LOTS of vegan options! A fridge full of vegan meats, korean bbq, buffalo wings, ect.A lot of produce is already packaged in plastic which is a con for trying to reduce plastic use as much as possible.

This is where we get our Banh mi sandwich in North County.Its so yummilicious!#2, no jalapenos, please...And if you go early, they make the fried round donuts, rolled in sesame seeds, with a sugar filling! OMG!

I so much wanted to like this place. A welcomed resource in the area. But what a failure. They don’t even carry mentaiko and tarako, Alaskan pollock roe, typically found frozen in Japanese and Korean markets. When asked customer service, they responded, oh we we don’t carry Japanese foodstuffs. Well, you carry Japanese udon! Certainly not an authentic or genuine, nor well stocked store.

The grocery store is average and the prices are higher than stores like Hmart. I generally only go here if I need something very urgently, but the neighboring Vietnamese restaurant is quaint. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Awesome little Asian market in Escondido. They have a great selection for how small of a store they are compared to the bigger Asian markets like hmart & 99ranch. I love being able to get random ingredients I need for my various Asian dishes close to home when Ive forgotten something! The staff is always super helpful and sweet.

Great find. I usually go to marukai on convoy for Asian products that are hard to find. Luckily this is in Escondido where I live. Very friendly attendant. I was looking for jack fruit and they sell it super cheap. The lady it one in half for me and it only cost $5.63 at .77¢ lb....... sprouts sells them occasionally for $67 which is outrageous. Everything in store is very reasonably priced so I will definitely be coming here more often. Definitely come down to this place, they even sell prepared food to go.

Im so mad at their food quality and customer service right now. Ive been a regular there and one time I bought a pork belly but when a got home I found green mold in it but its late I couldnt come back to return right away. So I took a picture (with date in it) and come back a few days later for I was busy working late the next days. When I came back to shop and return with proof that it had already been bad when I bought it, instead of taking their fault for selling bad meat, they yelled at me for mot coming to return sooner and told me not to shop there again. Im so shocked with their behavior and customer service. He could have nicely told me to come sooner or call the next time. I said I was okay to take store credit for I was still planning to shop there again. But the manager just went to tell me straight that he didnt need this kind of customer and dont shop here again. I was speechless!!!

This Asian market has most everything for daily food and preparation, especially Asian avid eaters.The only draw back is the price is a bit higher than concentrated Asian resided areas.Secondly, the less popular food is hit and miss, i have to call in to check for its availability.Otherwise, i treat this as ăn Asian convenient store...

Not the biggest shop but the place is packed to the brim with all kinds of asian and mexican grocery staples.Fermented kimchi, cuts of meat (organ, tongue, beef, etc), shrimp, octopus, soy milk, rice paper, soup bases, snacks, produce, a TON of different noodles from vermicelli to udon, chili and sesame oil, all flavors of samyang ramen, a variety of rice, cream cake rolls, and a ton of other stuff. They even have basics like birthday candles, shampoo, asian beauty care items, tea (including diet teas).I bought a milk tea boba drink, jajangmyeon (black bean) flavor samyang ramen, banana flavored icecream, instant chocolate milk boba, 2 different kinds of cream cake rolls, pocky, and a peach flavored drink. Everything was great, seemed very fresh!I recommend the Melona banana ice cream, canned boba tea, and any of their drinks really. Ill definitely be coming back to try out more of their snacks and drinks!

The place is well stocked up with products the only problem I encountered is the staff that are working there they have no knowledge of the product theyre selling and thats not helpful for someone like me I hope next time there will be somebody there that can answer some of those questions about the products thats the only problem that I encountered this time but if you are aging and you know what youre looking for then its a good place to try it out

I’ve shopped here multiple times and it has become my go to for all of my favorite Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine ingredients. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The store also has quite an extensive vegan “meat” selection to include vegan “jerky”.

Love this market, they carry allot of items from all over Asia, Mexico & others.Lots of the freshest vegetables and the prices are so reasonable then the big marketsin San Diego. We used to make a long list to go to San Diego, now we just drop by here anytime sinceits local and dont have to fight the traffic plus the prices are better.The place is clean too, thats a big plus the customer service is the best, the owneralways go out of his way to help you find anything and hes 100% successful!Love, love this place mostly due to the great customer service!!!

One item I wish they stocked would be Shokupan bread. I have to go down to San Diego to get good Shokupan, would be nice to get it locally instead. But good little market with the staples.

I like coming to this Asian market located in Escondido because they have all the essentials: veggies/herbs, seafood, meats and poultry. Not only that, but the price is very reasonable and the store is SUPER clean/organized. The plaza is located next to TJ tacos, and I would recommend coming here first before driving all the way to San Diego for something you can easily get here.

Looking for an Asian market that could fill in the gaps between monthly trips to HMart, which is 30+ minutes from home, we stopped by here in search of mostly fresh produce and meat for Korean cooking.Its a small to medium place, absolutely tiny compared to the full-size supermarkets we have become used to, but that wasnt much of a surprise. Their frozen and fresh meat/seafood selection wasnt too bad at all, and produce was a solid B-. They even had an aisle for housewares, plenty of snacks, and a cute eatery (we didnt try it).The selection was obviously going to be limited, but I managed to find most of what I needed. The biggest downside was that I dont think there is a single organic item in the entire place, and we try to eat organic whenever possible. Also, our total bill was quite high for the two small bags we brought home. Not a bad spot, but not a fit for our usual needs.

Found this little Asian market while trying to find down some Thai chillies. Most of the staff was Hispanic and had no clue what I was talking about even after showing them a picture. One of the employees grabbed the owner that explained to me that they were in high demand and they only had them frozen. He showed me to their location and was very accommodating. Overall it was great customer service.

Overall a very respectable selection with prices comparable to what you would find in Clairemont. Items are heavily geared towards Vietnamese cuisine, but if you dont mind specified brands there are plenty of Filipino, Thai, Chinese and Japanese exports to satisfy pretty much any menu. Meat and produce is very fresh and there is a large array of frozen seafood. Great place to get pork belly and pork hock bones in particular.

Lots of Asian staple items including veggies that would only be available here. The market is small but it packs an powerful punch with neatly lined shelves of sauces, spices, canned goods, noodles and treats. Fresh meat counter. Fresh baked French bread to take home. Never had to wait in line to check out from this small market. Ample parking in its lot. Great to have an Asian market locally when San Diego or the OC is too inconvenient on short notice.

This place deserves 5 stars for what it represents: Having a nice place to get most of your Asian based needs without having to drive to 99 Ranch.That being said, its not 99 Ranch. I was going to give the store a 4 because its not as epic as 99 Ranch. Its meat department is... quaint. A fair bit of their meat department is focused on culturally Latino meat seasonings and cuts. Their produce department was also a little small.A good selection of frozen fish, duck, fish balls and all sorts of Asian delights. Also, a decent selection of noodles, wraps, beverages, sauces, spices, and oils for a store of its size.If it means anything to you, and it should, I see many Asians coming here to shop.

The Asian Market is a wonderful addition to Escondido.Normally, we have to drive down to Kearny Mesa to get our hard to find Asian goods. The Asian Market in Escondido had all kinds of stuff we like to buy. You can find Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian amongst the foods here.There was also a little restaurant next door to get freshly prepared food.
