Authentic and delicious food, great service from the staff specially Abu who took the time to explain certain items on the menu and helped us with some great recommendations. this is one of the best Indian restaurants I tried around the area. prices are reasonable and worth it

The amazing food and great service still hasnt changed. Today Abu helped me and he was great, very attentive and offered some new food I had yet to try.I always come mid day because around dinner time theyre crazy busy but the service never changes.Ive been coming here for a little over 4 years now and have taken many friends here that havent tried indian food or dont like it and they always end up leaving with a different mind set.Today I started with a soup and got Aloo Ghobi, chicken tikka masala, sagh paneer, garlic naan, and rice. All extra hot, the colors deep with all the spices washed down with a cool mango Lassi.The food came out timely and Abu checked on me often.I will continue to come back again and again.

Been coming here for years, absolutely delicious food and wonderful staff!! Finally time to write a review.Always the fastest and over the top friendly service. Abu was so helpful in picking out what we were in the mood for.We got the Chicken Makhni, a side of rice, mango lassi, papadam, and veggie samosas. More than enough for two people. My husband usually gets the Lamb Biryani as well and my other favorites are the classic Chicken Tikka Masala and Veggie Korma. Perfect combo of sweet and spicy.They also do FAST takeout! One of my favorite reliable spots. Never change!! I hope to come here for many years

The last time I came here was over a year ago. Back then, the food was great, but the service was inconsistent and poor and the food took over half an hour to come out. Decided to give it another shot yesterday, and wow, what a turnaround! I dont know if they are under new management or what, but its a whole different experience. First, the service is incredible; the staff was very attentive and warm. Second, the food came out in a reasonably quick manner, plus we got our appetizer early so we werent starving and hangry. And lastly, our waiter Abu really took care of us, and treated my son and I to a memorable meal.The food is still awesome. You can taste the homemade love! We got the mango lassi, vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, saag paneer, Tandoori chicken, and rice pudding dessert. The food was 5/5, but our absolute favorites were the chicken tikka masala and the Tandoori chicken. The samosas were perfectly crispy and not soggy in the middle. There was a good depth of flavor in the tikka masala, and it wasnt too sweet. The chicken korma is the only one I wouldnt necessarily get again (just because the menu is so large and varied that there are so many other things I want to try first). (The tikka Masala I would probably order every single visit). The tandoori chicken was well flavored and juicy, with generous portions, and i loved the Char taste on it. And the mango lassi was so yummy, it tasted like real mango, not artificial.The food all came out at once (great presentation) at a perfect temperature, with generous portions. The basmati rice and the garlic naan were also excellent. And again, Abu made our dining experience great. We are definitely coming back!

Had an amazing dinner there with a friend who recommended it!As soon as we walked in, Abu was kind, attentive, and offered us so many good recs to try. We started with the Vegetarian Samosas and Mango Lassi. The Vegetarian Samosas were so round and fluffy, they tasted super delicious on their own and even better dipped in the paired sauces. The Mango Lassi was my fave since I love Mango and Yogurt Smoothies! Full of flavor and soothing to sip.For entree, I got the Saag Paneer(Vegetarian) with the Parmesan Naan Bread which I’m still thinking about. I would be willing drive the 405 at 5pm on a weekday just to get my hands on that Parmesan Naan again(SO GOOD!) I was so full and skipped on dessert which was a bummer as they had some interesting dessert options.Overall, I recommend trying this place! The atmosphere/vibe is small-med cozy restaurant with window booths and square tables. The parking in the back is near to none so you’re most likely better off finding parking on the street so you can avoid trying to get into their small parking lot(it’s super hard to get out and you’re forced to reverse into a street with constant traffic.) This restaurant is WORTH the small parking inconvenience.

This was my first time at Lal Mirch...it will NOT be my last. The food was great and my server Abu was very attentive and everyone made sure I did not need anything else.I ordered the Chicken Jalfrezi, Naan and rice. It was delicious! It was not to much food and even though I like spicy foods, my dish was mild but extremely flavorful! Abu made sure I had some of their Rice Pudding as well. It was very good. Abu also suggested the Mango Lassi, which is a mango-flavored yogurt drink. It was delicious!Thank you for a great dining experience, Abu!Lal Mirch is on my favorite place list in Los Angeles.

My fiancé and I love Indian food and also have been looking for a spot near home. First time here and this is the place! We had the chicken tikka masala and the chicken korma with cheese and a garlic Naan! They did not disappoint! Their hospitality is on point too! This place is such a delight and a beautiful delicious Gem. All of the dishes that we ordered were amazing. We had the Shrimp Vindaloo, Tikka Masala and the Chicken Makhani (recommended by the waiter Abu). All three dishes were so flavorful and mouthwatering, the waiters recommendation was a hit with all of us. It was an explosion of deliciousness. We added the Vegetable Biryani and it couldnt complement the dishes more than what they were. The Garlic Naan was the cherry on top. So fresh, warm and crisp just to the perfect touch. Abu was an amazing waiter. Answered all of our questions about the dishes, delicious recommendations, very knowledgeable about the restaurants food and a super kind person. Hands down thee best Indian Restaurant in the Valley.

Nothing to deduct. The samosa was perfectly crispy and flaky on the outside and smooth on the inside. Chicken tikka masala and lamb curry flavors were on the dot in spices. Naan fluffy and crispy at the same time. Abu hosted us like we were family and was very kind/professional. Atmosphere is very clean and appealing, no visible mold or obnoxious sounds or smells. If were back in town were definitely coming back here for a meal.

A bit of a wait but totally worth it. Loved the vegetable curry and jeera rice. The garlic naan was on point!! We had been received by the owner, super friendly guy. I visited this place based on the high review rating. Customer service was amazing, but my food was underwhelming. I was hoping for more flavor and spices. In addition, I paid $17 for a vegan entree, and that didnt include any rice or bread. Pretty high, but then again, this place is located in Studio City where everyone drives a Porche haha.

Absolute gem. Was recommended by the hotel’s receptionist but we were initially hesitant (wife’s of Indian descent, so we regularly eat top notch homemade Indian food and are a bit wary of curry houses) but totally shouldn’t have. On og my favorite Indian AUTHENTIC restaurants. Service was great and friendly. It feels like visiting family. The food also feels very homemade but with a twist of restaurant style. Even if you have to try delivery or take out, I recommend but dine in at least once to experience this gem.

The food was amazing. All the dishes had great taste, it smelled wonderful! I don’t recall the names of the dish but the manager provided great recommendations since it was our first time there. The sauces for the curry were the best. This is not going to be the last time you see me here. The customer service was top-notch. My husband and I came in here from a recommendation from a local, and not only were we not disappointed, we were blown away! Food quality and flavors were exceptional, and the service from Abu, Ali, and Moose were excellent. When we showed up on a random Tuesday at 8PM and the place was vibrant, we knew it had to be good.We ordered the house dinner for two, which came with a generous portion of chicken tandoori, chicken tikka masala, a spinach & potato dish, basmati rice, naan, along with a vegetable soup to start and rice pudding to end the meal. That was plenty for two to eat, but we also ordered a very spicy lamb dish and another order of garlic naan. Everything was tasty, well presented, and seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively but not overwhelming, and comfortable enough to be a regular dinner outing. Colorful murals on the wall and nice lanterns help set the mood with the Indian music playing through the dining room, giving it a festive but casual feel.We are only in town for a few days, but we already have made plans to come back before we leave, thats how amazing it was! No photos because we were too excited to scarf everything down before we could even think about a photo!

Been a staple for Curry and Indian food for the past few years!It can be a bit difficult to find but once you see it, you cant miss it.I usually go here for lunch as their lunch specials are amazing!Cozy place to dine alone or with a group of friends. The staff is friendly and attentive.You can ask for different spicy levels depending on the plate you order and their naan is always freshly baked!Parking lot is tiny so you have to park on the street which is metered but definitely worth going to.I usually get their Chicken Korma! Soooo delicious!

We ate here for the first time on 8-1-23. The food was wonderful and reminiscent of the quality of Indian food I am accustomed to getting when in London which seems to be more robust in flavors than what is typically served here in the States . The staff are super friendly and attentive . They will adjust the heat level of any dish to your preference. They also offer what they call a Lava heat level which I am told is 3 times hotter than the standard spicy Vindaloo. Dined at 6:30 on a weeknight to a nearly empty restaurant which 15 minutes later began filling up quickly .

I have eaten at Lal Mirch both times visiting LA (I am not from the area) and it was amazing each time. The service is impeccable and the food is even better! The staff are so good about recommending the best dishes, they are quick and attentive to each table, and they make sure you are being treated well. The food is fresh, tastes very authentic Indian, and has amazing flavor. The spice levels are just right, not too hot and not bland. We love the chicken tikka, the fire chicken, the butter chicken (which is made in a more Indian-style than other places), and the daal is delicious. Also really enjoyed their biryani. Would highly recommend Lal Mirch, whether you are from the area or are visiting LA and in search of some can’t-be-beat Indian food!

Relaxing atmosphere, very friendly and good service. My daughter took me here and I expected very spicy food. I was pleased to find a wide variety of food and spices all excellent and you can decide how spicy you want it Very reasonable prices. Good ambience and welcoming staff. We went there with least expectation, but the food surprised us. It was definitely good than what we expected. The person who took order helped us choose the items from menu. It roughly took 20 mins to serve the food after taking order. The only drawback is there parking because, the parking lot is too small and we have to park in the streets.

I ordered dinner From Lal Mirch last night through Uber Eats, and practically everything was a disappointment. The Saag Dal was watery and had almost no seasoning. I couldnt even detect the dal in the dish. The Tikka Marsala was not creamy and had too much tomato sauce/paste. The Chicken Mirchi was really soupy and the only seasoning noticeable was heat (not really a flavor), but not much else. The Chana Bhuna was also watery and didnt have much developed flavor. It was as if all the entrees did not cook look enough for the sauces to set up. Very little flavor across the board. The samosas were incredibly greasy. The basmati rice was off. It was loose and wet and did not have the distinctive nutty aroma and flavor of most basmati rice. The only flavorful part of this large dinner order was the naan (plain and garlic) and the mango lassi. The whole dinner was big disappointment, especially for $100, plus deliver fees.

I planned a birthday for my partner at Lal Mirch with several of his friends. It was wonderful. Everything we ate was so delicious. Zaman gave us helpful recommendations about our orders and Taniya made sure we were all comfortable. We were particularly impressed by the deliciously spicy curries, vegetable samosas, savory garlic naan, and creamy cardamom rice pudding. We will absolutely be coming back. Thank you for being so accommodating and for making such fabulous food for us.

Insane curry! Just visited Lal mirch tonight and it was a delight! The food was very good (especially the mango masala) and the service was excellent. The staff made you feel welcome and were very friendly. Highly recommended! Special mention to Abu who was also very helpful.

Awesome spot for quick and authentic Indian - the lava lamb is as advertised but delicious and the Aloo Ghobi and chicken vindaloo were also fantastic. Don’t forget to byob (Peroni’s from the liquor store down the street in our case).

Lal Mirch is the best restaurant for Indian cuisine that I’ve been to in a long time! I like it so much that I’m a repeat customer many times over— all the staff is so genuine and kind, and they remember me when I visit which is extra nice because I don’t feel like just another person to them. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh made-to-order, great use of incredible spices and flavors; I could go on and on. Needless to say I really like this place and it’s overall vibe. I recommend my faves which include the vegetable samosas, lentil soup, chicken tikka masala, paneer (cheese cubes) tikka masala, and pistachio ice cream. They can get extremely busy around holidays and on the weekend so go early or order takeout if you don’t want to have to wait for a table.

Unless you want to try yourself their food because its close to universal. First I found hair in tandoori roti that I ordered as I ordered some naan and chana masala with mango Lassi to go. Even they refund me or made me new tandoori roti . I hadnt felt to eat their food and wasted my money. I brought all food at hone and tossed it out in the 🗑 . The food was looking absolutely awful. The naan came out too oily and colored in black. The chana masala looked so orange and disgusting. It was looking so deep orange color like they poured too much food color in it. Absolutely opposite what other restaurants would serves their Chana dal(masala) or Make. Chana masala supposed to be yellow color but this is how they gave me in orange or maybe too chilly color added to chana dal.Even Mango lassi tasted like it was made couple days ago. It was not fresh. Tasted stale. Without touching naan 🫓 I tossed out in trash 🗑 bins and orange colored chana dal while it supposed to be yellow color. If you go previous reviews you will know the hair comes in every food order people buy So this is not something new. Because of hair in my tandoori roti 🫓 and chana masla (orange) I wasted my money and tossed out the food 🫓🗑 at home.

Superb Indian cuisine!!I came with my parents, who had never tried this cuisine before, and we got takeout (tikka masala, vindaloo, korma, karai, and makhnl) for the family. The sauces were rich, spicy, and luscious. Ive had Indian food from 3 spots in San Diego, but this is the best Ive ever had. My mom, whose usual gripe with food is not enough spice and flavor, was thoroughly impressed with the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant itself. 10/10

Great food and great service! Both times I was here I was helped by the owner, Zaman. On my first visit he gave me a free order of rice when I forgot to order one, and on my second visit he gave me a free refreshment of my choice while waiting for my order. I’ve had the vegetarian and lamb masala, and they were wonderful. Always a pleasure to come to this restaurant and will be back many times more!

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had! Tanya was so nice to our whole party and really lifted our spirits. The food was so delicious and we had a little bit of everything: mattar paneer, chicken tikka masala, shrimp curry, vegetable korma, cheese, garlic, coconut naan (yum!), a couple different delicious rices, some warming vegetable soup, and rice pudding for dessert. It was truly special and I will absolutely be back!

Fantastic food and super friendly service from Tanya who provided an awesome recommendation when I asked for a spicy dish. Went for a dinner. Food is good but what totally spoiled my mood was the service. Our server didn’t even come once to our table after taking the order to ask how the food was, or if we needed anything else. He showed up when we were totally done eating our food. We paid the bill and left.Atmosphere is an important component of customer’s experience, which includes interaction of the staff, and you guys definitely need to work on that please.

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in LA!! Ive been coming here for the past three years, and they never disappoint. I usually get the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. Absolutely the best Indian in the Valley. Weve been searching for good Indian for months but felt like the other 8 or 9 we tried all tasted the same and honestly felt like they were owned by the same people. This place is different and its delicious. Its a small thing, but golden rasisins in Korma is one of my favorite things and this place is the only one in all of LA Ive found that does this. Service was so friendly and polite. The food was well spiced and had deep layers of complex flavors- salty, sour, sweet, all the good stuff. Weve found out go to Indian now. Highly recommend.

This is American food, not Indian. The masala tastes like spaghetti and the lamb korma has an odd chunky texture. The samosas had red dye on the outside and caused my son to vomit profusely. Nut allergens are not clearly labeled on the website.
