Really great food brought our whole family all 11 of us, found this place as we were heading to the Ramona pageant. The price was decent and the food was really good better than many higher end places we have tried,Service was excellent and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, I wish it was closer to our home we would eat here more often!
Came here with a party of 8. All of our food was delicious, from asada quesadilla, shrimp cocktail, street tacos, enchiladas, taquitos and as pictured steak/chicken/shrimp fajitas! Couple other things also but all was amazing and the waitress was very nice.
This place is amazing. Reyna was our server and she was super nice, friendly and food was delicious! Definitely be coming back again.
I ordered the Sopes. They were soggy. Husband ordered tacos de Carne Asada. They were bland and meat looked pale. Not going back.

Grew up in southern California my whole life, and this is the absolute best Mexican food Ive ever had. You can really taste the love and care put into the dishes, everything was so flavorful without being unnecessarily spicy. The service was always attentive but never hovering, and the place is absolutely spotless. If you have ever liked Mexican food, come try it here and you will LOVE it.

We loved our dinner at La Morenita. The food was delicious, the servers were pleasant, and the helpings were more than generous. We ordered fajitas and they were excellent. It cost more than taco shop but you get twice as much food. We had our leftovers for lunch today. A little gem.
Have never had a bad meal here. When friends come to visit, this is where we bring them to eat and they come back to eat there again. Would definitely recommend eating her fornsome real good authentic Mexican food.

OMG.. Dropped in for breakfast and it was amazing. Never been here. The food was excellent and Reyna, our server, was charming, polite, helpful... an absolutely great experience. Give La Morenita a try. Im pretty sure youll be just as pleased.

Caldo de camaron con pescado was perfect. I’ve had this soup from many other places. But here…….. clean clean clean. The shrimp was fully cleaned, no shrimp poop. The fish was perfect and the broth was delicious. To come across a place where this soup was done perfectly is a rare gem.
I dont think there is a single item that we have tried, that we havent loved.
Its a place we love to share with family and friends. Owners are awesome. 👌
AMAZING!Im sorry I cant give more than five stars...the food here is beyond delicious. The service is good, very nice staff. The food comes to your table looking like a picture and tastes incredible. My boy LOVES the street tacos and my hubby loves the shrimp. The BEST Mexican food in the valley, hands down!
La Morenita serves authentic Mexican dishes... Just like home. The service was spectacular and the food came out fast. Also, they serve beer and my michelada was made well and tasted great..I might be there every Friday trying the rest of the menu. IT IS REALLY THAT GOOD!
This place is our new favorite restaurant in Hemet. We went in this afternoon and Reina was our server, she was awesome, attentive and sweet. Everything we have tried has been excellent so far.
Nice cozy place. Went here because of the reviews and got a to go order. Got the shrimp tacos and shrimp cocktail. A bit more pricey than I was expecting but when I tried the food it was really delicious and well worth it. Very friendly service too. My new favorite Mexican/mariscos spot in Hemet. Will definitely be going often.

The staff is great, wonderful waitress/cashier that helped us was cheery and all smiles.Ambiance is great; I initially choose this spot due to the outside patio which is full roofed and sun protected; trying to hold to the covid protocols until at least this next variant is out of the way.Good little mom and pop spot; we took our food to go; which consisted of a carne asada burrito and chicken fajita plate meal.The burrito was good and the salsa verde went well with it.The chicken fajita torts tasted freshly made.Walked out at about $38
Excellent locale for lunch. Service was friendly and fast. The place is really clean and pleasant. I had the chile verde, huge portion and good quality. The corn tortillas could be upgraded. But honestly, most Mexican places do not serve good corn tortillas. Regardless, this will be a go to for me when Im in Hemet for lunch.
Just moved to Hemet. Im from Tijuana and SD and this place is the best Mexican spot i e been to. salsa needs some help. it pozole was 8/10 carnitas 8/10 carne asada 8/10. most other places do one thing well but this was all around great! glad i found it.
Salsa was super delicious. It was our first time here. Food was alright. Customer service could use some improvement. I dont think Ill be coming back. It wasnt our worst experience, but not good as well.
Slow place, tries to blame other restaurants and vendors for less business... idk maybe dont charge $18 for a torta with overcooked hard meat with huge wait times. You complain about food vendors when you just cant keep up. Sad to force city council to interfere bc you have mediocre food and you want to mess with other restaurants and vendors. Look up the article. Advertise more, make tastier food, compete with the others. Will never come here again simply bc instead of realizing they need to fix things with the restaurant. They choose to come and attack those in the community who have the same goal. There is enough for everyone, take accountability.
Carne Asada was Good!! Basic Meat, Avocado and Pico. No beans and rice filler. Hard to find Good Carne Asada in Hemet, Why??? In San Diego, every BERTOS IS HITTIN. This place is close. Try them out, and tell them how You want It. The Chef will Hook You Up..
First time here with the family .. let me say it was delicious ! It’s a little spot but the waitress made us feel very welcomed she was very lovely and polite and very helpful . Definitely has the home made Mexican sting to the food . They also played las mañanitas for me and my sister and got a little flan cake it was so nice ! I will definitely be back again and will continue to support this restaurant, I can’t believe it’s so close to my home and I would always drive by . If y’all drive by it definitely stop by and get some food 👍🏻 The cooks are pretty fast! And got that amazing touch to the food !Thank you La Morenita !

This is my favorite Mexican food in hemet.Kind of a hidden gem.The agua chilis are my favorite in town. Also the sopes are always on point!Just had the California burrito and it is definitely one of the best in town.Customer service is very good. They are always kind and working hard.I would recommend this place to anyone in town or out of town!
Wife had the molcajete and she liked it. I had the shrimp and fish taco. Good spot if you wanna be low key. Nothing fancy, but food was good and waitresses were friendly.
My boyfriend and I happened to come across this cute and authentic place trying to find a spot thats dine-in for a late lunch date. The service from Sandy was wonderful, shes so sweet! The fajitas and fish tacos were plentiful, absolutely delicious and affordable. Everything is homemade including the refried beans, a huge plus! We definitely recommend!
I really like this place, its small, but very friendly and cozy and clean, the food is very good and plenty of it, the waitress is very nice and very knowledgeable about all the entrees in the menu she made them sound so delicious we had a hard time just making that decision on what to order, will definitely go there again

This hidden gem in Hemet was fantastic. The food was great and customer service was on point. I had the shrimp empanizados which was really good, even the rice and beans. My hubby had a shrimp coctel and tostada mixta cocido with camaron and pulpo, he loved it. My hubby even did a shutout to the chef saying it was “chingon” lol

My son got red enchiladas w/queso and my daughter got red chilaquiles, I got a Chile relleno with a green chicken enchilada. The food was served so beautifully and it taste as good as it looked! The first Mexican restaurant in Hemet that actually makes you feel like your eating a home cooked meal! So much flavor! Can’t wait to go back for dinner and try other dishes!! Definitely coming back 😊 also the customer service was great! Ladies were attentive and very sweet. ❤️

Their salsas just enhance the flavor and the chips are just as amazing. As a family we have tried the chicken burritos, carne tacos and fries along with the menudo....excellent. You will not be disappointed!!!

2023-09-27 02:40:03I personally had the Menudo to which I never order out because of restaurants lack of freshness and attention to detail. The service was excellent too bad I didnt get the young ladys name but she helped us out incredibly well. Food was very clean if you know mexican restaurants they dont really pay attention to the esthetics of the food being served to you. Menudo was cutt into good sizes as to fit well into your mouth and enjoyed. I chose the chips instead of tortillas which was a great choice. My wife had enchilada de pollo with the green sauce. Tasty! Buy one get one free beer..cant beat that. Must of been a special so I may ask about this next time I go in. But we say outside in the small patio and it was pleasant. Bring a small fly deterrent because they may be a nuisances. I will go back for sure to try many more dishes. Thanks again to the young lady who assisted us in our enjoyment of good food. Well be back !
