2023-10-15 02:20:44The food was amazing especially the truffle Mac and cheese, if there was only that with a melted layer of gruyere I would have been happy. The Wellington was made as requested and the puff pastry was buttery, flaky, basically just right. Of course we ended with NY cheesecake which was rich, baked cheese cake, not too sweet, the fresh berries gave all the sweetness needed. Left fully sasiated.

We always go to Maurizios but want to try something with more variety.We had the calamari, Brussel sprouts, Cajun seafood, Chilean sea Bass, diver scallops, banana coconut cake, cheesecake, red velvet.The Sea Bass, mashed potatoes and risotto, banana coconut cake and cheesecake were outstanding.Scallops had an odd after taste and not a uniform size, I have had much better, but they were good, not at all inedible. Red velvet cake was too much frosting not enough cake. My husband didnt share the Cajun dish so I am unsure... calamari is hard to mess up, I wish there was another sauce option than marinara, brussel sprouts were good, just leave of the sweet sauce.I have never ordered Sea Bass and it was delicious, tender, juicy, wonderful flavor with the mashed potatoes! The start of desserts was the banana coconut cake with Carmel sauce as well as the cheesecake, well worth the added sugar!!!The server was nice, just young, and how our meal was before we took a bite.I will definitely go back for another special occasion, very nice ambiance..

2023-10-21 00:58:47Ladera is a fine steak house and weve enjoyed all the meals weve had here. The service is fantastic, the drinks are top-notch and the steaks are prime cuts at reasonable prices (given the cost of beef these days). Their temps are typically spot-on, so no complaints on most dishes... except one, the Beef Wellington.Now, its my fault and not theirs, which is why they still get five stars. Their dish just doesnt do a true Wellington justice, since the portion of Filet Mignon is too small, the duxelles are replaced with some type of tiny, whole mushrooms and the Prosciutto di Parma is entirely missing, along with the pâté. Both are replaced by sauteed spinach.They clearly state on the menu that its a six ounce filet, which is not thick enough to wrap properly in puff pastry and therefore, cannot be served in slices. They also indicate theres sauteed mushrooms and spinach, with no mention of duxelles, pâté or prosciutto. So, I knew what I was getting into and they delivered exactly what they promised... I was just hoping it could stand against a traditional Wellington. It cant.We will definitely be back again and again, Ill just stick to the Ribeye. I hope others benefit from my mistake. Besides their choice to put this Wellington on the menu, its a five-star restaurant by every measure.

2023-04-17 02:56:01Great place the food is really nice and well served. Served with warm bread and butter on house. Ordered seafood linguine was outstanding. The lamb chops were good as well. One complaint though it was apparently under staffed that you had to wait a while for everything.

2023-09-02 03:32:20Nice atmosphere but it ends there. We started with the calamari which was good. Then ordered the pork chop and seafood pasta as entrees. The pork chop had a great flavor but was incredibly dry and tough. The seafood pasta was very creamy, but in all fairness was described that way on the menus. My issue was they served clams that were unopened and inedible and they didn’t bother to bring a plate for shells. The entire meal fell short of expectations. There are many restaurants doing things right to have a meal that is just OK.

2022-07-02 04:35:20After we arrived on time, we were seated and provided with menus. We then spent 26 minutes waiting for service. Patrons who came in after us were attended to before we were finally acknowledged. We addressed this with the server, Alfredo, who checked in with us. . He was apologetic and attentive. The caprese salad was perfect. My scallops were slightly over-cooked, but overall, the dish was delicious. The sea bass was very nice. Alfredo saved the day. We were 4 minutes away from leaving and posting a 1-star review.

2023-02-05 19:56:35Optics are strong here. The place looks like it would be really good and the menu looks fancy. Unfortunately, it underwhelms.The food averages out to be … average. The ahi tuna was exceptional but the filet mignon was like it was cooking in a microwave. The calamari appetizer is nice but the sauce it comes with it like watered down marinara… we asked for cocktail sauce and it was a significant upgrade. The fries are extra crispy, with the inside dried out.The problem with all this is, the price tag is too high! I would skip it and try another restaurant instead. Willard Hicks is across the street….

2023-11-20 06:21:48I went there Sunday around 4:00 o’ clock with two of my friends. My friends ordered two burgers which were cooked very dry, and my lamb chop was not done the way I ordered it. I ordered mine medium rare which was cooked well done, I sent it back and ordered. Rare for the second time which was hardly cooked with uncooked fat. The waitress was very gracious, in both times. As pricy as the menu was, I expected a much better food.
