Very pretty! Quite accessible- street parking leads to a stair case that leads right to the beach where the tide pools are.

A very cool place to visit, if you are in the area!! There was free street parking, but it was a packed place! (in the middle of January) You may have to walk a little bit to get to the water/cliffs, so just be aware of that. So incredibly cool to watch the water spray up around the rocks.
Beautiful coastal view. Not usually as busy as mission beach. Lots of fun looking in the tide pools for little creatures and always shells to pick up and collect!
It is best place for the kids.You must check LOW TIDE chart and visit the Tide pools accordingly. Otherwise High tide will cover the Tide pools.Lot of tiny crabs.sea anemones and some creatures hang out among the nooks and crannies of a rocky shore.We can witness very interesting rock formations .WATCH your footing, since the rocks can be slippery .Parking can be easily available.
I could spend hours at this spot. Its not too crowded and there are so many pools to observe. Crabs and anemones are everywhere. Its a perfect spot to bring your kiddos or just for the adults. I loved it.
Beautiful tide pools with lots of biodiversity! Arrive at low or minus tide for optimal tide pool viewing. Remember to pack out your trash, walk carefully as there is life all around, and dont pick or take any sea life. Most importantly have fun learning about our coasts biodiversity!
Lots of fun. We visited as the tide was just starting to come back in so most of the pools were exposed, but we had to watch out to avoid the waves and surf. Definitely recommend.
Cool spot to check out some sea creatures in the tide pool on our way to La Jolla cove. Lots of small sea anemones, hermit crabs, snails. Worth checking out. Parking right near ride pools wasnt hard to find during weekdays.
This is one of the most beautiful areas I have seen in my life. It has hardly changed over the past 60 years or so.
I wish I could live in this paradise. I had so much fun finding all kinds of little creatures and photographing them. It is so beautiful here and easy to want to take a million photos. It was almost impossible to find parking but we drove around and got lucky. There are showers, changing rooms and bathrooms near by. You can find vendors along the sidewalk including an ice cream truck. Bring your goggles because you will want to take a look at the life that lives in the ocean and it is easier to view at the childrens pool. I cant wait to go again!!! This is officially my favorite beach!
Tide pools are very cool, very Beautiful. Lots of picnic areas as well.Also, Beware of the Ice cream trucks ..2 ice creams cost $16(GoodHumor brand) they dont display the prices and they start up a conversation with you while youre ordering ..so pay attention 😄

I love this beach. The view is amazing and the water is clear. I usually go during the week so is not crowded and theres plenty of space to sit and have a picnic in the grass area or to sit at the beach.Love to got to the tide pools.
These tide pools are not the most biologically diverse nor the most colorful. The overall area is fairly small, and can become crowded, but its still a nice way to spend an hour or two exploring. Wear decent shoes for navigating the terrain. Parking is street side and scarce during the busy times. Picnic areas are within walking distance. The pools themselves are not too exciting, but what held my interest was the beach and how the tide pools were actually formed. The water paths that cut through what once was sand, but over many years is now like rock is pretty amazing.
It is a beautiful beach with a long shorelines with rocks all the way to the edge of water. You could do a lot of things around here such as picnics, enjoying the walks with your family or watching the waves with all curiosity. This place also was close to its downtown and a little further was UCSD. Streets were cleaned with rows of nice houses and trees. There are many things to do around this area. It was around two hours drive from Los Angeles. It was a great get away from the hectic days and stress to get a peaceful time with your loved one. Will be back again soon.
Beautiful nature walk. Go at low tide! We were able to see sea slugs, mollusks, crabs, fish, birds and a small octopus. It was slippery, so be careful as you walk. At the kids cove, the kids played, climbed and got to see quite a few seals. Kids Cove has public bathrooms and a small parking lot with 2-3 hour parking.
Very peaceful and beautiful. Saw many birds, fish, crabs. Plenty of rocks and areas of tide erosion. Colorful sea life. Breathtaking views. Be cautious and respectful of where you walk.
We love this place. Great views. Check the tide report before you go. You can get pretty far out if timed right. No matter the weather I find myself kicking my shoes off and exploring through the cover. Tons of small fish and crabs to entertain. If you head past the park you can find parking quick and walk right to the beach.
Very popular spot for a good reason! Beautiful rocks and tide pools everywhere. Great views in all directions. Lots of people Instagraming plus I saw a few wedding photographers & a model shooting photos too. Great light as the sun sets! Sand is nice and coarse..I was able to walk from the tide pools all the way to Windandsea beach.
Beautiful. I wanna put up a tent and stay. Cancel the tent idea as the police would probably take me away. Huge tourist area and parking is an issue any day of the week. These crazy roads have my head spinning.
Great fun especially after a storm at low tide. Fish, crabs, sea urchins...critters and crags to explore. Fun to people watch as well. Parking is tricky..be prepared to walk a bit. Beautiful place for a picnic and to watch the sunset.
One of the best beaches that San Diego has. It’s somehow magical to walk through these rocks that had been design by the sea itself. Definitely a place to visit if you’re around!
La Jolla Tide pools is a beautiful place to explore. All the little tide pools there is so much to look at. It’s a very clean place and great for walking around and seeing all the sea life. Perfect place to get up close to it all.
Finally found a time where low tide was in the afternoon. Beautiful day in the seventies. First time here since we moved and found street parking easily with only a little bit of walk. Took the stairs down as I had my five year old and it seemed a lot easier. A good amount of people there, especially kids, exploring. You could be by yourself and not worry about having to wear a mask, we put them on as we got around groups of people. Saw quite a few crabs and anemone. Will definitely come back at different times and at different seasons to see what we can find. Extremely slippery...my daughter wore a pair of boots that had good grip on them and still managed to fall a few times!
Right along the coast with amazing view of the ocean. Rocky surface that forms the tide pool. Be careful tho sharp edges, and rough during high tides but calm when its low tide. There is anice park near by and some people have their weddings to this location. Come and enjoy the summer breeze and watch the beautiful 🌇 sunset!
Beautiful area, lots of stair sections and trails down. Wear shoes with good grip or barefoot. Choose your footing carefully. The black and green mossy areas of rock are slick like skis. Careful to step only on the top of the rocks when you get to the pools to preserve the tiny ecosystems.Remember tide pools are best when the tide is going out or low. Check La Jolla tide chart prior to going.Water is crystal clear and cold. Lots to see!Tons of life in the pools. Variety of crabs, sea anemone, chitons and more.Great for families. Lots of young kids (3-7+) and older folks alike.We parked (for free!) on the north end, north of La Jolla cove where sea lions are and it’s a 1 mile walk one way to the pools on a sidewalk.
First thing youll want to do is check and see when the low tide will be and plan on arriving here at that time. Other than that, dress accordingly and explore! Plan on getting your feet/legs wet, even if you are exploring where the water hasnt fully come up yet. Theres lots of little sea life/plants to see in all the pockets of water and could spend some good time here just enjoying that and the views.
If you can only visit one place in San Diego, this is definitely the place to go. Its like being on another planet entirely and so many photo opportunities if you just chose to see it. Plus, its not that easy to get to so it makes it slightly more exclusive to get to the rare areas which as slippery. Always use caution, however. Overall, I loved it and would highly recommend it to a photographer or anyone looking to unwind after a long day.
A nice beach to enjoy, relax and able to see many seals and small sea creatures.There’s grassy area that is great to do Bbq and picnics. A boardwalk for walking, jogging, bikes & strollers.

Super cool place to go down at low tide when the water is out you can walk down all the way to the waters edge and walk on the rocks that are submerged by the water when its high tide 7 ft difference make sure you catch the tide on the right time and you will have a great time in the tide pools leave the Rocks there for the crabs
So much to explore and see. We visited several times on our trip and saw lots of anemones and crabs and other creatures every time. Even got to see a California Sea Hare. Pretty easy terrain to explore compared to Point Loma tide pools. Great time for our whole family!
Amazing beauty. We saw so much sea life in our weekend stay. Got to watch this place at high tide and at low tide. Saw jellyfish, crabs, and lots of sea lions among lots of sea plant life. The water was very rough due to the winds so it was pushing lots of sea life in. Worked out better for us. This place at sunset is a true marvel of our world. Its a must see. 1 downfall is the closest public restroom is a walk but all so worth it.
So cute! They have the cove blocked from the public while the pups are there. You can watch these cuties from the walkway that wraps around and from above. They have so much character! :)
Incredible tide pools with lots of sea life to observe. Please be careful! If you see black or dark green on any of the areas of rock then know that this is extremely slippery! I dont think theres anyone to sue over this so just deal with it like a normal person and laugh off the pain when you fall.
Check the tide schedule. Several times I went at high tide. Sunsets here are glorious in the fall. Sadly, the park closes at 4:30 year round. Military are free with military ID.
We had a casual walk with the kids along the beach. Beautiful sunset even in winter with cold and rainy weather. We had fun seeing the seals and exploring local shops along the way. We enjoyed the views and the scene, just relaxing and enjoyable
Beautiful view and clean water. Parking was street only where we were located and it was difficult to find a spot. We did not see any bathroom facilities where we were but that does not mean that they dont have them. We also walked down a very narrow set of stairs but there might be easier access somewhere else.
La Jolla is awesome and the tide pools are a great attraction! Little bitty ecosystems in the nooks and crannies of the tide pools. Seals make their home here too. The water is cool and refreshing. There are plenty of street vendors for great coffee or snacks.
Great spot to explore tide pools and a little cave. Just north of the pools is the snorkeling. You need to bring your own gear or rent it from a local shop. A lot of people had wetsuits but the water really isnt that cold. I think it just depends what you are use to. There is a small sand bar you can enter the water at the bottom of the stairs its the only safe place to enter that there isnt rocks. Just make sure you watch the waves and time your entrance and exit in and out of the water. My kids 10 and 12 were able to do it just fine. No lifevests but they are also great swimmers and experienced snorkelers. We saw huge orange fish and lots of other fish just 20 yards off the beach.
Awesome spot. Very cool sea life in the pools. Dont wear pants and make sure you get there before the tide comes up.
Very cool beach spot. Tons of little tidy pools and inlets everywhere. Will visit again the next time were in San Diego. Careful though - the rocks are very deceptively slippery in areas. We saw at least one pretty gnarly fall from people not being careful.
This place is crazy beautiful. I walked along the beach, looked at the tiny snail encroached tide pools, and put my feet in the water. This area is very walkable with a stunning view. The park nearby is very beautiful and great to walk through. I cant wait to come back and watch the sun set.
Beautiful beach, nice tide pools, not packed or covered in trash. Downsides are the seagulls that steal your food, light tar in certain areas and the occasional piece of trash. This is a great spot for photos, quiet picnics, exploring, etc.
Beautiful spot with lots of opportunities to find little sea creatures and wild life. Swing by and grab a lunch, sit on the beach and check out some tide pools, it makes for a wonderful day.

We went at low tide one evening and high tide the next morning. Low tide has more exploring available and plenty of tiny animals to see. High tide was beautiful from a distance. The real fun was the difference between the two.
I had such a great time at the tide pools today. We saw a sea slug, hermit crabs, fish, coral, and more. We sat on the sand and enjoyed the fresh sea air and amazing views.
Favorite place on the planet. Low tide gives you lots of fun exploring. I’ve seen amazing sea life there like crabs, anemones, hermit crabs, jelly fish and even an octopus. There’s little shells and great sand when the tide is higher. It’s generally a very clean beach minus seaweed. It’s a short walk to La Jolla Cove Pier. And just beyond that is She’ll Beach.It’s a must-see for all my friends visiting town for the young and the old. My father can walk slowly even after his hip replacement and toddlers and teens can find something entertaining to occupy their time. If you don’t enjoy sand you can stay on the sidewalks above the sand or sit on a bench by the grass.
So neat! Got there early and saw lots of crabs and other cool stuff. Could have spent a long time looking at all the cool features.
The kids love looking through the tide pools for all the different crabs and sea urchins. The views are amazing and the temperature is perfect. First visit for us and wont be the last.
Such a amazing beach ..so many shells so many spots to be able to relax ..there was volleyball 🏐 also a stripper pole loved it ..this is a nude beach so be aware but over all I had a great time the walk down is difficult and walking back up is crazy ..keep that in mind when you go to visit ..
Tide pools are always a relaxing way to start your weekend morning or visit at sunset. Locals and visitors alike cant help but enjoy the beauty along this coastline. Kids will especially enjoy searching for wildlife.
This is a really cool spot to visit if you are in the San Diego area. I went with my family and we really enjoyed exploring the many nooks and crannies of the tide pools. It is also a great place to take interesting nature photos (will be attached)
This is my favorite place to come to when I visit La Jolla. You get some epic scenery and the town is super cute too. Definitely wear the right shoes, because it can be very slippery in some spots.

Even on a cloudy day, the tide pools are a pleasant stop in La Jolla.Fishermen casting their lines, families showing their kids the rolling tides, people sitting around staring into the sea, and a distant light from where the clouds end.Its peaceful and its just nice to enjoy the silence of the mundaneness of everyday life. A nice change of pace from the active and bustling touristy noise around La Jolla cave.

Nice area residential area with limited parking and beach access. The beach area is mostly rocky with some small lifeless tidal pools. Worth it if you have parking and are in the area.

Weve set up our beach gear right above the bluff by the tide pools, walked all over, wearing our Covid mask to be safe, everybody seems to be in great spirits because of the sunshine 🌞! Had a nice Taco lunch by the ocean, bought it from Harrys Tacos at Cass St., good food, your Love of your life with you, puppies too 🤗! BTW, today is Friday, and we got super lucky and got parking space right in front of the boardwalk 👍! Wow, always come to this beach as its not as crazyas the other ones. We pick up after ourselves as we want to see this place maintained clean, litter free!!👍😊!!!
There is not a more perfect place to visit. I DONT go to San Diego without a trip to the tide pools. There are several to visit but La Jollas are far above the rest. Beautiful and a perfect place to just walk on the beach as well !!!! 5 stars and more if theyd allow me to give !!!!
Its fun hiking around and visiting the beach. If you want to see much in the tide pools you have to do at low tide. Otherwise there are not many pools just beach.

The tide pools was one of my top memories from our San Diego trip. Watch the tide charts and make youe way to the tide pools. We found so many amazing and beautiful creatures... crabs, anemones, fish, barnacles, etc. I could have stayed all day.
Wonderful place for out of towners to visit. Kids of any age can find something of interest. Walk both ways up and down the beach to see it all. Bring food and water, limited bathroom facilities.
It was fun walking on the rocks. The tide was still going out so there wasn’t much to see it the pools that were around. Have to be careful on some of the rocks, very slippery.
A really nice beach with tidal pools!!! Plenty of room as it wasnt overcrowded on weekend in April.A nice mix of family, neighborhood and tourist crowd. Very relaxed atmosphere with decent surf and the tidal pools were interesting to kids and the kids at heart alike. People were there with several dogs, so I assume it is a dog friendly beach as well, but on leash!!
My friend and I visited here at La Jolla Tidepools on January 29, 2022, to check out the unique tidepool Potholes and to catch a sunset behind the Potholes. The Potholes setting makes a unique foreground for sunsets, and it was worth the drive here!Parking can be a challenge, as it is street parking only. Best to hike down to the beach via the stairs. I also recommend wearing grippy water shoes if hiking along the rocky Tidepools, as the rocky area can get slippery. Be careful if walking along Tidepools, not to crush the sea creatures.Such a beautiful and peaceful beach!
Family had a wonderful time at the tidepools looking at the seals. Walking around looking for hermit crabs, crabs, and snails, did return them back after looking at them. Was told if you found 1 shell you really liked to keep it, but to try and allow the ecosystem to have its circle of life. Easy to spend an afternoon their.
So many little creatures in the tide pools very nice to look and explore in! Would recommend going mid day, a higher tide makes it harder to look into the tide pools
Personally the beach has too many tide pools so its not good for relaxing but its nice to walk around near the beach
I was so surprised to stumble upon beach life! There were a medium amount of visitors in December, plenty of surfers everywhere to watch. We walked from a restaurant called PokeGo and enjoyed sitting on a sandstone to eat.
Picturesque landscape with an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure. Just avoid the red tide when its rolling through. 🙂 Parking is limited, prepare for walking. Bring a camera as well!
Pretty cool. Daughter loved hunting for critters in the pools and playing in the water. Make sure you have good shoes for scrambling around on the rocks. Algae can be slippery. Well worth a visit.

Large tidepooling area for kids and adults alike to explore. Not a lot of seating if you want to just sit and take in the ocean views. Worth a stop when the tide is out.

La Jolla is one the places in Southern California that is most beautiful and tranquil if not in the entire USA.It is lovely and recommended to visit if you happen to visit this region. We are lucky and blessed to call San Diego home. 😎
I wish people would stop carving their names into the rocks but alas it’s the caveman in some of us. Other than that, the tide pools were cool albeit slightly underwhelming. We spotted crabs and fish, & of course plenty of sea gulls hunting them. Double check before you go on the low-tide time. Was very clean & serene & if you’re a curious person, is a great way to spend a bit of time.
About 30mins drive from San Diego town centre with free street parking. Great rockpool area for the whole family to explore. Lots of crabs plus fish etc. Can be a bit slippery in parts but generally OK, we wore flip flops without a problem. We saw seals in the water nearby when we visited. Not a great swimming beach but lits of surfers.

It was fun to take the kids to this beach during low tide. I cant imagine it would be as fun during high tide. We did lots of exploring in the pools, played in the sand, and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. We saw plenty if marine life, including an octopus! They are stairs to get to the beach and parking is a pain so make sure you plan ahead. But we had a great time, well be back!
The best place to watch a sunset in San Diego. The pictures dont do any justice, but in person, its beautiful.
Went in April as it was my granddaughters first trip to California. Had a wonderful time here and shopping in LaJolla.

Easy to access place with nice deep pools and shallow shelves with a fair amount of tide pool critters. Saw two giant Black Seahares when I went, tons of crabs, sculpin, etc.

If you’re in town, you must visit La Jolla! It is such a beautiful town and has a nice beach. You can climb the rocks, go to the tidal pools, surf, or see the seals at Children’s Pool. Great spot to have a picnic lunch and enjoy the nice weather.
This is a great place for all ages. Beautiful and full of new things to see just dont pick anything up animals out of the tide pools. Amazing place, just check when low tides is going to be too make your visit better.
I havent been to the beach in 2 months. Yeah! It was a Beautiful Day! Weather was great! Water was cold, but just bring there was so refreshing! People were keeping their distance and we had a great time in the sunshine, out in the open air and the nature of the ocean!

Beautiful promenade around and you could see the sea lions on the beach. There are waves so watch once you are walking on molo as you might get a good splash. Restrooms are there as well. Love this place. So nice once the weather is sunny, you could see also a plenty of guys surfing.

La Jolla is a beautiful place to go see. Parking is tough as there is only street parking. Its always busy, so make sure you plan ahead. They do have restaurants and shops as well.
We went on a cold, rainy day, but it was super cool to see all the small little ecosystems sprinkled throughout the area. It’s also really insane how close all the houses are to the shore!

AWESOME place! My fiance and I went without our kids just to feel it out we had a blast. Its super kid friendly. So we plan on taking the kids in two weeks. Definitely a must see.
We had a blast here! The way the rocks and waves break here is mesmerizing and incredible unto itself! Large cracks in the rock shelves let the waves break and flood upward, waves hitting the shelf make big splashes, it was very cool! On top of that, everything was relatively flat and felt safe for kids providing they be careful.From the tide pools we saw some tiny crabs, anemone, and a few baby California lobsters. We also found some really cool shells, which my daughter loved.Overall just a very interesting and different kind of spot. Even if youve been to other tide pools, I highly recommend it.
We found crabs, hermit crabs, anemones, and fish. My kids and husband had to be peeled away because there were so many pools and cracks to explore. I agree with the other reviews, wear either flip flops to just go barefoot, or tennis shoes with some spare socks to change into. You can google the times of the lowest part of the tide

I loved this area! Plenty of parking during the day, and pretty accessible to the tide pools. It was very neat to see the little crabs and fish in the little pools of water.
So pretty and interesting! It wasn’t too crowded for a summer Thursday with perfect weather!It is so great to be on vacation and be able to leave our bag (towels, other non-important stuff) on the beach and just take off exploring. Everything was exactly where we left it. We even found a cute little shell that was no longer occupied!

Amazing. July normally isnt tide pooling time however there was a negative tide on the fourth of July at like five in the morning. It was amazing.

This little gem I La Jolla is fascinating and beautiful at the same. Tide pools are nice and the water is clear as well as interesting geology.
Wonderful experience at La Jolla beach area. We climbed down and explored the tide pools on a low tide. The colors were vibrant. Enjoyable to search for the crabs in the pools.

While these tide pools may not boast the highest level of biological diversity or vibrant colors, they still offer a pleasant opportunity to spend an hour or two immersing yourself in exploration. The overall area is relatively small and can become crowded, but it remains an enjoyable experience. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes suitable for navigating the terrain.Finding parking can be challenging as it is limited and primarily available on the street, especially during busy times. However, there are picnic areas within walking distance, providing an opportunity to enjoy a meal amidst the surroundings. While the pools themselves may not be particularly thrilling, what captured my attention was the beach and the fascinating formation of the tide pools. Witnessing the water pathways that have gradually carved through the once-sandy terrain, transforming it into hardened rock formations, is truly remarkable.
Really fun for everyone, not a big beach area but there is some sand to setup. Best to go when tide is down, try to plan around that. Good places to eat locally and parking wasnt too bad.
Great public area to get your steps in and see some seals. Very beautiful area.

You can check out tide pools, but at the same time relax on the beach. Found a great place to hike, a sweet spot to get in the water, and saw some crabs and other sea life in the tide pools.

Great tide pools with lots of little crabs, sea anemones, snails, chitons, whelks, and different barnacles. Sometimes you can also see young opaleye fish trapped in the pools and the remains of spiny lobsters.
Beautiful piece of California coastline. Lots of nooks and crannies make for great textures in your photos or your memories. On a sunny 75 degree Dec. Day, parking was easy as well.
Great spot for a la Jolla ocean turned down for children and families. Make sure there is a lifeguard within eyesight as the Pacific ocean is no joke.. use at your own discretion

I went there before sunset with my boyfriend on New Years Day and it was beautiful as usual but it was unbelievably crowded. I’ve never seen it so crowded. Tons of people everywhere! We grew up here and know the area and went south a bit towards Hospital’s. There was parking on a side street. We got out and walked for awhile and enjoyed the sunset without all the people. It was nice. If you want to go to the La Jolla Tide Pools, you have to go on an “off” day because San Diego is much too crowded and then there’s the tourist. So plan ahead.

Not only was everything beautiful, but we saw so many different creatures! We saw starfish, crabs, fish, and even an octopus! Everything was so beautiful, but make sure you come during low tide, otherwise you will miss most of the beauty!
BEAUTIFUL, one of my favorite beach areas. Take a looks at the cute crabs, scurry away from the tide, take some time to breathe.

The tide pools and all of La Jolla is magical. We love visiting. It is expensive and touristy as far as food and crowds go, but well worth it.
An easy place to do some tidepooling (you dont have to wait for super low tides, like at Cabrillo, and its free).

Great place to go with the kids or a date. Make sure you look up the tide table to go when its low tide. Pretty interesting to see all the sea creatures that are stuck in the tide pools. I make sure to bring a towel and a jug of water to wash the sand off my feet before I get back into my car.

This area was a unique experience. Although the area where the sea lions and seal are stinks, it was neat. The tide pools were a great area to search for sea shells while the tide was low and it was really neat to look for crabs at night. The are is very pretty and the environment is well maintained. Parking wasnt a problem at all. Would definitely return in future trips!
I love taking my family here, I would recommend that if you are looking for peace and quiet, go early in the day, because of the beautiful sunset and views theres always photographers taking pictures of couples, influencers, weddings, pregnancies etc., Theres high tide in the afternoon so you might not be able to enjoy the tide pools as a lot of pictures show.

Not as many creatures as I was hoping. The rocks are pretty smoothed down so not as many crevices but also doesnt hurt as much if you fall down.

Green, grassy hills with benches overlook a smooth rock beach with amazing waves and perfect sunset! Unique beach!
This is the family favorite, even for my toddlers. The waves are gorgeous and their are a lot of cool rocks to look at.

Came here when it was dark and high tide, so I missed a lot of the fun aspects of it. But it was still a nice little spot to eat tacos from The Taco Stand by the water, and then lay on a rock and watch the stars for a while. Cant wait to see it in the daytime at low tide!

2024-02-14 06:35:32One of the coolest places on earth. Great place to explore in the tide pools, people watch, swim, watch the surfers, learn a thing or two and even spot some whales/dolphins. On a super sunny day it’s one of the most beautiful places on earth. It’s a big space, too. Plenty of areas for picnics, walking, etc. even a wedding venue! Parking is along the street so you may have to park far and walk a mile or less during peak season, we had no issues in February.

2024-03-14 17:06:45An amazing part of the California coast! It is picture perfect. Free Parking on streets all around the beach. . Easy to walk along sidewalk and or beach. Restrooms at lifeguard house. Seals are very entertaining. Very touristy place. Get there early. Then head into to town for lunch.

Theres quite a bit of street parking nearby, and there are stairs from the sidewalk to the shore. As a photographer, I love taking photos here - it always looks different based on the tide!

2023-11-14 03:23:56Beautiful tide pool area and a really beautiful place to watch the ocean waves. There are benches that line the trail that are beautiful to just sit and watch. There are a lot of things to do in the area and street parking is mostly free. Some spots are a max of 30 minutes and some spots are max of 3 hours.

Very family friendly and those with difficulties walking can still access the area without much effort from the concrete stairs.All year round, these tide pools offer pleasure no matter the season.

2024-06-27 18:58:09I dig it. Nice place to take the kids and burn a couple of hours. Not bad for shore fishing either, as it wasnt too crowded. Note the water can get choppy and theres obvious drop offs not too far into the shoreline.
