Lanzhou noodlelicious in San Diego

Service was great as all the employees were super friendly. The food was good but not great. We were disappointed 2 of the dishes that I can’t remember the name of. I do highly recommend the garlic spice beef shank and the sour cabbage beef pancake which was unusual and worth it if you want to try something different.

The northwestern Chinese Cuisines focusing on the noodles. The original soup beef noodles is with the sliced beef while the braised one is with the beef squares for which might be hard to bite at my side. 😞😞😞 Noodles are enough in the bowl. The lamb skewers are the traditional taste that might be with the seasoning of Cumin. The beef pancakes are great! The beef inside makes the whole item juicy enough. There is a Bichon Frise of the owner inside the restaurant for petting 💕

Nice to try for some of the dishes. But I think the braised beef noodle soup are not that good actually. The beef is a bit chewy and it needs to be soft. But the stew beef noodle soup is nice as picture shows.

Love this Green China Grill, always try to go here at least once when I visit San Diego, their beef noodle soup is amazing, tastes very authentic, especially the thinly sliced beef with the radish garnish. Check out their bbq skewers they’re pretty amazing too. The service at this place is also good, you’ll be taken care of.

We ordered beef noodle soup and cumin lamb fried noodle. We also ordered cold dishes which were sliced potato (numb spicy), stomach, celery and bamboo shoots and lamb skewer. All of the dishes were delicious and their noodles are made there. They have a person making noodles which was great to see.

Wonderful food that was on par with some of the OG SGV restaurants. I was very happy with the flavors and textures of the noodles and beef roll. Even my toddler and baby enjoyed the food! The flavor of the lamb skewer was solid; however, the meat was too lean and pretty tiny.The service was prompt and polite. I wish they used a different sanitizer to clean as the smell was pretty intense. The music was so good here! I will plan to come back. :)

I love this place so much. Everything is fantastic but of course the soup and noodles are top notch. I like to change it up and get the wide flat noodles some times. I can’t stay away from the braised beef soup. My favorites from the trio of cold dishes are the cucumbers, wood ear mushrooms, and the tripe. If you’re not a tripe fan try it! Theirs is perfectly cooked and the hint of Szechuan pepper corn is perfect.The owners and staff are very kind and accommodating. Great service. They even sell jars of their chili crisp. FYI there’s a discount for cash.

I ordered mixed cold dishes and spicy hot oil noodles. The mixed cold dishes were incredibly refreshing, flavorful and crunchy. The hand-pulled noodles were delightful. They were yummy, flavorful, silky, springy and chewy. The atmosphere was laid back, clean and relaxing. The service was great and friendly. YUMMY!

Verdict: Perfection. Nothing beats freshly pulled noodles. On top of that, the staff was extremely friendly, including the owner who helped guide us through the menu. It comes out as one long piece of noodles where you would use the scissors provided to cut it into smaller pieces. Mixing everything with the oil gave it a great taste and wasnt overwhelming. The spinach noodles were nice and green and had a good freshness to it. We had gone to this restaurant earlier. Their noodle was really good. But they dont hand-pull it anymore. They now process the dough through a press and fold the dough over and over. They use a knife to cut off what they need. But the taste is not as good. Sorry
