This was our favorite place to eat breakfast, we came all the way from big bear to eat here regularly. Until today when I had my husband pick up a quart of the bean soup that not to mention is served to EVERYONE who walks in the restaurant. Mind you i was looking forward to eating this all day. Only to have a cockroach 🪳 floating right on top…… I honestly loved this place but after this I will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN! Extremely disappointed and thoroughly disgusted…

Greeted and welcomed right away. You order at the front cashier and pay. You can also sit down and eat or take out. They have a serve yourself salsa bar, and I think also a serve yourself chip bar because I saw plates but no chips. Restrooms, floors, and tables were clean. Customer service and courtesy were good. I ordered the albondiga soup, which had delicious tomatoe and a bit spice taste. My daughter had the chicken flautas, the chicken was a bit dry, daughter was not asked if shed like sour cream. Rice and beans were great. Atmosphere was playing my favorite tunes, atmosphere was comfy but floor could use a bit of remodeling. Prices were awesome!

I have been eating here for years. I LOVE THIS PLACE! The food is absolutely delicious 😋 the service is always great, if anybody has a complaint then theyre LOCO, Ive been coming here since they opened and not once have I ever seen any critters anywhere, that customer must have brought it with her. Might not go in there again. There is a person smelling very bad who does not shower and wondering all over touching the salad bar at least two times that I was there eating for only half hour. Could not stand the smell and I left others where just looking worried too

Had breakfast here while staying in the area. I had the chilaquiles & my boyfriend their menudo. DELICIOUS! The employees were kind, attentive, & had a smile on their face the whole time. Service was also very quick.

Great tacos, I had al pastor, chorizo, carne/pollo asada... all great meats. My wife ordered the tortilla soup and it was perfect, tons of veggies including chayote! Delicious casera salsas a.d pickled onions. Coming back for sure. Staff are very friendly and welcoming despite me being an out-of-place looking white dude and my Japanese wife. Its small, so dont know about large groups, but takeout for sure!

This place was wonderful they were very polite, very clean, lots of sanitizer everywhere, quick service and my favorite is the mask covering was a clear mouth window mask, so that people could see her mouth.. but yet her mouth was still covered which is great for people who are hearing impaired and deaf. The food was AWESOME, I got a wet breakfast burito...it was seasoned and very flavorful...I will definitely recommend and I will be returning.

La Tapatía has huge burritos! On my first trip here I ordered a custom breakfast burrito with has brown cheese egg and rice and beans only. I added their red sauce to it and it was so good! The red sauce was thick and spicy, a little bit went a long way for me. I think they do something to their rice because it tastes so good in the burrito. I also got an agua fresca that paired perfectly with my food. I would recommend ordering over the phone ahead of time. Gracias!

My favorite hangover burrito! Been coming here for years and always amazing. My favorite item is the El Diabla burrito, my second favorite the enchilada and Chile relleno combo platter, I always pay extra to get the chicken mole enchiladas with that!! So amazing!!! 🥲(The only negative I would say is sometimes they skimp on the avocado 🥑, supposed to come with 3 pieces, but I keep only getting 2 or 1 sometimes 😣)

This place has quote possibly the best salsa that I have ever eaten in my life. My friend and I were looking for some tacos to kill our hunger on the drove home after a day of snowboarding. The reviews led us to thos spot, and wow, the salsa blewy mind! I dumped it on everything I ate and then bought a pint to take home. Ill be back for more soon!

Mexican restaurant you expect this as a given no not here.. anyways we ordered two menudos one small one large also from the kids menu at burrito with french fries.. my son was given an award 😁 so proud of my boy! I have been a loyal customer for the past 2 years. I came here almost every weekend for Menudo food was always good. Lately the food is terrible my menudo has been cold and not properly served. The meat for the tacos seems to be old because it has a dry chewy texture. They are also stingy with condiments that go with the menudo. They give you two cold tortillas, 1/4 of a lemon, and tiny amount of onion. Normally I have to keep asking for extra. I suggest the owner to stop being stingy and stop charging so much for horrible food. I forgot to mention each tiny taco is almost 3 dollars.

I have never had all great things to say about a restaurant but I have definitely found one. Service was fantastic. Everything we asked for was right away. They gave us samples to try out and everything was delicious. I had the chili verde and everything tasted freshly made. We tasted the salsas on hand and they had great flavor to elevate the food even more. We asked for diabla sauce and the cook made a fresh batch for us to try. Next time I will order the shrimp a la diabla. Even the fountain drinks are better than than fast food chain fountain drinks. This restaurant definitely has people who care from the cooks to the servers. Keep up the great work

The food was good, and super got when it arrived, which was fairly quickly. The portions were good, and the rice and beans were decent. However, I ordered the chile verde burrito, and it came smothered in black pepper. The pork was lean, and the sauce had a good flavour. Had they cut back on the pepper, it would have been very tasty. But as it was, it was just overpowering. The enchiladas were pretty good, and the plate was good sized. Overall it was ok, but probably wont be back.

Are you for good Tortas? The La Tapatia Mexican Grill has one the best tortas in the IE. The bread is soft and delicious. Their most popular torta is the Carnitas. However, they have Carne Asada. Another great option is the Mole Rojo Enchiladas, or the Chile Verde Plate. The Tapatía Mexican Grill feels very proud of their Chile Verde. Go check them out. Good Service, Good People. Staff was polite and friendly. I had never heard of serving a breakfast burrito wet so that was a surprise. Be aware that if you want a traditional burrito you must ask for it that way. The food was ok, but not worth dropping $8 (before adding avocado) for one breakfast burrito. The salsa bar needed to be refilled and was a little messy, but when I asked about it they addressed that. I might give them another try, but only if Im nearby. There are too many better options that are more affordable.

Recently went with my mom and sisters to eat because my mother has been out of the country for nearly a month and really wanted to eat good Mexican food. We order and everything is fine until we receive our food and my mother notices that her order is wrong and if they could fix it. The older gentleman who was dressed in all black that was also servicing us snatched my moms plate right from in front of her in a very aggressive manner and takes it to the window that divides the cashiers and cooks. He asks the cooks if the order is wrong they say it isnt and basically tell my mom that she is wrong. My mother knowing that that food isnt what she ordered nor what she wanted reexplained that it was infact wrong at this point the older gentleman seems annoyed and demands to see a receipt from my mom. My mom although sometimes can be ditzy is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and the way that this man was treating her was unacceptable to me and my sisters. They finally fix the order because again they got it wrong, after it was all settled and we started to eat the whole atmosphere in the restaurant change and the staff became distant and uninvolved with us almost as if they wanted us to hurry up and leave. We were all very uncomfortable and felt unwanted during our entire meal. As soon as we finished we hurried up and left because if they dont want us there then fine well leave. All we wanted to do was celebrate my mom coming back home, but all we got was the cold shoulder and a very uncomfortable time.Dont get me wrong the food was good, but its not worth the very rude customer service.

My dad I wanted to get a side of beans and let me say dang those were some good beans we also saw that they had some family combos for 20 bucks which is really good and today we got one of the combos which was the #3 family combo it comes with 1 asada fries, 4 bean and cheese burritos, and 4 sodas . I love La Tapatia! The owner is such a nice guy! His whole family is so nice and friendly they are doing an amazing job! Some of the best home made Mexican food in California! So fresh and awesome definitely worth it. 2 locations in the city of Fontana and 1 in the city of Upland. This specific location is on Tamarind and Arrow. 2nd is on cherry and baseline, 3rd in upland is on foothill and Euclid! I recommend everything! From the wet bean and cheese burrito, to the chicken flautas, wet chile verde burrito amazing as well! Chimichangas are so good!! I can go on and on about this amazing menu. Came in today with my family of 6 on a busy day and when there wasnt any available tables except outside, which we were fine with if there wasnt other tables open, but while we were waiting in line, we noticed that 2 tables were being cleaned. We decided to take those 2 tables since all 6 of us couldnt fit into one booth. While waiting for the tables to be cleaned, they never mentioned to us that we couldnt sit there. However, when we sat down, 2 workers came up to us and told us that one of the tables were reserved by a woman that came in way after we did. The first time I came here was great I had company so I really enjoyed myself. I will say when I did go in that day I ordered to Waters to go one horchata and one tropical punch. But they gave me two horchatas. I didnt notice till I had got to my location. Next time I came and I mentioned it. They didnt seem to care or want to compensate for their error. I will say that the hard tacos are not deep fried. They are crunchy and they really hold well overnight in the refrigerator and are still crunching the next day. I was very surprised about that. I did like their chicken versus the beef. I also enjoyed that they had champurrado. The second time I came and they didnt have any champurrado and I was really upset nor did they have any tropical punch. So I wasnt that please second time around. Went here on a weekend with my boyfriend because I was craving Mexican food. Not in the best part of the city because its near South Fontana, but dont let that stop you from this place because it has some good, cheap, delicious food! The service, friendly staff, and salsa bar make this place a solid 4.If you go, try some different options. They do a great job, and I think it’s just a matter of finding what you like best. The meats are cooked well. The tortillas are delicious. The vibe is relaxed and also construes a feeling of caring about the food.

I live by the Taptia thats on Baseline and Cherry and I love this place, Ive been waiting for a Mexican restaurant that its close to me yes Im close to Miguels Jr. but I would like to order a burrito and find meat inside unlike like Miguels JR where the burrito has more rice and beans and with only three pcs of chicken at Tapatias the burrito is full of meat and you can get it dry or wet with the red sauce, the restaurant is very clean the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We have ordered different items from the menu but my favorite is the grilled chicken nachos and the passion fruit aqua Fresca. You can order ahead by phone or walk in they will not disappoint.

My brother got sick off a green shrimp burrito and I caught food poisoning within 5 minutes of eating my endiablada shrimp burrito, Ive never gotten sick off eating out. I immediately felt nauseated and I turned pale and had to have my wife drive before I could even make it to my car before I started throwing up.
