La Gastronomia in Grass Valley

This place hasn’t always been top-of-mind, but it will be now! We had such a nice experience and the food was excellent! The service was super friendly and fast. Our orders came out quickly. We’ll definitely be back!

What remains of two large pizzas.. From the focaccia bread and truffle salad to the actual pies.. Simply amazing. Worth the drive and dine.

Staff was so friendly and warm and very open to answering any questions we had. Came for the Tiramisu based on some other reviews recommendations and it did not disappoint…absolutely delicious! Will definitely come back to dine in and try some other things on the menu.

Pizza is the best! Small little place that you go for the food and not the simple atmosphere. Owner is very friendly and has a passion for what she does. Some of the service help isnt professional looking as you would expect while paying higher prices for enjoyable delicious food, but it is more of a Grass Valley kind of vibe I guess.

“Wow that was very Italian” says my Italian man. Oh yes. Brought back memories from Tuscany for me too. This place is real deal delicious. Not starchy boring American version of Italian, but rather fresh organic handmade flavorful loved-up Italian. I can’t believe this place is in this little town. World class yet simple homey comfort. You guys. Come eat this food. Great wine too.

Enjoyed this place when it first opened in downtown. The meats and cheeses are good. The coffee is serious coffee.New place is nice and bigger. Staff still friendly and awesome.Tried their pizza for the first time. It was soooo goid. Will definitely try their other food options.

Authentic, delicious Italian food. The pizza is the best: thin tasty, crust with authentic flavorful sauces, Im definitely going back when I miss the tastes of Italy.

Order the Jackie. (a sandwich named after me.) Fresh baked cibatta with pesto (or try the olive mousse), authentic handmade Italian meatballs and provolone cheese, served up all warm and toasty.

Got the eggplant Parmigiana panini adding pesto and zucchini and it’s honestly the best panini I have ever had. It is amazing. The tiramisu- also amazing. Caffe Shakerato - delicious. My husband’s meatball sandwich- you guessed it- amazing. They are masters here! They are still working out some of the checkout kinks but have patience, they’re really nice and the food is worth it. They also sell high quality meats and cheeses from Italy. Can’t wait to come back.

Enjoy authentic, Italian cuisine right here in Grass Valley! I highly recommend dining in, to stroll the sights of their miniature Italian streets, among fine treats like gelato, wine & prosciutto with wonderful hosts. My son even watched them prepare our specialty pizza before devouring it with gusto.
