal. The food is amazing, I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken, terriyaki chicken, beef in orange sauce and the fried rice is perfect! Above all else I will say that I can no longer have egg rolls anywhere else because no where compares to their AMAZING egg rolls!!! Trust me you will love them!

I eat here a lot. Its hard to find good Chinese food in East County, but these guys have great food. My favorites are Chicken in Black Bean Sauce, Baby Bok Choy, Eggplant in Brown Sauce, and the 4 Seasons Green Beans (might be called Dry Braised Green Beans, I forget how it is translated on their menu). They also make good vegetarian dishes and noodle soups that remind me of China.Its not a fancy place at all, but the food is good, portions are generous and a good value.

Kung Pao Chicken offered only onions and chicken in heavy brown sauce, no other veggies with few peanuts. Salt and Pepper wings were just deep fried chicken. Brown rice ok and staff friendly enough for take out. But really, dont bother. We will not ever go back. D
